1381  Economy / Gambling / Re: Top Halloween Online Casino Bonus or Promo on: November 28, 2023, 07:16:28 PM
A bit late in the year to be keeping the Halloween bonus thread alive. Perhaps you should consider renaming the topic to Top Christmas (or End Of Year) Online Casino Bonus or Promo… That or maybe start a new thread and let this one fall into the abyss if it’s possible for it to stop being bumped.

Go go go BTC

39K In one hour

With the current trajectory, we'll be cutting it close but I'm cheering for bitcoin Smiley

I was a bit surprised to wake up to a greater than $38K BTC price this morning. It seems like no matter what news comes out Bitcoin is just going to keep rallying. Feels like it is going to end the year above the $40K mark which in itself might be enough to get some people off the sidelines and into the market once the total year performance is in the books.
1383  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 28, 2023, 05:25:41 PM
A bunch of in-season tournament games today and a couple of them will be aired on TNT for Chuck and the crew to give commentary on. First up is the Miami Heat vs the Milwaukee Bucks. Then you have a rematch of last year’s playoff battle between the Golden State Warriors and the Sacramento Kings which I think will be a good one.
1384  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 27, 2023, 11:12:03 PM
I just saw an interesting fact. Tonight LeBron James is going to pass Kareem for the most career minutes played in NBA history. A pretty huge accomplishment.
1385  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 27, 2023, 09:13:21 PM
No televised games today but we do have a couple interesting ones. The two worst teams in the league are facing off to see who the absolute worst team in the league is. The Detroit Pistons and the Washington Wizards are both 2-14… I think Detroit likely has an edge with this matchup though because Jordan Poole has been playing so streaky…
1386  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 27, 2023, 08:53:23 PM
I wouldn't be surprised if we get another leg up to 41k-44k before having a major correction.

Yeah but we enter in the last month when so many people start to close thei portfolios and start to make the accounts, and look if they where on  profit or losing money, so they are gonna take some profit and close the year. So for me we can see a mayor correction right now to 30/31 k.

I see someone looking for coins at a cheaper price.

We are not going to correct until we get quite a bit higher than 36-38k

I think we could see a correction if the mtgox coins are distributed in the near term. Won’t really matter what the price is to a lot of those folks. Many will just want to immediately sell. That will have to force the market down a bit. It will be short lived though. I think nothing is going to hold this market down over the next 18 months though. The end of this ride is in six figure territory.

buddy be bopping along.

hey jjg my gpus are whaling. pulling in a goodly amount of btc.

nicehash and kawpow directly mining to btc.

ai has pulled a ton of gpus off nicehash so the alts are waking back up.

plus paid for heat in my house win win.

The cold weather and mining profitability seem to be giving a little gift here. I had to fire up the old GPUs after being a bit chilly this morning. Just for shits and giggles I checked the profitability and wouldn’t you know it, I have 3+ year old GPUs that are once again printing money and keeping me warm in the winter. I love Bitcoin.
1388  Economy / Goods / Re: ~ Buying a TESLA CYBERTRUCK with BITCOIN ~ on: November 27, 2023, 04:08:01 AM
As we get closer to the Cybertruck delivery event this week, there’s been video released this week showing a feature I was hoping the Cybertruck would have. “Raise to start” lets you lower your Cybertruck when you turn it off and then it lifts up the suspension when you start it. Sort of like an old low rider. Only a couple more days until we get the full unveil.

The Bucks just pulled off a nice comeback win over the Trail Blazers. They were down by 13 entering the fourth quarter but it was no problem for Dame and the squad to outscore the Trail Blazers 33 to 14 in the final quarter to secure the win. Giannis was no slouch either, as him and Dame both scored more than 30 points each.
1390  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How Many Bets to Know How Good Enough You Are? on: November 26, 2023, 09:29:47 PM
As others have stated, winning percentage isn’t a great metric of whether or not someone is a good gambler. It’s quite possible to have a high winning percentage and still lose money. The real skill lies in the ability to see opportunities and pounce on them when they arrive. That is easier said than done for most though.
1391  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Stand with Dublin and ireland on: November 26, 2023, 09:28:00 PM
I don’t blame Ireland in that they are fed up with what is happening to their country. Unfortunately, this is the way of the world right now and so far countries haven’t been able to resist the rush of immigrants and all the things they bring with them. Globalism is real and developed nations are likely to face a lower standard of living going forward as a result.
1392  Economy / Speculation / Re: High transaction fees affects those who DCA on: November 26, 2023, 04:44:50 PM
As long as you trust your exchange I don’t see any immediate need to withdraw. Certainly if transaction fees are a concern then withdrawing once every could weeks or even monthly is probably not a big deal. In times like now where there is uncertainty I wouldn’t want to be storing funds on Binance, but in normal times there’s not a huge risk in leaving a couple weeks of DCA on an exchange.
1393  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Combination of the young age correlated with Bitcoin for the future on: November 26, 2023, 04:42:49 PM
Bitcoin and time presents a unique challenge for people. Sure, if you are willing to hold Bitcoin for 8 years or more it is extremely likely that it will benefit you financially. However, people don’t live forever and things can happen. So owning Bitcoin is a constant game of wanting more wealth later or to live better now. Make a choice you won’t regret.
1394  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Was This Client Kidnapped for Their Coins? on: November 26, 2023, 04:40:33 PM
Crazy story. I question if there’s really someone out there that would put a $2,500 deposit down with a stranger they met on telegram for a writing project, but I guess crazier things have happened. This is a good example of how escrow could have gotten the seller their full payment after the disappearance of the buyer, but again, seems like a bit of a tale to me.
1395  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Closing Central Bank is Non-negotiable says pro-bitcoin Argentina Pres Milei on: November 26, 2023, 02:44:17 PM
I know it's been said here and several other places across the internet and probably in print too but this is more then likely going to be a disaster for Argentina.
The US central bank (Federal Reserve) is designed and setup to help the US. Not Argentina or any other country. You can't just go along for the ride. They FR can and will do things that are great for the US economy they can and will do things that may be not great for the US economy and everything in between.

