2281  Economy / Economics / Re: Can current sanctions Ruble inflation stop Russia? on: March 07, 2022, 09:42:17 PM
You can handle the energy shortages one way or another. You can find other providers, you can even end up not putting any type of energy into big energy stuff that are currently luxury and just focus on main needs to drop your need. So forth and so forth, definitely not ideal but not impossible to do neither. At the end of the day without money you can't do anything, so Russia is in a bigger danger right now. Doesn't mean that the world is all sunshines and rainbows for West neither, but it is "not as bad" to say the very least. Thats a big difference to say. Which is why I believe that Russia will do worse in the long run if they do not stop.
That’s true. I have seen people say all kinds of things about Putin being prepared for whatever is to come and the possibility of them being able to survive the inflation and the world turning back on them and the sanctioning. It just seems pretty funny to me as to how some people feel that they would be able to easily survive all that, it’s not easy.

How prepared are they, while their economy is already falling and their currency has lost too much value within a very short time? And this is just like the start of it, if they should keep going further into this, we know very well that this very much going to affect them more than what it has done right now.

Don't forget that China is not joining the sanctions over Russia.
This may be one wild card that Russia is holding onto.
Just think that China is one huge country and basically, most of our things come from or made from China.
Certainly, Russia will suffer from this war. They can survive but they will have limited engagements in the global trade.
This is if they will not stop this war and continue the aggression to the worst possible scenario.
But don't know if Ukraine will agree with the 4 conditions of Russia to stop temporarily this "demilitarization."

https://www.reuters.com/world/kremlin-says-russian-military-action-will-stop-moment-if-ukraine-meets-2022-03-07/
1. Ukraine cease military action
2. Change its constitution to enshrine neutrality
3. Acknowledge Crimea as Russian territory
4, Recognise the separatist republics of Donetsk and Lugansk as independent states
2282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The Impact of Ukrain Bitcoin Donation and Support. on: March 07, 2022, 09:19:50 PM
The request for help in Ukraine through donations in bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies in my opinion was the best.
We know that the money can be received immediately in this way and thus relieve a nation that is fighting to safeguard life and liberty. Because every minute counts, the effects of war leave many scars, many Web3 application developers working remotely from Ukraine are leaving their computers to use a rifle to defend themselves against the enemy.
Bitcoin was created to respond to the most vulnerable population.

And for those senders, they don't need to compromise their identities as they can send crypto anonymously.
Fast transaction, small fees, no 3rd party intervention are just few benefits of sending crypto to this war-torn country.
Now, people across the globe are seeing that crypto has valuable role during this time of conflict.
First, they saw it in Canada trucker's protest, where crypto was poured in also as donations.
And next, this Ukrainian war crisis. People are now recognizing the importance of crypto, and thus, it will indeed drive adoption.
No racism, no discrimination when it comes to crypto. All races are equal in this market.
And I am proud that crypto is having an important role to aid these people during their battle of life.
2283  Economy / Gambling / Re: 🎲BetFury.io|✍️Signature Campaign|🎰NEW native Slot🔋Rakeback+Recharge bonuses on: March 07, 2022, 08:51:07 PM

Some exchanges don't allow gambling funds but there is no issue with the binance.

You can send coins from the binance exchange to BetFury.io and similarly you can withdraw the coins to the Binance exchange. If you still have doubt you can read the discussion Sending BTC from Gambling Site to Binance?

I have deposit funds coming from Binance to Betfury but have not tried Betfury to Binance I have second thought doing that because of what happened the last time I withdraw from one casino to one local exchange it did not went through and got a notification that they are not accepting funds from gambling and you must state it first before making a deposit, maybe one of this day I will try doing that Betfury to Binance, after reading that discussion.

Better to be safe than experienced some delays, though it's good to know that there's discussion regarding to this as we can use it as reference once we decided to send our funds between binance and betfury. It's cool since binance have p2p where you can easily cash out your funds directly to your chosen process.

If you also have some time, once you transact it's also nice to share your experienced here.

