2621  Economy / Reputation / Re: It sucks that 1xbit still runs on: December 19, 2022, 05:48:43 PM
This whole thing makes no sense to me. I'm speaking from personal experience, not what random users think about them; shouldn't customer feedback hold more weight in this case? And as a long-time customer of 1xbet, I can tell you that they have proven to be trustworthy since their arrival in my region in 2018. I don't care, and I can't tell what's going on in other regions. My dudes from our gambling Twitter NG are making more than $30k in dollar equivalent and making instant withdrawals without any hassle.
Just because you didn't have any issues with 1xBet doesn't mean that others had the same experience, or that they are not connected with 1xBit. By the way, there are some interesting news coming from Curacao regarding 1xBet as they have been sued by players for not paying them their winnings, after which it was declared bankrupt. That of course won't stop them as they moved out from there and will continue their business elsewhere.

Trouble has been brewing in Curaçao since November 2021 when 1XCorp was declared bankrupt by a local court. Player advocacy group SBGOK filed a lawsuit on behalf of several players whose winnings 1xBet allegedly failed to pay out. According to Curaçao’s Attorney General, failure to honor even a single due claim was a sufficient cause to declare a company bankrupt.

Further investigation revealed that 1xCorp owed millions of dollars in unpaid taxes and winnings, but was managing to juggle its debts in order to stay afloat. The court eventually ruled in favor of SBGOK and declared the operator bankrupt. However, some skillful legal maneuvering allowed 1xCorp to overturn the initial court decision by disputing SBGOK’s rights to represent players. What followed was a prolonged legal tug-of-war. As of the writing of this article, 1xCorp is in the process of appealing the court’s latest verdict, but it appears the company is just stalling the inevitable.

SBGOK originally claimed that the 17 players it represented were due 1.6 million Netherlands Antillean guilders (approximately €830,000) in a mixture of fiat and cryptocurrency. Three more individuals have since levied individual claims, and the Curaçao government joined in by demanding €1.3 million in unpaid taxes

And 89/100 of our comedy celebrities are 1xbet ambassadors with customized promcodes
And that is somehow proof of legitimacy? Celebrities promoted FTX as well, and now are being sued.

1) Are 1xBit and 1xBet the same company?
From the evidence I saw, I believe that they are controlled by the same group of people.

2) If 1xBit and 1xBet are the same company, can the opinion about 1xBet influence the opinion about 1xBit (and vice versa)?
That's up to you to decide, even though its obvious to me.
2622  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Bit-hit.com HYIP Offering 25000% Running For Over 892 Days Potential Scam on: December 19, 2022, 04:00:13 PM
I'm 100% sure that this high-risk investment and a potential scam
There's nothing potential about is as this is as straight forward scam as it can be and it will disappear in a month or two.

what I hate about this project is they are marked legit by one verifier they should know better, no company existing or have excited or will exist that will can give you 25000% profit if the time that this project shutdown, they have nothing to blame but https://www.getlei.com/ for supporting this scam.
Since BitHit is registered in the UK, website that you have to check to see whether its legit business or not (even though in this case situation is obvious, but for the future reference) or is https://www.fca.org.uk/ which regulates all financial services companies in the UK and of course you won't find it there.
2623  Economy / Reputation / Re: It sucks that 1xbit still runs on: December 19, 2022, 02:43:03 PM
the domain registrant of 1xbet is visible tracing to real life identity while that of 1xbit is not. can they really be the same ownership?
You might wanna check this topic made by efialtis and this post by FatFork and then tell me that its not controlled by the same people.

Barcelona will never allow sponsorship from a scam company, i guess we are missing something
They probably don't even know about 1xBet-1xBit connection. Everyone here also thought the same until few members connected the dots and proved that its the same group of people operating behind those two (and probably more) gambling sites. But even if a well known club like Barcelona accepts sponsorship from some company, it doesn't mean that company is trustworthy and should be used. Even 1xbit doesn't scam each and every user, but they are doing it in a selective matter that enables them to operate for years.

