Uggh. Why do people never learn???

Will it happen, won't it happen? Will it go up, will it go down? Maybe it will go sideways, then diagonally for a while, and bounce off these funky little lines I have drawn on this colorful log chart. Surely this is inevitable! I mean, it's a LOG CHART!! I'll just post about it and give some tentative circumstantial evidence to support my claim. Oh wait, there's a manipulator in the market, we're all fucked! It's all over people, just sell sell sell. NO, wait!!! BUY BUY BUY... now sell. Yep, it's fucked, it's a giant ponzi scheme. Or is it? Hmmm....

Just STOP will you?! PLEASE, I am literally begging. All you traders and speculators make my blood boil. You can't predict shit, so stop deluding yourselves. I'm avoiding this subforum from now on.

Go and do some real work for once in your bloody lives!

19162  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin in France: first legal decision directly related to Bitcoin? on: October 20, 2011, 05:12:07 PM
just call bitcoin a Crypto-currencies, and make up some laws.
19163  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Decentralized BTC Exchange Client. impossible to implament? on: October 20, 2011, 05:10:04 PM

Decentralized BTC Exchange Client. Can we do it?

Here is how it would work:

Decentralized BTC Exchange Client.

1) download the Decentralized BTC Exchange Client, Magically send money or BTCs to it
2) Place a bid or ask in whatever currency you have available on your client
3) the Client would continuously scan the other clients, asking each one, "Can you fill my order?"

in theory you could place a order of, 1$ CND for 1$ USD, just as easily as 5$ for 1 BTC

the big problem  is how to "load your client with money"... the current exchanges handle the wiring of money to 1 central place (ex. MTGox)

handling the wiring of money directly to individual clients (In and Out), would be the key, and may prove impractical / illegal (i don't think you can be your on bank).

this would be much easier to implement if it was dealing with only cryptocurrency , ex. 1 BTC for 10000 SOLID COINS

is it just me or is a Decentralized BTC Exchange Client impossible??
19164  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mt Gox Volume Going backwards? on: October 20, 2011, 02:13:49 AM
Has anyone else noticed this?

Exchanges

Market   Last   Volume (24h)   Bid   Ask   High   Low
mtgoxUSD   2.3400   101,696.62   2.34   2.34   2.54   2.04

After a few minutes:

High   Low       Volume      Buy     Sell   Last
2.53600   2.04010   101560   2.34150   2.34200   2.34200

I've noticed this in the past, but always thought I may be tired or something......tonight I know it's accurate.............

looks like it 2 different time periods

"debating how low the price can fall before the currency is declared dead"

Bitcoin can still be use for payment regardless of its value. The only thing that will happen if the price gets really low is we'll lose some people who were in it for a quick buck. Whether the value is $30 or $0.30, I can still buy some and spend some. As long as people own some and there's a reason to move them around, bitcoin will live on.

I just wish it was easier to find stuff you actually want to spend them on.

You talk as if bitcoin is stable enough to just spend $100 buying bitcoins, then spend those bitcoins to buy $100 worth of stuff.  It isn't.  Sure, you can still perform transaction in bitcoin.  The problem is that it doesn't store value well at all.  For all practical purposes bitcoin is done for at this point.

Discouraged!Depress!Demoralize!Deflate!

will you stop it already you've been at it for days now....

I'm just trying to combat nonsensical religious defenses of bitcoin.  The mere fact that we can still buy stuff with bitcoins is, when you take into consideration other important factors, a horrible reason to get into bitcoins.  I wish bitcoin had succeeded.  I really do, but we all ruined this thing and the sooner it's over, the better.

are you holding any coins?

19172  Economy / Economics / Re: Is There Any Hope Left? on: October 19, 2011, 06:33:43 AM
there is a reason why bitcoin was created

i believe this reason still stands

Yes, there is hope. there is always hope

19173  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mass panic buy when reaches $1? on: October 19, 2011, 04:36:39 AM
People were saying there would be mass panic buying when we hit lots of values on the way down from $32.  My prediction is that, just like all those other values, $1 will come and go as we continue down.  I'm further happy to confidently predict that the price will not go above $5 again in 2011.

why not over 5$ again?

why is it bitcoin gets better and better, yet the price goes lower and lower..

what do you think prices will be in 50 years?   0  or......

