2081  Economy / Economics / Re: USA dollar and USA economy are Not Same on: June 28, 2022, 07:24:53 AM
This way we all together can help save the USA dollar.
I Don't mind to cut my spendings if I can help to save the dollar as Long as I have
Usdc stable currency.
Or usdt coin.

Why do we need to save the USD so desperately? To me it doesn't seem that the USD is in trouble, actually the US Dollar is quite strong at the moment. The Dollar is close to it's ATH against the Euro, and with the rising inflation around the world the FED is more aggressive to raise interest rate to try and contain the inflation. This will create more upwards pressure on the US Dollar. If we now also start buying USD then the price will go up even higher which is bad in my opinion. A country usually wants a weak currency than a strong currency to make their exports cheaper. With a lower value of the currency the country can export more for the same price internationally which will increase economic growth at home. Stable coins are of course profiting from a strong US Dollar, but their upside is always limited to one Dollar.
2082  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Most of us have lived a world of USD dominance, but history changes on: June 28, 2022, 06:48:24 AM
Those are the latest 3 world currencies. We're about to enter the fourth one, Bitcoin.

It will take some time, but it will happen.

Right now it is a bit hard to imagine Bitcoins becoming the next world currency because the world is so divided and I am not sure if there would be a consensus all around the world to accept Bitcoins as the new world currency. There are two important aspects for a world currency that might be hard for Bitcoins to achieve. The first one is easier and could happen in a few years, it means that the world currency needs to be accepted all around the world by merchants and people to exchange for goods. For example, if we go to a small store in Africa, or Asia and want to buy some snacks than they need to accept Bitcoins as a form of payment. The only problem is if too many countries ban the use of Bitcoins it will be difficult. The second issue is that countries globally start using Bitcoin as currency to settle trade. All the major commodities would need to be quoted in Bitcoin price rather than USD for it to become the new world currency.
2083  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What Type of Gambler Am I? on: June 27, 2022, 02:43:03 PM
Interesting survey we have here, what is a big of a surprise to me is that most people seem to social gamblers. I would have said that about myself before the corona pandemic. But after 2 years of lockdowns and social distancing I haven't seen the inside of a casino for a long time. Enjoying gambling with friends together while having a few drinks was the highlight of casino trips, but now I got used to online gambling more. The only sad thing is that online gambling is done alone and not with others. Sometimes I play the same poker tournaments with friends but we rarely sit at the same table. It would be cool if online casinos where more socially friendly than just a chat box. Having avatars and voice channels would be a nice first step.
2084  Economy / Economics / Re: How would a global economic recession affect Bitcoin's price? on: June 27, 2022, 02:20:51 PM

What are your thoughts? Huh

The fear of an economic slowdown is what send all the risky assets crashing down this year, crypto currencies are part of these assets. A recession now would make exeything worse because economies would contract, leaving the consumers struggling even more. One the one side we have rising inflation which makes living expenses rise and on the other side we have worse outlooks for the  future. I would expect asset prices to drop future as investors are heading for save investment. The problem is that safe investment don't work during high inflation times, their return is not enough to cover the rise in prices. That's why I think we will see more demand crypto currencies the higher inflation rises. The independence of crypto currencies is what makes them protect us against inflation and losing value in fiat money.
2085  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Did Bitcoin Disappointed You ? on: June 27, 2022, 08:18:41 AM
Once bitcoin was at 69,000$, who would have thought that bitcoin will go so low so fast ?  Now what do think, where we are in terms of bitcoin cycle. I think we are already in th bear market since summer of last year and maybe the bottom/ end of bear market is near ?

Unfortunately yes we are in the bear market now. The drop of Bitcoins from 30,000 USD to below 18,000 USD happened very fast and came as a surprise to me. Somehow I hoped that there was more support for the bitcoin price. The recent drop created a lot of panic in the market and forced some people to sell without thinking much. I believe that some investors are now waking up and seeing that Bitcoin didn't drop down to 10,000 USD and feel bad about selling. Hopefully the worst is over now and we are not seeing further declines. Personally I am not disappointed by crypto currencies. When buying bitcoins and other cryptos I was aware that the prices will not rise steadily. We all know by now that crypto currencies as most other asset classes move on cycle. After the current bear cycle we will have a new bill cycle. It's all about the long term trend and that is still positive. At the end of the year I expect much higher prices again.
2086  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Length of Time Before You Learn All These Gambling Terms Or Jargons on: June 27, 2022, 06:50:42 AM
When you're starting out as a gambler there are terms and jargon that have to be explained to you or you have to research for you to understand its meaning and how it applies to gambling.

