1761  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETC to $100 soon? on: September 28, 2022, 06:34:09 AM

what will drive the demand for ETC to reach $100?

miners may be trying to move to ETC but there is no catalyst for price drive and lots of merchants. i can't remember the only one token i saw in the past that is running on top of ETC. developers gotta wake to move and migrate to ETC.
1762  Economy / Economics / Re: Wheat War I is going to be World War III on: September 27, 2022, 04:51:05 AM
About on what scale the conflict will break out of course if a global economic crisis in general has occurred, then war will break out. War will occur when some countries are already weak against the economy, and people begin to starve, and civil wars begin to emerge.
The state party that started the attack on another country also measured the scale of the opponent's strength. They wouldn't attack brutally even if it was a small country. The greatest power of the state is in the hands of the people.
I think we will see a lot of protests (like the past couple of months in EU) but I don't think any civil wars take place though. The main war would break out between countries. Over the past couple of months we are seeing an increased amount of tensions between nations as well like the one between Greece and Turkey which are at the brink of war.
In fact we could see multiple centers of conflict each among multiple countries like multiple Balkan nations.
This could also be one of the reasons why some EU members are starting to form their own new smaller "European Union" like the one between France and England.
unless there is some deadly natural  disaster like flood or earthquake which sweep off the wheat - I am not sure there will be any crisis in today's world
It is the modern time and people rush for help where there is needed - these days Angelina Jolie is visiting flood affected areas of Pakistan and people are admiring her.

there are disasters. while there is flood in Pakistan, there are droughts in different parts of the world including in US. the worse is yet to come if Putin will really start a nuclear war, lets just count this as disaster as well because i bet no wheat will grow when that happens.

it does happen in my country where actresses visits an area devastated by typhoons. don't know how it could it help.
1763  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and Reputation on: September 27, 2022, 01:59:05 AM
You're a professional like a lawyer or a teacher in a respected university, will it harm your reputation if people around you or your students discover that you are into gambling, you're not really a compulsive gambler but gamble for entertainment, how will you explain this to people around you or will you explain to protect your reputation or just ignore them.
Why do I have to care for what people have to say?

because people care for their reputation Grin  as for me i also don't.
it is however our family that will hear something from other people. especially when you live in a small town where everybody knows each other. people will says something no matter what. even when you just smoke a cigarette in your backyard, they find faults. we're in 2022 anyway, just do it online.
1764  Other / Politics & Society / Re: What can stop the Russia-Ukraine crisis. on: September 26, 2022, 03:50:12 AM
Think of it.. had zelensky gave up the donbask region. (Crimea was a gift to them afterall) had Putin and zelensky sat for a solution some 4years ago.. or had NATO not offered promise to Ukraine for membership. Had zelensky and Putin talked just before invasion. Things could have been different for all....There were times when war could have been stalled, but no one did.now here we are..

that was about to happen to resolve issues through diplomacy but PM Boris Johnson stopped the peacetalk.
its almost uncontrolled now because they are now threatening nuclear war. its not good for all of us. the recent update is that China is willing to facilitate peaceful negotiation. this must be something to consider with cooler heads. this has to stop because winter is coming.

1765  Economy / Economics / Re: The economic effect of people flying from RF mandatory conscription on: September 26, 2022, 03:18:44 AM
The Russian Federation is conscripting around 300.000 troops (take with a pinch of salt). This comes, in theory from reservists and, as usual, most recruits will come from the politically irrelevant regions in the East and South. Many people in the RF know that there are good chances of getting killed in Ukraine and the RF is not being attacked (rather the opposite). In a regime that is quite harsh with protesters and opposition, it is remarkable how many are publicly protesting across the country.

By contrast, other have decided to simply leave. When the war begun, many flew and now even more. The people who can afford to do so and live away for a long time are precisely the professional elite and the most capable individuals (doctors, engineers, IT people, expert economists and similar). I think that this is going to have a deep effect in the economy of the RF.

