1721  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Blockchain.com "oops, something went wrong..." on: April 04, 2023, 08:13:25 AM
Im not familar with all the technical details but this seems reasonable. The money is there for sure and the mistake is on their end.
Blockchain.com is one of the worst wallets around and I would advise you to import your seed into something else instead of waiting for them to sort it out.

I had a similar problem on two ocassions and when it happened for the first time it took them 4-5 days to sort whatever problem they had and my crypto to finally show inside the wallet. Few months later it happened again (and at the worst possible time as I sent some bitcoin to my app in order to sell via BATM) and since I coulnd't wait for them to sort it out, I just imported seed into another wallet and never used blockchain.com again.

1722  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is the Binance the next to bite the dust or FUD? on: April 04, 2023, 06:23:21 AM
In any case, there was a joke that CZ was in the Interpol's red notice, however, if you know @cobie, he also the has power of knowing the future hehehe.
Yeah I saw the rumour but I don't follow @cobie ao I have no idea how quality his info is. Did he share anything in the past that proved to be correct, what's his track record?

Regarding the Interpol Red Notice, anyone can go to their website and check if CZ is on it (so far he isn't),.Even though I generally like Twitter and use it on the regular basis, signal to noise ratio there is awful and absolutely everything you read there should be taken with handful of salt and there is FUD on the daily basois on almost anything crypto related. Then again, just because this news about CZ is probably FUD, that doesn't mean that people should use Binance (or any other exchange for that matter) as bank and store their money there or that he is clean.

Unatoc svemu, ja jednostavno odbijam imati ikakav memecoin u svom portfoliju.

By the way Rikafip, I imagine that you say this half jokingly, right? who does the spins has no influence on the outcome of the spins.
Being superstitious and doing all kinds of crazy things that you think will increase your chances of winning something are half the fun when it comes to gambling, at least for me.  Grin
1725  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My mind is unrest on: April 03, 2023, 08:22:30 AM
Don't worry about that, if you have fingerprint lock in your phone, it's very hard to unlock it
Hah, it would be good if that's true, but reality is diametrically opposite and fingerpint authentification is way less safe and much easier to crack than a quality password protection. Here is the article that explains more about how easy is to actually do it. Another problem with fingerprint authentification is when it gets leaked once, it will be valid (most likely) forever because you can't just change your fingerpint like you can change leaked password.

and no one is going to unlock all workers phones to steal.
Buddy, people are stealing left and right and phones today are much more than just a means of communication.

1726  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: My mind is unrest on: April 03, 2023, 06:25:27 AM
I can't afford a hardware wallet right away and I just got a job where we are always asked to drop our phones every morning, all workers only have access to their phones after we closed at work, and that's in the evening, so many hours away.
Why don't you use Electrum (or whichever wallet your prefer) for your PC instead? It should be safer than using mobile phone wallet anyway (if you are careful what you install on your PC).  By the way, hardware wallets are not as expensive as you might think and it will increase safety of your bitcoin immensely so you should really cosnider sorting that out asap if you can.

If you don't have money to buy a hardware wallet I guess you must not have much money invested in Bitcoin, right?
I might be wrong about this case and guy might really struggle financially at the moment, but I think that in many cases people who say that they can't afford hardware wallet actually have issues with priorities, thinking that unless they have huge amount of money in crypto they don't really need hardware wallet and that is just a waste of money, or that chances of them getting hacked are very low. I thought the same before I lost almost everything ~5 years ago, and first thing I did after that was buying hardware wallet even though at the time I had maybe $100-$200 crypto left.

1727  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Best Exchanges without KYC? on: April 03, 2023, 06:12:02 AM
Aside from DEXs (decentralized exchanges), I'd want to know if there are any centralized exchanges that don't require you to verify your ID to trade crypto. Something like Shapeshift (instant exchange), but without the
There are few of those left that let you trade without KYC but problem is that they can ask for KYC at anytime so if you really don't want to give you documents to any exchange, I suggest to send only the amount you are ready to lose in case they ask for KYC.

I've been using Kucoin like that (ready to lose the money if they ask for KYC) for the last few years and they still didn't ask me for KYC, but I never sent more than a couple of hundreds of dollars there so that might explain no KYC request as of yet.
1728  Economy / Speculation / Re: US Government DUMPING Bitcoin on: April 02, 2023, 03:29:10 PM
Is Bitcoin going to be trashed let's talk about all this stuff and more this came out yesterday and a lot of people were talking about it what happened to these 51,000 Bitcoins.
Buddy don't worry, good guy Justin Sun decided to take one for the team and save the day by buying those government's bitcoins. Cheesy

And quite funny, they are selling at a loss, bitcoin was at around $60k by that time.
To be honest its kinda expected from goverment to suck at managing the money, I am just surprised that they didn't get rid of it at ~16k.

So it is possibly Duel at Dawn or The great train robbery bonus that your wife had spawned since those two give 10 free spins.
Thinking about it now, I think it was indeed Duel at Dawn that gave us free spins.

