I will not advice you to use many of the BIP39 wallets because they are close source,

Bip39 wallets are not closed source.  This is inaccurate.  "BIP" stand for Bitcoin Improvement Project" and all BIPs are very much open source.

The simple explanation of A "Bip39 wallet" is that it's wallet backed up by a seed phrase that was generated from a specific (open source) word list.  Many wallet clients will allow you to import a Bip39 wallet.  Many of those wallet clients are also open source.

0.0015BTC is fine with me, that's reasonable amount to lose, lol.  I don't mind providing escrow if there are no objections, happy to help.

Live drafts are always fun, but I know we're scattered across the globe so it might not be practical.  If we were to take a vote I'll vote for a live draft.

For those interested PM for the invite link.

Thanks for taking the initiative.  That saves at least half a page of us trying to out-polite each other.  Count me in, unless nutildah says otherwise.  Cheesy  Wink

I selected the Non-PPR scoring as that seemed to be a point of contention for some possible participants one year ago

I'm good either way.  As long as people understand the difference it all the same to me.

I'm also pretty open for what people want to do for a prize, or not.

I'm fine playing for fun, but a small pool would add a little bit of excitement.
2125  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🚀 Sportsbet.io - Welcome back to the Premier League- Watford FC!! 🚀 on: June 06, 2021, 01:47:24 PM
Anyone noticed that Sportsbet started with new Free 6-6 promotion for Euro and we can we can get up to $100,000 in Bitcoin if we correctly predict outcome for six matches of round 1?

I noticed that yesterday, pretty cool promo.  I put in my predictions, of course.  Sportsbet also have a 4/3 promo with free predictions.  If you get all 4 predictions right you get a $50 free bet, if you get 3 of 4 correct you get a $10 free bet.  Yesterday's predictions were for the Formula 1 races this morning, today's promo is to predict the results of the France vs. Bulgaria match.  It's not $100k, but still cool.

You're question has nothing to do with bitcoin, it's simple math.  1 is 1.  It's fixed at 1, no matter how many times you divide it, it's still 1.  1 doesn't' become worth more when you divide it, the value of the sum of it's denominations is is still 1.

It looks like he was going to, but then he deleted the post, along with all the other posts he made.  This morning I got the ninja-notice below, but the post was deleted before I checked the forum.  Maybe he figured to let sleeping dogs lie.

@danpotts91: Just for the record, the first two pages of this thread make it pretty obvious you were involved in a scam project.  If your involvement was merely incidental to the scam itself, then please explain yourself.  If I am proven wrong, I'll retract my statement and issue a public apology for calling you a scammer.

I'm down for a fantasy league this year, count me in.

Yeah, pre-season is just a couple of months away, but it still seems like an eternity.  Lucky for me I do appreciate soccer.  Right after the NFL is over the English Premier League is in the final third of it's season, then America's MLS starts before the EPL ends.  It's not the same at all, though.  Football is literally an addiction for me.  I suffer withdrawals and depression when the season ends.  No joke.

I'll leave you with this:

Quote from: Steve Sabol
The Autumn Wind is a pirate.
Blustering in from sea,
With a rollicking song, he sweeps along,
Swaggering boisterously.

His face is weather beaten.
He wears a hooded sash,
With a silver hat about his head,
And a bristling black mustache.

He growls as he storms the country,
A villain big and bold.
And the trees all shake and quiver and quake,
As he robs them of their gold.

The Autumn Wind is a Raider,
Pillaging just for fun.
He'll knock you 'round and upside down,
And laugh when he's conquered and won.

The Q2 results are in for the Catalan MotoGP, the starting grid is set.  Here're the top 5:

Jack Miller took advantage of his Q1 promotion to take the second position on the grid.  He's looking stronger and stronger as the season goes on.  I think he really has a chance to challenge Quartararo for the championship.  It would be cool to see an Aussie take the championship.

Rossi had good results from the free practices, earning himself a spot on Q2, he finished 11th.  He'd have a tough row to hoe if he's going to challenge for the championship, but I'd love nothing more than to see him create drama towards the end of the season.

