I was always a bit puzzled about how such "hubs" generate income, as renting a (presumably large) office in the heart of Belgrade must be costly. I don't expect there will be many members paying fees (why would you need that at all) or any large number of donors. As for this one, I can't even say if their official website, https://hub21.rs/ is meant to be serious or humorous, i.e. the "Our team" part is 4 photos of the same guy and 4 different nicknames and some spelling errors. The small amount of coins left for sale makes it so new users are extremely important for those who want to take the price to the next level. Big hubs like this definitely encourage learning about Bitcoin and likely bring people together to share ideas and build projects. Bitcoin is still small enough with such a limited supply that anything being built to take coins off the market could have a substantial impact.

Bitcoin is an investment that rewards those with a long time preference. In addition, traders also like to harness the short term volatility to make money. I personally think the only ones who win when it comes to traders are the exchanges that take fees from them, but I’m sure there are stories of the few who traded their way to massive riches.

A little bit of outrage being shown as Josh Giddey takes the floor as a started for the Oklahoma City Thunder. It seems like the NBA hasn’t taken any action against Josh yet, but I assume at some point the results of an investigation into Josh’s off court activities with a Junior in High School will be announced. Not sure what sort of penalty the NBA will give him. Seems like a police matter.

I recently heard a story about a man who is suing his significant other for letting the cat out of the bag so to speak on his lottery winnings. I could certainly understand why people want to keep these kinds of windfalls a secret, as the murder rate jumps quite a bit when people know you have money. Perhaps that is a possible motivation.

He seems to be moving quite quickly on his promise to rid his country of central banking. I haven’t heard a ton of talk about Bitcoin from his Administration, but one would have to assume that is the direction they will be considering going. It seems like maybe El Salvador will be inspiring more countries to take this route.

Not too much happening in the NBA today but the Thunder with their surprisingly good record to start the season are playing against the 76ers. That should be a decent game. No televised games today though. The Mavericks and Clippers might be another decent matchup as the Clippers try to build momentum on their few wins lately.

No Kevin Durant tonight or Bradley Beal for the Phoenix Suns but they still managed to blow out the Grizzlies by 21 points. Devon Booker stepped up and scored 40 to get it done. You love to see it. I hope they get a chance to get a couple dozen games in with KD and Beal to go with Booker before the playoffs so they can get their game together.

I’ve said this before certainly, but I’ve always heard that the lottery is a way of collecting extra taxes from people who are bad at math. In the United States we even use lottery money to give to schools in order to improve education. This is quite ironic, but also a great initiative in my opinion, as people love to pay extra taxes in the form of gambling.

Investor confidence seemingly being extremely high right now is the scariest part of the market. We are all expecting massive price increases which will mean we’ll either all get burned, or we’ll believe it into existence. The only thing that gives me peace is that most people outside the Bitcoin world still think crypto is dead from the last cycle.

NBA basketball is back in action today after the Thanksgiving Day break. Not too much excitement today though. A couple of not so interesting games on ESPN and a couple games that should be blowouts. The Bucks should be able to easily take down the Wizards and the Suns should be able to handle the Grizzlies. Not much in the way of odds for either though.

Nice to see a $38K candle for Thanksgiving. The market did not disappoint. Feels a lot like it isn’t going to stop until it hits $40K. As we rally into the end of the year things are starting to get exciting. With everyone predicting a big 2024-2025 this will likely be considered the beginning of the major bull run we’re anticipating.

It definitely was FTX and their fraud of keeping people from buying BTC to dump into shitcoins that kept Bitcoin’s price depressed during the last cycle. Will this cycle make up for it and put us back on track or did FTX set us back 4 years. I guess we’ll see if the market only goes up to $150,000 or if it makes up for the last cycle and shoots up over half a mil…

Looks like we have a day off from NBA games as the league lets its players celebrate Turkey Day here in the United States. Plenty of NBA drama to keep up with on social media though as the Oklahoma City Thunder are dealing with Josh Giddy apparently having a relationship with a 16 year old girl. His career may now be toast.

I think the biggest effect on Bitcoin will be the amount of scams that AI begins attempting to try and stack BTC for whatever reason. We’re all going to be targeted and the rate they’ll be able to communicate will be insane. Worse, there will be those who protect the behavior of the basis of free speech. It will be important for people to stand up to this behavior at some point, although I’m not sure how.

Congrats LeBron for 39k points. It's always nice to witness this kind of record. I'm sure we'll see 40k points before he retires.
LeBron's current contract ends after the 24/25 season, and this is most likely the last contract of his career. In other words, LeBron will play in the NBA for at least two more seasons, including the current regular season, which means he's going to break the 40k point mark anyway. Personally, I expect LeBron will have 42-43k points by the time he decides to end his career. I think if he can avoid injuries he’ll probably do 2 more seasons. Maybe 3 more after this year if he can continue playing at a high level. Statistically, I think it’s assists he’s really trying to get up. He has potential to be #2 all time if he became more of a passer. What we saw from him tonight isn’t it though. He lost the game with that poorly placed alley-oop attempt to AD.

Coach Pop grabbing the mic to tell the crowd in San Antonio to quit booing Kawhi was pretty crazy. Even the announcers commented that they’d never seen anything like that before. Good on coach Pop to have the crowd show some class. Also nice to see the Clippers putting together a winning streak after their rough start.

Between Binance unwinding their BS positions to actually get on par with holding their customer deposits instead of using them to inflate their holdings and mtgox seemingly ready to begin distributing coins, you have to expect a little turbulence here. These are the last speed bumps before takeoff for Bitcoin though. I’d take advantage of a big dip in the coming months if we see one.

A couple of good games airing on ESPN tonight as we roll into the holidays. First up the Bucks vs the Celtics. This should be a great game with 2 of the best teams in the league. Then we have the Suns vs the Warriors. I’m expecting the Suns to win this game easily as the Warriors have been struggling a bit, so it might be worth betting on.

To sue an exchange is the new china bans bitcoin? Losing binance shouldn't effect King Daddy at all and might help by curtailing the shitcoin Eth tard manipulators but Kraken is a good onboarding platform that would suck to lose. Kraken closed my account with no notice and no reason given. When I contacted them they told me they couldn’t give me any more information. Pretty shady considering I’ve hardly used the exchange at all in years. As far as I’m concerned, good riddance. I’m also glad I got my mtgox claim transferred to a different exchange. That's not shady at all and gave you tons of information. Riddle me this...Do you think they did it because they don't like you so singled you out and decided not to take your fees? No, I think I was probably a part of a wave of account closures from old accounts that maybe don’t generate them any money in fees, so they’re cleaning the slate. Just a wild guess. I’m sure if I was a high value user of the exchange that generated any fees for them at some point in the last several years, they probably would’ve kept it open.