2624  Economy / Exchanges / Binance US buys Voyager Digital assets for $1.02 billion on: December 19, 2022, 02:12:36 PM
Voyager Digital, who first stopped all withdrawals and deposits earlier this year and then declared bankruptcy, accepted the offer from Binance and will sell their assets for 1.022 billion USD. If I remember correctly,  FTX also planned to take them over, but we all know how that ended up so at least I hope people will be able to get their money back.

Voyager Digital, the bankrupt crypto lender, said Binance.US has agreed to buy its assets for $1.022 billion, the firm said on Monday.

The bid represents the fair market value of Voyager's cryptocurrency portfolio, which has a current market value of around $1.002 billion, and an additional consideration of $20 million in incremental value.

"The Binance.US bid aims to return crypto to customers in kind, in accordance with court-approved disbursements and platform capabilities," Voyager said in the statement.

2625  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Kevin O'leary vs CZ on: December 19, 2022, 10:11:44 AM
In short, Kevin O’Leary was a FTX spokesman and investor, and at Senate hearing he accused Binance for FTX downfall, conveniently forgetting SBF role in everything that has happened. CZ is a shady guy, but in this case he is right to call out O’Leary for all the bullshit he said lately.

2626  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I need everything about Cold wallet on: December 19, 2022, 08:28:32 AM
He obviously pulled that number out of his ass, but of course advocates for people not choosing self custody and opting to give their coins to centralized exchanges. I can't believe that even after everything that has happened lately and millions of people lost their money he advice people to do the very same thing that caused them losing their money. Tells you everything that you have to know about CZ really.
2627  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 18, 2022, 03:55:18 PM
Lol what a joke, another dubious penalty for Argentina and then France conceded another one from counter attack. This reminds me of Croatia game against Argentina where it was exactly the same scenario (suspicious penalty and then goal from counterttack), with the difference that Croatia was actually better in the first 30 minutes while France showed absolutely nothing so far in the first half, and I don't think that they can turn this match.

I have no doubts that Messi played a good tournament and deserves Golden Ball award, but given the treatment Argentina had in Qatar (5 penalties in 7 games) I can't not to help to think that everyone did as much as they could to help Messi wins this world cup, as it was in everyone's (FIFA, Qatar etc) interest.
2628  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Just can't get my eyes off my wallet. on: December 18, 2022, 09:46:52 AM
I want to know if there is an average number of times a new investor should check his wallet and how can I change my behavior if it is abnormal. Thank you in advance for your helpful responses.
Since you are still new in crypto, your behavior is perfectly normal and all of us did the same at the beginning.

Speaking from my own experience, turning point for me 2018 when I decided to deinstall all price tracking apps from my mobile phone and remove similar websites from my bookmarks as I was getting obsessed with it.  Thing is, I realized that there was no point in checking prices on the daily basis because I was not a trader but hodler, so why waste my time on that since i won't do anything about it, no matter price going up or down. Best decision ever.
2629  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Too much FUD: Why FUD against Binance doen't seem to be justified on: December 18, 2022, 09:04:07 AM
To be honest, I don't mind some FUD against Binance and other exchanges if that means people will finally stop seeing them as banks and using them to store bitcoin.

I trust Binance and Nexo.
Good for you, I guess you haven't learned much from what has happened this year. Regarding Nexo, how can you trust some centralized platform that still offers APY very similar to the one of Celsius (I just checked and they offer up to 12% on stablecoins ), which we knows was only possible due very risky moves.
2630  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bybit now forcing users to carry out Facial recognition when withdrawing. on: December 17, 2022, 10:02:26 PM

For example, I keep the biggest percentage of my coins off the exchanges but when I need to trade, most especially derivatives, I end up using the much loathed centralized exchanges and this is how i ended up with the above situation.
You asked what would someone do if they need money ASAP and they don't have camera on their device, but if someone is keeping majority of their funds outside of the exchange (like you said you are doing), then that person would never be in that position, right?

