Can you believe this?

If it's SMB vs Northport, I'm pretty sure the spread will not be that high, so what will this spread imply?
I mean, are we seeing this guess team as the NBA team playing against a PBA team? This is so disrespectful, there's no more competition here.  Sad

That's probably because of their dominant performance in their first game, but Blackwater is a bad team, you can't expect that they'll win. I guess it's worth risking on the Moneyline as Northport is a decent team. Take that ML and the over.

it is +23.5 on handicap for Northport @ 1.9. Seems like a decent odd for me. I just do not want to risk it yet. I will watch more games of Bay Area Dragon before I start betting against them.

So the spread has increased? Hmmm... I think I see where the public is going here, they seemed so confident that  Bay Area Dragon will again have a very dominant win. Well, with their size and quickness, it could happen, but maybe Northport will get lucky here, I think I would not wait, I'll take the +.

Looks like we won't be having a lopsided win tonight by the Bay Dragons, end of first quarter and the NorthPort Batang Pier is leading by 6 points, very different with that game versus Blackwater wherein the Dragons led by 15 points at the end of the first canto.

Though its only the beginning of the game but your bet has a higher chance of winning now mate, congrats hehe.

We are wrong with our expectation, I'm glad I take the + points and I'm confident that Northport will cover this spread since it's a very close game so far. I hope you guys bet on the ML, there's a big chance northport will win here if they won't gas out in the 4th quarter.

^ They just resigned Andre Iguodala to another year, his 19th season in the league. His response when asked about it was funny. He said to tell Stephen Curry this is definitely his last year. I don’t envision him playing many minutes this season, but I can see him being a Udonis Haslem type player there to help out in the locker room and keep the guys’ heads on straight.

Oh ok, when I saw AI name as one of those veterans who haven't got a contract yet, I say that the Warriors are not going to sign him. But lo and behold, he pull some strings and then he is back again with them. For sure he will be like that, not playing many minutes but there to guide the young guys just like him and Draymond is doing for the rest of their young core. And I wouldn't be surprised if he become part of the management when he retires then eventually work his way out to become the coach or like president of basketball operations for the Warriors.

He deserve to play with the Warriors with a new contract, Iggy was one of the reasons why the Warrriors are successful, if you still remember, he won a finals MVP for a job well done on limiting Lebron James in the NBA finals, and though he is already a veteran, but he still has a lot to offer.

In case some don't know, Udoka had "an improper intimate and consensual relationship with a female member of the team staff."  that's why he got suspended and he apologized for it. I don't know if this is a big news but I'm pretty sure that the Celtics franchise is heavily affected by this one. He has been a very good coach in his first season, and he led the Celtics to NBA Finals. Their assistant coach, Joe Mazzulla will be their interim head coach.

Any thoughts with this one? How will the Celtics be affected by this?
Surely a hiccup for the entire franchise considering how huge his difference on them. Surely they'll move on from this one but was the franchise was too hasty on their decisions? I don't think so too, perhaps it's to tell that they abide on their policies. The entire franchise will surely be affected tbh.

As we can see in the championship odds, https://www.oddsshark.com/nba/championship-odds.. Celtics are the top favorites, but with this big news, I doubt they will stay as the top favorite, so I think getting the Warriors still gives the best value.

Coach Yeng debut as a new head coach of ROS has been ruined by his previous team.  Smiley

IIRC, NLEX were +8.5 underdog, but it turns out they are the better team in this game.
Big game for their import, and the locals have contributed as well.
1707  Economy / Economics / Re: MONEY IS THE MOTIVATING FACTOR, what do you think? on: September 22, 2022, 09:15:16 PM
Is money really the motivating factor or is there a root to this?  Ex, are you motivated by money or the desire to provide for self or family?  One could realize it takes money to do this, and money becomes a means to end and the motivation is actually to be a provider.

This is a good take. People are only motivated to do things when there is a something that they want to achieve, otherwise they won't push themselves just to get what they need or do what they have to do. For money, we only want to obtain it because we wanted to buy something else with it. Basically money provides us with everything that we need and want so long as we have enough of it, or even an excess of it (the more, the better). Money only becomes the motivating factor when we want to purchase something, otherwise, we'll be motivated by something else.
Precisely. It’s not that money is our motivation, but it’s the purpose that we want to achieve once we have money onhand. As inflation gets high from time to time, and so the need for money increases too. But if we can live in a place where money is no longer needed anymore, I would rather choose it but unfortunately, money is everything today as you can have all the material things you wanted if you have good amount of money.

Judging at the picture below, you can tell that this guess team is a big problem.

Can June Mar Fajardo even stop him?

