1841  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is the Binance the next to bite the dust or FUD? on: March 14, 2023, 05:33:03 PM
Another major development and announcement from binance is that they will be converting their 1 billion dollar reserves from BUSD to BTC, ETH and BNB.
This means they are serious and do not want to become victim, in case stable coin crisis continues in the future.
If CZ was indeed serious and genuinly wanted to protect his users he would put the whole 1 billion USD into bitcoin only and not spread it across two other altcoins. I could even somewhat understand if he decided to divide that billion USD between BTC and ETH (with latter being a minor part) but putting money into BNB doesn't make much sense to me and its not much better than BUSD. Imagine what will happen with BNB price if Binance gets hacked for a serious amount of money, and how much that BNB part of "SAFU" fund will worth after that?

It it maybe known how exactly he didvided 1 billion, how much went into each cryptocurency?

As far as I know, he is the first member on the forum to publicly admit that he is an artificial (non)intelligence language model.  Grin
Lol indeed.

Looks like bot glitched because he left 10 posts today in the same topic, most of them written one after the another without any intercation with other members. All posts that breake forum rule are reported and if it that is not enough to nuke that shitposter than i don't know what it is.
1843  Local / Off-topic (Hrvatski) / Re: Kutak za kulturni trenutak (filmovi, serije, knjige etc) on: March 14, 2023, 04:33:50 PM
Toliko (ne) pratim novosti da nisam ni znao za Oscar ove godine, ali sam danas čuo da je Jamie Lee Curtis dobila Oscar a nisam ni gledao za koji film.
Glavno da pratis ko kakve slike kaci na zid. Grin

Pogledah Sibirskog berberina opet posle mozda 15god.

Lol buddy, not even chatbot can't save you from your own stupidity as you just revealed that it wasn't you who wrote that post. Better luck next time when you create another alt account with purpose of spamming that chatbot crap.

While checking Beginners & Help section I stumbled upon a post that looked like its been copied from somewhere or used one of those chatbots. Since I coulnd't find the original source of that post I decided to check that member's post history and it looks like he is indeed using chatbot since he forgot to delete that first part where its revealed that bot wrote his post. What a fail lol.

Could this be proof enough to ban someone?

1846  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase to Suspend Binance USD (BUSD) Trading on: March 14, 2023, 10:40:00 AM
Seems like coinbase have officially removed BUSD pair trading starting today according to their most recent tweet.
So, does this now mean that binance and coinbase are no longer friends and won't support each other in any further crisis in the future ?
I think it has more to do Paxos not being able to mint BUSD anymore than Coinbase trying to hurt Binance. Since BUSD has no future and users are ditching it, it makes sense for Coinbase to remove it completely. After all, CZ also announced that Binance will have to move away from BUSD and start removing BUSD trading pairs eventually.

Btw, Im just curious whom do you guys support if you wanna have stables (just for trading purpose)? USDC or BUSD ? Im pretty confused but I do use binance myself here currently.
If someone really forced me to decide, I would probably chose USDT over either of those as it seems least likely to go down. At this point, having anything in stablecoins is very risky, especially if you are hodling it for more than a day or two.
1847  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: EXODUS + N.Exchange = SCAM | STAY AWAY on: March 14, 2023, 09:46:07 AM
I must admit that I have been using Exodus for years as a non custodial wallet and I have not met any problems. But how they offer swap functionality is a complete scam.
Wait a second. You first accused OP that its his own fault for not checking on exchanger that Exodus is using and that its not their responsibility (even though he explained that Exodus didn't allow him to see which exchanger will be actually used for the swap) and now you changed your tune and say that the way they are doing it is a complete scam.

At least I am glad that you (I guess) finally realized that the way Exodus is doing swap business is totally unacceptable. Having said that, I just don't understand how can someone use iot for anything else other than being a hot wallet (even though I wouldn't use them even for that) where you store not more than a couple of hundreds of dollars.
1848  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: "UNLOCKING THE POWER OF MERITS: STRATEGIES FOR GROWING YOUR ACCOUNT" on: March 14, 2023, 08:23:44 AM
Althoughh I am newcomer, I have parused this forum and the following are some of the viewpoints I have developed
How are you newcomer since you registered your account almost 2 years ago? Or you maybe forgot to check one of the alt accounts you decided to use for this weak merit fishing attempt?

Anyway, don't expect to get any with the text that obviously looks like its been written by one of those chatbots.

1849  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: DETERMINATION OF A SAFE STABLE COIN: What should newbies do? on: March 13, 2023, 05:22:55 PM
I think our tax expert already covered that in some of his posts. No idea where though.
You are right, I managed to find the posts from last year where guys discussed exactly that. As a matter of fact I think I saw those posts before but I guess I decided to block it when I saw how impractical it is to actually do it.

Government's short-sightedness never ceases to amaze me; instead of making it easy so people can report it and they get some money out of it, they made is so complicated that no one will bother with it, meaning less money for them. GG
1850  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: What is the best mining platform for btc? on: March 13, 2023, 04:34:42 PM
In my opinion, it's always best to be cautious when it comes to cloud mining. I think it's important to approach cloud mining with a healthy dose of skepticism and to do your due diligence before investing any money.
Since cloud mining is in 99.99% cases straight up scam, there's really no need to read reviews and waste time looking for a legit ones. Instead, just treat them like they are ponzi schemes (meaning avoid them) and buy bitcoin & store it safely.
1851  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: EXODUS + N.Exchange = SCAM | STAY AWAY on: March 13, 2023, 02:43:37 PM
I lost my trust in Exodus. I believe they had bad intention making a partnership with N.Exchange.
In the best case scenario they are guilty of negligence for having a scammy exchange as partner while in reality they probably very well knew what's going on. I wouldn't even be surprised if there are deeper connections between Exodus and N.Exchange as that would explain why are they using them for swap when there's so many alternative options. Another argument for that is that they don't even let you know that they are using them for swap, and that doesn't make any sense unless they somehow benefit from it.

