2641  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 27, 2022, 12:42:54 PM
I thought Medvedev was done after going 2 sets behind. Nice to see he's growing stronger in the mental aspect of the game, that was his weakest point so far.

Tsitsipas was really dominant against Sinner but I feel Medvedev is a better player. Tsitsipas will want to prove that he's better than what we saw here last year.
Yeah, I thought that game is over and he is done in this tournament. But to my surprised and checking the score after, he won the last 3 sets, and felt bad for Felix AA because in the 3rd set he really has a chance to close it out. Berrettini and Nadal will be tomorrow if I'm not mistaken, it seems that they take a days off today and let the players rested. So we will see, I'm still on the Nadal bandwagon right now, he has a good chance to win the AO for this year.

Oh well, I thought I got it in the bag already because I have said previously, I have Felix as underdog @4.30 and thought I have won already. But it is tennis, players like Medvedev caliber can really go back after a 2 set down and turn things around. And by the 5th set, you will now it's over because of Felix's body language and the way Medvedev breaking Felix mentally in the game.
2642  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What engine is CBDC running on? on: January 26, 2022, 01:02:19 PM
Can CBDC be classified as cryptocurrencies?

As in if they can be traded? no, CBCD is not like that because they are going to be pegged on local currencies, so per se by definition of crypto, CBCD doesn't fall on that category.

If no what is CBDC running on? I mean what engine will CBDC runs on if not blockchain? Some are already saying CBDC is just like USDT what's true what's not?

It will still run on blockchain, as to what specific, still depends on the country itself. More likely it will be like local fiat, so yeah it will be stable price just like the rest of the stable coins we have including USDT.
2643  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Amir Khan vs Kell Brook - Feb 19, 2022 on: January 26, 2022, 12:10:44 PM
Much better if we have a poll here? Just saying.

I think everyone is going to vote for Brook, as others said, this is long overdue, but still it's worth for boxing fans outside of London. Why? Because we are waiting for it as well, I've seen trash talking about which is part of the game for this two. But Amir Khan for me has taken the more damage in terms of losing fight via worst knock out. His first lost was a knock out in seconds in round 1 if my memory serves me right. An unknown Breidis Prescott is the name, (again this is all coming from my memory as a boxing fan and if I'm wrong kindly correct me). And with that, Khan will retire after this because Brook is going to serve that ass.
2644  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 26, 2022, 11:31:32 AM
Now for the Warriors game…
Warriors won big time. Klay Thompson sinking most of his 3 point shots like a flash back of splash brothers. The first 3 shots was perfect until he missed 2 of them. I like how Steve Kerr is not rushing anything. Just play some minutes, heat up then go back to rest. Almost like he is still in recovery. Maybe, mentally.
However, Steph Curry after breaking the record is still having issues with his outside shots. He tried mid range and it's working so I guess he should stay there for a while until he acquire his powers back.  Grin

Yeah, but even with Steph having his sort of 'struggle' from the outside, still the Warriors are winning and remain at the top of the Western conference. It's a testament that you don't need he doesn't need to score more and carry the team just like what Lebron is trying to do with the Lakers right now. And when Steph's shooting form is back, for sure they will be hard to stop specially that Klay is slowly getting his rhythm back as well.
2645  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is $34k the bottom?? on: January 26, 2022, 09:55:35 AM
We will see this after the Chinese New year, hoping for a good reversal.

Again Chinese New Year... Why do you consider that this holiday can influence on Bitcoin? You think that people would start to convert Bitcoin info fiat to buy presents? Bitcoin is illegal in China. Operations with Bitcoin are illegal. There will be people who will make such exchanges anyway, but their number is so tiny that market wont even noticed crypto movements.

Previous years proved that holidays, summer time holidays for traders, pandemic restrictions does not influence on the price at all. These are just excuses for newcomers to explain why their invested value has decreased.

It's because there are some speculators who really connect every holiday in the calendar year for bitcoin going up (or down) for that matter. Initially I thought that there is somewhat correlated, but like the last bearish trend, I remain optimistic that bitcoin will bounce back after the Chinese New Year but it didn't happen.

So after that I said to myself that it is bullshit to say the least. Crypto moves in positive direction when people are buying, simply as that, regardless if there is holiday in a calendar or not. And now that China has put a hard line stance against bitcoin, I'm not expecting any movement coming from them.
2646  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 26, 2022, 09:28:00 AM
^^ It's because Tsitsipas was really playing very high tennis and Sinner has no answer.