What's the name of the Center, and his height?
1709  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Crypto Casinos vs money laundering. on: September 22, 2022, 01:13:34 PM
The casinos won't act as if they are a government agency implementing anti-fraud or anti-money laundering activities because that would mean hurting itself more than anything else. What they would do is to merely comply, no more no less. They won't do an extra mile because that could mean dirty money won't come in. And they don't really care whether the money is dirty or not for as long as it is coming in. But they also wouldn't go as far as tolerating very obvious money laundering because they're also bound to follow the law.
All they do is just follow the guidelines from the regulators, yes, no more no less because in reality, they don't want to give their clients some problems as losing their clients means losing their profit. That's why money launderers' loves to launder their dirty money in a casino because it's not strict.

I am just a bit sad at why it should be Lauri Markkanen that was traded but I guess the Jazz likes him because he is young and will be good for their rebuilding strategy.

They need to sacrifice him because they got a big fish, with Mitchell leading the team, there's a big chance this team will be a contender in the East, so hopefully our expectation will happen so Mitchell also at the same time can prove to the haters that he is not the problem on the Jazz.
1711  Economy / Economics / Re: Education on: September 21, 2022, 09:59:41 PM
It's part of being responsible, it's like having your first achievement of finishing school. Although it's not really the basis of success that's where it all starts.
For someone who's new to the real world, these kids and aspiring young professionals are doing their best to show what they're up to and finishing studies is one of them. As for the employers, these graduates thrived and were held responsible for finishing their courses. And don't bring the card of the discussion for most successful people and company owners aren't even college graduates.
Education might not be the reason to be fully successful but it’s certainly the first step of your life’s milestone. This is the wealth that no one can ever steal. However, it’s true that education alone cannot guarantee success and progress in life, it should be accompanied with hardwork and perseverance, and patience too so that success will be easier to achieve and will be more visible in the end.
1712  Economy / Economics / Re: Age as a factor depreciating some people of their dreams on: September 21, 2022, 09:45:14 PM
This is a really inspiring topic, these stories give a huge positive charge to people who have lost an important success in their life, unfortunately people start feeling hopeless and frustrated when they get a bit old and think that the end is near and that they don't have time to achieve some success in things They love it, these stories are really inspiring to such people and may be a reason for many of them to start working towards a milestone in their life.
Being in a golden age might put us into thinking that your time to chase your dreams is over and it’s time to just enjoy your retirement. However, with motivation and positive encouragement around us, those golden aged people will develop confidence again to continue what they have started because that may mean another opportunity to finally reach success and self-fulfillment. As long as people are alive, there will always be chances and opportunities waiting for them.
1713  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Invitation to teach Bitcoin in a school on: September 21, 2022, 09:21:58 PM
There will come a time when everyone will have knowledge about Bitcoin. As the country is developing, the standard of living of the people is improving.People will want what people think easily now.But in the future Bitcoin will take place in everyone's mind and will spread all over the world. But best wishes and love to everyone who is working on such steps in the school.Such initiative is the best initiative to make Bitcoin stronger.
And when bitcoin achieves its goal on global adoption in the future, then it will become a significant part on the lives of the people. That is why teaching these students these days is a way of preparing them in the future as they can have an edge over the others since they have known bitcoin earlier and have the chances to share their knowledge to other students or to their family and loved ones. All of this will be credited to you OP as you always think what’s the best for the students. Kudos to you OP and a very happy birthday.
1714  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does anyone think it will be much harder to buy bitcoin later on down the road? on: September 21, 2022, 08:58:51 PM
Title.

Hi all.