How it will effect Argentina's economy is not important to them and if they do something that is good for the US but sinks Argentina into a decade of financial ruin. Then well it sucks to be them not our problem.

-Dave

Interesting take. I thought everybody was looking forward to seeing Argentina ditch the central bank to find their own solution. It has so far seemingly worked well for El Salvador, so Argentina has a guide to show them how they could be successful adoption Bitcoin as their national currency. I think predicting total disaster may be premature.
1396  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 26, 2023, 02:40:41 PM
Our chart buddy hasn’t moved too much over the last several days. Hopefully tomorrow as a new week kicks off people are a little more in the trading mood. With all the price excitement lately we probably needed a little cool down, especially since we haven’t seen much of a correction yet, but that just shows the current strength of the market.
1397  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 26, 2023, 02:37:52 PM
Doesn’t look like we have any nationally televised games today but there are a few matchups that might make for a decent parlay. I like the Bucks over the Trail Blazers. The Timberwolves over the Grizzlies and the Nuggets over the Spurs. No surprises with those picks but I think together they might be a decent play for the day.
1398  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 26, 2023, 12:09:41 AM
buddy be flat lining

378..
378..
378..

It does seem that way. Maybe whoever is snatching up everyone’s coins had a buy price at that level for the holiday weekend. I was surely expecting more talk around the recent mtgox distribution letter to cause some volatility. Maybe next week will heat up as we move into end of the year rally territory.
1399  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 26, 2023, 12:07:11 AM
Shout out to my knicks.  I almost turned the game off but figured it was an inseason tourny game watch to the end.  Down 21 in the third and 17 in the 4th they locked down Jimmy buckets all 4th quarter.  Held Miami to 11 or 12 points all quarter and rampages theor way back to a win at the garden.  Best win of the year so far for them.  Team looks tight.

That was a close game the other night. Nice to see Randle making a few shots after starting off the season with one of the lowest field goal shooting percentages in modern basketball history. They showed they can play with good teams when they have it together. I wouldn’t doubt them making the playoffs this year.
1400  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: November 26, 2023, 12:03:24 AM
It was a success I have gotten a great perfect win for yesterday's game in the NBA In-Season Tournament,

New York Knicks (1.39) VS Miami Heat (2.76) - WIN

It was a close game for these two teams and I thought that the Miami Heat could win, I was at the edge of my seat wishing that the New York Knicks could win the game as Bam Adebayo had a great performance for this game but they still ended up losing it and Jimmy Butler again turned into the son of Michael Jordan for this game, but end up losing this the New York Knicks got a great check on reality for them Julius Randle, RJ Barrett, Immanuel Quickley, and Jalen Brunson manage in winning in this tight game,

Toronto Raptors (1.57) VS Chicago Bulls (2.78) - WIN

It was a solid shake-up and a dominant performance for the Toronto Raptors as from start to finish they took up all quarters leading the game, and Zach LaVine was the only player who kept the Chicago Bulls on their feet with his lead of 36 points for this game, but the Raptors score spread has proven that they were effective in making the points and LaVine was late in exploding his score for this game, Pascal Siakam, Dennis Schroder, Gary Trent Jr. and OG Anunoby got a tremendous lead for this game,

Milwaukee Bucks (1.22) VS Washington Wizards (5.50) - WIN

This game was a close one as the Washington Wizard won the 1st half of the game and ended this game with the score spread on Kyle Kuzma, Jordan Poole, Tyus Jones, Corey Kispert, and Landry Shamet but it was a dominant lead and performance when it comes in the 2nd half when the Milwaukee Bucks suddenly explode their score giving Damian Lillard great gameplay for the team as they are now making progress with the chemistry thing, with Brook Lopez leading the score,

Indiana Pacers (1.29) VS Detroit Pistons (3.60) - WIN

It was an Indiana Pacers all the way as the Pistons Cade Cunnigham did a great thing in getting this team to pull themselves together but it was just that and the Pacers were working with their teamwork with Tyrese Haliburton in charge with making the team play, it was a great success for sure,

Nice job. I don’t think any of those picks were too risky or controversial but it’s still a great thing to hit a multi leg parlay like that. Especially with 4 games. I would have been a little concerned about betting against the Bulls but it clearly paid off for you here. I’m guessing their team moral is taking a hit with all the latest trade discussions.