In your experience how long or the Length of Time Before You Learn All These Gambling Terms Or Jargon like wage, seed, provably fair, martingale, and so on.

It's hard to put a label on that because everything is connected in life. As I kid I already was very interested in casinos and watched many movies about it. There so many different older movies that show the life of a gambler and use all the casino language. As a big poker fan Rounders is a must watch. Also Casino and 21 are great movies. I always prefer to watch movies in their original language with subtitles than on my own language. Like that you get exposed to the casino language and jargon.
In high school I already had majors in mathematics and economics which introduced me to words like martingale, we also had some course later about gambling and Black Jack strategy to get used to probabilities. Like that I already got used to gambling languages and strategies without ever being in a casino. And then of course spending a vacation in Las Vegas or Macau can also teach a lot about the casino language.
2087  Economy / Gambling / Re: The most rewarding referral system on: June 26, 2022, 07:36:33 PM
The most rewarding refferal system is the one where you bring a lot of active gamblers to a casino. If you can guarantee a large reach on social media than I would not settle for the generic referral systems casinos offers. These systems are usually in place to bring in a few of your buddies who want to try out gambling. If you generate a lot of traffic through solid content that you should contact the casino directly. Show them your large twitter or Instagram followers, or in case you get a lot of views on your YouTube videos it's also a good way to show your potential. Once the casino sees that you can bring in a lot of new clients they will offer you a much better deal. And like this there might be even the chance for some more cooperations.
2088  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China warns Bitcoin is heading to zero on: June 26, 2022, 06:17:42 PM
Official Chinese national news media outlet warns readers that Bitcoin could go to zero value in order to dissuade them from investing in and using cryptocurrency.

Ah yes, the Chinese government trying to bash Bitcoins. Nothing new in the last few years. Who wouldn't listen for their personal financial decision on the Chinese government :-) they are for sure concerned about the average saver who is looking for a way to achieve financial freedom. I am sorry, but I am not listening to anything regarding finances that comes from a country that controls their currency and doesn't let it trade freely on the market. To me it sounds like China has it's own agenda and would like for investors to buy their digital currency. I will stick with bitcoins and happily will buy more if the price drops lower again.
2089  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Have you Considered a Career in Betting Consultancy? on: June 26, 2022, 07:58:00 AM

Just like Tony Bloom and others, it is possible that you can turn your hobby into a profitable business venture if you are confident of your skillsets. Have you ever considered a career in betting consultancy?

I wasn't aware that there are special consultants for the gambling industry. In the past I heard that marketing professionals are doing some constant work for new casinos. Especially in the early stages of a new casino launch they usually can't afford their own marketing department yet and outsource that job. Engaging consultants is a good idea as long as they generate new value and business ideas for the company. A few of my friends worked in consultancy in the past and weren't really happy with their job. It involved a lot of travelling and overtime. But given all the popularity of online casinos these days I would expect the consultants to work from home. Sounds very interesting as new profession and could help people who are looking for a career change. Right now I don't really want to change jobs again, but maybe in the future.
2090  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Advice for poor people who wanna get some crypto on: June 26, 2022, 07:18:12 AM
Right now is a good time to get your hands on some crypto currencies in my opinion. If you are struggling with the rising energy and good prices I understand that there is no money left at the end of the month. But this doesn't mean that there are other ways to earn cryptos online. One way could be signature campaigns here on the forum or doing faucets, which is very limited in the amount of coins you can aquire short term. What has helped me in the past was selling old things I didn't need anymore online for crypto coins. For example, if you have an old gaming account that you don't use anymore you could try to sell it. Especially if there are many games with it there can be collectors who are looking for it. Same goes for an old PS3 or 4 with many games and controllers, there are people who will buy it for cryptos. Or maybe an old cell phone or some furniture you have been storing for years in the basement. Selling old things can help clean up the house and generate some crypto income.
2091  Economy / Economics / Re: You win or you learn. on: June 26, 2022, 07:08:22 AM
Robert Kiyosaki is an awesome motivational speaker, he really can motivate people to learn more about money management and investing. Rich Dad, Poor Dad is a must read for everybody who wants to manage his own finances. He recommends to all of us to invest in ourselves and our future. In high-school or university we don't learn about money management, we have to do it in our own time. If you like his books I also recommend you check out his YouTube channel. He is doing 1 hour news shows where he talks about current issues and also invites famous guests to speak about investing. In his last show they spoke again how unprepared students are after graduating. Most of them having 100-250k USD in student loans and not being able to manage their first earned money. Universities are not preparing students for life.
2092  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Government Owned Online Casinos What Do You Think Of Its Potential on: June 26, 2022, 07:01:41 AM

