1801  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Single best piece of advice for a beginner on Bitcoin Talk? on: May 22, 2019, 03:34:53 PM
Basing it from my experience at first you don't always try to fit in every topics you want to go to just so you can post what you think will be sensible, your eagerness to post is something that leads you to having your posts be deleted by them specially the ones in moderated topics. What you need to do is try to read and learn the topic first before even trying to compose what you will post in the thread, because in the long term everything will just come naturally when you have the grasp of the common knowledge with cryptocurrencies which a lot of us already have.
1802  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Can We Expect A Legally Compliant Bitcoin Bank Soon? on: May 22, 2019, 02:54:49 PM
I have mentioned this bank/website before called Bitbond and in my opinion this is the closest business which future crypto banks will look like. Bitbond became popular ever since Reuters made an article about their loaning business that allow them to have international clients who can have the money in seconds with the use of cryptocurrencies.

But to answer your question will there ever be a crypto bank acting like a regular bank in the future? I guess the answer is a big no as there are other purposes of banks which we don't usually see. Aside from the regular loans and savings accounts we see often, banks are also in charge of underwriting of shares, mergers and acquisitions, as well as stock brokerage services and many others which I don't think a crypto specialize bank can handle when both of their experience and capital is lacking. The crypto industry doesn't need its own bank to be successful it only needs us to keep it alive.
1803  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Game of Thrones - Who will rule? Odds and betting discussion [Odds updated!] on: May 21, 2019, 08:44:41 PM
@Theb. I was also hoping for a similar ending. A symbolism for our world trapped in a long winter hehehe.
With how they ended it, they made it look loke the Starks have won the Game of Thrones but this isn't the fans want and this isn't the most probably way the show was headed. They are reaching when they said it was “bittersweet” as surely it was just bitter all through out with no satisfaction whatsoever.

Great that this trainwreck of a season was over. At least Drogon was smart enough to realize that pointy thing killed his mama.  Grin

This really makes me wish everyone just died, either getting zombified or the entire city exploding from wildfire so hot that even Drogon dies in it.

Honestly this could have been a much better ending compared to what we have seen in Season 8. With all the wasted character build up we have seen and how they skipped a lot of stories like House Reed not even showing up in in a single episode in the season it shows that the writers failed to give a meaningful ending for the viewers and that's including me. At least if they went to this kind of ending the Night King sitting in the Iron Throne is something I would accept rather than ending his plot build up in just one episode, well I guess the Night King, the army of the dead, and three dragons is simply way over their budget.

An undead continent would have been far more interesting than what they gave us. Then they can use it as setting for a spin-off later.
Yeah that is what I have been thinking off the Night King showing that the power of men is really worthless with all their selfish desire to be one on top, making them part of his loyal blue-eyed servants would teach us a lesson that power doesn't really matter in the series. There are really at times where I just wished the battle at winterfell ended badly and they made their real last stand at King's Landing where they have also failed but that's just some fantasy for mine.
1804  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-05-21] Argentina: Bitcoin Bought at $20K Retained More Value Than the Peso on: May 21, 2019, 08:09:39 PM
This news is more related to Argentina's economic crisis rather than the crypto industry itself, the article only made a desperate connection on how BTC can presumably helped the citizens avoid the inflation happening in the country which is really farfetch not unless they have provided evidence that Argentinians didn't do some preventive measures of their own in putting their cash on other investments. Content makers should stop doing this kind of trash since they are misleading people that BTC is some kind of solution for the macroeconomic problems we are facing, even if you have a few thousand of citizens banking in BTC a big inflation like this one won't be stop.
1805  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Bitcoin different ways of encashment? on: May 21, 2019, 06:50:14 PM
Just to add some points lang when encashing through coins.ph kasi sila na pinaka convenient way of liquidating your Bitcoin. Never ever directly convert your BTC to PHP in their Peso Wallet kasi luge ka. Mas maganda pang idaan mo muna sa exchange nila before converting it to PHP para near sa true market value. If you have a Level 3 or above verified account malaki laki na ma e-encash mo through bank deposit nila which covers most of the banks here in the Philippines, also it's free of charge unlike sa other methods nila.
1806  Other / Meta / Re: Plagiarism should remain a zero-tolerance bannable offense on: May 21, 2019, 06:06:35 PM
I think that Lauda is trying to say that everyone can, by mistake, say something already said by someone else with your own words. That somehow I may say something very close to what Satoshi said in his whitepaper, for example, and be banned for plagiarism for that .

This may be considered plagiarism in an University.... And I agree that it is plagiarism, But not here.