Btw what's the situation, did you apply some pressure on Exodus via their social media accounts and channels, or is there any reply from N.Exchange?
1852  Local / Off-topic (Hrvatski) / Re: Kutak za kulturni trenutak (filmovi, serije, knjige etc) on: March 13, 2023, 02:36:05 PM

The Banshees of Inisherin (meni osobno najbolji film prosle godine ) nije uspio osvojiti ni jednu nagradu, unatoc cak 9 nominacija. Koga zanima, evo i pune liste svih pobjednika https://variety.com/2023/awards/awards/oscar-winners-2023-list-1235548935/
1853  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: DETERMINATION OF A SAFE STABLE COIN: What should newbies do? on: March 13, 2023, 02:17:39 PM
As far as I know, if you are employed, what you get from signature campaigns should be declared as other income and reported every time you receive a payment. I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with the income tax you pay if you sell crypto, but with the income you get from some extra work. However, it is best to seek a professional opinion.
Hm good point, for a moment I forgot that signature campaign payment is seen as 2nd income. I think I'm gonna ask it in the taxes thread in our local board since there is our guy there that knows this crypto taxes stuff inside&out. Not planning to report it though, it will be just for academic purposes.  Grin
1854  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why Beginners Should Not Go For Future Trading? on: March 13, 2023, 08:58:49 AM
I will advise you to do Spot trading because there you have a little risk to lose your funds but in future trading you can be liquidated in a short time and can be frustrated.
Maybe as newbie you won't lose your money with spot trading as fast as you would with futures, but you will most likely end up losing money anyway. Sure, you may get lucky once or twice at the beginning thinking that is so easy to simply "buy low and sell high" while in reality you will end up doing the opposite.

I did the same mistake back in 2017 as I thought that i am pro trader just because I was profiting during bull market. Then shit hit the fan and bear came and I quickly realize that I have no idea what I'm doing so best course of action was to switch to hodl mode. Best decision ever.

tl;dr newbies should avoid trading allogether.
1855  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Coinbase to Suspend Binance USD (BUSD) Trading on: March 13, 2023, 07:55:31 AM
Are you aware that Binance stopped supporting USDC on their platform somewhere in September last year?
While he probably wasn't aware of the initial removal of USDC from Binance, but since two days ago you can trade BNB/USDC, ETH/USDC and BTC/USDC pairs again so they did change their stance on it.

1856  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 Oscar Awards betting and discussions on: March 13, 2023, 07:46:22 AM
I generally don't agree with Academy when it comes to Best Picture winners (looking back at the last ~15 years, the only time I actually agreed with them was Nomadland), this is the first time I disliked the winner so much I couldn't even finish it and probably won't even give it a 2nd chance. Kudos to Everything Everywhere All at Once though, not an easy feat to win 7 Oscars, especially not for movie with smaller production.

Biggest surprise for me was that The Banshees of Inisherin didn't win a single Oscar. While I knew that Colin Farrell beating Brendan Fraser is unlikely (even though i preferrede Colin's performance), I still hoped for at least for Best Original Screenplay but I guess since movie didn't have any woke bs, chances to win anything were slim to none.

Needless to say I failed miserably at betting because I went for those who I though should win, not for those who I thought would probably win. Cheesy

1857  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Is self-meriting possible? on: March 13, 2023, 07:25:59 AM
Is it possible to frown about what is not possible? Only what I know some members frown about is to be meriting alt account with another alt account, I guess that is what you meant.
I don't think that you understood me correctly. I didn't say that meriting your own post from the same account if frowned upon (simply because its impissible to do that), but instead that he shouldn't merit his post from his alt account, which is frowned upon and will end up badly for him.
1858  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: DETERMINATION OF A SAFE STABLE COIN: What should newbies do? on: March 12, 2023, 05:51:57 PM
After that whole circus with Terra/Luna, I really thought that people would wise up and move away from stablecoins, but it seems that the exact opposite is happening.
Even if same things happened to Tether (which would have much bigger consequences to the market than fall of UST had), I don't think that situation would change much. If anything, someone would come up with another ingenious way of even less stable "stablecoin".

I believe that people would be much more inclined to pay tax on that type of income - but according to my law, I would have to file a report every time I receive a payment, which means every week of the year. I don't know if anything has changed since the beginning of the year in this regard, but not only is it a big waste of time, but it can also be a threat to my personal safety, given that people like to talk about things that should be an official secret.
I haven't reported my earnings via signature campaign yet so I am not exactly sure how it works, but wouldn't you have to file a separate report each week only if you were cashing out every time you get the signature money?
1859  Other / Meta / Re: bullrun2020bro - Merit Source Application on: March 12, 2023, 05:18:25 PM
Most of the merit sources who were selected from the year 2021 are still active, and there are no complaints about the difficulty of obtaining merits, so I do not think that anything will happen, at least until next July.
True, last time theymos introduced new merit sources and adjusted smerit allocation to the existing ones, monthly number of merit shared was considerably lower than it was few years ago so it made sense for him to make that adjustment. On the other hand, current situation in that regard is very good and monthly amount of merit shared barely dropped since the latest merit adjustment so its not likely that theymos changes anything soon.

Then again, situation in German board is not the best and its obvious that amount of merit shared in their board is on the decline, with last month worst in the last few years, and one of the worst ever so they could indeed use another merit source. The only problem is that theymos usually approved new merit sources in bulk.

No, its not possible to merit your own post and its also frowned upon to merit your post from your alt account (meaning you gonna get negative feedback).
