1741  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: It Is Dangerous To Completely Rely On Cryptocurrencies on: September 12, 2022, 09:57:29 PM
Investing in cryptocurrencies is now viewed as normal and the use is now getting popularised to almost every young person growing up in the modern day to prosper financially. Even the young people who initially missed the opportunity have grown interest in it and are using it to support themselves.

With all of this taking place, I want to emphasize that purchasing and investing in bitcoin, which is undoubtedly the best cryptocurrency, does not guarantee that you will be completely sustained for the rest of your life. Consider it a reliable side business that you can use to supplement your primary income when it suffers delays or to supplement to cover up for your daily expenses.

Some people have lost their lives as a result of completely depending on cryptocurrencies due to the unexpected market downturn. Some people even committed suicide as a result of the last big decline in cryptocurrency’s price in the market. Whatever happens to you in this life, it doesn't justify ending it on your own.

For beginners, it is advised before investing in cryptocurrencies to do your own research on the subject. Check the historical performance of those who have profited from it and those who have not, this will provide you with a forecast. With this, you can plan your investment and get a solid profit over the long term. Keep in mind that this is not a quick money-making scheme, conduct your own study and invest only after full understanding and knowledge.

I will not advise anyone to completely rely on crypto for a source of income. Crypto investments are very risky, you could end up losing everything you have with just a single wrong move. However, there’s always ways to lessen the risk and make it work on you. Always DYOR in every investment you want to take, and when you think your profits from crypto are already undeniably huge, then you can stick to it as your own source of income.
1742  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing for a real Assets on: September 12, 2022, 09:27:34 PM
In general, we love Bitcoin and we believe Bitcoin is a virtual currency that has been called cryptocurrency. A few centralized organizations mentioned Bitcoin is an asset that is a virtual asset. Investing in Bitcoin means you are holding this currency or assets that don't give any guarantee of return. Holding value would decrease or increase. Like if you hold fiat (USD), it's the price would up against your local fiat or would decrease as well. So it depends on you how will you welcome Bitcoin. Investing in crypto always remains risky. So you have to decide yourself what you have to do.
An investment that is capable to give you profits and is more valuable and useful, that way it becomes an asset for you. With bitcoin, it’s a proven asset because a lot of people who take the risk have already been making good profits from it. Although not all people experience profits from bitcoin because some only made losses in bitcoin, but if you are knowledgeable and are patient enough to invest in bitcoin, then it will always be a valuable asset.
1743  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: September 10, 2022, 01:47:52 PM
It's the 3rd fight, so if there's another fight, it will be the 4th. If that will happen, then it's okay because these two are great fighters and they can give real entertainment unlike other chances who are boring to watch as they just want to score and run, this one they do a toe to toe fight, that's why the fans are asking for this fight.

If Golovkin wins this fight, then he may decide to retire. Even if he decides otherwise, I don't think that he will agree to another fight with Canelo. He has repeatedly claimed that he was robbed of wins not once, but twice. So why should he give an opportunity to Canelo, to get even? But then, there will be a lot of ifs and buts. Given the asymmetrical betting odds, no one in their right mind would think that Golovkin is a favorite to win this match. As I mentioned earlier, I have placed a small bet in favor of GGG. But even then, I am not being much optimistic.

That's another option, but if you will ask me, why would he retire if he can still make more money fighting Canelo again?

Here's what I'm thinking that could happen, If GGG cares more about his legacy, then retirement is the best option, but if he cares more about making more money before retirement, then he will continue to fight, whether it's Canelo or another fighter.

So for those who are asking about the new coach of NLEX, the name is already revealed.

NLEX taps Adonis Tierra as interim coach

To be honest, I don't know this coach but since the management trusted him, then I wish them the best and I hope NLEX will still remain as a team that could compete against the heavy names in the NBA.
I can't see any affiliate about their new coach aside from he's a former PBA player and drafter as number 2 before, that could be the reason why NLEX trust him for one year contract. Well, there's a lot of good imports that other teams are able to get, and I hope NLEX also got one because they have a good local players already, they just need to execute it properly every game. With this new coaching staff, let's see if they will become more competitive especially now that a new team will also come in PBA.

That's better for NLEX because there's not much expectation, so if this interim coach will fail, they can just look for another coach to improve the team. When coach Yeng arrived at NLEX, there are huge expectations from him but he failed that's why he goes back to his old team.

Expectation vs reality and coach Yeng did not suitable for the NLEX team because his system was not capable for the players that's why they will not  reach the magic 4 last season. Also maybe that's a good decision that coach yeng go back to his old team because if he is there for sure a big chance of winning is weaving next season, because they already have a bonding and build a chemistry from the old players in Rain or Shine.