Will they get enough support, will they get a huge slice of the market that is ruled by companies, they have the funds and they have the reputation because they are government who are more established and will be more compliant

That's a tricky question, usually I would say that politicians are bad entrepreneurs and should let professionals run the casinos. But we are in difficult times at the moment with covid pandemic and the slow down of economic growth. We need to look at it in more detail and see what advantages state run casinos offer and what disadvantages. First of all will state run casinos pay the same taxes as all the other casinos, or are there any tax benefits? It would be unfair for the old casinos because the government casinos can return more money to the gamblers. But if the casinos are just the same as the existing casinos will they bring anything new to the table? If not than I am not sure if there will be a lot of new gamblers come. Maybe instead of running their own casinos the government could financial support for the existing casinos in form of a silent partner. Like that the casinos don't go bankrupt and professionals keep running them.

2093  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: June 25, 2022, 06:55:33 AM
There some nice CSGO matches coming up this weekend as part of the European Roobet Cup 2022. The first place is getting 150k USD, it will be very competitive. Today the most exciting match should be Eternal Fire vs Imperial, they both lost their first match so far and need to win today. I will go with Imperial for the match, even though they are underdogs I think the Brazilians still have a great team and should manage to pull through. Astralis is playing against Complexity tomorrow, should be an easy win for Astralis. What is more surprising is that BIG actually managed to win against FaZe and is first in the group. Also tomorrow FaZe will play against the winner of OG vs Entropiq from today. Should be an easy win for FaZe, they already beat OG 2-0 this week and they will likely win against Entropiq today.
2094  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Can you trust a gambler with your money/savings? on: June 25, 2022, 06:33:21 AM

Questions for discussion
- Are gamblers eligible to hold financial positions?
- Do problem gamblers deserve a second chance to hold a financial position?

Yes of course gamblers are eligible to hold financial positions. What is wrong with the world these days, the stigma that all gamblers are unable to control finances is wrong. A good gambler is actually better at managing money and keeping emotions out of finances than a person who isn't gambling. When gambling in a casino we need to look at risk and reward very quickly and adjust our betting based on our bankroll. It seems that many people have a bias against gamblers without really knowing more about it. It's not like every gambler is going lose all the money he has and becomes a thief.
What do you mean with second chance? Just because by gambling we already lost our first chance to hold any financial positions? That is so wrong in my opinion. Sure there are some people who are struggling with gambling addiction and have trouble controlling their finances. But that is only a small group out of all gamblers and not the majority. It's like looking at someone who drinks a beer as if they are alcoholics. Or looking at someone who is smoking as if he is addicted to smoking and can't control himself. If someone steals money from his work it might be because he is a thief and not a gambler in the first place. Many of the big scam scandals are from people who are not gamblers. I don't think there is a correlation between gamblers stealing more money from work than other people.
2095  Economy / Economics / Re: if you think 18k btc is low wait until autumn ... on: June 25, 2022, 06:12:10 AM
if you think 18k btc is low wait until autumn ...

I think it will reach 500-1000 USD max as you can't use to sell stuff and big whales already moved their money ...

In 2019 btc was already 9000-10000 USD , do to pandemic people invested a lot  in btc.

No way Bitcoins are dropping so low again this year. After dropping below 18k USD we already saw a bounce back above 20k USD. So there are still buyers in the market looking to buy cheap coins. How do you come up with that number of only 500 USD for one Bitcoin? Sure in 2019 bitcoin dropped very low in price even around the 3k USD mark, but since then a lot has changed. We reached new ATHs of above 60k USD last year. Investors can't just forget those prices again. In case the price ever drops below 10k USD I am sure there will be a lot of buyers coming to the market again bring the price back up. Just imagine all the whales who sold their coins around the 30,000 USD level. For them it would be a bargain to buy Bitcoins again for 1/3 of the price.
2096  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Grocery Stores In U.S Set To Install Bitcoin ATM on: June 25, 2022, 06:02:19 AM

New Bitcoin ATMs are set to be installed in 59 Latino grocery stores around the United States.

