1921  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: Coinbase account closure, they don't allow me to pay out 40k EUR on: September 19, 2019, 06:20:59 PM
I have a feeling that you have just been flagged with the suspicion of money laundering. Did you disclosed your business towards Coinbase and are they fully aware about you being the middleman for them? I see several cases here but its really either a flagged in money laundering or Coinbase doesn't want any association with you because you are acting out as an unofficial middleman for them. I don't know certain EU laws but its more likely just those two. Try calling their landline or any phone number you can call them don't just leave them messages as their online support sucks.
1922  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League Discussion Thread on: September 19, 2019, 04:40:16 PM
On the first matchday Napoli made an upset win against Liverpool. Truly a disappointing thing to see for any Liverpool fan out here watching their first match in the Champions League. Napoli took advantage of their mistakes and turned it into quick goals. The first one was an awful defending made by Robertson that lead to theam having a penalty and the second one was really a careless move of thinking that even if its the full time they could be careless as much as possible. If I'm a Liverpool fan I would trult be disappointed in this upset win for Napoli.
1923  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bakkt is coming: will this be biggest crypto week ever and set off bull run? on: September 19, 2019, 10:51:01 AM
You see the good thing about hodling Bitcoin on a gain is the best time to participate in any speculation now. I know that a lot of people are turning their attention to news related to the launch of BAKKT so this is the best time for them to speculate right now because the risk involved is mitigated by the margin of safety we have. Even if we still don't know how the market will react with this news I know that it is still considered a win win for us. We don't depend on any news but wait for the actual price movement to happen
1924  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is this right time to invest in Bit Coins on: September 18, 2019, 07:29:49 PM
Nope, you already missed the chance when no one is looking at it except for us who are already in have a position in the bear market. Now that Bitcoin is consolidating at this levels you now have to understand that this is not the perfect time to buy in because you really don't know if it will continue to go up in this level or go down. It's really a 50-50 chance and there is really no point in risking your money if you don't have a position already. Investing is not really about just holding it you always need to consider on how you can maximize your profit with your capital and have a margin of safety when entering the market. The margin of safety is also something you can't get at this stage because we already are consolidating.
1925  Economy / Reputation / Re: Users Scam Defenders on: September 18, 2019, 06:39:27 PM
The feedback you received from Vadi2323 isn't even counted as a trusted feedback therefore it is hidden in your account and won't reflect anything in your future trades, his negative feedback is good as a hearsay on his part there is really no point in fighting it because it won't have any bearing in your reputation. The only chance it will get removed if he gets a negative feedback as well from DTs which the red tag will reflect on his account. But like I said there won't be any bearing to your account like the negative feedback you have sent to him, this will be solve if a DT member steps in and side on who he thinks is right. But if I have a negative untrusted feedback as well it won't really bother me that much.
1926  Other / Off-topic / Re: {Warning}: Vulnerabilities found on password manager LassPass on: September 18, 2019, 04:35:43 PM
Is it unfashionable to say I don't trust any password manager?

There are only a handful of services where I need proper security and in that case they all have proper passwords that I've memorised. I couldn't care less about all the other ones.