I've just been asking to be removed from any reference to the coin.

So, your trying to remove any reference to your participation in previous scams so your future scams don't suffer bad PR before they can start scamming.  You probably thought that was a very clever idea when you first had it.  What happened instead is you just informed everyone on the forum that Dan Potts is a scammer.

Thanks for the warning, before this thread was bumped I has no clue who Dan Potts was.

It is a bioweapon just like the US general said.

Generals are paid to be paranoid.  It's their job.
Doctors are paid to heal, and they should stick to it.
Scientists should be paid to research facts, but ours are paid to arrive at politicized conclusions.
Politicians are obligated to minimize the impact, yet it appears they attempted to do the opposite.
The media was supposed to tell us the truth, but instead festered a vendetta.

These are only a few of the things that got us here.  If that was the plan, imagine trying to convince your coconspirators that it could happen.  No really, it could happen.

The orders-of-magnitude growth we imagine requires a mix of custodial, off-chain, and second layer solutions that allow people to ‘get off of 0.’

Based on those words alone I can tell you right now, I'm not a fan.  I reckon I'm not the target demographic, however, and that's not necessarily a bad thing.  If the focus security and ease-of-use, and it's offered by a trustworthy established company then I can see it attracting more people to crypto.  And that is specifically a good thing.

Also, such wallets will force existing companies to develop their systems rather than accepting more altcoins.

I'm not sure about that.  Hal Finny once wrote (here on the forum) that he believed Bitcoin will become the backing currency for several independent currencies.  I have a feeling he's right.  As more and more companies start acknowledging the benefits of bitcoin, they'll see their are also benefits to having their own custom currencies.  I suspect that some day Amazon gift-cards will give way to Amazon Alt-Coin.   Any retailers or bank can start offering incentives to using their custom cryptocurrency.  In fact, I'd be surprised if the credit-card issuers like Visa and MasterCard aren't already working on such a thing.  If they're not, they're being short-sighted.

Unless bitcoin's fee volatility becomes more stable and more affordable when mempool is busy, I suspect Hal's prediction is more likely than not.
2136  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer.com - Bitcoin mixer / Bitcoin tumbler - mixing reinvented on: June 04, 2021, 08:22:15 PM
Thanks. Like a bonehead, I included my session token in my support ticket. Hoping it's an honest crew over there.

Don't be so hard on yourself, but yeah that was a boneheaded move.  The funding address would likely have sufficed.  I always got the impression that ChipMixer is a one-man operation, I could be wrong.  If so, then it really doesn't matter since the owner must have full access to the wallet anyway.  Regardless, their reputation is impeccable, so I imagine you'll be fine.

Do us a favor, and please let us know when your issue is resolved.

There was another overnight!!! I registered to report it, but I'm too new and don't see the report button yet.

That's weird, I wasn't aware of that limitation.  It must only apply to "Brand New" accounts.  I have a newbie account I use on unsecured devices to read the forum, and I'm able to report posts from that account.  Now that you've made a post and upgraded to "newbie," you should be able to use the report link.

SHUT UP SPORTSBET SHILL ACCOUNT WITH BOUGHT DT STATUS
WE SAW MANY CASES WITH EVIDENCE WHERE SPORTSBET.IO STOLE THE FUNDS AND ALL DT MEMBERS DEFEND THIS SCAM

I've been here for over three years and I've seen nothing of the sort.  Not a signal shred of evidence suggesting sportsbet.io is scamming people.  They have addressed complaints professionally and transparently.  So please, present some evidence if you can.  Lame responses in bold caps won't convince rational people.
2139  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Marketplace (Altcoins) / Re: Buy USDT with USD in USA on: June 04, 2021, 02:12:51 AM
Not from any bank that I know of.  You can buy a lot of different coins, including USDT from Binance.US, Coinbase and Coinbase Pro, and Bitstamp.  All three outfits allow you transfer USD from your bank using ACH and wire transfers.