Just want to share my experience that betfury to binance will not incur any problem.
Though maybe, I am just a small timer and just sending small amount of BTC.
Because it is very convenient now that they have BSC chain even in BTC, so the transaction fee is very small.
So far, sending from betfury to binance, other than BTC, has no problem whatsoever.
The advantage of sending it to binance is that they have BNB Chain as an option because they are the BNB.  Wink
2284  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What will be the next big industry move? on: March 07, 2022, 08:26:25 PM
The pandemic has had a huge impact not only on gambling, but on everything that can be done online. It is very likely that COVID will cause a snowball effect that will make a large part of our lives move to the virtual world. I think the next step in the gambling industry will be the tremendous growth of the casinos in the metaverse.

Metaverse is indeed the next big attraction in gambling, in my opinion also.
But as we sit right now, it is in the early stage in this industry.
But with pandemic and the aim of limited exposure outside, people will go to the virtual world for entertainment.
So yes, we may be seeing this kind of experience starting this year.
A lot of gaming platforms are already using the metaverse concept, so gambling is not hard to reach by this application.
2285  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: Announcing Burnly, POB based blockchain - first code released on github on: March 07, 2022, 07:49:31 PM
Looks intresting...
You mentioned that it can be mined? can you point me to where to do it?

I have started working on the testnet and all code will be released into this core repo

https://github.com/burn-ly/go-burn

It should have a basic wallet, complete node and a CPU miner for x64/arm architecture (for raspberry pi) to begin with. In all honesty, its way too early. Want this to be community-driven project which I can lead and direct. I will post some tech architecture and will invite reviews once I have more interested developers.

For that, I am hiring (volunteers) for golang, react/ts/node (for website) and rust/c/c++ for Algos - please reach out if you wish to contribute and we can setup some time

I am assuming that your project right now is running solo, is that correct?
What is actually your goal on this project, that you think will keep you alive in continuing its development?
Just want to ask as we have seen a lot of alts come and go, and only few survive in this market.
If you are exploring the PoB concept, what is your main aim to accomplish on this project to make it sustainable?
2286  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Buying BTC vs Mining it on: March 07, 2022, 07:12:06 PM
Mining has a cost and isn't fast to recover your investment. I would recommend buying the coins and holding them until the price bump. That's the right way to make a nice profit with cryptos without a hard effort.

You should consider mining only if you can make a huge investment and only if you have cheap electricity.

I can understand that for practical reasons, it is better to buy btc rather than buy equipment to mine it.
As it depends on the capability of the person, if he is already a previous miner or not.
But if you are starting from scratch, I would also go for buying btc especially right now that it is below $40k.
Though you also need to keep up with the market as this will give you the edge when to get your profits.
But if you are here for long-term and strongly believe about btc, then, you can buy and hold.
Mining takes a lot of work, and other considerations like power consumption, environment and others.
If you are not in it to learn all the mining aspects better go the easier route.
2287  Economy / Economics / Re: China's strategy on the Ukraine invasion war on: March 07, 2022, 06:35:40 PM
Yea, not hard to understand China's brain. But hard to realize the role and when they will play on the field. So far China will never support those supported by the US. This is basic logic, which means China supports Russia. More importantly, China always looks from where they could take advantage and they just follow their own strategy. However, the war wasn't expected and seems Russians do not intend to leave Ukraine. The war will be more dangerous if the US interferes there. Let's hope to stop the war.

I had a discussion with someone who is affiliated in the politics in our country. He extensively explained that during the arbitration between China and the Philippines over the Spratly Islands, China was never considering on going to war, although they released and stationed their troops on the islands they "claimed" to be theirs. Like what happened between Vietnam and China, though the latter attempted to "claim" that some of the islands were theirs, the former started releasing soldiers against China in which the latter failed to retaliate.

Again, China will always be there on the backlines observing the spoils of war. They fully understand that almost every country needs them since they are this economic and labor powerhouse where almost 90% of our household things are made.

