1861  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you had the chance to meet Satoshi Nakamoto what would you ask? on: August 03, 2022, 09:38:49 PM
I would ask him this

I am not a journalist, so I don't have neither uncomfortable, nor historical or technical questions for him.

I would ask him if he is all right. He is missing for long, so his health and safety is a matter of concern.
And I would simply tell him "thank you for creating Bitcoin".
For a person that put us to where we are right now, I think it’s more great to say thank you in the first place. Bitcoin has been very good to us, and all those positive things should be credited to its only founder, Satoshi. And as we are living in good right now, hopefully he’s also living the best life he deserved to have. No more questions, just give him my heartfelt appreciation.
1862  Economy / Economics / Re: Social media, now looking more for business than for socializing. on: August 03, 2022, 09:19:42 PM
Do you think social media is now becoming more a place for business than socializing, Could it be as a result of digitalization and things moving online or more people now starting business online because of need to somehow generate income or another source of income for self to survive the economic situations which is becoming tougher?

That’s even an advantage for most of us, as business can be more accessible in social media. Since social media is where socialization forms, then it’s better to make it as our own advantage. However, this also bring caution these days as scammers also have their own way to take advantage of the people, most particularly for those who are business minded people as they can fall easily to their traps as victims. So always be careful as scammers are also preying in social media.
1863  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Don't sit on your hands on: August 03, 2022, 08:57:03 PM
Many people are expecting Bitcoin to go down to 10k before they start investing, well not a bad idea but sometimes your expectations might not come true, just because bitcoin was 3700$ in match 2020 doesn't mean we might see 10k per Bitcoin, remember it was because of CoViD that's why BTC plummeted to 3700$, the best strategy is DCAing, 17500$ per BTC weeks ago was a good opportunity honestly, for the short time some said but might be the last for the long term too, instead of guessing and making predictions avoid sitting on your hands and do nothing.
DCaing is better as you still take advantage on the current discounted price, than just keeping on waiting for a perfect price price and yet, still end up missing the train. Although bitcoin repeats its history most of the time, but it does not guarantee that what had happened in the past will still be a good basis at the present. Sometimes, bitcoin creates its price when we least expect it. So in order to keep up with the train and never miss another opportunity, always create a move every time the market is showing us a good signal.
1864  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Are Early Adopters rich? on: August 02, 2022, 09:59:20 PM
I just wonder: are Early Adopters rich?
We know AA, author of "Mastering Bitcoin" was once attacked because he did not made any fortune having BTC from early years, then people donated some BTC and he collected around 100BTC.
Hal F's wife sued "I am Satoshi guy" and they were talking about $ 3-digit mln, so they are not kind of people who wait every month for their wage.
What about others? Bitcoin Core developers? Forum admins or well-known old users? Are they crazy rich living in their own castles or did they lost their coins, sold for $10 because of mortgage loan or student's debt and today they must work 7-15 every day?
It all depends on how they managed their early investments. If they are not eager to sell them earlier at a higher value, maybe due to some emergency cases too, then it’s certain that until now they are still hodling bitcoin, a lot bigger than before. Early adopters are most likely living in fortune nowadays, only if they did not spend their bitcoin in times they need fiat the most.

1866  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you look down on Bushy or undeveloped areas? on: August 02, 2022, 08:15:47 PM
Nope, because these areas could eventually be developed and that's when the exponential increase in value begins.  One of the best assets to hold which has stood the test of time is real estate.  Land typically always has some sort of value attached to it and seems to grow over time.
Land properties could be a good investment since it grow its value along with time. Unlike other assets or investments, buying real estate could give you more profits in the long run because you know its value will never depreciate, but continue to double its price especially if that will be more developed and will show source of progress.
1867  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is trading really worth it? on: August 01, 2022, 09:59:16 PM
Done with the right mindset and hard work, trading can be profitable. But whether it is profitable for you is the question. We all have different financial goals. And trading requires hard work. Are you ready to put in the work? Do you have a trading capital? Have a knowledge of all these before beginning trading. This will help you trade with proper planning.
Everything is worth doing - if it is done with good intention and not to harm other person - many people drag people into their evil mind games.
I remember once a colleague of mine tried to drag me into the trading - and wanted me to invest for him, and he will take care of my money. Thank God I came out of it. Later we got to know that he was not even aware of ABC of trading but he used to pull money out of people's pocket. And disappear.
Everything that is done with passion and positivity will always be profitable in the long run. Although trading may simply look like gambling for others, but for good traders who definitely give their most of the time learning in trading and gaining experiences, that’s like their investment. And when trading starts to bring profits and prosperity in your part, trading has become worth doing.
1868  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will be running in your mind if Bitcoin reaches $1000 again on: August 01, 2022, 09:45:44 PM
It will be the new chance to reinverse in the bitcoin at the cheap price, because it was happened only with the time travel to the past. Most of the people ,nearly 70 percentage of economic sharing population know about the bitcoin now.Instead of feel about the bad,it’s better to way forward. Then you should try to make some good changes to your past.If this 1000 dollars happened, huge new people will back to forum.
This is another great opportunity to invest again, and for newbies to enter the market. Bitcoin is the best asset in the market and it’s the most profitable one, so it’s always expected that the people will be in a panic buying knowing the price won’t be the same all the time. Instead of worrying, just always think the positive side. Bitcoin is great and so we should never miss another train again not to invest.
1869  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Teofimo Lopez vs Pedro Campa - Aug 13 on: July 30, 2022, 07:19:16 AM
So I concur that this is a must win for him and even call out Taylor after the fight