Good match between Medvedev vs Felix AA, no break yet, score 5-5. And by the looks of the match, this could be another 5 setter. Unless either one really exploded. But I'm not seeing that, and just for fun, I have Felix-AA @4.30 ML.
2647  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 24, 2022, 11:22:34 AM
Čilić was playing well - but if you lose both tie-breaks you will eventually lose the match. Aliassime was better in the key moments and in tennis that is often the difference.

I knew that this is going to be a close match, and I'm predicting a 5 set match. But FAA really played very well in the 3rd set and then close out Čilić in another tie-break.

I'm most looking forward to Nadal - Shapovalov, Shapovalov was fantastic against Zverev. I will go as far as to consider him a favorite.

With the way Nadal is playing right now, he will still be the favorite against Shapovalov here. Maybe another 3 sets win for Nadal.

Tsitsipas vs Fritz still very close in the 3rd set, no breaks yet. score 3-3, might go for a tie break.
2648  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is $34k the bottom?? on: January 24, 2022, 06:39:23 AM
Today bitcoin price around $35k+.I think it was not bottom.Decentralization will be never stable. Bitcoin price movement and dump and pump so It's normal. When bitcoin pricie dumping then i think bitcoin price will be more increase again and i hope bitcoin price will be recover soon.I think bitcoin price will be reach $70k+ in 2022.

The price has nothing to do with decentralization, it's based on supply and demand and how the market is doing by buying and selling bitcoin.

But I do believed that this is not the bottom yet. and soon we are going to retest $30k. And it maybe hard for the majority but it is a retest and we will see how the market will react to that price.

$70k this 2022 might not likely to happen though, we are already in a bear market so there will be no all time high at this cycle.
2649  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: January 24, 2022, 05:48:51 AM
I think Errol Spence Jr. will open up his odds higher than Yordenis Ugas and will be the best favorite,

It's the other way around. Ugas will have the high odds and Spence is something like @1.2-1.5 as a Favorite.

Ugas is the heavy underdog and if we will convert the sample odds shared above maybe around @3 will be given to him

Much better to bet on Knock Out or Decision.

That's a tough one for Spence because Ugas has never been KO, so probably the odds is high, maybe around 1.90 or more, but it's a good odds. However, I think Spence would not be so aggressive as he was coming from an injury, so that feeling of high confidence might be affected and we might see the other way around.

I think otherwise, but what I'm seeing is that maybe he will be affected by the ring rust. We will see in the first couple of rounds if Spence is his old self. Like when he comes back from his car crashed injury and fight Porter, in the earlier rounds, he has difficulty and Porter scored a couple of rounds. So he will adjust in this fight in the middle of the rounds and could go all out again if he feels he is behind in the judges scorecard and will not think of his eye injury.

Right, if his mindset is to protect his eye then he will somewhat not going 100% in fight and might lose against Ugas. So there is a lot to factor before betting here, I mean we have our own analysis and we agree and disagree.

I know it somewhat complicated, because it might sway or affect our betting public, but this the beauty of our forum. Many boxing fans sharing their own "expertise" and "analysis and we might agree or disagree.  Grin
2650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 24, 2022, 04:54:52 AM
^^ That's why AD is still the missing link in the puzzle for the Lakers.

He is still on the injured list so they are terribly missing his services right now as others that is expected to help Lebron is not stepping up or very inconsistent.

Only Lebron is doing very hard for the team, but we all know that he can't do it by himself. Malik Monk only scored 7 points , THT 5 points. And those two should be like at least 15 each in this game to help Lebron.
2651  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Casimero vs Butler ordered by WBO on: January 23, 2022, 05:32:16 PM
Inoue's name will always be dragged everytime we have Casimero as a topic, which means that the fans would really want to see them fight. In terms of benefits? I think Inoue will benefit a lot because if he wins he will become a unified champion and he will also gain a good paycheck since it's going to be a big fight, for sure the sharing would be 60/40 or 70/30 in favor of him.

It is to be expected though, they are in the same division, champion and have been calling each other out. Specially when Casimero started to trash talk Inoue in public and then Inoue replying back to the taunt of Casimero.

