The Lakers have signed forward Christian Wood to a 2 year deal. Christian had a decent year last year averaging 16 & 7. I’m not sure how he’ll fit into the lineup but maybe he’s a little extra insurance in case something happens to Anthony Davis. Wood did dominate the Lakers in the Christmas game last year…

I’ve been seeing tweets showing the Cybertruck driving around with its suspension fully raised. Looks like a monster truck. I wonder if I’ll be able to set it to raise fully when driving and then each time it turns off somewhere it fully lowers. That would be cool… I’ll post some links below so you can see for yourself.

2383  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Colorado DMV now accepts cryptocurrency for online services. on: September 05, 2023, 11:50:39 PM
This is pretty cool. I don’t live in Colorado but if I did I would take advantage of this to show that Bitcoin supporters are out there. I rarely see the option to pay with BTC in my regular life but it is always exciting when the option does pop up somewhere. People should always choose Bitcoin when given the option.

I saw TMZ reporting over the holiday weekend that Draymond Green slapped a bartender at a Los Angeles restaurant after the bartender had some nasty comments to say to LeBron James. This resulted in Draymond being arrested (allegedly?). I haven’t seen this making the news rounds so maybe it isn’t true? If it is true, I wonder if Draymond will be starting the year suspended.
Several articles say that it was just false but if this has happened. He shouldn't just slap anyone out of nowhere if he hears something bad about anyone in the league except himself.

And if the fact that he's arrested, he can always settle that with the money that he got.  So, that's the solution, a talk and a settlement and probably an apology would be enough already for that person he slapped.

Still waiting for some valid and accurate source about it.

With money, it's easy to cover and negotiate, not unless the person involves got something behind or also capable of sucking more from
the alleged suspect.

I see your point and it's valid, if just a hearsay. Better not to deal with it to the point that you need
to slap someone to point your stand.

Let's see if something will be cooked behind this alleged news, will also wait for any possible updates.

I saw footage of the arrest, so either it was him and he’s going to be in big trouble or it’s a case of mistaken identity and that’s why we aren’t hearing anything about it. I’d assume a news outlet would check with people at the scene to make sure it was true information but you never know. I wonder if incidents like this are usually swept under the rug by the NBA.
2385  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The conspiracy of Chicago State University and Tinubu on: September 05, 2023, 11:06:07 PM
Speaking of conspiracy theories… I recently found a channel on YouTube where the guy goes over various conspiracy theories and it is both entertaining and educational. Maybe you could request he do a video on this subject if you’d like to see more about it. The channel is called whyfiles and I’ve enjoyed the videos I’ve watched.

I’m seeing clips of an interview with Shaquille O’Neal and Bobbi Althoff. That should be pretty funny as they are both interesting personalities. I really enjoyed the interview she did with Mark Cuban, and she’s definitely made a splash on the podcasting scene. Will be great to see how our boy Shaq handles her dryness.
2387  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Vitalik Buterin Dumps $578K in MakerDAO Tokens on: September 05, 2023, 09:45:40 PM
Vitalik has been dumping tokens and moving ETH around rather publicly lately. Makes me wonder if this is just him protecting against a possible failure of the Binance exchange or if he’s just moving his finances around for other reasons. Who knows, maybe this is him preparing for retirement.
2388  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin mempool reaches 600K transactions on: September 05, 2023, 09:43:45 PM
I didn’t realize the mempool was on the creep again but from looking at the data it does appear to be mostly very low fee transactions, so it isn’t stopping much real volume from hitting the blockchain. I actually don’t see anything wrong with transactions waiting to be included on the chain and miners should be happy that they have a backlog of revenue.
2389  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 05, 2023, 09:40:46 PM
It feels like we’re back to stable prices as someone puts down a net to capture all the fleeing BTC from the wallets of the lettuce-handed. I would strongly advise against selling any BTC here and I also believe we’re about a month or two away from the market breaking out to the upside on a run for $40K to close out the year.

2391  Economy / Speculation / Re: Impact of bitcoin price speculations on individual bitcoin holding on: September 04, 2023, 10:35:13 PM
Absolutely nothing stops my DCA accumulation. I am not trying to time the market and definitely don’t trade, even though it would have historically been extremely profitable to do so. Price speculation is mostly for fun and to keep a handle on the goings on in the market so that you can recognize multi-year peaks and valleys.
2392  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake.com - The Leading Crypto Casino - Drake, UFC, Everton, Alfa Romeo F1 Team on: September 04, 2023, 05:19:18 PM
Watcher.guru is reporting that Stake was hacked for $41,300,000 worth of crypto. Is this true? Will it have any effect on operations or is 40 million dollars chump change? Hopefully this won’t have any effect on growth plans for Kick. That’s a pretty big loss, but I’m assuming Stake has the money to cover it at this time.

2393  Economy / Speculation / Re: Could Bitcoin potentially serve as a safe haven in the upcoming economic crisis on: September 04, 2023, 08:17:46 AM
There is no safe place when a crisis occurs, many people think too much about Bitcoin, what we must understand is the concept of decentralization such as bitcoin of course also prone to drop when inflation occurs, it is better to save large amounts of assets in trusted commodities such as gold, Land and so on, and making cryptocurrencies is an alternative investment so that it does not make us panic when a bear market occurs.