Well, he needs to be careful, one step at a time, win here in an impressive way and he will eventually get a chance to fight the champion. Taylor vs Lopez should be a great fight, though Taylor is the champion but Lopez skills could beat the champ so I might back him to win if that would happen.
There are still a lot of fighters in this division that are not champion, former champion and then there are tank and contender. Of course the main target is Taylor but I doubt that if ever he wins here, he will go direct straight to him. He will have to fight lots of boxer first to be able to get a crack. And maybe that's the time he will get a shot, however, Taylor might not be the champion in the next year or two.

Well, if that's the case then he needs to beat them all. Taylor should be the main target if Lopez wants to be a champion again. His future depends on this fight, if he wins impressively, the fans would believe that Lopez is a real deal and that he can be a great champion, eventually his time will come and he will face Taylor.

This is the start for Lopez at this division, so yeah a perfect opportunity for him to show his class and his arrival as those champions are going to take notice of what Lopez is capable of doing in their division. It could be a win-win for them, because admit it or not, we don't like his arrogance and his brandish style. But this is what the fans wanted, so this division will be in the magnifying glass because of Lopez. So the champions should be prepared that he is coming for them.

We are going to find out if he really is capable of becoming a champion in this division. He made an excuse when he lose to Kambosos, does not want a rematch, and decided to move because he think he is better in a heavier division, so the outcome of this fight will prove if he is right or wrong.

By the way, since he is heavily favored, I hope he would really work hard to win because the fans are expecting him to win so this division will have a big threat to the present belts holder.
1870  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Haney vs Kambosos II (Undisputed) on: July 30, 2022, 06:39:11 AM
It's going to be a big deal for Kambosos because he clearly lost the first fight and this was his only defeat. If he gets his ass handed to him for the second time he's going to make his lifetime score look much worse and he's taking on someone who's clearly better than him. We're talking rank 1 vs rank 4 in the division. The only good thing going for him here might be that he learned something from his first fight. I feel like he's going to lose again.

If Kambosos has learned something from this fight, it's that he can't go brawl with a technical fighter because he will be countered all night. And that's what Haney did in the fight. And if ever he adjusted, for sure Haney will do the same.

I like the 'ass handed to him' metaphor, and yeah that's what we have seen in the first fight. Kambosos has no answer whatsoever and as the fight goes on, he was evidently outclassed.

It's very tough for Kambasos to beat Haney if he is not quick enough to catch him. This is just like a Mayweather vs Pacman fight that although Pacman has the power since Mayweather is quicker than him, he could not beat Mayweather because Mayweather will just score against him. I'm seeing this rematch a possible same scenario in the first fight.

But it's not impossible if he has a great plan, then we might see a trilogy of this fight.

This is the odds on the first fight.

Quote
Haney is the -175 favorite (risk $175 to win $100), while Kambosos is priced as the +150 underdog
source

For sure we will not see the same odds anymore in the rematch, but for those who believe that Kambosos will win, then the odds will be in your favor. Yes, Kambosos is not quick though, that's given, so he has to make a game plan that will suit his capacity but the main goal is to beat Haney.
1871  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 30, 2022, 04:50:54 AM
The chances of Carmelo getting a championship ring is somehow bigger if he will be in the Warriors than he is at the Lakers, I mean, the Lakers roster is decent but not good enough compared to the Warriors who have a big chance to win back-to-back championship this coming season 22-23 because the Lakers are still rebuilding the team after what happened to them recently, you know what I mean.

Lakers have the same roster, so their chance will still be the same last season. Even if Davis will be healthy but if Westbrook will remain struggling, that will not help the Lakers as Westbrook is surely a starter again. Melo getting a ring, that sounds nice, maybe he can retire after that.

We can't compare the Lakers and the Warriors, both could have the same chances last year, specially Lakers wherein there is a high expectations on them. While the Warriors were not among the favorites by suddenly even without Thompson in the first half of the season, they manage to stop on the top 3 in the West. So let's see if Melo can even land to a decent team this season, him, Dwight and others are still free without any offers.

I'm sure these two will get an offer because they will easily fit into the budget of any team due to their low amount of contract. If Melo will and with the Warriors, no doubt he will be a big help as it has not happen the Warriors acquired a player that they did not utilize well.

Howard might stay with the Lakers, I think they really need him as he is very clever inside, he can stop Jokic if ever the Lakers will face the Nuggets. Melo, of course, can go, there are some players that could fill his position, so the big 3 should be surrounded by good role players and they should stay healthy if they want to be in the Finals.
He is part of the success of the Lakers when they won a championship, he was sent to other team after they won but they got him back after a season because they realize they needed him, now, I don't know, only the official announcement would prove if he will stay or leave the Lakers.

