Housing market showing some serious signs of collapsing, the Fed pausing rates, and the market cheers. This is because people are already expecting the government to have to do another round of stimulus. Feels like we’re back to 10 years ago again. Looks like people are giving the all clear sign to move back into speculative investments.

The battle of Los Angeles between the Clippers and Lakers should be a good one to watch tonight. It’s airing on ESPN and I think I like the Lakers to win this one. With the Clippers gutting their team to get James Harden and not having enough time to work him into the team yet, I think we may see them struggle a bit tonight.
1623  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Nobody dont like war but it Will expanding only one reasons on: November 01, 2023, 04:35:08 PM
War definitely won’t be going anywhere sadly. There is too much money in it. The fact that people can long a stock like Lockheed Martin, commit a war crime, and get rich is a scary thing. Not saying that is always the case, but the way markets work nowadays it’s almost like monetized terrorism. I don’t know how to change that, but I suspect it will get worse, not better.
1624  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What will be the feature of Bitcoin? on: November 01, 2023, 04:32:32 PM
I think the big feature of Bitcoin will be shown when banks start collapsing and people are lining up all day outside ATMs to withdraw a tiny bit of money that the limit at the time will allow. Of course by then it will be too late to buy Bitcoin, but those who own it already will be the only ones with any sort of real financial freedom.

I enjoyed seeing all the players dressing up for Halloween. Steph Curry had maybe the most entertaining costume. Unfortunately for my home team Suns it was not a great holiday. Not taking a timeout at the end and losing the game while leading all but the last 2.2 seconds is a wild turn of events. The coach should take responsibility for that L.

Pretty wild that after such a big move upward we didn’t see a correction at all. That shows the strength of the market currently as profit taking coins are being snapped up by whoever out there is buying. It’s a clear cut sign of consolidation which I believe means that the next move will be upward and a big one. We’ll see if the market is playing tricks or will deliver a treat.

Kawhi Leonard already being spotted in a strip club since the James Harden trade is hilarious. Look up the video footage on Twitter if you want. I think it’s pretty clear those guys are going to be spending more time in strip clubs this year then they will practicing. Going to be a fun season for them for sure.
1628  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Will Putin's Alleged death boost the world's economy? on: November 01, 2023, 02:49:59 AM
I haven’t heard anything about this. Putin seems like a pretty healthy individual and one of the wealthiest people in the world so I’d be a little bit surprised if it were true. I’m sure there are no shortage of people who are attempting to assassinate him though so we’ll have to wait and see what the truth is I guess.
1629  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Should I, we, run a bitcoin node? on: October 31, 2023, 10:54:59 PM
There was a time when running a node was important, but I don’t think that time is here anymore. Unless you’re running some sort of mining pool or accepting BTC through some sort of automated storefront it doesn’t make a ton of sense to do. It’s more a waste of resources than anything and will likely have a negative effect on your hardware.
1630  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 31, 2023, 10:52:51 PM
Honestly, when I have first read the news about superstars uniting in the LA Clippers, the first thing that came to my mind is bout them gonna explode with that roster.

Yeah, explode in a negative manner that they need to build chemistry again and it is possible that the management might do some trades again in the middle of this conference.

I am not optimistic with their roster, having plenty of superstars doesnt guarantee a ring.

It will be fun to watch them, but I don’t see them getting beyond the first round of the playoffs. An odd pairing of defensive specialists and a ball hog. I wonder what Kawhi Leonard’s true feelings on the trade are.

Joel Embiid got fined $35,000 today for his “suck it” celebration gesture against the Blazers on Sunday. I actually found it pretty funny.

Philadelphia 76ers traded James Harden to the Clippers.
The league is going to mess up badly with this team. Jarden, Westbrook, Paul George and Kawhi Leonard are a very good squad, I hope they can be champions.
You forgot to mention John Wall. I don't really see the Clippers winning a championship, even though they have James Harden now, because they lack solid defense and a reliable center. Maybe they can also sign Dwight Howard since he is available right now (If possible why not). Let's see what happens this season as James Harden and Westbrook were teammates before on the Rockets and OKC. Hopefully, there will be a different outcome. A championship? 😮‍💨

The Clippers will still win nothing this season.
Every single player is past their prime, even PG13 and KL in my opinion. All these injuries and so on took a toll on them.

On paper they have good names but I don't see them as a good team still.

I agree. They’re all a bit older but mostly PG13 and Kawhi are injury prone while Harden is well passed his prime. This doesn’t even take into account they just traded half their team for Harden. I don’t think this works out for anyone except the players, who won’t win but will probably have a fun time hanging out and traveling together.
1632  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 31, 2023, 06:32:29 AM
Looks like James Harden got what he wanted… A trade to the Clippers. Sad state of affairs the way the players are running the show in the NBA.
1633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 30, 2023, 03:51:54 PM
I can’t get over how bad Austin Reeves played yesterday. He went from leading the Olympic team (to a loss) to becoming a sub par NBA player in a matter of weeks…
1634  Economy / Goods / Re: ~ Buying a TESLA CYBERTRUCK with BITCOIN ~ on: October 30, 2023, 06:23:39 AM
Elon Musk decided it would be a good idea to do a live fire test on the Cybertruck, so he emptied a drum from a Tommy gun into the side of it as a test supposedly if tweets are to be believed. He also confirmed that not a single bullet made it into the cabin. Then what did they do? They drove the Cybertruck around town to show it off.

