1441  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Would You Crowdfund for a Gambler Who Has Gambled Irresponsibly? on: November 22, 2023, 12:36:27 AM
Hell no… Why would you crowdfund for an irresponsible gambler? Thats like giving a crackhead a bunch of crack and then feeling good about yourself because this time they’re not going to smoke it all and buy more, they’re going to use it to ween themselves off crack. This is a sub-80 IQ line of thinking you’d only hear from a Biden voter.

To sue an exchange is the new china bans bitcoin?  Roll Eyes

Losing binance shouldn't effect King Daddy at all and might help by curtailing the shitcoin Eth tard manipulators but Kraken is a good onboarding platform that would suck to lose.
Many got panic on thay news and they think it will be huge disaster for crypto to lose cz or even binance. But if they just widen up their minds they can see a lot of reputable exchange still running if binance will get affected on the issue.

Kraken is one best alternative with that and it seems many people doesn't get a damn on the news that's why a slight downfall only happen since many are not totally affected with current news about CZ plead guilty news. Still best to hodl no issue could stop this upcoming bullrun  Smiley.

CZ stepping down is because he knows he did the exact same thing with Binance that SBF did with FTX. The only difference was that Binance had enough customer funds on deposit that they were able to hold the price of BNB up to avoid liquidations. As soon as they started offering wild rates again for stablecoins it was obvious they’re sitting on a house of cards. Hopefully everything unwinds without crashing the market too badly.

The Sacramento Kings are having a pretty good year so far building on what they were able to accomplish last year. Now they’re saying that they are going to get aggressive at the trading deadline but I’m not sure who is available that that could target. Maybe DeMar DeRozan but I’m not sure how well he would fit into their offense.

I'm not sure if trading for another superstar will help them improve their roster, because what I can see with them since last year is that they need time to gel together and figure out how to win games in the playoffs. They already have a solid team chemistry that compliments each and every pieces in their roster. If they want to make a trade for another superstar, it would most probably going to involve Keegan Murray, Kevin Huerter, Malik Monk, Harris Barnes 1 or 2 of these players will get involved with the trade, we all know they won't send Sabonis and Fox away for a trade. Either of those 4 guys I've mentioned played a vital role for the team's success so far, so It's going to be gamble anyway. We've seen several teams who acquired 1-2 superstars recently, but didn't work well.

Ya, I’m not sure it would work well either. I definitely wouldn’t let Malik Monk go, even if I could trade him straight up for DeMar DeRozan… The Kings seem to have found a special sauce, so I’m worried how new ingredients will effect them. I’d also hate to see them waste Fox and Sabonis the way they wasted DeMarcus Cousins though.

I sort of think you’re reaching here. You might as well throw in hand eye coordination and statistical analysis. The truth is though, trying to use your gambling experience as career skills will mostly likely make you look like an idiot to a recruiter, as the statistics show it’s against you so a critical thinker wouldn’t engage in that behavior…

As a Donator I can tell you that we have our own exclusive section of the forum (which controversially staff members are also able to participate in) and there are a few Donators such as myself that occasionally post things in there. A quick glance at that section looks like TradeFortress was that last VIP to post anything in there.

Kraken closed my account with no notice and no reason given. When I contacted them they told me they couldn’t give me any more information. Pretty shady considering I’ve hardly used the exchange at all in years. As far as I’m concerned, good riddance. I’m also glad I got my mtgox claim transferred to a different exchange.
1447  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I am the creator of Bitcoin on: November 21, 2023, 08:37:17 PM
I, Satoshi Nakamoto, decide to come out of the shadows and tell you about how I created Bitcoin.

The idea was born in 2008, when I was thinking about the problems of existing financial systems. My plan began to take shape and I decided to use the pseudonym Satoshi Nakamoto to preserve my anonymity.

The first lines of code were written in early 2009. I set out to create a decentralized system free from government and bank interference. Mining, blockchain, cryptography - every element was carefully designed.

The first transaction in Bitcoin's history - a transfer of 10 BTC to my own address - occurred on January 12, 2009. It was a small step for the blockchain, but a giant leap into a new era of finance.

Over time, the community began to grow and my role as a creator became an increasingly incredible legend. Today, having decided to step out of the shadows, I'm sharing this story - a story that changed the financial world.

Well, technically you aren’t totally wrong as we are all satoshi now. Well, everyone except Craig Wright who was proven not to be satoshi beyond a reasonable doubt. So ya, everyone is satoshi except Craig Wright. As long as you aren’t Craig Wright, you can call yourself satoshi. I hope this makes you feel better about your claim.