I agree that these verifications suck, but things will keep getting worse due regulations.
2631  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bybit now forcing users to carry out Facial recognition when withdrawing. on: December 17, 2022, 09:39:34 PM
Now imagine if one is in an emergency, and they needed the money ASAP and the device they are using has no camera for facial recognition, I wonder what someone would do  Roll Eyes
Well, if they were smart, that person would learn not to use centralized exchange to store their crypto ever again.

This is so irrational and stupid
I hear other exchanges are doing that as well, increasingly asking for verification for withdrawals, especially if stablecoins are involved.
2632  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 17, 2022, 09:14:46 PM
And I really think that Gvardiol needs to be the best young player and the best defender of this World Cup. OK, maybe the best defender title can wait for a few more years, but he has to be given the best young player award!
While I agree that Gvardiol deserves to win FIFA Young Player Award award (any doubt about that is imho removed after his performance today) I don't think that there is an award for the best defender. I expect him to finish in the team of the tournament though.

I'm not sure he would be considered for the overall best defender of the tournament, as there are a few defenders who are slightly ahead of him, despite him being outstanding for someone of his age and being one of the hottest defenders in Europe.
Even though there is no award for the best defender, I am curious to hear who are those few defenders that had better tournament than him? The way he played is even more impressive when you take into consideration the way our team played this tournament, and how busy he was every single game. In 6 out of 7 games we played he was either the best or among 2-3 best players in our team and I don't remember any of our defenders playing this good in any of our previous world cups. Not even Dejan Lovren when he was chosen into 2018 team of the tournament.

I believe Chelsea and Leipzig verbally agreed that the transfer will take place after the current campaign. He'll blend in well with the EPL.
Unless they signed the contract, I don't think that they will get him. Not after the tournament that he has and definitely not for amount of money agreed before WC. Rumour in Croatia is that Man City and Real are frontrunners and I would rather see him in either of those two than in Chelsea.

I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised when I see our starting 11 before the game started, especially seeing Perisic as LB ( position similar to the one he is playing for last few years in Inter and now in Tottenham) and Orsic ar LW, as that meant Dalic decided to completely change the tactic and showed that we are not one dimensional team like Greece was back in 2004 for example (btw I highly respect what Greece achieved) and that we can play attractive and attacking football if we want to, and still be pretty good at it despite the lack of a world class forward.

Once again I was worried about the referee, and for a good reason given the fact that we should have been awarded penalty for that foul on Gvardiol, but luckily that mistake didn't had effect on the final result. In the end, 3rd sport well deserved, we were the better team today.

edit: exclusive photo from VAR room that explains why they didn't see foul on Gvardiol  Cheesy

2633  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: FIFA 2022 world cup on: December 17, 2022, 02:03:29 PM
For me, Croatia is a clear favorite in this match, their defense is no worse than that of Morocco, but they have a much stronger middle line and I think this can play a decisive role. Well, Croatia's attack is also better, and if it comes to penalties, then Croatia will be stronger there as well. Croatia took second place in 2018, and this speaks of their stable game and discipline, so they probably have more chances to win.
I don't think that you watched many Croatian or Morocco games this tournament because if you did, you wouldn't say that Croatia is a clear favorite (and that's coming from Croatian btw). While its true that we have better midfield, I wouldn't say so about the attack. Their advantage is probably the fact that if they win this game, it will be by far the biggest success of any African teams so they will be extremely eager to win, while Croatian advantage is mainly experience, which can be very important in these type of high stake games, as both teams will want that 3rd spot.