To be honest you really don't need to store all your passwords in a software. I would understand it if you have a spare offline desktop/laptop where you can store an offline password manager but keeping an online one especially those browser extension password managers is like keeping a list of your accounts in Google Keeps, its really not that safe. I would rather write my passwords in a notebook and hide it somewhere good like in our mini library where I store my past highschool and college notes.
1927  Other / Meta / Re: Is this concerning? This could be a conspiracy too. on: September 17, 2019, 08:50:48 PM
Mods review each reported post one by one and the delete it on a case to case basis, the only way you will get banned if the post reported from you is plagiarized. You piling up deleted post on your end won't be something bad as there is no strike system I have heard of that once you hit this certain number of deleted post then you will get banned from the forum, there is no unwritten rule about that. The mods will also see that the post being deleted on your account are old posts and which in 2016 I think you are still a newbie and mods are aware that most high ranking members now have improved on the quality on how they post as compared to the days when they are just a newbie. It's similar on some successfully appealed permaban users get their appeals approved since the plagiarized post they made was posted when they were just newbies.
1928  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: A rule most traders should live by (another topic about Binance & USA clients) on: September 17, 2019, 07:49:09 PM
It looks like you would be "dancing the tango" again soon. Binance when they pulled out from the US was not a permanent decision and it was just because they are illegally operating under them. Right now they are planning to relaunch the soonest time possible and they are already planning to accept deposits in Wednesday (tomorrow). The sad thing about it is they will just offer up limited cryptocurrencies for now and by the looks of it they will just only have 6 cryptos at launch and that is including Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Litecoin. The limited coins they have at their re-launch might just be them trying to go slowly with the authorities but I think they will start to add more soon once they get their operations smoothly running.
1929  Economy / Reputation / Re: Question for DTs ad red tag on all addresses in a single Bitcoin wallet. on: September 17, 2019, 07:00:28 PM
I'm not a DT member but that is what they usually do when all accounts are connected to a single one especially if they are found out that all the accounts are cheating one campaign. The tag would either be about cheating the campaign and if other accounts are connected to the address but isn't part of the same campaign then the tag would most likely be about being an alt account of the ones ones cheating the campaign. Either way all accounts proven to be connected to that address will get a red tag without the disapproval of any DT member here.
1930  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: CryptoExchange project on: September 17, 2019, 06:20:00 PM
I believe what you are looking for is not really for someone who you just found online or who you work for you online. The problem I see here is aside from the lack of communication you will have from your online interaction you will also have a problem about the progress of your crypto exchange. Without you seeing him regularly you won't really have any live updates about what is happening to your work. Aside from that you will also have a big problem about the security of the finish product you will have, you really don't have any assurances that what he will give you will be without any kind of vulnerabilities made by him so really your best choice is hiring someone who you really know or who you might work with personally and physically.
1931  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2019-09-16] Darkweb criminals launder cash for bitcoin at pennies for dollar on: September 17, 2019, 04:49:02 PM
I agree on what Kakmakr said. Bitcoin's activity in the dark web have decreased through the years since the silk road days. Criminals in the dark web have became smarter now and has shifted to a more anonymity focused coins like the monero and dash and even the authorities are the ones who have said it. Bitcoin is not anonymous as we think really even countries can issue a blacklist on addresses related to illicit activities that is also the reason why some of them have shifted in a lesser known crypto as well as a more anonymous one.
1932  Economy / Economics / Re: Average savings across the globe on: September 16, 2019, 09:04:03 PM
@OP I think that you read the article wrong it is US citizens who has a higher household saving compared to Canadians. Here is the quote written in the article you provided.

However, the USA sits a lot higher on the list than our closest neighbors. Canada came in halfway down the list in 15th place with average monthly savings of $152. Mexico sit all the way down in 21st place, saving just 9 cents an hour.

Given that the US citizens have a higher annual income there is no doubt that they are saving more money compared to Canadians. It's more about the income they are receiving rather than how they spend their money since they have closely a similar market and the prices aren't that any different I would say that this is not about their standard of living as well.
1933  Economy / Economics / Re: Can Libra Disrupt The Financial/Economic System? on: September 16, 2019, 08:06:25 PM
If a stable Libra coin is issued, of course, it will greatly affect the existing financial system, because the level of its distribution and use will be supposedly large. Since this stable coin will be supported by various generally recognized national currencies, as well as other financial assets, its price will be arbitrarily set and various abuses will be possible here, and Facebook has repeatedly been exposed in them.

It might not be as supported as you think, France has already said that Libra isn't welcomed in the country as soon as it is introduced and they are planning to have the support of the European Union to block it in their countries as well. As far as I see it they are not in favor of a cryptocurrency that is belonging to a big company who is already known for misusing their users' private information. As far as I can tell this won't change anything in the financial perspective as long as it is introduced as a payment system it will only attract people who are already using Facebook and as far as I can tell a lot of buyers and sellers already have preferred payment methods on their own and that is including other cryptocurrencies, Libra would just be like any other option out there.
1934  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIBA Basketball World Cup 2019 on: September 16, 2019, 07:20:54 PM
One thing is for sure after this World Cup I know that the USA and the NBA will change their views on not sending their stars anymore, they assumed that if they send a few quality players and some benchwarmers is enough to play competitively in the world scene but even that is not enough for them to defeat Serbia in the fourth place. Congratulation for Spain with their easy win against Argentina I just hope in the next world cup other countries would still be competitive and will still have the ability to defeat USA even if they have a good line up in the future.
1935  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: More than a year after GDPR implementation, half of UK businesses are not fully on: September 16, 2019, 06:17:25 PM
Maybe the lack of enforcement is the one to blame here? That's the funny thing about European countries where they always strive for regulations and laws to control and regulate cryptocurrencies it's either repeated statements or if it happens you won't see any kind of enforcement going on

