1681  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Losing $350,000 because of a friend, what would you do? on: November 07, 2022, 05:16:04 PM
coming up with a number like the age where he lose my virginity at 15 is something worth doing, i guess nothing is wrong in trying it on roulette or dice.   Cheesy

i kept replaying it and no matter how serious should i be on what to do, is just not working. i'd just do what kevin did, just hysterical about $350.000.
1682  Economy / Gambling / Re: Crypto raffle game idea | feedback required on: November 06, 2022, 05:34:50 PM
To be honest, I'm pretty sure you will have a very few joiners on your lottery if you ever continue and launched it. People who knows crypto are not trusty enough to buy this type of crypto raffle. If you ever tried using pickerwheel to choose a winner, I'm sure people will laugh at your crypto raffle. There are many tutorials on how to make a probably fair raffle system and raffles or giveaways here are doing that. I've never seen anyone use pickerwheel to a crypto raffle, Only company parties are using it. I also think it is too early to think about the promotion since you are just starting to build your idea, 30% of the pot money for marketing and other stuffs is not right. People would just probably choose to play on an established lotto casino.

his players will pay for the marketing. that literally sucks. anyway its just his plans for now nothing is lost.

i think it will be fun to have a youtube channel for his raffle or just have a wheel of fortune type gambling to build trust to its audience. make it a fun game and he can ask donations from youtube live chat or twitch. he can develop his youtube channel too. that's a win-win.
1683  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Friends and Family members want me to invest for them, help! on: November 06, 2022, 03:22:57 PM

you would only be comfortable doing this if there really is a bull market that is obviously going on. if not its better to decline before you get blamed. remember that money is always the cause of relationship to go sour.

i did convinced my sisters to invest in BTC which she also bought and also advised her to dump when i saw the bull run is about to be over.
she bought shiba inu while the bear market wasn't over yet. so i again advised to dump it. it becomes a responsibility for me to teach her which took my time too.
1684  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How are Online casino's and sports betting platforms coping? on: November 05, 2022, 03:14:43 PM
if they are affected, i think we will know when they stop some marketing campaigns they are doing.  so far even the fiat base casinos are still in business. the only casino that was more affected since 2020 was the traditional casinos because of the lock downs.

people are getting used to online now. The more people are moving on to online casinos even in the recession time.
1685  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Scanning barcode to make payment on: November 05, 2022, 02:26:23 PM
If you're scanning an "invoice" from a bitcoin wallet (a request with a prefilled amount) make sure you double check its an accurate amount you're sending. There's a chance extra fees could be included too but this is a risk with most payment types.

The greatest risk comes from the qr code not being generated properly (so you don't send to an address the service don't own and then say you have to pay again) or the software you're using to scan it not being trusted - most apps I've used either have inbuilt scanners or trusted APIs with other apps. If you're in doubt of your security, you could always scan it with your camera and copy the text to put in your wallet once you decide it's not malicious (if it's just text for example) - you can normally copy text from most scanners too without clicking it and potentially following a link.

that's easy to ignore when youre a very trusting person and just scan a code without looking how much the price you are about to pay.
there is a local wallet in my country where we can scan QRcodes to pay. i don't really use the QR scan.

just be careful. there was an incident years ago when a TV host shows off his BTC where he didn't mind exposing his QRcode, instantly all his coins were stolen. but this is somewhat a private key qrcode. i think this is it. https://www.entrepreneur.com/business-news/lesson-learned-tv-anchor-shows-off-bitcoin-is-instantly/230537

1686  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Best Strategies for Trading. on: November 04, 2022, 05:56:03 PM

the upside potential of crypto is always positive when you buy low which is the strategy of newbies are often just holding the coin. but you may start by figuring the low and high is where you might wanna learn in order to have a strategy.

many traders start learning with the tutorials shared by users and then you can learn from them the how indicators work.

1687  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why Nigeria Runs politics of poverty on: November 04, 2022, 05:52:58 PM
Nigeria politicians are not the right people that should be in the political sector, they don't understand the world democracy and the politicians puts themselves above the law. The real politicians in Nigeria are not given the right to win elections in a free and fair way because they will end up loosing even if they win. If you look at Nigeria nepotism is what they are doing in their politics as if the country is their families birth right.