I can understand about this almost 90% of our household are China made.
Just look at the tags of every equipment, gadget or basically anything you can hold, and yes, it is Made in China.
With the ongoing war, they are just observing, but they are happy as Russian financial system has nowhere to go but use China's payment system.
And considering what may happen, China will gain from this war, economically. So they won't sanction Russia for any of this.
They may even get techniques on how to invade Taiwan, though they are pledging to peacefully resolve the Taiwan subject.

2288  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - 🦉 DRAKE x STAKE 🥩 - Watford FC & UFC Partner ⚽ 🥊 on: March 07, 2022, 06:00:36 PM
Me either, I wasn't expecting that stake would go this far and have a partnership with Drake. Before it was Israel, and then the other partnerships like with Dendi for esports (Dota 2). Now, it's with Drake who's also a player of stake.
As stake did the impossible with this partnership, we can be sure that they can go miles away with any partnership and any possibility that they can be a partner to any personality that's very known worldwide.

This is not new since Stake is owned by a huge company and one of the early Casino in crypto. Drake is having the time of his life for experiencing a hassle free betting experience considering how huge his bet size. Typically Casino wouldn't allow this kind of high roller bet yet Drake doing it casually on every fight in UFC and Football. I believe he has a cashback on all his bet as his partnership with Stake. Drake will not do this kind of partnership unless he will got something out of it.
Yes, not new but it's different this time because it's Drake. Unlike the usual partnerships by stake being made, most of them are with fighters, athletes, and players.
But Drake is on the next level even though he's not the same with those partnerships and athletes/fighters. I don't want to compare him but it's that he's got more reach for real.

Drake has been a long time player in stake, so maybe, this is the reason why they forged a partnership with them.
As a loyal patron, despite of not being an athlete, and a popular face in the music industry, they saw him as a good representative of the casino.
He has huge number of followers in social media, who is a very good candidate to influence his followers.
So now we understand that when Drake posted those huge bet slips, was in preparation for this big partnership ahead.
Now, I guess, a lot of his followers are now waiting for the live stream, and probably most of them are not previously stake players.
2289  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: 🚨 BCH.games | No bullshit casino | Cashout in 3 seconds | New game live on: March 07, 2022, 11:07:54 AM
your site is very good, although the name: BCH has been the subject of a lot of controversy in the past, I hope it doesn't affect your business, I'm particularly playing on your site, for now I'm using the free faucet coins, although I'm losing many times, I confess that I still haven't won, but I'm taking it as fun so I intend to keep playing until the day I get tired or  it's no longer available to play using faucet

If that is the case, then i may create and account there and try my luck too.

That's what I did, but from what I see as soon as you enter the site, you create an account automatically, you just need to choose a game and play, this function is very convenient

Usually gambling sites do not give free money withdrawals so easy, this can be one of the interesting feature of BCH.games.

we have to see until when this option will be available

Yes, but you have the option to change your username and add your email ad.
So I was looking from their terms regarding wagering requirements and I couldn't find any.
Does it mean that they don't have wagering requirements of the deposit?
Most casinos require at least 1x wagering requirement to prevent abuse or using the site as mixer.
As posted above, one player withdrew from his faucet earnings without deposit.
If others will find this out, it may be subject to abuse if they know how to go around the site.
But anyway, from their terms, the site has the authority to freeze the account in case of malicious activity.
2290  Economy / Speculation / Re: Do people overestimate BTC? on: March 06, 2022, 11:59:54 PM
we are still in Q1 2022 so imo it's still too soon to conclude Bitcoin price won't be able to touch $100k.  we all see that now there are many cities and also several countries that recognize Bitcoin as a currency and regulate it, with this good news it encouraging adoption to happen, we will definitely see another big surprise happening this year, soon the new btc ATH will definitely arrive.
Not very soon, people already predict it based on the BTC halving time and BTC price history previously. If you checked back the Bullrun in 2017, it happened after BTC halving in 2016. At that time, 2018 is the beginning of the bearish period. If the situation will be the same as previously, 2022 should be the same as 2018. Now, we are at the beginning of bearish. So, expecting another ATH in BTC will be impossible. There will be no $100k for BTC price this year.