So this is going to be a match in heaven sort of, two very powerful boxers who has something to prove to the world. Yeah, Inoue will be getting the lion share of the split and probably 60/40 in my opinion is probably the right split of the purse.
2652  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is $34k the bottom?? on: January 23, 2022, 04:34:46 PM

but 34k to be the bottom? I don't think so mate because the way market is telling us now ? there are even lower price to come for this situation and i hate to see this coming .

I have also seen this same scenario in 2018. When the market crashed many youtube said now this is the bottom you will never going to get this price to buy bitcoin again. They keep saying it every time bitcoin takes a dip. Maybe this time the same thing going to happen again. If we failed to create support above 30k then I do not know where this bleeding will end.

But i know one thing and that is in crypto opportunity will come again and again so the only patience soul will have the honey at the end.

Yep, the memories of 2018 crash is beginning to repeat itself again. For sure majority of us here still remember that time, wherein we are really in denial after hitting an all time high in December 2017.

But 2018 specially around March was the start of a huge downturn, so for me this is not the absolute bottom, maybe we can see the price into the $30k or even lower. Specially if there will be another FUD that will scare investors.
2653  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Thurman vs Barrios - Feb 5 on: January 23, 2022, 03:07:41 PM
^^ No doubt that Barrios believes in himself that he can beat Thurman, that's why he chooses Keith to be his next fight in his first attempt at 147 lbs. And he should be really preparing hard because he knows that this is a very difficult fight for him. And upsets can happen in boxing, as we can see recently, Magsayo beat the reigning champion in 126 lbs in Russell via a decision. So we will see if he has what it takes to pull another upset for this year.
2654  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 23, 2022, 02:25:34 PM
Do you guys think CP3 has a chance to win the MVP race if we are not looking at just stats only?
Obviously, when it comes to stats Nikola Jokic will be the winner of it but when it comes to impact to the whole team and how he administered the Phoenix Suns in good and bad times CP3 has the upper hand. Those kinds will not be seen in stats but you can see it with how he maneuvers the pace of the game whenever they need it.
Isiah Thomas thinks so and I do see his point after watching the Suns game.

I didn't check it but what are the odds of CP3 winning the MVP race for this year?

Nikola Jokic was not the front runner as far as I remember last year, it was just after the All Star Break that his statistics went off the roof. And then it's totally depending on the votes though, maybe CP3 might get some this year for the impact he is bringing to the Suns. But I think they are going to still look at the numbers though, and how good the player is overall.
2655  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What does Russia's bank move imply for Ethereum 2.0? on: January 23, 2022, 01:51:51 PM
Will Ethereum's progress be jeopardised in any way? Is it possible that Vitalik will be reviled in Russia? He met with Putin to discuss cryptocurrency, but this new episode has me scratching my head as to what the Russian central bank is thinking.

I don't see any correlation between the progress of Ethereum with Russia.

Central bank, not just in Russia are of course against crypto, including Bitcoin and Ethereum. But it doesn't mean that they can jeopardize any project. If they issue a ban then so be it, but the project will continue to move and maybe we can see the next iteration of Ethereum this year. I'm sure there will be one or two releases or even more for 2022. Specially improvement that will lessen the current gas fees.
2656  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: why is Cryptocurrency not as easy in Pakistan as in other countries on: January 23, 2022, 01:23:47 PM
Maybe they are taking a hardline stance like their neighbor India?

Or are they afraid that crypto will have a bad effect on their economy in the long run?

Or maybe they think some bad elements like terrorist will take advantage of crypto's supposedly (psuedo) anonymity that's why they don't approved of it. In short they are afraid that criminals are going to used it and their government will have a hard time chasing them.

Or maybe the bank itself thinks that crypto will destroy them, that's why those old and traditional bankers are afraid of changes like cryptocurrencies.
2657  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: January 23, 2022, 12:49:49 PM
Congrats to the winners, I see that most of the posters here were betting on Magsayo, you enjoy the day.  Smiley

That was so lucky for Magsayo, Rusell got injured so he took advantage of it.
If Rusell wasn't injured, I think Magsayo might lose in this fight because the scorecards result were very close, one judge even score a draw.

The judge that scores the draw is questionable given the compu box results but this is boxing a lot of controversies when it comes to going to the judges' score, Magsayo is being very careful because he knows he is fighting a strong fighter with a very good experience but like all the opinions here he is indeed lucky, Gary Russell can call a rematch if there is a clause in their contract, the argument is he is not 100% although it's not Magsayo's fault.