It's not going to be easy for the Lakers because they need to beat the defending champion if they want to be in the Finals again.
The journey going to the championship is never easy, except for the Warriors before when they have Durant, now, it's very unpredictable, and even if the Warriors won a championship last season, it still does not guarantee they'll win again in the coming season.

according to the NBA Futures odds - https://www.vegasinsider.com/nba/odds/futures/

Celtics is the heavy favorite to win, followed by the Warriors.

Brgy. Ginebra was able to cover their handicap of -2.5 @ 1.8. A good option compare to Moneyline @1.65 (although I don't know when was the time it was shifted and adjusted to @1.75). But seriously, the same handicap can almost cover too by Meralco as they literally take the game close with Ginebra the entire game. They are even up by a few points entering the 4Q.

I'm really sure Ginebra will take that game however Meralco is really playing at their best. It's like every possession should be worthy or else that will lead to the turning point of the game. Do-Or-Die next game and we should expect a close game. I'm sure the Moneyline odds for both teams aren't that gap next game.

The momentum now is on the Ginebra, we should not be afraid betting on them even if the odds will be higher than game 2. I'm thinking that if Ginebra will win, it should be a double digit win as Ginebra are good in closing game and Ginebra has a high win rate against Meralco.

Magnolia is +9.5 live, I'm taking it now.
Good luck, that's a big gamble but currently, the lead is still in double-digit and I don't think Magnolia still has time to come back and win. +9.5 too has very slim chance of winning as most likely Magnolia will not play hard anymore knowing they will still lose.

Yeah, it has a slim chance indeed and I lost my bet this time. Magnolia losing double-digit, that's uncharacteristic for a team that has a long winning streak. Anyway, I'll just wait for the odds to open for game 3, I'm sure they will bounce back from this big loss. No games tomorrow, it will resume the next game, and I think one day rest is enough, they'll figure out how to win next time.

Magnolia is +9.5 live, I'm taking it now.

Congratulations Bisdak, hopefully I will have my win also tonight. We still have one quarter, with a better defense and offense, I believe that Magnolia will make it a close game, it's okay if they'll lose as long as they will not lose more than 9 points because game 3 is more exciting and another chance to bet.
1877  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: July 29, 2022, 04:16:54 AM
Yes, of course, GGG is still trying to achieve another success and a win here will be a big success for him, maybe he can consider retiring after that as he will have a sweet retirement coming from a big win. However, if money will be considered, then he will again give Canelo another fight and that would make the fans happy either.

GGG vs Canelo 4?

I posted about this possibility a few weeks ago. But that will only happen in case Golovkin wins this time. If Canelo wins, then there is no chance for another fight, as he can claim that this time he won without any controversy. But even if he loses, I think that Golovkin will continue with his fights. He can easily go on for another 3-4 years before he retires.

Obviously, a loss of GGG here will mean that the rivalry is over and GGG will likely consider retiring as well because he is not getting any younger. However, let us not think of that for now, let's see the outcome of this fight and hopefully GGG will have more fights to come after this.

Doesn't matter what he's doing or what he's up to. He released one of the most important inventions in this lifetime and left. He deserves to rest peacefully probably in some beach int the Bahamas. Respecting his privacy and all that.

^I get why most people are curious, but you get the point.
We should be grateful for what Satoshi has invented because that what gives fortune to majority of us. He deserves to have his own break and live a life peacefully, out from spotlight. So wherever Satoshi right now, whatever he’s currently into, that’s already none of our business. After all, if he’s living in luxury right now, he all deserves that.

Let's see, NLEX is on a do or die game, they should play better.

NLEX is currently +6.5 and 2.95 for moneyline.

If you see an opportunity with that line, then you should not waste the opportunity and just take it.
2.95 is a great odds, you can put half of your money and you'll still win a good amount, this is the best game to bet on NLEX as it could be their last game, so they are expected to play harder to stay in the series.

As this game is going to be a physical game, under is also very attractive, you can get under 180.5 now.
1880  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: July 28, 2022, 01:44:02 PM
So all of a sudden, Draymond Green becomes the center of attention the last few days. Now there's more. He wants a 4-year max contract extension. This means he will be paid $164 million for the next 5 years or around $33 million per year. His current contract would be $25.8 million for the next season and a player option worth $28.5 million in the following season. Draymond is too full of himself. Although he is a very important piece of the team, he is starting to decline with his low stats performance in the last season.

And Draymond also mentioned that he is willing to explore offers from other teams should the Warriors' management not be interested in a max contract extension. Do you guys think Draymond is worth that max extension? His current stats are not even worth his current contract if I were to say, but I got it, the management do not want to break the team's core.

Due to their good chemistry, I think he deserves to have a max contract because he is a big part of the success of the Warriors. Though his performance has declined there are some games that he really contributes big to win. It's not only about the stats IMO, it's more about the impact in the team, and we cannot deny that without Draymond, the Warriors defense will struggle.