Would you run away to avoid conscription? What will be the effect on RF economy?

its a mandatory for them and they are at war, anyone who will run will be considered a deserter. if you are in a country at war also, everyone who were trained as military service will have to comply to serve the country. just like US army, its also their military duty. they are also proud to join the force. they can't just run besides European countries suspend visa issuance and restrict Russian citizens.
1766  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Education seems to have failed in some developing country on: September 26, 2022, 01:31:22 AM

back in the days where big businesses in town subsidized the kids of their employees to go to school but when big businesses are compromised by unions, it shuts down. kids suffer to listen to apathetic teachers.

government has got a lot of things to intervene including education as a priority in building a nation. not just in Nigeria but in many different countries, education has failed especially when teachers are not paid well.
1767  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My worst day in gambling on: September 26, 2022, 01:05:28 AM
he was just a teen that time. surely we have done certain things like this in the past some are worse.
its easy for parents to forgive a teen to have done such mistake because after all he is just a teen. but his parents must have impose disciplinary action so it won't happen again.

when i was a teen i learn the consequences too as i walked home more than 2 miles because i lost all my money in a card game.
1768  Other / Serious discussion / Re: Marriage: Character or Beauty? on: September 26, 2022, 12:36:50 AM
In this present days, educated women are giving more problems to their husbands more than the village girls.

agree. be wary to educated women who has better job income than you or you will take commands from her. i've seen women who could shout to their husband in front of their friends. its degrading to the man.

or sometimes it takes a lifetime to know a person. when you both have to face new problems/situations, this is when you get to know the real characteristics of your partner.
1769  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to investigate and research new projects ? on: September 25, 2022, 11:09:29 AM

maybe just read carefully what they are saying on their website and see if they really understood what they are saying.

Quote
for example:
How does mining work?
You invest the necessary number of tokens in the selected pool.

if this doesn't sound right to you then this project is just trying to lure you to their scam. how they use the term mining is amusing because that is not how it works.
1770  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Good Crypto Exchanges With Cheap Listing Fees on: September 25, 2022, 10:44:15 AM
Hello I am looking for a reputable crypto exchange with good 24 hr. volume/trading and a fairly reasonably priced or free listing. If you have any with some of their listing prices or fees please list them here below. Thanks again.
The listing price now starts at $500,000. This price is the price for an initial good exchange. You are also obliged to pay for the services of a market maker to maintain trading volume. And your coin or token must meet the criteria of the exchange, in terms of the number of users, activity, and so on. It is probably more profitable to start with a decentralized exchange and create a pool . For small commissions, it is better to use Ethereum's L2 solutions.

$500,000 seem enough to create an exchange of you own and have a pool for different tokens.

they are making listing fees this high because its to kill the scam projects which usually are from teams who has no inside relation or support from bigger teams. not worthy anymore for scammers to try creating tokens and list. before they can even scam, they have to spend this big.
1771  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it right time to invest in Cardano? on: September 25, 2022, 10:06:50 AM
i was in the cardano community chat and saw this youtube video where it discusses that it may really be hard for cardano to rise up because the project is being suppressed.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mYKXtA9rycY

in the video, he figures why cardano is not listed in different platforms for investors to examine the project.
one reason is that cardano has nothing to offer to the projects who wants insider traders, listings and ICOs which they could not make easy money due to the system of cardano.
1772  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2022-09-22] JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon slammed crypto and called BTC Ponzi Scheme on: September 24, 2022, 04:21:29 AM

the message is that blockchain and tokens are fine and good to use if its issued by JPMorgan. if its not then its not good. this is Jamie who had been trolling around Bitcoin for a long time.  Jamie is just like the bankster who are losing influence Charlie Munger and Buffet. these are the biggest investors who forgot to update. so focused to fud the biggest threat.
1773  Economy / Economics / Re: Iranian launching Crypto Rial on: September 24, 2022, 03:48:03 AM
It seems that the country of Iran is becoming more open to the cryptocurrency industry. Or maybe they see the potential trend of crypto that will help a lot in the future in countries that accept the concept and system that exists here.

This is a good decision made by the country of Iran, I just didn't notice what kind of stablecoin they are thinking of making and what name could it be. do you have any idea OP?

whether its CBDC or a stablecoin, it will be digital and Iran is not going to be left out of the financial exclusion. this is the way to make their country part of the network. i think oil producing country like Iran will do exactly like this for them to benefit and get financial freedom.