Congrats on your win! Looks like your wife has some serious luck on her side. Wives, huh? They have some kind of superpower when it comes to anything (especially with money). Maybe it's their intuition or their lucky charm. Who knows?
Hah I woulnd't call it serious luck when you win $5 on 50+ something spins, but it sure beats mine. Cheesy

Yes, it's true that playing high volatility slot games like Wanted Dead does require a playing strategy and quite a lot of funds because this type of slot is very difficult to win and can even make gamblers who play there lose all their money without getting a win in buying bonuses or spins normal.
Playing slots with the intention to make money usually don't end up good and its a bad strategy due house edge. Instead, people should see it as an entertainment (and gambling in general) as that's what it is. I used to be a regular at brick and mortar casinos (not so much in the last few years) but I never went there with intention to make money. Instead, it was more about hanging out with my buddies and having a couple of beers while playing slot machines.

1731  Local / Off-topic (Hrvatski) / Re: Kutak za kulturni trenutak (filmovi, serije, knjige etc) on: April 02, 2023, 06:53:42 AM

Sta reci, odlican film a George C. Scott fenomenalan u glavnoj ulozi, mozda cak i bolji nego u kultnom Dr Strangelove.

Battleground (1949)

1733  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Bittrex to shut its U.S operations on: April 01, 2023, 04:08:22 PM
Its sad to see what became of Bittrex as if I remember correctly they were one of the leading exchanges back in early 2017 when I rejoined the crypto so naturally I used it too. If I am not mistaken, I think they even had a practice of delisting shitcoins if they weren't following their roadmap which is something I would like to see again.

I  This force me to submit again KYC using my valid ID which is odd since Binance and other exchange doesn’t ask me for this KYC update.
I guess you were lucky so far because Binance also has a habit of annoying their customers with repeated KYC.
1734  Other / Meta / Re: [CHARTS] Brief monthly overview of the local boards activity on: April 01, 2023, 02:36:10 PM
All this recent activity in topic made me already starting work on monthly overview. So far all posts related charts and tables has been finished but since Merit Dashboard is updated every Friday, I will have to wait for April 7th in order to have the full month's merit data (if I made it now, I would miss the data for March 31st).

@fillippone I suggest you start working on yours if you wanna beat me this month.  Grin

1736  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: April 01, 2023, 06:10:27 AM
If they have any hope of winning the title they really can’t be dropping points against teams like Montpellier, especially when they’re playing at home.
Sounds weird, but their home form is exactly the reason why they are so far behind PSG and practicly lost all chances to win the title. Last time they beat anyone home (counting league games only) was Rennes more than 2 months ago and after that they had 2 draws and 3 losses.

Lucky for them Lens plays against Rennes so they might stay at the 2nd spot for one more week.
1737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: French Soccer League Predictions and Discussion Thread (Ligue 1) on: March 31, 2023, 05:20:51 PM
There are still 10 matches worth 30 points in total until the end of season. That means if the chance for PSG to be surpassed by marseille is still there. Marseille is not yet losing in the competition to get league 1 trphy
trophy
Problem is that Marseille ain't consistent either and for that reason I don't think that they can endanger PSG despite all of their problems. The best they can do imho is to defend that 2nd spot that leads directly  to Champions League and that's probably their goal now.

I think it will be an easy game for Marseille tonight and an easy three points... They really need this win to get closer to PSG... While Montpellier are no longer motivated for the rest of this season, they will still remain in the middle of the standings... So I think betting on a Marseille win today will be risk-free...
I really hope for an easy Marseille win, but you never know with them. Despite Montpeiller not really needing this win, they are playing very good lately and won't go down easy. Still, Marseille is an obvious bet as they really need 3 points to keep at 2nd spot. Anyway, looking forward to the game tonight. Smiley

edit: Marseille already loosing 0:1  and not being very convincing in the first 15 minutes.

1738  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [Updated] FTX on: March 31, 2023, 07:54:54 AM
To be clear, this doesn't involve EU customers from FTX global. This is a different platform that opened a few months before the collapse of FTX.
That's probably the reason why they opened withdrawals for them in the first place, knowing that not many people actually have account there. Its similar to why Celsius is giving back the money only to those in their custody program, not earn.
1739  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Is the Binance the next to bite the dust or FUD? on: March 31, 2023, 07:38:08 AM
We don't know if they really are working to be friendly with regulators since that's what CZ always want to emphasize but we may never know what will happen and I think they are working on it, it could be catastrophic if they wouldn't be able to. I'd say CZ's Binance was way more transparent (maybe) compare to SBF that still says not guilty on frauds and conspiracy, a truly pathetic dude.
We still have no idea what CZ is a actually doing behind the closed door (at least not the most shady stuff). Sure, he doesn't seem as reckless and cocky as SBF but just a six months ago Sam was seen as 2nd coming of Christ by a large portion of crypto community and guy who will save crypto industry and we can see how that ended.
1740  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Beaxy exchange closed by SEC on: March 31, 2023, 05:56:14 AM
For people who read all of these news and still use centralized exchanges as their main custody for BTC, i don't know what they are still thinking, is it until someone, possibly one hiding in cayman island gambles away their money that they would learn.
If fall of MtGox and FTX didn't teach anyone anything, so won't fall of a small and unknown exchange like Beaxy. I know some people that lost money in FTX and Celsius and they are still storing large amount of money on Binance so what else to say. At least in Beaxy case people will have time to actually withdraw their money (or at least that's what they say).

If I'm not mistaken, they even imitated the early strategy of Binance by giving away a Lamborghini. I cannot remember exactly how things have turned awry but it was indeed accused of being a scam.
Binance was giving away Lamborghini? Lol I didn't know that. Those marketing "techniques" are usually reserved for the worst possible ponzi scams.