The point is that this is not plagiarism in this forum. Plagiarism is being checked by bots and is only banning, afaik, only word to word copies.
I agree with you, with a lot of common topics being posted as a new one then we will obviously have a lot of similar answers who have been posted in the past. But this kind of plagiarism doesn't exist in the forum or at least set an alarm to hunters as it still counts as their own created post. Mostly the copy pasters who have been banned directly have just copy and pasted the post or added some few words of their own or in some rare cases they just translate a foreign language to an english text to make it their own words, none of them actually create their own post with their own content. Posts that have been directly copy and pasted are obvious as they haven't even change the structure of the sentence .
1807  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Crypto friendly Credit Card Payment Gateway/Provider on: May 21, 2019, 03:35:42 PM
Best bet as of right now is instead of finding a credit card that would linked in to your company go for known crypto debit card providers such as Bitpay or Cryptopay as you will instantly have access with them, its just like accepting any regular debit card payment on your part as the users are the one loading their account with. I also think that this will be way more advantangeous on your end since what you would be accepting are already part of the crypto industry.
1808  Other / Meta / Re: Plagiarism should remain a zero-tolerance bannable offense on: May 21, 2019, 02:48:32 PM
Then again if the pros really outweighs the cons (which is just one plagiarized content) then I think it really do justify the ban being lifted by the admins. I've seen good posters, legendary members, and trustworthy person at present just got banned because of their plagiarized post which was posted 3-5 years ago that they obviously made when they were still low ranking members in the forum. Honestly digging dirt from them which was posted like I said 3-5 years ago shows how much they have changed and improved all through out their stay in the forum, and banning them from the mistake a couple years back would be a real waste of a good forum member.

For me I would rather have these permaban lifted members back rather than have low ranking members posting generic messages as well as spam all through out the forum, they might not be plagiarizing but it sure is an eyesore for me and maybe for other members as well.
1809  Economy / Economics / Re: Jobs Created by the Blockchain & Bitcoin on: May 20, 2019, 08:58:40 PM
Whenever there is a new industry or a category of an industry is created, we can expect that jobs can be created in the process offering many good opportunities for qualified people to be a part of.
The success or progress of the industry and jobs you are talking about really depends on the local government of any country. Yes there are countries spearheading the industry with jobs but if you really want to see progress specially the ones you can see in your own country a lot of that will depend on whether or not the government is inclined to the industry itself. Now even if BTC is more than 10 years old a lot of countries are still just starting out with their own regulation and they barely even stary accepting blockchain or crypto related companies in their country. With that being said we can't really do anything to make the progress much faster as it will all rely on how they see the success of the industry.

1811  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Kevin O'Leary's Take On Bitcoin! on: May 20, 2019, 06:45:21 PM
Surprised that even in main stream media you can see how close minded can people get when it comes to Bitcoin. Anthony Pompliano just got victimized by a no coiner that even if he contradicted all his opinion he got shutdown by ending the conversation with Kevin's opinion of BTC being a garbage. Just by seeing how Kevin went with his flawed reasonings shows that he doesn't really have any knowledge at all on what he is talking about, he is just another man trying to look smart in front of the masses.
1812  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bitcoin Values.com - Scam or Not ? Paying ? on: May 20, 2019, 06:14:37 PM
~snip~

Most notably convincing was the website's listed physical address, which is:

1800 Mission Street
San Francisco, CA  94103

This is home to a historical building known as The Armory.

It was most recently used by porno filmers kink.com and is currently unoccupied:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/San_Francisco_Armory
Here is the address nutildah is talking about.

Not unless you believe that this Fort Knox looking building is storing mining equipment, this place is not what you think it is. Just by doing a little bit of research on the things they are giving like their office address you would personally know whether or not they are a scam. People looking for a way to identify if its a scam or not doesn't even need to go as far as posting the concern as the answers are already provided in their website from their payment schemes and their fake addresses you'll already have a gut feel that something is off compared to what other legit cloudmining sites are offering.

1813  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: easy bite for scammers on: May 20, 2019, 03:18:59 PM
These investment schemes in the internet at one point in time a victim will also invite other people just to earn a little more with their referral/commission system that is why even though they are victims they also have tricked people into joining the scam and possible the people they invited also have invited other people (the cycle just continues) that is why it's really hard to actually catch the culprit as we don't even apprehend people directly working for the scam just the victims tryings to recruit other possible victims.

