OP, I believe it's better to buy the actual thing/asset, no matter whether you are buying for a months-long trade, or a short-term trade/day-trade, UNLESS you want to trade with leverage, which is probably the only advantage in buying and selling these synthetic stocks/indices.
I tried actively "trading" with both no leverage, and with leverage. What it did was make me lose money.

Am starting to think this hodling process is easier done if you have a small stake to grow, the whales with deep pockets will continously buy and sell coins to realize any small profits at any given opportunity which is the smart way of investing if you ask me... Buying the dip now and throwing the key away to your stash will just bring headaches and should be discouraged, times have changed and we need to adapt with the new game!

Although, isn't China still one of the largest HODLers of United State debt, and U.S. Dollars? Why would they start dumping an asset that they are largely exposed to, and crash the price of that asset? Do they truly want to crash the currency of U.S. economy, the largest importer of their exports?
If rather it's not China trying to dump the dollar they're trying to find a way to save their yuan, avoid letting it drop too deeply, seriously affecting the national economy. Japan and other countries are also planning to find solutions to prevent the devaluation of their national currencies to avoid creating a serious economic crisis in their countries. The dollar is at a 20-year high and this is good for the US but for the countries that are borrowing money from the US, which depend on the US, they are having a hard time repaying the US government and do business with America. The situation in Japan is their central bank's fault, the Bank of Japan. They planned, and purposefully printed trillions, and more TRILLIONS of Yen to buy shares of private companies to save them from failure. The effect which we're seeing is a weaker currency. Because of the Fed's strenghtening of the U.S. Dollar, I believe it will give them some capacity to do the same when the recession has done its worst. The Fed will be "investing", and will be buying shares of failing American companies/banks. The U.S. government will literally OWN a large slice of the U.S. economy. |

I misunderstood China's intentions, but stompix posted a very good point on why China is preparing for a "massive U.S. Dollar dump". It's just to prop up it's own currency, the Yuan.
Perhaps the Fed's tightening to stop, and reverse inflation in the country is having a negative effect from China's point of view. Because through a strong Dollar, and from China's point of view, it might be that inflation is also being exported to them. Haha.
The exchange rate charts don't show any major change though. Because Forex is a more sophisticated animal, and to attack it is to use a different strategy. It isn't like cryptocurrencies that plebs and whales click the maximum amount, then click the market-buy button. Hahaha. Like QT, QE, and BRRR-Money prints it takes time to see the effects.
In any case, if you look at the act alone this conclusion (strengthen their currency) makes sense and it may very well be one of the motivations; but I believe there is a bigger picture here. China is not doing ONLY that, there is a lot of other steps they are taking. Like the ones I listed, and I clearly see a trend.
From the point of view of the United States, China needs to export more products to them to get the U.S. Dollars to replace that that they have dumped. No country can continue to play the macro-economics game without U.S. Dollars. |

Yeah. Realwinner, God and Private user is on different level when the tournament reward is still in Bitcoin. I believe MrBrightside is already competing to them too but not in toe to toe level. He only step up now and increase his wager volume same with Gennady when the old whales is not competing much anymore. I think they will come back again with there regular high wager if the reward will increase again to the old one. The free spin is just luck based and some users doesn’t preferred it as cashback to recover some of there losses. Are you considering the suggestion of doing a special promotion for the users of the Lightning Network? I believe it would be the perfect way of promoting the casino for Betplay, and it will also help the Lightning Network increase in usage.

If it was buying real Bitcoins to HODL, and not trading futures contracts with leverage, then definitely there's nothing to be worried about. It's just the bear part of the market cycle. During the bull part of the cycle, the same people who didn't buy and merely looked at the DIP, WILL wish that they bought the DIP. The market is giving us plebs a gift, another Golden Opportunity.
How about today? Is this the right time to buy? Is it possible that the price of Bitcoin will drop even further so that we can buy at the right price. The bull market has ended, and is now in a bear market. Of course we are difficult to predict when the bear market will end. Pretend you are in 2025, zooming out Bitcoin's chart to the maximum. Good questions and I'm afraid we will have a better answer for them in the future. For now it is worth knowing that China has been slowly pulling out of US economy for months now. A large number of businesses already left US, a lot of Chinese companies pulled out of US stock exchange and investors also pulled their money out. It is also worth knowing that if they go ahead with the plans to bring Taiwan back to China, most probably US is going to do the same they did to Russia which is to sanction them! In which case US will no longer be "largest importer of their exports" and the incentive to baghold USD is no longer there for the Chinese. The Federal Reserve, and all of the other Central Banks around the globe CANNOT tighten forever. The Bank of England "made a hard pivot" to QE to bring forth liquidity to their bond market to save its pension funds from losing money. If they didn't do it, pensions would be LOST. It was been looking good that there is a growing interest in the community. Well, teaching these people is not hard knowing that they will certainly listen and their minds are wide open to understand how this works. It simply won't be done easily, probably not in a single day but I was sure these people who see the potential of Bitcoin will get what it deserves them. As the discussion continue, they find out that those who say it was scam or ponzi are wrong.
Those who initially said it was a scam and ponzi of course they didn't know what bitcoin was and how bitcoin worked because they didn't get any education about bitcoin. When there is a moment like this, where the young people around give some important education about bitcoin, their minds will open and understand how bitcoin works. This makes them more interested in learning about bitcoin and the technology behind it. this is the first step for them to be more advanced and not left behind by the others. It's not a scam, but it can be debated that it started as a "Naturally-Occurring Ponzi" because most of its value is market-driven, but not a "Ponzi" as in there's a centralized entity to "scam" you. Bitcoin is just like Gold. It started to be HODLed, and valued, with a market behind it causing its price to surge, and to sell it higher, someone must enter the system with new money. THEN an economy was built around it through the first dark markets, giving it a "circular economy" and real world value. That's when it stopped being a "Ponzi" in my opinion. |

Nobody really, except maybe a small number of institutions really trade Bitcoin options. They are popular for stocks but in forex or crypto nobody trades them. The liquidity is also bad.
Most just trade the futures or the perps. It gives you lots of leverage and has great liquidity. You should focus on this. Options are usually priced against you and you need to get the direction and time correct to make a profit, very difficult to do.
I believe it's not just the institutions anymore. Plebs like us, perhaps absolutely no one uses it except for the purposes of gambling/trying options, but there might currently be more whales during this cycle that use a more advanced strategy that utilizes options for hedging their long or short positions than the last cycle. It's probably good to learn about options to understand its effect on the market when their expiries are coming. |
