I just had a previous client of mine message me on eBay out of the blue asking why I was trying to take the sale off platform.

I was not messaging this client previously.

Turns out there is a scammer on eBay using my logo and pictures to try to bag my clients off platform.

My client nearly fell for it and got taken off platform and bagged.

I vote to put a headhunt on all scammers. Defend our commerce and marketplace from this filth.

Perhaps the bitcointalk anti-scammer coalition.

The problem with things like that are people will inevitably abuse them for extortion-like purposes. If you don’t believe that, just check my trust ratings…

This story is absolutely insane… I don’t think people are zooming out enough to see just how insane this Biden administration has been. The fact there are so many stories like this in the news and people are worried about Ukraine is absolutely mind blowing to me.

James Harden skipped media day… The 76ers are finding themselves in quite a bind. Will Harden sit out the season? I can’t recall a playing having done that before over contract disputes. Maybe Pippen with his surgery right before the season…

EDIT:
MrBeast sponsoring the Charlotte Hornets is wild…

Outside communications like those on telegram are red flags. I think the more transparent things are, the safer they are and less risky for all involved. The more simple the better.

Freaking awesome.

How awesome Gold Rush is and how Gold produces the Great people.. unlike this wtf this Bljatcoin is sopposed to be.. some digital liquid shit

Gold folks are so freaking legendary !

lol. What? Bljatcoin? Is that a typo or is this a new crazy slang term that’s hitting the streets?

I can understand why you would stay that gold folks are legendary as gold has historically been pretty coveted amongst mankind, but I would also assume that there is significant overlap between gold hoarders and Blijatcoiners.

Wow Boston just landed jrue holiday for a couple picks and so.e bench pieces (I like Robert Williams a lot though).  That's a great pick up from Boston.  Now I need to see the Bucks and Boston play, those games will be fun to watch.

Low key Portland is stacking 2028-20230 first round picks.  If these kids end up good and Blazers are a top team in the west by the end of the decade they are gonna have some serious draft capital to play with.  Great move all around.

Boston management just plain knows what they’re doing when it comes to making trades and signing players. Other than the Gordon Hayward and Kyrie Irving disasters, their record has been phenomenal. This deal puts them back up with the top tier teams in the East. A great pickup for them and a nice side effect to the Lillard trade.
1848  Economy / Gambling / Re: Stake Balance Glitch on: October 01, 2023, 02:36:46 PM
I had $1389. was playing plinko...
I was busy doing something so I was just looking at my balance occasionally to make sure i was still over $1,000...

well, it said I was at $1389
but it then said I didn't have enough funds to make my bet.

If you are using a VPN, then sometimes the internet connection isn’t the greatest and sometimes the balance doesn’t get as updated as frequently as it should. If you’re playing a game like plinko where the balance can change quite a bit very quickly then you have to sometimes pause and let things catch up. I assume that’s what happened here.

First time September was positive since 2016!

There’s definitely a feeling in the market that the last cycle was depressed with fraud and maybe this will be the most explosive cycle yet. I’m not sure if that is what will happen or not, but for now it seems like the downward pressure is starting to subside a little bit as we inch up from here over the $27K level.
1850  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 01, 2023, 02:20:37 AM
I’m seeing reports that Blake Griffin is considering retirement. I thought the last time I saw his name in the news he was working out with the Golden State Warriors to maybe team back up with CP3 for a little bit of Lob City reunion in the Bay. I guess Kerr is deciding that these old guys can’t help the Warriors anymore.
1851  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 125 Pi Cluster Supercomputer on: September 30, 2023, 08:40:49 PM
Congrats on your design and good luck bringing it to fruition. I’ve always wanted to build a cool computer cluster of some kind but I’ve never really been sure what to do with it. Mining was something… Nowadays I guess the obvious would be using it for AI but the only ready built apps I’ve seen to be run off your own cluster are to generate images.
1852  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ban from a Casino for Nothing Other Than Winning Too Much Money on: September 30, 2023, 08:29:17 PM
A casino is free to ban whoever they want for whatever reason they want. I wouldn’t hold it against them if they decided that a single player was getting them really bad in the pocketbook and decided as a result to no longer let them play. Whether it’s the result of their play style or a lucky streak, every run has to come to an end for some reason.
1853  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Too much pressure on the male child on: September 30, 2023, 08:27:24 PM
I think the big problem is that too many young boys grow up without a father figure in their lives to show them how to act like a man. Instead they learn what their friends laugh at or think is cool and they try to be that person. The destruction of the family unit seems to be happening as fast as ever these days, which won’t lead to good things for society down the road.
1854  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: September 30, 2023, 06:56:47 PM
Anything above +1000 is already a value for me.

