I got another multi bet today with the Nuggets and the Mavericks winning. Feels like I’m on a bit of a hot streak even though I’m not exactly breaking the bank on the odds. I have been trying a lot of my bets recently to Tyson Fury winning his boxing match this weekend in order to boost the odds a bit. Hopefully he comes through.

Hey sports enthusiasts,

We've got two games coming up tomorrow, and here are the betting spreads:

Sixers @ Bucks: -6.5
Suns @ Lakers: -5.5

As you've probably noticed, the Lakers are now heavy favorites at -5.5. This line was initially set at just -1.5 for the Lakers, but that changed due to the news about Booker, who's doubtful to play due to a foot injury. It doesn't seem to be a severe injury, but he's likely resting for this game. Do you think Durant can lead his team to a victory?

You can check  my previous post for the details.

I'm leaning towards picking the Lakers to win and cover the spread. They're coming off a tough loss on the road, and this game marks their home opener against an undermanned Phoenix team. There doesn't seem to be a compelling reason why they can't secure the victory.

While we all know Durant is a superstar but he is not anymore on his prime, while the Lakers with their full squad are in full strength. I believe the Suns' offense may struggle to keep up with the Lakers. My prediction is that the Lakers will win and cover the spread as they might win by double digit.

I went the other way and picked the Suns +7.5. They still have Durant and I’m expecting an epic LeBron/Durant matchup. Not to mention it isn’t set in stone that Booker and Beal aren’t playing yet, and if they do play I think the Suns are the favorites, so it seems like a decent bet. I also added in a Bucks win because I think they’re going to be better than expected this year.

Got another one! So far this season I’ve been profitable on my bets every day. Had the Raptors not beaten the Timberwolves the other day I’d be a perfect winner so far. Will this luck streak continue? Probably not, but we have another day ahead of us today with some good games to throw in another multi bet parlay.
1643  Economy / Speculation / Re: Buying at 35k? on: October 27, 2023, 02:26:56 PM
Buying now after the price has more than doubled from the bottom and we’ve just had a significant rally shows some real confidence. Long term I’m certain it’s a good buy point, but for traders I can understand why they would be hesitant and awaiting a pullback. At some point the dips stop happening and we launch though.
1644  Other / Politics & Society / Re: The common saying Health is wealth on: October 27, 2023, 07:04:20 AM
It’s a common saying for a good reason… It is a good saying that applies to many things. Most often people take it to be about their physical health and relate it to not only medical costs, but the ability to enjoy things later in life. All the money in the world sometimes doesn’t mean a thing when you are unable to hike to see the beautiful view.
1645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 27, 2023, 06:17:56 AM
In the Lakers first game against the Denver Nuggets, you can see the Lakers playing like they are in a rebuilding process can't see any chemistry. They really need Dennis Schroder. Reaves and Russell are not that consistent, and I can't see any chemistry when these two guys are on the floor. Look at how Dennis Schroder right now carrying the Raptors. But fuck, the Raptors ruined my parlay. Lmao 🤣

ill also pick Lakers since D book & Beal will not play tonight.

A complete turn around for LeBron and the Los Angeles Lakers to turn the game on its head, Kevin Durant had 39 points for the Phoenix Suns, but that wasn't enough to help them extend their winning streak to 2 of 2 to start the season.

The Suns couldn't find any bucket for almost all the entirety of the 4th Quarter they could only make 3 points for close to over 10 mins, and Kevin Durant had to take things personal but ended up making some really awful shot decision with the game still very much open, and all tied, he decided to go for an unnecessary 3 point attempt which didn't fall and made the Lakers take charge of the game.

Just when it seemed like Durant was going to get the better of this legendary meetup, LeBron came through down the stretch and helped will the Lakers to a victory. This is much less impressive when you know that the Suns had two of their best players out with an injury, but I think it was a great showing. Not to mention the Suns covered the spread.
1646  Economy / Speculation / Re: 2023 end game sentiment check on: October 26, 2023, 09:00:49 PM
I answered that we will go sideways because I don’t think we’ll be making a run for the all time high until after the halving. However, I do believe we will continue to drift upwards as big banks continue to stack coins in preparation for their exchange traded funds. So by sideways I mean we’ll likely drift upwards to end the year around the $40K level.
1647  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: October 26, 2023, 08:42:26 PM
The press conference was entertaining thanks to Tyson’s crazy Dad and Mike Tyson being Mike Tyson. I actually think that will probably be the most entertaining part of this fight. After seeing footage of Francis boxing, I’m pretty confident he’s in way over his head. Unless he was releasing faked footage, this fight is going to be incredibly one sided.