This fake people who has selfish desires for themselves, I will say criminals will disguise themselves as good politicians will do anything to make sure they win elections so that they can steal the country funds for themselves and their family. In Nigeria there is no Supremacy. The youths are people that should come together and kick these bad eggs out of the government so that there will be room for good politicians to display their political ideas to help the country grow.

the problem is that when they elect the right politician to run their country, these politicians are also over thrown thru the leftwings and with the help of their colonizers who wants steal their resources. this continent had not been freed despite the claiming their independence. Nigeria despite having so much gas, the leaders decisions are constantly interfered.

having two party in government means civil war all the time. Libya had resolved but were also destroyed. countries in Africa are always troubled where they are in the middle of giants fighting for their resources like what happens in Ethopia and Somalia these days.

if there is only one party in the government, projects will run and no interference from other party. Xi Ping is an example. one leader to solve issues. not minding what other countries are saying about democracy, its all an illusion.

“Nobody is always a winner, and anybody who say he is, is either a liar or doesn't play poker.”
good to see poker players come up with some wisdom of their own. this applies not just in poker.

here's one that comes from a wise man who once said "Poker is all just about bluffing, doubting your cards means loss"
you can google whoever said it but you may not find whoever said it. maybe Tyrion Lannister said it.

1689  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Be careful buying alts that already surged high in past bull market on: November 04, 2022, 04:28:25 AM

like the MATIC right now?
i think MATIC has good potential. it partnered with amazon recently that is why its jumping high. but i might have to wait a little to buy some of it. i only have few hundreds to invest it could just remain BTC or MATIC.  altcoins are rising though so this is a good indicator for the crypto bullrun.

1690  Economy / Economics / Re: Biden Administration Wants To Make It Easier To Seize Crypto on: November 03, 2022, 05:47:01 PM
That definitely sucks but instead of seizing the crypto currencies they should be enforcing taxation law. If anyone is possessing more than 100k in crypto then allow them but once they convert it to the USD which they will have to someday if they want to use it then make them entitled for tax payments. It is that simple but NO it’s USA, they always have to do something out of the box so what can one say?
On the other hand various countries are imposing taxes but at least peeps are happy trading it.

Does anyone have a good crypto wallet they would like to recommend under these circumstances?

Your best shot is hardware wallet. Put crypto in it, buy locker at the nearest bank and put it safely there.  Grin

that is about to happen. they have armed IRS agents which if you have heard it. they were training 87,000 IRS agents to enforce this taxation law. i can't picture it where they wear nice suits and busting doors to ask the private keys of your wallet. and guess what, their dogs sniffs hardware wallets.

if they are serious they better start with the list of names in the panama papers.
1691  Economy / Economics / Re: CBDCs are like a digital prison but Bitcoin is the key on: November 03, 2022, 05:19:50 PM
So who are these invisible people using CBDC's in my country??

Maybe it's not about ordinary people, but about some transactions that are carried out between state agencies or something similar. The common man is mostly looking for a way to profit when it comes to cryptocurrencies, whether it's day trading, or investing for a little longer period - and CBDC is nothing but digital fiat that loses its purchasing power every day.

However, we must be aware that sooner or later CBDC will be imposed on us as something normal, because it is only one step higher in the control of society - and for all those who will not like it, they will say that this prevents forgery and money laundering, robberies , bribery and corruption... In the end, you'll be a villain if you oppose it - but I'm already used to it, aren't we all a little bit villains in the eyes of the majority because we use Bitcoin?

yes we are criminals which only bad pays thru BTC especially drugs. that's why crypto needs regulation and the way to do it is CBDC. BTC is the reason why CBDC is imposed and its BTC to used to circle CBDC.

China bans crypto after having a CBDC. it could also happen to any country where they'd ban crypto when they have CBDC which will force us to use it. no escape for the villains.
1692  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why would CZ go after banks? on: November 03, 2022, 04:47:40 PM

i don't see the point of buying a bank. is he interested to have a big vault for his gold to back BUSD?
i didn't found an article mentioning which bank. whatever his plan is, it will serve a purpose for adoption to make him rich.

cryptos are starting to take over. finally something good the government is doing which is not bailing out a bank. a bank for sale is probably in the brink of bankruptcy so CZ is bailing out a bank.

everyone is a murderer. it just needs a good reason or a bad day.

i couldn't remember where i heard this before but somehow i believe its true. it only need a reason like money and you get to be murdered or you murdering someone.

when someone is murdered in a house, law enforcer understands that all the people in the house are considered suspect.
its not the other way around like they said innocent until proven guilty.
1694  Economy / Economics / Re: Is recession coming actually? on: November 02, 2022, 05:39:14 PM
with the inflation that we have right now, you can always tell we are heading somewhere down. the prices of basic needs like sugar or bread is up more than 15%.