Based on the odds shared by @inthelongrun, I would easily go with the teams that have already proven themselves in the playoffs. With that said, I'm picking the following teams:

@Warriors
@Lakers
@Clippers (I still have faith in Leonard).
Clippers just don't impress me with Kawhi and Leonard always sitting out or injured. Yes, the new rule should change that up a little, but then you still have Westbrook who can play good but has a lot of bad moments.

You should look up the odds on the Spurs. They tanked and are prob a way better team then what we saw last year. They wanted that lottery pick.

Ya, I think that the Clippers already showed they don’t have what it takes. Paul George and Kawhi isn’t going to get it done. I think the obvious is the Bucks to win it all, but the Suns might surprise some folks as well. Durant and Booker looked pretty good together and with Beal in the mix that offense could be Warrior-like with better athleticism.
1855  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: September 30, 2023, 06:53:55 PM
The great battle for $27K is upon us. I think while looking at charts of the previous 4-years is reason to be excited now, one can’t ignore that there is typically one more big drop before the rocket launches. Do folks think that is in store for us again here? Could the new Antminer be the catalyst as Bitmain starts stacking BTC from orders?
1856  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is gambling all about luck? on: September 30, 2023, 06:51:00 PM
I think that when it comes to gambling there are various levels of luck involved with playing different games, but perhaps the greatest skill one can have is knowing when to walk away. Limiting losses and walking away when you’re ahead is important because eventually everyone loses. Just a matter of time.
1857  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling and it effects on: September 29, 2023, 05:14:55 PM
Your problem was believing that gambling is a way to make money. For 99% of people it isn’t, and the 1% that it is, it boils down to dumb luck most of the time. Gambling should be done for entertainment and when it stops being fun you should stop gambling. Most people would be served well by gambling without any funds at risk and see if they actually enjoy it or if they enjoy the fantasy of riches.
1858  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Changed the game you gamble on? share your story. on: September 29, 2023, 12:49:40 AM
The only gambling game I really enjoy is plinko. I can’t really say why, but it is entertaining. Plus, the odds are usually pretty good so while you won’t win a ton (the way I play) you won’t lose much either. So that’s the classic. I’ll mess around with some other games just to check them out but I usually don’t play for very long.

Looks like Blackrock’s Bitcoin spot ETF application has been delayed and not approved. I don’t think many people thought it would be approve at this moment, but there you have it. Blackrock is going to have to let their application sit on the SEC’s desk like everyone else. I still think mass approval of spot ETFs will happen sometime in the next 6 months.
1860  Economy / Collectibles / Re: "Plagiarism" and Bitcoin Collectibles on: September 28, 2023, 07:52:33 PM
Thats tricky, is one a plagiarised version of the other?

Was the first a plagiarised piece of Kelloggs Corn Flakes?

are both artists in the wrong?

My thinking is that they are different takes on the same idea.

We all know this one and how its been copied and used, was it put out into the public domain
or did the designer just forget about it?

You make a good point that both artists clearly ripped off their designs from the original cereal box. At least one of the artists didn’t use the Kellogg’s branding.

As far as Mick Bruce’s BTC coin is concerned, he did not put it into the public domain or forget about it. The mint he used to create them lied to him and ripped off his designs without his permission. Although, his design is so famous now, I’m not sure if it ended up being a good or bad thing. He was screwed out of a ton of $, but is now a legend.

(My mint tried to do something similar with my BTC Binary rounds, which Mick ironically also designed, but I refused.)