Bitcoin will not exist in $50 years.  The price won't go over $5 because not enough new money is going to enter the system since the reputation of the bitcoin has been irreparably damaged over the past months.

what are you talking about "reputation of the bitcoin has been irreparably damaged " last i checked the bitcoin protocol is still thought to be unhackable...

19175  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Waiting for lowwer prices on: October 19, 2011, 04:17:29 AM
i didn't vote yet, but i'd say around 85-90 cents. maybe the bulk of transactions will be at a $1, but i'm still not sure yet if it will need a spike below it before any kind of rally takes place.

expect the unexpected

bitcoin has grown so much in the past few months, yet its "stock" has fallen even more so. why is this? stock prices are BULLSHIT.

everyone watch out the Bull is going to take one more shit before taking off
19176  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Waiting for lowwer prices on: October 19, 2011, 04:00:17 AM
Roll Eyes
I know bitcoin is not a Ponzi scheme.
You, however, are treating it like one when you go out and tell people "look, this investment lost 90% of its value but you can get in for cheap RIGHT NOW!"  How about you tell them about the benefits of being independent of the government or small fees or some of the ACTUAL BENEFITS?  You're giving a bad name to bitcoin because these people will come and look at the charts and call you an idiot.
Yeah, people are holding back... and the reversal is coming but not now.  People like you forecasted lows at $20 all the way down to $3 and none of those ever proved to be permanent.
Can I take the heat?  I'm short about 100 bitcoins on bitcoinica.
edit: Just reread your post.  "Promise to DOUBLE THEIR INVESTMENT!"  If you're going to tell them that, might as well tell them to come to Bitcoinduit Grin

yes well I'm assuming you've already told your friends about why Bitcoin is the best thing to have been invented since e-mail. now tell them if they where thinking about getting a piece of the action ... time is now ...

Promise to DOUBLE THEIR INVESTMENT

i stand by this statement ... i say anyone who buys bitcoin for less then 5$ will double their investment within 2 years.

the coins are so rediculisly undervalued right now, its not even funny, and still we are so greedy we want to see lower prices b4 we buy back
19177  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mass panic buy when reaches $1? on: October 19, 2011, 03:50:07 AM
the bigger question is ..... at want price to we stop buying!

so lets say it hits 1$

everyone gose nuts and buys bitcoins in mass

10,000coins sold the price is now 5$ a coin.

wtf do we do now!?
19178  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Mass panic buy when reaches $1? on: October 19, 2011, 03:32:50 AM
I would sell at 1 to buy 10000 in another currency.

thanks. good to know there's someone to buy from for $1 each... you want to set up a deal outside the exchanges?

Let's all agree to only buy at $1 and create a $7Mil buy wall. Remember, don't bid over $1. Agreed?

I agree! (fingers crossed Muhahaha)
19179  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Waiting for lowwer prices on: October 19, 2011, 03:09:34 AM
This thread is just amazing.  It depicts everything WRONG with bitcoin right now.
> The attitude that bitcoin is an investment rather than a money/currency/store of value/whatever you want to call it
> The Ponzi scheme attitude of trying to attract suckers
> The ever-decreasing "We'll all buy back in here!!!" prices

some years ago invstors were buying Chinese yuan's as an investment vehicle... just because you call it a currency dosn't mean poeple see it as an investment

bitcoin have proven it self to not be a Ponzi scheme... your the sucker for thinking promoting bitcoin is a  " Ponzi scheme attitude " ... actually your an idiot

everyone is waiting for new lows to buy back... you can feel everyone holding themselves back from buying ever-time theirs a good swing down...

we are hours away from a sudden reversal! can you take the heat?

19180  Economy / Speculation / Re: serious discussion on the strategy of the manipulator. Please no flame posts on: October 19, 2011, 02:33:36 AM
So what do you think The Manipulator is going to do now with the crash to $2?  Will he buy?  Will he wait?

if i was the Manipulator i would buy a lot of small amounts over a long time. as to not effect price much, keep doing this until a rally is clearly happening and then back up this rally. everytime the rally appears to be over Buy it up 0.50 cause even more panic buying.
