2061  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v4.0 on: November 13, 2016, 03:37:24 PM
He did say today but if only a slight performance it's worth waiting.  Pretty sure it will surpass current offerings.

what's the point of having fees if it is equal or slower than other miners out there?...of course it should be faster
2062  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v4.0 on: November 13, 2016, 12:17:39 AM
It seems I must be here all the time, as soon as I decide to take a break, something interesting happens Smiley
Ok, I did not check this new Linux miner, but it seems it's faster than current version of my miner, at least in Linux.
So in a day I will release faster version.

Frontrunning: November 13
- Why you release faster miner? ? ? ? ? Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes  Now we all must pay more for electricity and we will all mine same coins anyway, so much less profit!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Angry Angry Angry
- Why so high fee? ? ? ? ? ? ?  I think 2.5% is greedy. You already made millions!!! Why you not work for free so I can make millions too?!?!?! You are a thief!!!!!!!!!!!!
- Why no Linux version? ? ? ? ? ? You could make millions with big farms which all use Linux!!!!!!!! LOL!!!!

New invasion in 3... 2... 1...

There is just so much fail in this post. Where is that Star Trek dude Face palm gif

yeah...he is saying claymore is greedy with the fee and he wanted him to make linux miner so he can make more money haha

anyway saying "we will all mine same coins anyway" ... claymore zcash miner is on windows only and there are other competing miners out there...so we will not get the same coins, in a grand scheme of things.

For everyone who is complaining about electricity watch this. This is how power consumption was back during the Litecoin days with Scrypt.

350Watts per 280X at the wall. And you guys are complaing about 100Watts or so. So spoiled kids these days.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUvUmo8dBmU

yeah i remember that, i only plugged 3x 280x on my 1250w psu back then
2063  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: My new XMR+ ETH thread builds info and other stuff thoughts and photos included. on: November 12, 2016, 07:25:28 AM
big boost with claymore 4.0

7 cards = 395mh or about 56.5 H/s

<snipped>

Spent all night migrating entire farm to v4.... staggering results.... the farm now is nearly 6 KH/s -- it could have been more but I have retained the BIOS mods for 480s and Nanos since they perform maximum hash / power ETH mining on Claymore v7.3, to enable switching back to ETH at any time. I have disabled all CPU mining to support Claymore's CPU cycles required to drive the GPUs on v4 codes.

What sorcery this Claymore miner, 480s mid-80s, Nanos mid 70s and 290/290x mid 70s H/s and 390s mid 80s H/s -- worth the dev fees

Silentarmy seems to be getting competative figures now, I'll be testing that out on a couple rigs today.
I don't understand why Claymore is so insistant on pushing Windows and ignoring LINUX, I suspect that more mining rigs run LINUX than run WIndows.

im sure it has to do with the whole code stealing thing.... which imo is dumb its an open source product... granted he should have got credit but i think it went to far.. to blast it all over for everyone to see so you can boost your own ego saying im better than claymore is a little childish...

the game is now on! silent army matches Claymore now..

i think this is how it works with Claymore, he is in business with "the fees" if only his miner has some % faster than other miner/s. it's like if you are earning 50$ a day from mining from free miners, you will earn 55$ using his miner but with fees.

regarding the code stealing issue (my speculation), maybe he is focusing in making those miner devs that focus especially in linux miners to pay for the humiliation by dragging miners to windows and use his miner (his home court advantage maybe).

taking Claymore down is taking a bunch of miners like us down too, leaving us with under-performing miner.

well played, but we can see through that  Tongue

2066  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v3.1 on: November 10, 2016, 02:22:21 PM
In a couple of hours I'll release next update, up to 100H/s on stock 390/390X.

damn you are making me sleep late again lol..

YEEEAAAHH!!

2067  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v3.1 on: November 10, 2016, 02:52:24 AM
The cloud miners got screwed. People are BEGGING for refunds and some people are even THREATENING to sue under some "Buyers remorse" law.

Its nuts. Some dude paid 50 BTC for only 500Sol/s or so.

i didn't buy mining contract because..

1st i got gpus
2nd there are miner developers out there
3rd i have a gut feeling claymore will make a kickass miner  Cool

v3 is epic! 66Sol/s on RX 480  Shocked
Which one exactly? Which BIOS?

Getting ~58MH/s with my Sapphire RX480 Nitro+ 4GB, great job!

damn i've seen my 480 hit 67 h/s, stock bios with overclocks ...but mostly at more or less 60 h/s

I have Brand new 5 Sapphire Nitro+ Rx 480 8GB OC and all are getting 40 to 43 h/s max  Sad Sad

can you please tell what setting you done for 67 h/s hit?

