Isn't it that mass adoption is about cryptocurrency being used by many people as utility or accepted as an alternative to fiat regardless of the price?

This is just my observation.
Many actually do not want to hodl but are forced to hodl because they are very much rekt right now and could not find a better position to sell.
Also, those who keeps saying/advising hodl are probably those who can no longer buy also and just do not want the price to any lower.

There is a possibility that there will be an increase in price (maybe temporarily). What is more important here is what will happen to the platform after the hardfork. From what I read, it will lead the way to solving scalability issues so that is something positive and one to look forward to.

Basically, blockchain is needed in every industry where third party can be eliminated and there's many of them. Maybe those related with logistics?

It is already mid-December and some are still asking bull run this year. There will be none. If you doubt that, then why don't you share your opinion why there will be a bull run this year? |

Most people are here complaining about the dip in crypto and asking when the market is going to recover, yet they are the same people busily dumping all their holdings hard on exchanges. Who should continue holding and stabilize the market for you? Don't be a selfish investor.
Fair point. Some of those who complains about "manipulators", "bears", or "whales" are also panic sellers. I do not think these so called manipulators/bears/whales can bring the market down if we do not panic sellers. |

I participated in the cryptassist ICO a few months ago, and I chose this out of the many projects I could have done the ICO, but still no listing.
This is because of the market, but I strongly believe that if the project is good enough, the team should not be scared of listing
How exactly does the condition of the market affect the listing? Is is because the ICO projects cannot pay for the fee? There are numerous exchanges out there that has low listing fees. |

I am still waiting for the first ICO on Real Estate that I saw to really take off (Real Property Token). I believe the team is working behind the scene and they've released updates recently so that's a good sign.

Maybe a softer or more friendly government regulations is what the market needs right now to fully recover. Bitcoin bakkt and ETF launch may also help.

Great tips. Many made a lot of profits in 2017 and lived like a King thinking the upward trend will continue so they were unable to save some for tough times like this year. Diversify investments into different markets is also a good idea.

I am actually quite impressed with the development of Stellar. The platform is also slowly building a strong community. It may still survive even if bitcoin crashes harder in the future.

Though am not trying to be pessimistic but what if nothing change in 2019, what if the bear market continues unabated, will it be the end or sign of the end for Cryptocurrency because I don't think many will still continue to retain their hope if nothing positive happens at least for the first quarter of 2019.
If the bear market continues in 2019, I do not mind waiting for another year as long as the market stops declining further. If it does, then I may have to take some time off crypto. |

I just read that the main sale has been cancelled since soft cap has not been reached and that investors will be refunded.
Does that mean also that bounty rewards will not be given?

Yeah I've thought about that one also.
The possible scenario is this:
1. Sell all collected coins at a higher price (for example $200/coin).
2. Delay the distribution of refunds and wait for the price to go down.
3. Buy back at a lower price ($100/coin for example).
4. Refund the same amount of coins to investors.

Yes I am still holding altcoins and simply waiting for a recovery. I wish I could add more but I have already exhausted my funds so I am just watching right now.

1. Reduces the interest in the space for short-term focused investors; You speak of short term investors as if it is a negative thing. I do not think it would reduce their interest, it might actually increase given that they can buy again at a cheap price.
2. It also reduces the interest in the space for projects aiming to quickly raise money on hype and never deliver. How is this related to the price of Eth (per USD) dropping? Regardless of price, fraudsters will always find a way. |

If you have capital now it is very good for you to invest. Given the price conditions are declining. Such a situation will benefit you when you sell one day. Why do I think like this, because I'm sure the market conditions or the price of coins will increase again. Yes it is good to accumulate altcoins right now if you have the capital. Personally, I did not expect to see the price of some alts to be this low again since they were launched. Just exercise caution in choosing which one to buy. |

-unless you have a really really really large investment in BTC, BTC won't bring you as much profit as the best alts that have not already been too pumped up will This I definitely agree. The best way to gain profits or increase your BTC is investing in good alts. -if you chose good alts, you have nothing to panic for! If you don't trust you chose good alts, you shouldn't have invested in the firyt place They probably trust the alts they bought. The panic was probably due to them buying alts at a high price with all (or most) their funds. |