We can't base what will happen in the future by referencing it from previous history.
The adoption is different today, so the impact may be different.
I am not saying that it will not be the same, but be open mind about other possible routes in this market.
As long as the market is alive, we have the chance to achieve those targets.
2291  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banning Bitcoin is Like Banning the Internet, Says Russia’s Finance Minister on: March 06, 2022, 11:41:13 PM
The debates will likely be ended up positive and it favors Bitcoin adoption than banning it. I see no reason why Russia will close a deal over Bitcoin as they know, the Presidents knows what seems best for their citizen, it was the internet that gives life now and this Bitcoin gives more.

If they are into concern about economic improvement, the existence of Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies have more to add. We can see a lot of people change their lives after investing in Bitcoin and that could prove the value of Bitcoin today and in the future.
Indeed, they are now accepting Bitcoin. It certainly change their minds knowing the fact that Bitcoin is not a threat to the economy but it was a helping tool to grow instead. The people from Russia have been so hopeful to have this and seeing the support from the government will eventually boost their courage and go for adoption.

Just like many countries, Bitcoin somehow helps people's lives, giving them hope to improve their living, and Banning Bitcoin is really not a helpful decision but it only makes people hate the government.
Politicians sell themselves as idealist, however they are for the most part incredibly pragmatic, basically if something works against their interests they are going to be against it, and if it works in their favor then they will embrace it, with all the sanctions Russia is facing then they need an alternative and while without a doubt they did their homework and prepared themselves for the harsh economic sanctions they received, they are now seeing if they can use bitcoin for their benefit, so I am not surprised they are embracing it at all.

They will always find a way how to resolve their situation as their movement is getting limited because of the sanctions.
And going into crypto, is one alternative to move their funds, without much restrictions.
Before, we know, they have different stance towards crypto, now, they are changing their perspectives.
It is only a matter of time for other governments to recognize the benefits brought by crypto.
We welcome their regulations but total banning is seems to be futile as their people can still go around with it.
2292  Economy / Economics / Re: Russian Invasion is affecting Sports Economy. on: March 06, 2022, 11:06:08 PM
I would say this is a good thing. I wish that nations actually cared about all the "bad people" as they did with Russian oligarchs though. Everyone loves abramovic and how he helped Chelsea to become a great team, but nobody questions the dirty ways he got that money. You may believe that he was a good person, but he was a terrible person all around, the way he became this rich was corruption from top to bottom.

However, we have people like Saudi Arabian princes that kill journalists that recently bought newcastle and already spent 100+ million on transfers and everyone cheers them. So, either ban all the "bad" money, or ban nobody. If sports keep being this selective then it is not going to be good for anyone.

Unfortunately, that's the reality of life and there will always be bias in this humanity.
A lot of these wealthy people got their position in some illegal ways, one way or another.
But who are we to judge about their riches? And now, some of these Russian oligarchs are receiving sanctions.
We don't know to what extent, but in some way, they are being punished also because of what is happening today.
We can't expect fairness in this society. What we can do is just to live our own lives in rightful manner.
2293  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: March 06, 2022, 09:41:59 PM
Just because it lines up it all comes down to money and if it makes sense for both sides.  Crawford don't care who he fights.  His angle has always been to be the pound for pound best.  I'd love to see his go at with with Spence.  I don't buy many of the fights but I'd pony up for that one.  Boxing needs that fight to happen.  Crawford is fun to watch, always liked seeing him in the ring.
In terms of money, I think there will be no problem in this match (if it happens) because it is certain that this will be one that will be recorded in history considering that both fighters are the best at this time and of course there must be one who is made king in one area. Likewise in boxing there must be one who can indeed be said to be the ruler now whether it is Spence or Crawfod.
The best boxers now in their division are Crawford and Spence because they are both undefeated and holding a title, Ugas just came in the picture because he was successful in defending his title against Pacman, but I guess that would not last long as Spence could beat him and that will give way to the biggest fight which is the Crawford vs Spence.