I don't think the blame is on the players, I believe it's the coaching job is not good. It's my personal opinion only, so now that he is back with the ROS, and assuming they have good players, then can we expect that ROS will improve and will become a championship contender?
1745  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Are all crypto gambling charges expensive when it comes to USDT? on: September 10, 2022, 11:56:51 AM
If that's TRC20 USDT, you don't have to pay a high fee. I'm more comfortable on using xrp as the transaction fee is cheap and based on my experience it's the fastest. Crypto gambling si really expensive if you keep withdrawing and your gambling with a small amount of money only, it gives comfort to those who gamble a decent amount as transaction fees are just nothing for them.
1746  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Fernando Martinez vs Jerwin Ancajas rematch - Oct.8 on: September 10, 2022, 10:59:16 AM

So it's bad to stay in a weight division wherein you can't really make weight, another example is Casimero. he wanted to fight Inoue so he stayed in that division and in the first scheduled fight against Butler, he fell ill. And in the second one, he was caught with the Sauna thingy.

He was already struggling to keep the required weight, it's just too bad for Casimero as he was caught cheating, he could have just move up and be the number 1 contender to fight the champion. For Ancajas here, there's still one more chance for him to avenge his loss, if he wins here, people will stop doubting him, if he losses, then no choice for him but to move up.

I wouldn't directly say that he Casimero is cheating though, probably most boxers are doing that sauna thing to lose more liquid in their body prior to the fight and it could be the norm. What hurts Casimero is that he still has a lot of weight to lose days before the fight. So the issue is that him or someone from his team didn't monitor his weight and didn't do their assignment as far as safety is concern regarding losing that extra pound. But the focus now is Inoue vs Butler, but I'm not sure if the door is close between Inoue and Casimero. Maybe in the next weight class we will see them fight.

That could be cheating but it's not worst, he was just trying to pass the minimum weight requirement, the biggest cheating actually happened in the ring, either coming from the boxers or the judges, but on the judges, it's more common.

1748  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: September 09, 2022, 01:24:17 PM
A  boxer's career is good as his record.  If Canelo losses to GGG in this coming fight, it will greatly affect the future  hype and interest on the fight of Canelo.  It would be not good if Canelo suffers a back to back losses and it will surely affect his career.

I think if ever GGG wins on this fight, it would be interesting to watch another rematch to seal the rivalry.

Another "rematch"? I don't think that there will be any rematch, irrespective of the outcome. Even if by some miracle Canelo loses this fight, I don't think that he will be interested in another bout with Golovkin. He can always claim that now the score is 1-1-1 (although many of us don't agree with the scorecard from the previous two fights). In case Canelo is able to win, then there is simply no question of a rematch. The last thing I want is a controversial decision from the judges. If the fight is close and the judges show bias to either one of the boxers, then this debate will go on forever.
Yeah, I don't think a 3rd fight is needed if ever GGG win in this fight. But it will be interesting how the career of Canelo will go. For sure he might fight Bivol again in  the rematch.

So both can still continue despite losing this fight although it is very important for each one to win and sell the rivalry that it take years for Canelo to accept the 3rd fight.

1749  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 09, 2022, 12:19:44 PM
.......
Speaking of the free agent market, I noticed that there are 4 centers in there,

- Dwight Howard
- Demarcus Cousins
- Tristan Thompson
- Hassan Whiteside

Maybe this is another indication that the NBA is really going small basketball and the game has really evolved in the last 10 years.
It evolved for sure since you now see bigs taking three pointers and handling the ball.

It's probably more of an indication that Centers today are trying to acquire skills more suitable for other positions and kinda abandoned what they're supposed to be really good at. I bet they would still be useful to any team if they can post up like The Dream or The Big Fundamental.

Yes, this is what I also initially thought seeing the Centers are being left out and not a priority in the market right now. And what's left can't shot 3's or at least from the outside, maybe the exception is Cousins.

So gone are the days wherein we see them in the middle doing that Hakeem's dream shake and you are mesmerized that the center can do that. Or Tim's low post bank shot, or Shaq powers under the ring, back breaker dunks.