As much as we want to punish this people we cannot even catch them as they barely leave any digital footprint behind, the only thing we can do now is for a lot of people be educated enough until scammers see that they can't victimize any more people in the net.
1814  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Need a site I can buy crypto with a debit card. on: May 19, 2019, 09:14:02 PM
I'll give you another way of buying cryptos, since you have a debit card it also means that you also have a bank account and you can directly transact using it in localbitcoins through wire transfers or bank account to bank account transactions. The best part of dealing in localbitcoins is you get to choose what you think is the best offer listed in the website. Even though you can only buy/sell BTC in localbitcoins, BTC is much more easier to convert to other cryptos rather than using a debit card to buy from it directly.
1815  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-05-18]eBay Refutes Rumors of Supporting Bitcoin Payments on: May 19, 2019, 07:59:10 PM
eBay's payment method that's more inclined to Paypal is becoming more irrelevant by the day (at least on how I experience transacting with sellers). Unlike Amazon where you go from “add to cart” to the payment section you have a chance to directly message the seller and talk things out through the conversation and based from my experience that includes what other payment methods they accept as well. Even though they aren't showing Bitcoin as a payment option it still depends on the seller if he/she wants to accept it which I am surprised that some of the sellers I have messaged do acvept BTC and other crypto, so even if eBay doesn't accept it officially at least some of their sellers do and I think its a good start for them changing eBay's views on crypto payments.
1816  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: May 19, 2019, 07:01:01 PM
Update lang guys about sa "Enhanced Verification" process na nataggap ko, so sa pagkalikot both app and desktop site wala ako nakita about sa links on the verification process fortunately nag notify na naman sya through app kaya swerte ako at cinopy paste ko na din sa Google Keep notes ko. So after nun nag continue na ako sa verification process ko and to confirm my Video verification sya holding your id while stating your name and the date today.

Some tips before verifying.
  • Mag handa na kaagad ng downloaded files for payslip and other proof of income para di na maabala while verifying
  • If yung desktop pc mo walang webcam or malabo resolution ng laptop webcam mo mas ok to verify your account with your phone. Kailangan mo pa kasi ito para sa video verification. Plus coins.ph allows you to upload a recorded video beforehand.
1817  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wilder vs Breazeale - May 18 on: May 19, 2019, 05:19:29 PM
~snip~

Exactly, a Dillian Whyte would be more attracted though, if Fury or AJ is not available. But fighting with  Breazeale? Nah, it looks like this is a mis-match for me. And trying to hype the fight by saying he wanted to kill someone in the ring? It just backfired on him and he lost a lot of respect by saying that. He and Fury should settle everything, but I guess we won't see that fight anymore as their managers or promoters right now won't allow that fight to happen.
See this is what I am talking about Dominic Breazeale cannot even block a simple right hook from Deontay Wilder and he is looking like Nostradamus for saying that he wanted to "hurt Breazeale so bad", he did what he asked for but I could not say it's a win for Wilder even if the fans got rowdy with the KO. In my opinion this match is similar to Canelo Alvarez taking on Rocky Fielding except Wilder is more overpowered than his opponent, and he really didn't prove anything at the end except for hurting an unworthy opponent.

Paulit-ulit sila magpapadala ng noticed at kapag di mo pinansin yan for a long time, magiging zero ang limit ng account mo and that will force you to take the process.

Try to dig your inbox dun mismo sa app or sa support portal if nakatanggap ka ng noticed. Minsan iyong iba walang video interview e.
By the way nag increase ba yung Cash in and Cash out limit mo once na nakapag verify ka? Or nasa 400k pa din? Maraming salamat harizen. Muntik ko ng hindi pansinin.  Grin
1819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Wilder vs Breazeale - May 18 on: May 16, 2019, 07:16:44 PM
Well this is a big step down compared to Wilder's match against Tyson Fury even though this match was mandatory he could atleast face more deserving boxers like his fellow american Jarrell Miller or even Dillian Whyte just to prove a point. Agreeing on a match with a man who isn't even in the Top 10 is like accepting a fight just for formality and longevity of his belt. Wilder really needs to step up if he wants to face Anthony Joshua one day and he won't reach it just by fighting nobodies in the ring.
1820  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Coins.ph Official Thread on: May 16, 2019, 06:20:03 PM
Mga kabayan may napansin ba kayong KYC update na notif sa coins.ph apps? Kasi within the past month twice na sya nagpakita sakin although I'm currently Level 3 verified parang it has something to do with the "upgraded" or "updated" verification process ng coins.ph? Thank you.

P.S.
baka sa mga outdated lang ito na verified accounts (almost 2 years na sa akin) kaya kung bagong user kayo na verified siguro wag niyo munang isipin ito.  Grin