A lot are hoping that Spence Jr will easily beat Ugas in the upcoming fight.
Even sportsbooks are highly favoring Spence Jr with their odds.
Ugas is at 3.5-4.2, which clearly shows that they are indeed expecting Spence to win.
And that is true, Ugas came into the picture because he beat the legendary Pacquiao.
So we will see to how far can Ugas hold that belt inside the ring. This is an interesting match to watch out for.
2294  Economy / Gambling / Re: BetJA.com | The highest Payout + $1000 Prize for BET Free Every Week on: March 06, 2022, 09:05:46 PM
But I do not think it will be easy to win because you need to predict precisely those 10 teams and must win to be eligible to be the winners. That is what I read on their announcement on their website.
Actually $ 1,000 is the main prize for who can guess correctly 10 games but you can still get a prize if you guess the match correctly at most the prize is $ 100, if there are two players who can do that then the prize will be share to that players. There is a level of difficulty here because the game consists of several leagues so it really needs analysis and also luck.

Unfortunately, I have not noticed any information about the change of the prize amount anywhere. In fact, the main page says that the prize is $1000 for the selection of "correct outcom of all events".

However, in "Terms & Condition" the top prize is still $10k.

Could someone explain this situation?

If you got all the matches correct - 10 correct outcomes, you will get $10k worth in bitcoin as reward.
Also, take note that you can only withdraw your winnings if you have minimum deposit of 0.001 BTC.
It says no deposit required to play, but in case you won, and want to withdraw, you still need to deposit their min requirement.
I believe it is only typo error regarding the $1k. But you can clarify it with the betja rep.
2295  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where do daytraders store their crypto? on: March 05, 2022, 11:44:38 PM
It is possible to trade directly with your non-custodian wallet with some exchange like coinbase. And if you trade on dex, you will also be in charge of your coin. But to trade on centralized exchange, you will have to trust that exchange! When you keep your coin on centralized exchange for days or one or two weeks, you shouldn't have to worry about hack if those exchange have track record of safety of customers funds!

I think most day traders store or leave their coins in the exchange itself.
Because getting out will incur fees, so if you are active trader, it is not practical to get in and out your funds frequently.
However, if you are storing it to the exchange, it is better to choose the exchange which has very good reputation.
And at least your funds are protected just like in Binance, which has insurance for its users.
Coinbase has also this FDIC-insurance up to $250k if you are keeping cash with them.

2296  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin likely won't recover until 2025 on: March 05, 2022, 11:00:22 PM
If we’re following the four year cycles then it’s likely the price will suck in 2022. We’ll bottom in 2023 & then range until the halving in 2024. The price will slowly start to recover but the real bull run will start in 2025, we’ll get ath after ath until late 2025 or early 2026 before starting the next bear market. History doesn’t always repeat but it often rhymes.

I believe in history repeating itself and that's likely to happen in the market, but the market is sentiment-based it could turn this from bad to worse, from good to great, depending on what's happening around us like the pandemic and the ongoing war, right now we are looking on the impact of Ukraine - Russian war in a long term it could become or negative depending on the outcome of the war if it drags on it may have a bad impact.

And with the evolving reasons why many people are going into crypto.
We can't assure that it will repeat its history or deviate from it.
The growth in crypto market is different in the past years, so making a reference of the previous years may not be valid anymore.
We will see if the speculations are right or wrong in the succeeding years. Will it follow its history or not?
2297  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake charging $3.09 on a $1.69 withdraw on: March 05, 2022, 10:03:42 PM
here you can see table showing the minimum bitcoin withdrawal amounts, fees and choose a casino which will  meet your requirements: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5333602.0 - but check the last edit date.

He has a wide choice of casinos that offers free transaction fees, this table is good for those whose part of the preference is the withdrawal fees, it's not one of the preferences, I look at reputation and support, but it's indeed a good reference it adds just up the popularity of the casino if they offer free withdrawal fees, but casinos has their own set rules when it comes to withdrawal.

Well, my take on this is a bit different. I don't see low withdrawal fee as a measure to choose and play at a casino. Stake is a good casino to play and even if i have to pay a dollar or two more withdrawal fee, i will be happy to do so. They have so many features which you won't find on other gambling sites like their sports betting is very popular. You would not stop betting there only because they charge you 2 dollars extra withdrawal fee, would you?