Why are they only being installed in Latino grocery stores? It would be nice if all supermarkets get crypto ATMs. I am not so familiar with the landscape of American grocery shopping, but aren't supermarkets for everybody? In my country there isn't really a difference in customers by groups. Would be nice to know if Latinos on average are using crypto currencies more often than the rest of the population for shopping. I expect there to be no real difference between people from Europe, Asia or Latin America. Crypto investors are all around the world and using ATM comes down to if they are actually needed. In my country so far I haven't seen any Bitcoin ATMs, would be nice to have some here at least. Once they start coming to supermarkets I would use them a few times to check them out and see how high the fees are. If it's cheaper than my bank fees I would switch to cryptos to pay for my groceries.
2097  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Think Its One Too Many on: June 25, 2022, 05:40:21 AM
I think most people only start to take notice, when they "Google" a casino and scam accusations popup everywhere. The people already registered with the casino will probably not "Google" it, so they might never find out about it.

I think there are a general perception from most people that the complainants are "butthurt" gamblers that wants to find a way to lash out against the casinos, so they do not even bother reading the details.  Roll Eyes

I will read the detail, when I see a lot of evidence posted in the scam accusation section or a post on another platform.  Wink

That is a valid point I haven't thought about before. For the older casinos I expect the customers to be mostly regular gamblers who have been on the website for at least several month, maybe even years. After gambling regular at a casinos I never checked again if there are any new scam accusations. Somehow I believe that if a casino buildup a good reputation over several years they would never risk it just to scam one or two people. There are of course new posts from time to time here on the forum accusing casinos of scamming which I read. But most of the time the threads are from new members with no track record, so I don't believe them. If it was a hero or legendary member who is also documentating his case then things are a little different. I probably would reduce my gambling on the particular casino and wait for the issue to be resolved.
2098  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Who’s itching to buy? on: June 25, 2022, 05:20:54 AM
I am definitely itching to buy more coins. Unfortunately my spare money is very limited this year. In the second half of this year we are renovating the roof of our house and I need to help my parents pay the bills, on top of that I am still repaying a loan. I wish I could invest 10% of my salary in cryptos each month. Last week I managed to buy 500 USD worth of Bitcoins at the 19,000 level. Right now markets are up again and it becomes hard to predict if prices will fall heavily adain. Some big investors say it's the beginning of the recovery and others are saying things will get much worse later this year. To me it doesn't really matter, buying now seems cheap. And even if prices will fall more, eventually they will rise again. Buying from the top 100 alt coins seems like a good trade that will make money long term.
2099  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Age of bitcoiners on: June 22, 2022, 07:04:12 AM
Looks like the golden age for bitcoin is in the age group 30-45, glad to be in that group myself. It makes sense in my opinion to be interested in crypto currencies at that age. It's the age were we worked for several years already, paid back our student loans and finally can afford to save and invest some money. During the years before we might be interested in trading but don't have the capital to be really successful, and at an older age we have a lot of more expenses to worry about and the free money will be spend more on family. What I also noticed when talking to my niece and nephew is that they are not so concerned anymore about financial independence. Maybe it for us the time we lived through the big financial crisis in 2008 that we want more freedom and be independent from the government.
2100  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would you bet on transgender only events? on: June 22, 2022, 06:50:50 AM
I think it will just be a matter of time before other sports organization will follow after them. Will there be a good market for this? I don't know but bookies will probably open a different line for the events exclusive for them. Would you bet if they do?

To be honest it is ridiculous who let men who identify now as a woman compete against biological woman. I am glad the world is waking up now and fixing this. If there was a nationwide if trans sport people should be included in female sport or not, I am sure there wouldn't be a 50% majority. Another thing is also, why are there no woman who want to be men and compete in men sports? Because they would have no chance, so why allow it the other way round?
Now if there will be trans leagues coming up and showing their sport events, I don't expect many viewers for it. Just by looking at the difference between male and female sports we see that most people are just not interested in female sports. Why would they now start watching trans sports. Also are there even enough trans athletes to compete against each other? If there are no real tournaments or competition that there will also be no betting market for it. Personally I am not going to bet on it.