Iran may likely supply gas to EU with this stablecoin they have as payment. Free from payment network they do not control.
1774  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chinese version of Metaverse will be great for meta casinos. on: September 23, 2022, 06:15:17 PM
I believe you will get asked to provide KYC because China is very strict country and want to control anything, they even ban Bitcoin due to decentralized nature and can't be controlled. I wouldn't use any technology about chinese version of metaverse because I don't think it's has a difference with virtual reality (VR). Also not sure if they will create and launch their own metaverse since there's a lot discussion until now but there's no realization.

I think if you want to take a walk in the metaiverse, you shouldn't have any trouble passing the KYC. It's a perfectly normal regulatory requirement, and over time we'll get used to it just as we've gotten used to smart phones and video cameras on highways and in public places.

Creating a metaverse is not a year of development, so you have to wait. I have no doubt that China will compete with the U.S. in this area as well as in other areas.

an updated video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Os6s4ZIH3l8

according to the video, you don't have to do KYC since its open for all. all you need is a device and connect to the metaverse. the are 4 stages of the metaverse says HTC President which currently is just in the larvae stage. i think it will still take years.

China is in the position to develop since they are producing all sort of devices. what is to hope for is if its really open for all just as they said that we only need to connect.
1775  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How much money do you leave in crypto casino? on: September 23, 2022, 05:17:32 AM

well i have invested in casino token which is i receive about $2 a day of the revenue shared. this is kind of money that stayed in the casino staked on their program. like everyone who invested in Betfury i think have some money locked right inside the casino.
it must have sometimes  crossed in the mind of investors that the casino could just pop like a bubble one day and lose all the money they have.
1776  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple (XRP) goes up, Bitcoin stays flat or even lose value on: September 23, 2022, 05:04:20 AM
xrp is good to use. like withdrawing or sending money to someone abroad but holding it as investment for a long time will not be a good idea knowing that Garlinghouse is like Hoskinson who had billions of their own token who could dump to its investors.

its good to know they are winning against SEC because if they are not going to win, a lot of altcoins may not have the chance to win against SEC.

1777  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Chinese version of Metaverse will be great for meta casinos. on: September 23, 2022, 02:50:47 AM

here is an update to their metaverse which they compare this time to the Meta of facebook. they're telling that its more decentralized which they are the ones setting the standards of using Meta. they are showing this to be more like how the internet today.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Os6s4ZIH3l8

if this is not created by Chinese, do you think there will be more hype on this development?
1778  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Twitch To Ban Gambling Streaming By October 18th. on: September 23, 2022, 02:43:32 AM
Twitch is owned by the multi billion dollar company Amazon. I think they can afford to take a loss if needed while they look for other ways to grow the platform. They're gonna be hurting at 1st but i'm sure they will recover their losses somewhere.

Interesting. I didn't know that Amazon-owned Twitch. If you talk about losses, they will recover. Their industry is large-sized. The loss from losing Gambling streamers will be a tiny amount for them. Note They only prohibit gambling streamers and not everyone else. So, I don't think they will care much about it. It would be great if any other competitive take this chance and rebuild/design their platform.

surprising to know they are owned by amazon. well they have all the right to do whatever they think is necessary. a battle is lost. a company that big will not mind losing money and users, its just a tiny chunk of their profit. what streamers can do is just to move on to another platform that is more friendly to them.
1779  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: regulating cryptocurrency on: September 22, 2022, 04:12:33 PM

they dont know how to. in the US senate, they invite blockchain expert or someone knowledgable enough when they discuss crypto bill because law makers themselves doesn't know how to handle the tech behind crypto. and Gensler himself pretends not understanding it.

China give up in trying to regulate crypto.
1780  Economy / Reputation / Re: Choice of Username and people's perception on: September 22, 2022, 03:56:00 PM
well your username sounds like you are the Man from Toronto.

we all have different culture. American Indians name their babies with something unusual going on the time the baby is born. thats why there are names like Crazy Horse because there was a horse acting crazily while they think of his name.

this is you can picture what happened when you met someone with the name "Two Dogs Fucking" or "Pocupine Coming out the ass Backwards".

seriously, i doubt youd be judged by your username though. but they may suspect something like you could be from the deep web looking for clients who pays for the service. are you?