The new standard of a Center now is Jokic who can play all around, can pass the ball, and can shoot outside. Those 4 names listed are good actually, they had some huge contracts in the past, but it seemed like they were already past their prime. I think Cousins deserves a team, he was very useful in the last playoffs as a substitute of Jokic.
1750  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 Philippine Basketball Association betting discussion on: September 08, 2022, 10:57:35 AM
No update with his comeback, but he's on the bench during the finals. Though he's not in uniform but he fully supports the team and gives them some boost while cheering at the sideline. Base from the last repost, he is still in pain and he's trying to condition his body and with the therapies that he is undergoing right now, maybe we can expect him back after this new season (hopefully)

I think Romeo is already healthy, we might see him in the next conference, and just imagine, SMB won the championship even without him, just think how good the SMB having a healthy Romeo. Also, if he is still not ready, there's no pressure on him as the current roster can still manage to win.
1751  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: September 08, 2022, 09:20:03 AM

The only advantage of Butler here is on the height comparison, he is 5′ 6″ while Inoue is 5′ 5″, but it's not a big deal because, for Inoue, he can make his opponent vow down, Donaire was even taller with 5′ 7" but he did not last against the monster Inoue.
that 1 inch advantage is nothing if we will compare to what are the advantages of Inoue against Butler .

from the stamina and experiences ? and from whom He defeated ? I'm sure that inch means nothing to this Monster from japan , he is not afraid of anyone and he had proven that from defeating one of the toughest in that division Nonito Donaire so there is no one can hinder Him from taking another momentum .

Inoue will just use his quickness and his opponent will get knocked out. That's the kind of outcome I'm expecting in this fight as Butler is not a legit champion who ripped the belt of a champion by beating him, we have to remember that he got the belt because the champion got disqualified and he will never get the respect of the majority of the fans until he can beat a real champion, and in this case, it's Inoue.
1752  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: September 08, 2022, 08:32:42 AM
It is indeed a ticket for his rematch if ever he will decide to move up for another try, Bivol though got his own upcoming fight and we don't know what will happen, though personally I can say that with his amazing skills he can win that fight, we witness his quickness and good counter each time Canelo attempts to box him.

A rematch could happen with Bivol but Canelo's camp are just smart enough to build a hype before the rematch. And you are right, what if upset will happen? Then Canelo's popularity will be affected and most likely we will see a GGG vs Bivol, and IMO it's gonna be a great and exciting fight.

I don't think that Bivol vs GGG will happen even if he wins against Canelo in their fight. He will be too small at light heavyweight He is a career 160 lbs and this just the first or the second time that he will step up to 168 lbs, Canelo's best weight. So I think win or lose in here, Alvarez will fight Bivol and I think there will still be hype for this match even if the cash cow lost to GGG.

There's always hype because we are talking of Canelo, he was once an undisputed champion. Let us not talk about the future as we might miss the excitement happening for this fight, a trilogy is good but what if there's another fight after this?

You know, Canelo vs GGG is better than Canelo vs Bivol IMO, so I'd rather see the same boxer fighting than GGG vs Bivol or Canelo vs Bivol when the outcome still favors Bivol.
1753  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do we gamble or trade? on: September 07, 2022, 09:57:43 PM
For me crypto trading is a kind of work and in another angle it can also be your own business, it depends on how you manage it correctly. Besides that, in my few years staying here in the world of cryptocurrency I also found out that there are actually other exchanges that exist here that make fake volumes, so that maybe they can attract traders who will buy their tokens that are listed on their platform, this is always a business and maybe this is also one of their strategies for the sake of profit.
Cryptocurrency trading can be classified as a business but can also be considered as a form of gambling due to the risk involved and how the big players manipulate the market for their own selfish gain.
Having said that, in the early days of the crypto market I am talking about 5years ago. All the existing crypto exchanges as guilty of fake volume and including the CMC and Binance but they are somehow careful now that the SEC appears to pay attention to insider manipulation of the market.

These exchanges who are guilty of fake volume may be somehow controlled but stopping them would be hardly possible as they are also gaining good amount from it. So as much as possible, never trust new exchanges. DYOR first so that when you see red flags, then you will never end up compromising your money and lose them quickly just because you trusted a bad exchange or platform.
1754  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Which crypto has the highest potential?? on: September 07, 2022, 09:30:10 PM
it's your money so whatever the best comes from you and make sure you do your research before investing in the altcoin list above although I also hold some from your list namely matic polygon, I believe matic polygon will hit the price of $ 5 in the next 2 years
DYOR first before deciding to invest. That way, you will lessen the risk because you know eventually that the coin you are going to invest is promising and has lot of potentials to grow. And saying it, I believe ethereum got the highest potentials on your own list. The demand is high so most likely, it’s value will have higher chances to continue surging.
1755  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Awareness of scam on social media will help reduce scam on: September 07, 2022, 09:17:14 PM
Beginners don't get awareness of scam on social media,  some mostly get aware of scam with personal experience.