The other funny thing is that despite its ongoing dislike of the EU the UK is vastly more diligent in enforcing their regulations than most other countries. I'd like to see what the stats are for elsewhere in Europe. I expect them to be way worse overall.

Based from the news I see the United Kingdom is entirely different when it comes to crypto regulation, with the upcoming Brexit they have I think that they are preparing for it in all aspects that will affect their economy which includes cryptocurrencies and they are very active about it. Other than UK you might just have the small nations like Malta and Liechtenstein being active overall in their crypto industry.  If EU countries really want to make a change in their crypto industry they must put in work with the words they are saying not just threats and plans.

1936  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin hash rate at all-time highs again on: September 16, 2019, 05:43:14 PM
One big factor why even if we aren't near the all time high and still the hash rate is up is because of the low network fees we have. Way back 2017 when the network fees are unbelievably you will see that the hash rates started to fall down. Now that we mitigated that cost for the miners this made Bitcoin mining much more appealing for them even if we are just at the 10,000$ level. The hash rate will still go up as soon as the prices starts to go back up again and I believe it will with a lot of new miners entering the market as well as the old ones resuming their operations again we won't have to worry about losing any hash rate any time soon.
1937  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bollinger: "BTCUSD is in a BB Squeeze, Awaiting confirmation of a move higher." on: September 15, 2019, 08:21:56 PM
The way I understand Bollinger bands as an indicator is that the more narrower the bands get the higher probability it will go up. In this case if we follow the idea that it will go down back to the 9,000$ level I don't think we can consider that a squeeze if that happens BTC should at least be trading around the levels near the 10,000$ area a 10% difference on prices cannot be consider near. So if you expect that will be revisiting the 9,000$ area then we can expect that this breakout won't happen anytime soon.
1938  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: More than a year after GDPR implementation, half of UK businesses are not fully on: September 15, 2019, 07:20:25 PM
Maybe the lack of enforcement is the one to blame here? That's the funny thing about European countries where they always strive for regulations and laws to control and regulate cryptocurrencies it's either repeated statements or if it happens you won't see any kind of enforcement going on unlike the United States where all departments involved makes it known that there are laws in place to follow. If they are really concerned about data protection they must really enforce it in their own way not only create regulations about it. Aside from that they must make people aware about the regulations they have aside from enforcing it, this will prove much faster and see that the rate of compliance will go up immediately
1939  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Guide] Protect your Crypto: Security tips for your home computer & network on: September 15, 2019, 06:18:37 PM
Malware protection is really important when it comes to protecting your home pcs especially the ones containing your cryptocurrencies so you should include it in your guide. I know a lot of guys already loss their cryptocurrencies because of malwares and trackers and its not a joke on installing a few softwares like malwarebytes to get ahead of them. One way to avoid malware is not to download the things that suddenly pops out on websites you just visited and also do no go to websites that have suspicious links. Other than that USBs are also one of the main culprits so if you want to plug a USB drive in your computer than you must scan it first before trying to copy files from it.
1940  Other / Meta / Re: [REPORT] Fake Conversations Alerts on: September 15, 2019, 05:10:38 PM
Best thing to do now is just report it to the mods since this newbies don't have the bumping power anymore they think they have. What they are doing now is just ruining the quality of the thread and I think the OP of the thread is aware of that because they won't have fake conversations in the first place if they didn't hire any. But to me personally I would just let them destroy their own thread because cleaning up their mess is not our work we could just focus more on real threads where some low quality posts are lying around.