If he's a small player and the extra dollar means a lot then he can look elsewhere there is no withdrawal fee, the forum is not lacking good casinos that offer cheap or free transactions, but if you are high rollers $2 to $3 don't mean a lot as long as you will receive your withdrawals or winnings when you want it, no doubt Stake is a good place to play but they are not perfect that can meet every player's expectation.

When it comes to withdrawal fees, that's where small players are worried of.
The good thing about stake is that you know for sure, your transaction will go thru.
It is their fix amount of withdrawal fee, so if you are a high roller, definitely, this amount doesn't matter to you.
So if you are just a small time player, better look for other casinos which has small withdrawal fees or use the dinabot as suggested to convert to other alts.
Some casinos do charge what is the actual network fee, but most are charging fix fees. It is your choice where to play anyway.
2298  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How To Build A Great Crypto Portfolio on: March 04, 2022, 11:34:25 PM
I got these things...

* selection of potential coins
* terms of holding (short-term or long-term)
* Commitment to the plan

It is very understandable that we can improve our portfolio if we are able to know exactly what we are doing. But if don't give focus to this, that gonna be impossible to happen. We'd likely to improve our market understanding and much about to spare more patience to the market.

If you are investing on something, it is given that you are the one taking care of it.
As no one will remind you about the status of the project, it is your job to keep tabs on your portfolio.
Choosing alts is already a tedious job. Because you are selecting from thousands of alts.
But you need to streamline your choices here. Better prioritize the established alts rather than the hyped-up coins.
You can easily get screwed with new alts with very weak foundation in the market.
2299  Economy / Gambling / Re: [GUIDE] 10 complete steps for new casino into this forum on: March 04, 2022, 10:20:35 PM
When a casino purchases a license, KYC verification should be (or maybe even must be) required.
And here comes the question of whether cryptocurrency casinos should require KYC verification, which has been discussed many times.
In my opinion, everyone should decide individually whether they prefer better security and casino with a license and KYC or an anonymous casino without a license.
I prefer anonymous casinos where KYC is not required, so for me the license is not important.
When it comes to a large amount of money, fine-tuning the details and speed of the platform and above all marketing, I fully agree.
I don't think that all casinos that have license will require KYC right away if that's what it is but it may be a different situation where the casino that have license would only ask KYC when you do transactions (mostly withdrawal of the funds). You chould check popular casinos with a license and see if you will need KYC right after you create an account as it would mostly about what I just said. For each gamblers, it is up to the people who gamble want to choose about a casino that gamblers wanted to gamble which in your case is an anonymous casino without a license but with a fine turning of the securities and some are fine with a casino with KYC required.

Not all top casinos here with gambling license requires KYC.
Like for example, stake, if you are just a small timer and is using crypto, they won't require KYC.
But of course, you always need to keep in mind that at any given moment, they may ask your KYC details.
In my opinion, it is better to play in a reputable casino (whether they will possibly ask KYC) rather than a substandard one, where you have the worry of not getting out your funds.
2300  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Which tokens have a future? I need 3 of them on: March 03, 2022, 11:00:35 PM
I already remember writing in this topic and my opinion still hasn't changed, it's these matic and btc. These three assets, in my opinion, are the most interesting at the moment and have already brought a good profit.
My portfolio is exactly like this right now.
Talking about assets, I think the top coins are worth owning because they are proven to be profitable,
Bitcoin certainly doesn't need to be doubted, so besides that altcoins like BNB, Matic, and Ethereum are potential and profitable coins,
everyone actually has their own preferences regarding it

If you will stick to top alts or at least at the top 10 cryptocurrencies, you will minimize your losses.
For sure, most of the suggested new projects have been abandoned already by their respective developers.
And almost a year after the OP asked this question, curious what alts he did venture for his funds?
You can never go wrong with BTC for one. And others like ETH, BNB or MATIC are very good candidate as these platforms keep on innovating.
With active development comes a promising future. Because this will tell you how sincere are developers in providing better service to the community.