You had me with the first line but I don’t think gold will be a very effective hedge in a major market collapse either. The good news is that I don’t think a major crash is in the cards because banks have inflation keeping their assets afloat at the moment and that may last long enough to kick the can down the road on this whole economic crash thing.
2394  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 03, 2023, 11:35:51 PM

He's not a good player to trade for Giannis. There's no question that Davis is talented, but it's a big gamble for the Bucks to accept Davis because he's known to be injury-prone. While we're not hoping he will get injured, history has shown that he has been plagued by injuries most of the time. This is also the reason he was traded to the Lakers from the Pelicans.

I don't know if this is right but if Giannis really wanted to be traded then that's the only way if they can get some good offer from the Lakers if the other teams cannot give them more players for Giannis and some good offers specifically for him. nevertheless, if the players wanted to get out from the team, the team like the 76ers would have nothing to do but accept their request since they might not want to play intensively anymore for that team.

Nothing will happen to them if they push a player to play with them if he's not for the team anymore. But I believe Giannis case is different since he just like his team to be more competent and will not rely on current situations or asset that they have. This is a good move made by him since he might know if Bucks do something to win another championship again and if they want to retain him .

I don’t think the Bucks will trade him. They have to get every game out of him they can before they fade back into irrelevance. Giannis doesn’t want to be traded either. He wants to run out his contract and then sign with a major contender to create a super team. I think Golden State makes all the sense in the world, or maybe the Lakers if they were able to dump AD or something happens to Bron.
2395  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 03, 2023, 10:26:42 AM
I think there’s a very strong chance that we still end the year around $40,000. I think that a 4th quarter rally could kick off in October and send the market >50% higher before year’s end. This would mirror action that we saw in 2015, which I think may be a good indicator for where we are headed given the similarities in position in the 4-year cycle. Strong buy!
2396  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Why don't Bitcoiners care about using there mining to advance science? on: September 03, 2023, 01:40:54 AM
Harnessing mining power for other uses is something that has evaded people mostly. I’m sure if it were easily doable, we would all be mining to help whatever scientific cause is available. I suspect that merged mining could enable someone to build a solution to this problem, but so far I’ve seen nothing moving in that direction.
2397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A typical weekend in sport betting-Why do gamblers still do sport bets? on: September 02, 2023, 10:31:14 PM
I feel like sports bets are the only bets where you can be sure that everything is on the up and up. It’s honestly the only betting I do with any level of seriousness. I like being able to use my knowledge of sports to try and beat the odds, plus you get to watch more sports. Why wouldn’t someone want to bet on sporting events?
2398  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake phishing on: September 02, 2023, 10:29:26 PM
So you’re saying someone hacked your account and won you $2,000 but then decided not to cash out? If you have 2fa on withdrawals I would say that definitely saved you, and it sounds like you made money and admit you got fished so I’m not sure why you say Stake owes you something. The whole story sounds made up to be honest.
2399  Economy / Speculation / Re: take advantage of opportunities on: September 02, 2023, 04:54:35 PM
This is the optimist view of the market and the best way to buy low and sell high. Instead of being sad that Bitcoin has been down from its highs, you have to see it as an opportunity to get your hands on more sats easier than it would be at higher prices. Don’t be the guy sitting on the sidelines to FOMO buy when we hit six figures.
2400  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 02, 2023, 04:52:19 PM
Steve Kerr is stirring the pot by saying that he would love to coach Giannis, saying he’s not only a great player but also a great person. I think that’s probably as much as he can say without getting fined for tampering, but it’s pretty clear that Golden State is going to do everything they can to try and sign Giannis when the time comes.
Yeah, it will be a limited statement, or else the NBA will be on his tail.  Cheesy
Signing Giannis to the Golden State Warriors will probably cost them a lot of good players. Wiggins, and maybe even Klay or Draymond. But if the Bucks are interested they could take CP3 which means a great deal of money that will be released to their salary cap and they get someone that will be worth the price, no disrespect to CP3.
But it all sums down to what the Bucks will need. Giannis is one of the top of the league so I don't think they are just going to let him go. I am more sure that he will make him the face of their franchise.
I've seen some rumors regarding Jrue Holiday trade too but the source is not that convincing so I think it's just a rumor that will die quickly.

Yes, that's what I'm seeing as well, if Klay don't play well in the upcoming season, then I think he will be in the trading block. And if Giannis shows intention of joining, then maybe throw in Wiggins + future draft picks.

Not sure about Draymond though, he is the bedrock of the Warriors so I don't see the management letting go of him. And he just sign a good contract, so he could be out of the equation.

That really might be the case, there is a chance that Klay Thompson will be delivered for the trade along with a few first rounders instead of Draymond as it's always Klay who is somehow not consistent enough compared to Draymond who is always a defensive machine in the perimeter.

The team knows that he is already old and yet they still gave him what he asked because he never failed the team, and next season, it's Klay's time to show if he's still the right man for the job and until then, the Warriors will weigh the things if he still deserves to be given an extension.

As Klay ages his defense is going to struggle and I think a trade to a team like the Lakers where he could be a spot shooter and nothing else would be good for him and the Warriors. Draymond just needs to be released… Giannis will do his role better than him anyway. I don’t think Klay to the Lakers is likely, but they are pursuing Trae Young for this season to try and meet their shooting demands.