So you are gonna be driving this weird looking thing around, daring folks to take a tommy gun to it? Hey, whatever floats your boat man....

I guess it’s in my personality. If you’re familiar with my posts here you’re likely aware that I am not one to play it safe or hide. If someone shoots a gun at me while I’m driving this thing, they’d better hope they can accelerate faster than 0-60 in 2.9 seconds or they will become a hood ornament and I’ll get to be on the news.
1635  Economy / Speculation / Re: 127% Up from Bottom in 2022 on: October 30, 2023, 06:21:04 AM
The rally from the bottom has been explosive, but not enough to capture mainstream attention yet. Plenty of people I talk to still think Bitcoin has crashed and burned. When Bitcoin starts being thrust into everyone’s faces again I think the rally will be tremendous. Most people aren’t interested and we’re at $34,300. It won’t be long now.
1636  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: October 30, 2023, 06:19:12 AM
I’ll admit I didn’t watch the full fight so I probably shouldn’t even make this comment, but I did see plenty of clips and it seemed to me like Tyson Fury lost this fight. What is it that I’m missing. Are all the highlights of the fight tilted to make Francis look like he did better than he did? Is there anyone who thinks Tyson Fury won this fight?
1637  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How will it affect your life if bitcoin price comes to $1 million per bitcoin? on: October 30, 2023, 12:45:38 AM
If Bitcoin hit a million dollars a coin I would probably have no choice but to sell all of mine and spend the rest of my days enjoying the fruits of my labor. I actually think it would probably be a bad thing for me personally, at least health and productivity wise. It would be cool though. No idea what I’d spend millions of dollars on.
1638  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 30, 2023, 12:23:04 AM
The strength of this rally has been quite impressive. While it may be slowing a bit as we attempt to break through $35K, I have to say that I am surprised with how we continue to drift upwards. Clearly someone is buying a lot of coins right now. Now to see if we smash through $35K and keep going or bounce off of it and go back into consolidation.
1639  Other / Politics & Society / Re: No Bread In Gaza - Killing For Food Will Start In Two, Three Days on: October 30, 2023, 12:12:27 AM
Looks like you were off by a couple days but in fact it does look like killing for food is now the norm over there. Such a tragedy being made worse. Seeing citizens attacking storage depots for food is one of the more sad events I’ve seen in my lifetime. I couldn’t imagine if that was the only option I had left to try and feed my family.
1640  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 30, 2023, 12:10:37 AM
The OKC Thunder remained unbeaten at 2-0 after dispatching Donovan Mitchell and his gang. I am feeling the potential of this young team led by Shai Gilgeous Alexander. I noticed SGA during the FIBA how careful he was with his shots, especially during crucial times. Now he is averaging 30 plus points and is above 50% on his field goals.

All are talking about Wemby these days and I heard his NBA debut garnered high television ratings with millions of viewers. Meanwhile, Chet Holmgren is doing his thing in OKC well even if he is not the main man. Earlier against the Cavs, he made 7 huge blacks as his team won big in a close entertaining game.
He is growing, and maturing, and I think the experience in both NBA and FIBA helped a lot to be on this stage.
Plus, he got good help now from Chet Holmgren, Dort, and Giddey. This is going to be a strong team if OKC will keep that roster. What they need is to build chemistry and soon they will be one of the strong teams in the league.

Tomorrow/Later, they will battle against the Denver Nuggets and this will test them out big time if they will continue that winning streak.
There's also the Sacramento Kings versus the LA Lakers tomorrow, another young promising team. I will definitely not miss this one and I bet it will be a great game to watch and maybe bet a little bit.  Wink
Truth be told, I do agree that SGA is going to be a great player but he is not the number one option in a title winning team potential player if you ask me. This means that their first option is not good enough to get a title, and won't be, and they need someone even better than him.

I do not fully comprehend the business side of things, because if you are not running a team in order to get a title, then why are you even running it? Like just so it would worth a lot in the future one day? Not entirely sure really and I think it is going to be a tough deal. In the end, OKC needs better players, and they do have insane amount of picks, which they can use to pick players if they want but they have way too many of them, I would suggest trading and getting better but less picks, like give 2 first round picks and get a higher 1 first round pick type of trades.

SGA’s stats are crazy but that’s just because his team is really bad in my opinion. I think if he’s on a title contender then you’d see his starts fall through the floor. The Nuggets showed today that the OKC Thunder are nowhere near the conversation of title contender, but SGA is a decent piece to have and be able to build around.