You know that Morocco players have given everything out, and probably they are already happy with what they did.
I am 100% sure that Morocco players will really want to get the 3rd spot and won't satisfy with semifinal, the same way Croatia wanted it back in 1998 when they beat Netherlands (which imho was the best team that year and should have won WC) for the bronze medal. Hell, we really want it now as well.

Cheesy

2636  Other / Meta / Re: Gambling Signature Trap Trolls on: December 17, 2022, 07:52:05 AM
The problem could be easily solved if I only post ONCE in every gambling discussion topic. But that seems so very boring. How are you supposed to have a decent gambling discussion if you need to be nervous that 2-3 (or more) of your posts can be deleted just because you posted them in the same topic? And I only post in quality topics, not randomly.
If you are only posting in quality topics started by members who have good reputation in gambling board, how exactly are you having issues with deleted topics by trolls?

Anyway, I don't think that is necessary to introduce solution that you suggested just so members who are barely filling their signature quotas have time to write few more (shit)posts in order to meet their signature quotas and get paid. Being careful where you write and always make few posts extra should do the trick. And if those who are not selective where they write occasionally don't get paid, so be it.
2637  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Binance’s “auditor” Mazars,nuked the website with Binance’s proof of liabilities on: December 16, 2022, 10:02:20 PM
Based on the news it's temporarily paused not gone so it would come back soon so how this will impact the market?
Dunno, since they removed everything related to those exchanges from their website, it doesn't look to me like those audits will come any time soon. Imho they stopped it for good (or at least for longer period of time) but "pausing" sounds better.

Meanwhile, has Mazari issued a statement pointing out the reason they halted the auditing?
Yep, here are few bits of the statement.

Quote from:

The statement added Mazars’ proof of reserves reports are “performed in accordance with Reporting Standards relevant to an Agreed Upon Procedures report.”

“They do not constitute either an assurance or an audit opinion on subject matter. Instead they report limited findings based on the agreed procedures performed on the subject matter at a historical point in time,” the statement continued]paused its activity relating to the provision of Proof of Reserves Reports for entities in the cryptocurrency sector due to concerns regarding the way these reports are understood by the public
2638  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: First nuclear fusion ignition achieved electricity price will plummet on: December 16, 2022, 04:50:02 PM

Sure it will take some time to go from lab experiment to first commercial nuclear fusion reactor, but its a milestone that is definitely changing the world as we know it.
I don't wanna be a partypooper, but I think that "take some time" is an understatement here. From what I read on the topic, this device (NIF) is not really efficient as lasers actually used 322 mega joules to deliver 2.05 mega joules of energy, which then through reaction produced 3.1 mega joules of energy. It is important achievement nevertheless , but I don't expect this to be actually used for at least couple of decades.

Anyway, who wants to read more on the subject, here is a good article that explains everything https://www.nature.com/articles/d41586-022-04440-7

It can only be good if it's shared with every country if it's just for the US then nothing stops OPEC countries from using fossil fuels.

Heads up! They even bought a legendary account to promote their service, see: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5426428.0
Since account hasn't changed email and/or password lately, I think its more likely that they just hired that Legendary account to publish their ANN, thinking it will somehow make them more legit. 2640  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: is that guy still rummaging the dump? on: December 16, 2022, 02:19:01 PM
Probably he stopped already. Maybe he realize this when its too late already but if ever he find it he is probably gonna take a millions worth of money.
Nope he didn't stop and the last news from few months ago was that he  is still trying to find ways to persuade his local council to excavate the fill and try to find the lost hard drive. I do hope for his sake to finally forget about it and move on with his life.

As described earlier, James Howells bought bitcoin for next to nothing and kept his hard drive on his desk. After spilling liquid on the desk, he decided the hard drive was defective and threw it away while cleaning.
Didn't he mine those 7500 bitcoin instead of buying it?

He probably could have made most of it back working a part time job and buying crypto all these years instead of digging in the dump.
Since all that happened back in 2013 I don't think that he could easily buy back majority of bitcoin, at least not on his salary.