A couple of great games on today. First you have the 76ers against the Bucks. I think Damian Lillard and Giannis will be too much for the Soxers to deal with… Then you have the Lakers and Suns. I’m expecting the Suns to go 2-0 while the Lakers fall to 0-2. This will be a good test for the Suns though, as their new big man gets to go toe to toe with Anthony Davis.
1650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: October 26, 2023, 05:52:50 AM
The story of the day for me was Zion making his debut after another long injury recovery. He didn’t do bad, putting up 23 points and 7 rebounds. I would have thought that they would beat the Grizzlies by more considering Memphis is without their starting pg and center, but at least Zion was able to help deliver his team a win.

I’m going for an easy (lol) parlay today hoping to cash in on a second multi bet for the second day of the season. Here’s the winners I’m going with.

Celtics over Knicks
Heat over Pistons
Timberwolves over Raptors
Kings over Jazz
Mavericks over Spurs
Clippers over Trailblazers

Would be difficult to hit that many games so early in the season with so much unknown, but those were the picks I felt comfortable making today.

I was so close to hitting this parlay. Absolutely ridiculous that the Minnesota Timberwolves lost to the Toronto Raptors by 3 points. My streak is ended on the second day of the season. Would have been one hell of a hit though. I think the odds were 13:1 or something like that. The Wolves fg% absolutely lost the game for them.
1652  Economy / Speculation / Re: 127% Up from Bottom in 2022 on: October 25, 2023, 10:36:12 PM
The price increase has been impressive given the market’s size. I’m personally pretty happy at the current levels but was growing concerned when we fell below he previous all time high around $20,000. Hopefully that was just a fluke because of FTX & covid. It would be nice if we saw another bubble in 2025 with a predictable blow off top.
1653  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Dangerous chasing losses on: October 25, 2023, 10:31:55 PM
If you believe in the idea of luck or going on runs, then you should also know not to chase losses. When you’re hot you’re hot and when you’re not… I was taught when it comes to investing (and maybe applies to gambling a little bit) to let your winners run long and cut your losers short. Basically, if you’re losing then stop and if you’re winning keep going (although in the end given enough time everyone loses).

Speaking of the best players in the league. Shams Charania is reporting that the 2024 NBA All Star game will return to the East vs West format. I think this is important for the future of the All Star game if they want to start tying finals incentives like home court advantage to the outcome of the All Star games to up competitiveness.
1656  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: October 25, 2023, 09:46:37 PM
monthly candle looks impressive rn... let's see where it closes

Even more impressive when you consider the traditional stock market’s performance. We’re finally seeing the divergence we’ve been hoping for. Now to see how long it lasts and if can persist through a recession. So far so good though. All signs point to a bull season right around the corner. Make sure you buy all you want in 2024 because the fomo in 2025 if this continues will be insane.
1657  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why has Bitcoin skyrocketed recently? on: October 25, 2023, 03:47:19 PM
There are a few things at play here. The catalyst I would say being that the Blackrock ETF listing to customers is basically an admission they know it’s going to be approved so people are buying the rumor to sell the news. Another big factor at play is the season we’re in. Since I’ve been in Bitcoin, the time around Halloween has always been incredibly bullish, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see this rally run for a couple weeks.

After receiving his ring last night, DeAndre Jordan showed it off to a reported and detailed some of the hidden features in the ring. While spinning the founding date to the championship date shows gold in a cool way, the real unique feature in my opinion though is being able to slide out a less flashy ring to wear. Check it out in the below link.

1659  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin’s long-term investors own over 76% of all BTC for the first time on: October 25, 2023, 01:29:05 PM
This number will continue to rise for many reasons. The biggest two probably being that people tend to lose their private keys resulting in what looks like coins being held by long term investors, and also the rise in exchange traded funds will surely result in coins being taken off the market and held in cold storage on behalf of investors.
1660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tyson Fury vs Francis Ngannou Boxing October 28 on: October 25, 2023, 01:27:15 PM
With the odds paying out so small for Tyson Fury, it’s hardly worth betting on. I think even with Tyson being the massive favorite and in my opinion will be the winner, betting on Francis Ngannou is a more attractive bet just because there’s at least the chance of a decent payout. This just doesn’t seem like a good event to bet on unless you’re pairing it with another bet.