As always, they would favor the champion but not enough cheating for this fight. Scoring a draw is insane, they see that the champion is only fighting with one hand and there's no way he could win as Magsayo is also fast and fierce in the fight, maybe next time the favor would go to Magsayo as he is the current champion.

I think it will be blatant cheating if the judges score the fight for Russell as it is very clearly that Magsayo did enough to push the fight and hit Russell cleanly specially in the later rounds.

If for reasons, the judges score it for Russell, for sure there will be a lot of uproar and those judges are going to be in the hot seat for that decision. So they can't allow that except maybe for that one judge who have it a draw. So the reign of Russell has come to an end. Bring Leo Sta Cruz next for Magsayo, sure as hell that will be a entertaining fight.
2658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tennis League All Thread on: January 23, 2022, 12:09:19 PM
Woke up to some surprising results and more upsets, biggest for me is Zverev.

Yeah i was also very surprised when i saw the result of Zverevs match against Shapovalow, i really thought he had a huge chance to win this one as Djokovic could not participate and Thiem also. I saw clips of him where he is destroying his racket so i guess it was just one of those days where just nothing worked out at all for him, which happens. I guess a lot of bets were lost because of this result. Nadal on the other hand showed a very convincing performance again and so far he really played great in this tournament with the exception of the third set against khachanov. If he can keep those performance level up and his body wont let him down then he is a big favorite for the title.

I even had a bet on Zverev, Lol, and it's really hard to watch the game and see him lost against Shapovalov. So I guess this is one of the biggest upset so far in the men's side.

Yep, just one of those days wherein you are really having a bad game and nothing is clicking so he must be really frustrated. Nadal's story is very different though, he is really back with a strong showing, and if I'm not mistaken, having drop a set yet?
2659  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 22, 2022, 12:54:21 PM
^^ There is a lot of pressure of Vogel right now, literally his job is on the line. Although if James might have swayed the Lakers management to let Frank stay maybe after the All-Star break I reckon before making the final decision.

I think the errors are killing the Lakers and they don't know how to hold a team in the fourth quarter. James is asserting himself, but he needs to score more every game to give them at least a good chance to win every night. The game against the Magic will be tough as this is on the Magic home court.

If the Lakers win, it's LeBron. If they lose, it's Vogel...

Honestly I think that Frank Vogel has probably the worst job in the NBA. There is not much that can be done with this roster, when the second best player on the team is literally Stanley Johnson that has been out of the league for quite some time.

Unless LeBron conjures up some magic and winds back time, this roster is going nowhere.

Well, Vogel's safe for now because the Lakers have won the game against the Orlando Magic for an 11 points difference. But I wonder what would happen to Vogel if they've been lost today from one of the weakest team in the league with an 8-39 standing Grin
I really doubt that there's not much to be done in this roster, ain't a Lakers fans here but there's still some room for improvement because this team is consisted of a former superstars so they probably know more what to do. Like Dwight Howard needs more minutes in the game, instead he's playing for no more than 15-20 minutes per game, and that's a disadvantage already as they need another big man to replace AD for the time being.

Dwight has been given time already and he is producing numbers are a center.

Lebron too, putting great statistical numbers that we haven't seen from him for a while, MVP candidate numbers and yet they keep on losing.

Maybe it's really too much of superstars in the line up, experienced and old but not contributing as well as expected like WB and Carmelo.
2660  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Estrada vs Gonzalez Trilogy - March 5 on: January 21, 2022, 06:34:53 PM
And so far there are no swing bets yet so the odds remain 1.85 for both.

Maybe as we get to the fight date itself there could be slight odds and we might see Estrada be the favourite in this fight.

But I'm not going to be surprised because he has won the second fight.

I'm still going to wait for other odds yet, it will be juicier than the ML odds although it is very good already. Nevertheless, as gamblers, we will go and look for a better odds.

We will see, but I have to agree that Estrada might pull off as a slight favorite on the strength of the result of the rubber match. And looking as most comments here, they are on the Estrada's bandwagon for now. Unless Chocolatito shows up and bring back the time and give Estrada a good fight that will last the full 12 rounds and might steal the trilogy and get the score 2-1 in their grudge match.

Still some time for Gonzalez to train very hard for this trilogy. I still think he can pull and win here but maybe his biggest opponent right now is father time. He has been in so many wars including the two fights he had with Estrada so only time can tell if he can give us 100% in this fight or he really is out and way past his prime year in fighting. And he is just after the money before he retires.