People do actually get a lot of awareness on social media(though mostly depends who they're following). It's just the simple (and unfortunate) fact that most of them don't read.
Simply as that. People often get aware through social media but when scammers start to target them, they tend to be more greedy and bite their offers. That is why people often get scammed because their actions pushed them to fall as victims. So most likely, it’s not the social media that lacks awareness, but the people themselves.
1756  Economy / Speculation / Re: Purchased at $23,500, when should I start to panic? When should I average down? on: September 07, 2022, 08:57:57 PM
1 BTC equals to 1 BTC. This is an unrealized loss, you do not have to panic, check the price history of bitcoin and see the good reason not to panic. If you can hold for like 2 years, you can just leave it there and see when the bull run will start. I will not advice you to sell in loss if you do not need the money for anything now.
Unless there’s no reason to sell, then panicking should be out in the picture. Bitcoin is highly volatile so expect that its price will move upward or in downward trend from time to time. Just stay patient and never check more often the price chart if you’ll be easily affected. That way, you will not be bothered especially when bitcoin price plummeted.
1757  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some say Bitcoin is dead but Bitcoin is not dead on: September 07, 2022, 07:50:37 PM
All the news about bitcoin dying has been happening time and time again in my opinion maybe just to get a lower price and to be able to adopt at the lowest possible cost, or maybe they really went bankrupt because of their own stupidity.
and even when bitcoin “died”, crypto believers tried to buy more and slowly but surely bitcoin became a way to store value, not just a speculative asset. Regardless of the price, it's here to stay.
so those who say bitcoin is dead will not be able to affect those who have been in this industry for a long time and also those who study and understand bitcoin well, it's better to just ignore it because eventually bitcoin will rise again and one of the signs is that it is declared dead, as previously.
Perhaps, it never has changed as we keep hearing these things once the market is in decline. Well, I'm not sure how it gives an impact on our mindset but I see that people already know that after this drop and market corrections prices will tend to rise and going to bullish once again. So, instead of listening to these negative news and market attacks, we'd better ignore this as this was not the case to happen. And we have to understand the volatile nature of the market and therefore expect changes in its trend from time to time.
As long as bitcoin is still very prominent, expect that negative speculation like this will always be present. But it won’t be a reason to destroy or ruin our faith in bitcoin because we know exactly the truth, and that bitcoin up to these days is very promising and still dominating the whole crypto market. So better ignore everything about bitcoin attacks as they can’t be helpful in the first place.
1758  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Crypto business isn't for everyone on: September 06, 2022, 09:58:38 PM
What you mentioned are for just investment kind of business only, more like trading or just buying coins, then call it crypto business.

Cryptocurrency business is too different for what it is like.
Having business in this space is more like only for those who have knowledge the volatility, regulations, have risk management, know how to adapt, security, even attracting VCs who will invest in to the company is a big factor, and having insurance.

Well everyone can start creating crypto business as long as you have a sufficient capital to finance your investment. But the problem is how to make it successful and sustain profitability in a business or investment especially if it’s a high risk one. This makes us realize that crypto business is not for everyone as only few risk takers have gained the needed knowledge and skills, and the strategies that are very essential in making a successful crypto business.
1759  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: [Take advantage of crypto volatility] bear or bull market on: September 06, 2022, 09:33:25 PM
You should have also emphasized on the ugly side of trading too. When a newbie reads you story, they might think trading is as easy as A, B, C and D. You may have made those attractive looking profits but through hurdles of losses

So much as we should take advantage of volatility, we should also have it in mind that it can take advantage us and blow away our accounts if proper risk management is not done.
Simply, crypto volatility do not just bring about profits but definitely inevitable losses as well. And mostly, if you are a beginner trader, and you don’t have the skills and good strategies to use, expect that you will encounter losses at first but this is just normal. However, if we always seize every opportunity that this crypto volatility brings, then this will also be a source of large profits in the end as long as we chose to be more patient and persistent in everything that we do.
1760  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stressful crypto market on: September 06, 2022, 08:59:08 PM
Previously, many people could not buy BTC for the reason that it was expensive and the amount was small. Is this already on the verge of Dropping Deadline???
That is the thought of every newbie in the market, they start to judge quickly on bitcoin without studying it well. The only reason why bitcoin is low priced these days is because we are still in a bearish market and so it’s expected that the whole crypto market looks cheap and low valued. But what you see today will be different for tomorrow especially when the market starts recovering and bullish market takes over, that will be the start of the surging of prices particularly for bitcoin.