Thanks in advance

mine is HIS RX 480 Roaring OC, samsung rams, stock bios, -i 2

1320 core
2200 memory

power limit 50

We just broke 100,000$ marketcap.

yeah dashcoin is doing well in Cryptopia ... but it seems there are too few coins are being traded there, millions had been mined...where did they all go? LOL .. i hope those coins are in many strong hands now.

it was pretty retarding for DSH, being only traded at poloniex for XMR only back then.. even at 600 satoshi it has already doubled its value from poloniex long standing ~ 300 satoshi valuation.

v3.0:

- improved speed by 20-30% (depends on card model). Up to 80H/s on stock 390X on "-i 2" mode.

PS. For those haters who think that I'm a thief and steal someone's code: don't use my miners, my efforts are not for you!

YEAH!  Cool

280x    55-60 h/s
390      74-80 h/s
290x    75-81 h/s
rx 480  59-61.x h/s
fury      up to 86.x h/s

rx 480 seems to beat 280x now..
2072  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v2.1 on: November 09, 2016, 01:06:07 PM
i have a 480 mixed with 280x's..doing 50h/s

while my 2x 480 rig, the 480's are only hitting 46-48h/s, caught the other card doing 35h/s (miner restart fixed it back to 46-48h/s), it seems i should loop this rig miner at 8 hour intervals..miner restart fixes "GPU returned incorrect data!" too

GPU returned incorrect data!4baf923

restarting the miner fixes this problem for me, it seems i have to put claymore miner in loops too lol .. although for much longer period like 5 hours maybe...will observe further.
2074  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v2.1 on: November 08, 2016, 08:21:41 AM
one of my 280x rig won't start mining with "-i 2", just 0 h/s and on and on .. "-i 0" and "-i 1" works

found the culprit, the 280x rig that won't do "-i 2"

the cpu utilization is at 70% already at -i 1

funny, the older cpu in other rigs, xeon x3220 (same as q6600) can do "-i 2" at ~ 50% cpu utilization.

this 2.1 version does takes its toll in cpu's

Damn Semprons, should of got some FX instead during the Litecoin boom

you should find cheap and second hand AMD cpu's that are at least better than my core 2 quads.
2075  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][DASH] Dash (dash.org) | First Self-Funding Self-Governing Crypto Currency on: November 08, 2016, 06:46:19 AM

Where are sHITBREAKER and Co.? Team Monero? I need to read some zero-sum negativity about dash. Maybe they are on the Zcash forums. Can anyone confirm?

yup i'm into zcash too because this shitcoin has no privacy..i didn't even get a good response about this..

4) Most important, those who use PrivateSend have nothing to worry about, because the financial privacy it offers is pretty much ironclad. ICEBREAKER has been trying to crack a 4-round PrivateSend transaction that I posted nearly a year ago and still can't do it.

tl;dr Use PrivateSend, and we can't control what private companies do in any event.

- they will know you are mixing because prior to mixing they can watch your coins, and say "oh it became obfuscated therefore it was mixed"..

- and they also know that your coins came from wallet mixing because it wasn't generated by mining pools and POS masternodes...

that's a huge security hole for your privacy  Tongue

So I know that normally we aren't supposed to quote trolls, but I think these are two relatively valid points that can be easily addressed for any non-trolls that might be interested.

1) Yes, anybody who watches the blockchain will know that coins have been mixed. That's one of the core design elements of Dash--the ability to mix coins. That's like saying "They will know that a Monero user is trying to obfuscate their spending because they're using Monero." That's not really a secret. PrivateSend makes it so that they can't trace a transaction back to its source address. Nobody cares if you've mixed your coins. We all mix our coins. So what?

2) Yes, that one is also self-evident. It's right there in the blockchain. So what that those funds came from mixing? You can't trace a tx back to its source wallet, and there's your financial privacy.

It's sort of like saying "Ohhhhh...his phone is locked! He is trying to protect his privacy!"...granted...but everybody locks their phones. Unless you can bypass the lock, you don't know what's on the phone.

okay..lets expand a little

so the remaining privacy for dash is "tracing proof" but not block chain analysis

your analogy:
Quote
It's sort of like saying "Ohhhhh...his phone is locked! He is trying to protect his privacy!"...granted...but everybody locks their phones. Unless you can bypass the lock, you don't know what's on the phone

they know what's on your phone (call logs and dates), they just can't trace whose your calling to.

2078  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Putting together a mining and gaming rig - seeking advice on: November 07, 2016, 03:31:47 AM
I do have extensive PC hardware knowledge up until 2012 ish and can troubleshoot with the best of them. I simply do not have the PC hardware knowledge as it relates to today's mining.

some of my mining rigs

core 2 quad, p35 motherboard, 4gb ddr2 ram, 80gb hdd .... you can trace this PC hardware backwards up to 2007-2008 ... you are good to go  Wink

that rig is less than 100$ (power supply and graphics card not included)

regarding spacing, depends on the climate where you are living, ventilation and space...it is subjective so it is best to experiment and test for yourself.

i didn't use cases...some rigs here are screwed and zip tied to the wall LOL

when time comes, genoil will become better and compete with claymore and others...charge some fees too when your miners are starting to kick ass.