USD may look strong global currency but this is because of the speculators hedging in the international market. but locally, you living in US can see the purchasing power of USD dwindling. try buying gasoline. locally, USD is not a strong currency. we are just waiting for something to break and all  currencies in every country will fall. something that will break such as ww3.
1695  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🎵 What kind of music do you listen when you gamble? 🎶🎧 on: November 02, 2022, 04:41:17 PM
I love Opera and Nessun Dorma by Luciano Pavarotti is one of my all time favourites, I can replay it many times without getting tired of hearing it, it is a legendary sound.

now that's rare. its the kind of music that feeds your soul and  you feel like you have just dumped everything out your intestine.
i often feel the same way when i  hear some Italian opera, although i don't understand what the lyrics says, its just something that sound and feels good. something like the Entrance Of The Gods Into Valhalla by Wagner.
1696  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do think that POGO should be declared as legal or Illegal ? on: November 02, 2022, 04:22:07 PM
yes it stimulates the economy and during duterte's time it helped because he needs funds to govern the country and for his Bill, Bill, Bill project. at present its Bongbong, Philippines gets an aide because Jr is friendly with Blinken or Biden admin.

the only party that doesn't like the POGO as far as i  know is the Liberal (opposition). if its their president that sits on malacanang, they wouldn't suggest POGO  to be abolished legal or not
1697  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you like commission job or salary base job? on: November 01, 2022, 05:13:39 PM

salary base is simple because you got the job because you are specifically hired to do it and get paid after a week/month.

but it would take a special skill to take a commission base job and most of it needs marketing and salesmanship. i tried to be part of a sales force before it took me 3 months to finally got one client to buy a product and it was just my uncle who simply considers it because he just don't want me going home fruitless. i realized after what he said to me that sales job is not for me.  Grin
1698  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How PoS becomes more centralized? on: November 01, 2022, 08:36:37 AM
its the validators that will make it centralize because its them who will decide what happens in the network. the validators includes exchanges who also stake huge amount of tokens (e.g. ETH)  such as binance and there are institutions as well like Blackrock.

while we see nothing is wrong about it because they are also part of the network, the SEC considers POS tokens as security which SEC can grab the necks of the validators to do something stupid like choosing which transactions to validate or worse freeze wallets making the network Centralized.
see what will happen if BTC is POS?
1699  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Trust in the Cryptoworld. KYC for project owners. on: November 01, 2022, 08:14:47 AM

no organization will force the team to send KYC. they even want to hide.
like anyone sending documents, the developer team can also use fake profiles on linkedin which had happened several times and the project was confirmed scam. so if you wanted to invest, you best do it on old projects than the new ones that has higher possibility of scam.
1700  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🎵 What kind of music do you listen when you gamble? 🎶🎧 on: November 01, 2022, 06:40:16 AM

The Winner Takes It All by ABBA.
i don't see it having difference whether there is background music or not. but i'd write it anyway because when it comes to gambling this song always comes in my mind. losing more money is like no more ace to play. this is kind of a gamblers song actually when you read the message on the lyrics. not all sort of a love song.
I have often listened to this song but i never realized it was all for gambling. But anyway, I definitely love this song and some other songs of ABBA not only when I gamble but even when i’m into reminiscing moments. Because most likely, when I gamble I want to hear the songs of 1980’s and 1990’s hits like Scorpions and Cinderella. They just keep me going with gambling.

i never thought the song is this cool until i hear Saul Goodman sing the song with his brother. he sucks while he sing it but his brother is in tune. this is when i tried to look up to sing along and realize this song is actually a gamblers song.

Scorpions and Cinderella seem for the old timers rebel, is there not anyone listening to the grunge like soundgarden, pearl jam or audioslave around?