Just wanted everyone's thoughts on how easy it is to get bitcoin now, and what getting bitcoin might be like in the future? For example, I can simply go on cashapp and buy btc, send to a wallet I own the keys to. I can also use localbitcoins, paxful, I mean the list is kinda endless. Will that list become...not so endless in the future as the value gets higher?
I guess it will be another way around. When the world is already set for global adoption and bitcoin has already been widely used not only as an investment but as a currency too, then probably it will be easier to acquire and buy bitcoin in legit exchanges. Just like USD, when it has become a global currency, it’s very much easier to convert your local fiat into USD anywhere you want. And for sure, the government by that time will be more friendly on bitcoin users.
1715  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is going to a the bitcoin conference worth it? on: September 21, 2022, 08:43:57 PM
Hey so im still fairly new to the space, ive been investing for about 7 month now and thought about going to a conference. im not to social of a person but i feel like it would be a good opportunity to just be around the environment. Has anyone been to one? and do you think its a valuable experience?
I may not have been into a crypto conference but I know the experience will be worth your time. As much as you want to learn, you will definitely gain a lot of new insights and new perspectives about bitcoin that will be very much helpful as you conquer the uncertainties and lessen the risks investing and trading with bitcoin. So never give it a doubt, it will be a good opportunity not only for a newbie but certainly for all crypto or bitcoin enthusiasts.
1716  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is Solana a good investment in this 2022? on: September 20, 2022, 09:52:50 PM
If the market remains bullish then maybe we see Solona above 50$. but if the market remains bearish then we may not see 50$ this year. Solona is famous for its NFT marketplace.
Solana is certainly a good investment. But the fact that everything in this altcoin market is very dependent on the price of bitcoin, then it’s for certain that solana will only become profitable too once bitcoin creates another positive price increase. That will only be possible if the bear market starts to end so we can see the bullish part of the season.
1717  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Satoshi's faceless identity is the greatest Bitcoin success strategy on: September 20, 2022, 09:20:43 PM
I think Satoshi’s faceless identity gave a great boost to the success of bitcoin. The fact that the creator of bitcoin chose to remain anonymous despite the fame and gain the coin has gathered over the years. Most likely, if the creator wasn’t keen on remaining anonymous, the coin wouldn’t have retained the value it has attained today. Surely it can be considered as a success strategy but definitely not the greatest success strategy.
True, Bitcoin have become stronger without Satoshi presence in the community and that have also given Bitcoin the image of the uncontrollable network since there is no known figure that controls the network and no constant changes that could undermine Bitcoin security such as what we may witness with ethereum proof of stake algorithm.

Satoshi's unknown identity has also given Bitcoin more legitimacy from investors and that is why Bitcoin has remained the dominant cryptocurrency up till this very moment.

I think Satoshi has seen it coming and since bitcoin aims for decentralization, his faceless identity will definitely make bitcoin create huge impact and influence to its users. Maybe we can say that this is just a funny idea for Satoshi but I guess it helps a lot. Making Satoshi anonymous until now has also made bitcoin more interesting and appealing.
1718  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How mentally prepared are you? on: September 19, 2022, 09:59:10 PM
If you are not mentally prepared for Bitcoin investment, it can lead to mental retardation.
To start, they must learn about Bitcoin and achieve knowledge about Bitcoin. Basically, when they understand basics of Bitcoin via Bitcoin Whitepaper, Bitcoin Wiki and other resources, they will begin to have belief in Bitcoin.

That is a start of their mental preparation and as said, it should be triggered by knowledge. Without basic knowledge about Bitcoin, no one can strongly belief in Bitcoin, can not mentally prepared for their investment in Bitcoin.
Being mentally prepared not only for crypto but in all investments that we decide to invest, it may take a lot of time learning and gaining knowledge and skills. And when you see yourself getting ready for it, then the risk to lose from investing will be lessen because you now have developed the necessary knowledge and skills to create  more chances for successful investments.
1719  Economy / Economics / Re: How to be more effective working remotely. on: September 19, 2022, 09:24:35 PM
Working from home has actually become a double-edged sword to a lot of workers. It would have been better if working from home remains to have fixed time setup. The problem is that there isn't to many workers. I have heard of complaints from teachers here in my place that working from home has actually made them a lot busier than it was when they worked at school. They're now heavily loaded that the time they're spending working has actually increased. So while you're working from the comforts of your home, it isn't a big deal since you're still too absorbed in your work.
Well, it might give an advantage for some but for others, it may end up ineffective. Especially if you have other responsibilities to be done at home, then your main job will be compromised and become less priority. The reason why some workers still want to go out and work in their own working places because that’s the only way that they can focus to finish their jobs without the intervention of others.
1720  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 18, 2022, 11:48:34 AM
I'm thinking, what if Westbrook will fail again and Dennis will provide what the team needs from Westbrook? For sure, he will get a big reward for that, will be offered will a big contract while Westbrook is gonna be up for a trade. It's weird but it's possible as Dennis is just a consistent player, more if he is given more minutes.
Westbrook has 1 more year in his contract if I am not mistaken. That means the Lakers could shoulder this if they are not pushing a championship this year. But that's not the case, they want the win now and rebuild later. Maximizing the strength of Lebron while he still has the speed and body to give them more trophies.
It's now or never, after this season, if the Lakers will still fail to be in the championship, I think here will be a lot of changes in the team, and that would be trading some players, Westbrook will probably be the best candidate.

WB is not a failure, he did what he can on a roster that is broken with injuries and less skillful roleplayers.
Schroder on the other hand has something to prove, it balances their needs if ever the Lakers will keep WB.

He may not be a failure, but if they cannot maximize his skills due to the system of the Lakers that is not fit for him, there's no reason for them o keep him.