1449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: November 21, 2023, 07:10:34 PM
A lot of close matchups today. I think the only bet I’d feel comfortable making is the Phoenix Suns beating the Portland Trail Blazers in a parlay with the Los Angeles Lakers beating the Utah Jazz. The odds probably aren’t good enough to bother with single bets, but I feel pretty good that both those teams should pull out victories tonight.
1450  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 21, 2023, 08:17:05 AM
Nice to see the Warriors get a win and break their losing streak as the sudden losing streak for the Rockets continues. It’s like the league figured out how to beat them. The story of the night might be LaMelo Ball turning into a bonfire superstar in Charlotte as he helped lead them to a win over the Boston Celtics.
1451  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Argentina Be The Next El Salvador To Accept Bitcoin As Legal Tender? on: November 21, 2023, 01:42:21 AM
He never said that he's planning to make it a legal tender, but there's a good chance that he will, giving his extreme political views. Or maybe he'll find another way to make it easier to use Bitcoin for the population, starting with lowering the regulations on Bitcoin and lowering or even removing taxes. I'm sure that he will do at least something for Bitcoin, and that's already good news even for those who aren't from Argentina, because it will boost the price, especially now that the market will soon turn bullish and all the positive news will get amplified.

He said he was going to end central banking in his country. Sure seems like he’s going to at least consider the possibility of using Bitcoin a la El Salvador. Now that the price is rising again people seem to think that was a good idea for them.

Only bet I would be willing to make is that this contest will continue letting men compete and the event will lose more and more money each year.

Looks like there are 3 games today that should result in easy wins and might make a decent parlay. The Boston Celtics over the Charlotte Hornets, the Milwaukee Bucks over the Washington Wizards, and the Denver Nuggets over the Detroit Pistons. I’d bet them all as a parlay as they’re all heavy favorites and won’t pay out much otherwise.

That Laker game was a close one. I’m glad LeBron made that second free throw to get them the win. After he missed the first I was a bit concerned. After the last matchup with Dillon Brooks I’m glad LeBron got the best of him this time. Crazy close game. Same with the Suns game earlier. Good basketball tonight.

In 52 days a Bitcoin Spot ETF will be approved.
In 151 days the block reward will be cut in half.
In 2024 we will see the return of quantitative easing.
In 2025 we will see the mother of all Bitcoin bubbles.

Are you ready?

Way too slow, 2025 is soooo far away... my hope is that the ciuf ciuf train is leaving the station now. This is my timeline:

In 51 days a new ATH before the ETF
In 150 days 250k before the block cutting
In 2024 FIAT will be considered almost worthless, we will see people rushing into bitcoin and metals
In 2025 we will see the sun of the bitcoin era arise, an utopian world without debt or central banks
In 2026 a solar flare will delete all data on all world PCs
In 2027 we will trascend to a new form of collective consciousness, processing data using the computational power of our collective mind
In 2028 some of us will find that our collective mind is the product of an alien parasite, and form the rebellion that will overpower the aliens and free the umanity
In 2029 we will rebuild our computer and our world. Bitcoin will be the only used currency, my paper wallet (survived from the solar flare and the alien parasitic attack) is now worth the entire European GPD

On the plus side, we’ll only have to wait 51 days to see your prediction is way too fast and optimistic. Wink
1458  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What can happen next time due to a lack of proper knowledge about Bitcoin? on: November 20, 2023, 03:27:12 AM
The worst thing that can happen to people who discover Bitcoin but lack knowledge is to get fooled into investing in shitcoins, thus missing out on their chance at financial freedom and being early to this new paradigm when Bitcoin continues to provide the world real value.

Rockets won 6 in a row and Clippers lost 6 in a row. Most people expect Rockets to win but I thought the exact opposite. This must be the game that both streaks are over. Rockets were close to win the game but Harden said the last word. He played like his Rockets days against Rockets ironically.
This Clippers should be in higher places, since that bad streak is over I believe they'll climb up fast. They promise so much with that roster. Harden is back to normal, Westbrook accepted his bench role, with Kawhi and George they should be in top 5 in the West.
I think his fight against Houston was quite breathtaking. They were very close to beating the Clippers with Paul George, James Harden and Westbrook, and James Harden wrote the fate of the match until the last second. With the last 5-6 seconds left in the game, James Harden took a step back from outside the line and made that three-pointer and won the foul. As I said, Houston could have had a chance for the Rockets if it wasn't for the foul, Houston put up a good fight until the last second of the game. James Harden haunted his former team with this three-pointer.

Harden does this against sub par teams takes advantage when he cans.  Still think this version of the Clippers barely hits .500 on the year, it doesn't seem like a solid team.  Just a bunch of good/star vets and trying to get them to all play well together.  Too many Chiefs if you ask me.

The big loser is Kawhi in all this. He went to form a superteam in LA because he thought they’d win a lot of regular season games and help him maintain his highest winning percentage of all time legacy. Now that legacy is toast and he’s got to be extremely depressed about it. I think he’ll be asking for a trade soon if they don’t start winning a lot in the regular season.

When supply shock

?

A year after the halving like always would be my guess. Takes time for the market to absorb the selling from those who bought to ride up to the halving, then it takes time to break through established resistance. Finally, it takes time for the market to move up once the supply does dry up. Then you get FOMO and a bubble. I’d say those waiting for the top better be prepared to wait until summer of 2025 at least.
