1641  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Terence Crawford vs David Avanesyan December 10 on: November 05, 2022, 12:03:37 PM
So got the time to look for David Avanesyan fight and see how good he is,

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5xUFVfAW8rI

This is against Josh Kelly, and Josh was really doing good in the first couple of round even caught Davis napping and almost got a knock down. But David is one tough sob, as he keeps coming back for more and when he landed flash, it was over for Josh.

However, I would say that he is just fairly basic and I think Crawford will win this fight very easy as he can break him down per round.
1642  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The History of Blackjack on: November 05, 2022, 11:20:21 AM
Another good history lessons again mate, yeah, we for many years have been enjoying this game.

And of course there are a lot of good movies about blackjack and the one that I vividly remember is "21", wherein a professor build a team of bright students to go to Vegas nad have a run in blackjack table through card counting.

For sure there are a lot more movies about this game that we have seen.
1643  Economy / Speculation / Re: There will be more down - bearish on BTC on: November 04, 2022, 09:14:53 PM
Predictions from many experts believe that the market will bearish again, we must prepare, I will also immediately sell if the price of Bitcoin drops again below $ 20K, a difficult decision but as an investor we must always be realistic so as to avoid greater losses.

Not sure if that is the correct assumption though, we don't sell when the price is going down because you are going to lost money in that strategy and remain clam when the price is going spiral. And if you have money, the best thing to do is buy at the dip and hold, this is just a advise though, take it or leave it.

And so if the price continue to decline in the last 2 months, I wouldn't be affected. Besides we are in a bear market and obviously price is going down and there will be bleeding everywhere you look. It's how you are going to take advantage of this bad situation.
1644  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Elon musk have Just a year to make back his money🙆 on: November 04, 2022, 08:56:57 PM
Twitter's mMAUs (monthly Monetizable Active Users) stands at 450 million. If they pay $8 per month, that gives Elon $3.6B per month. It will take 13 months to make $44B - the purchase price QED. Elon Musk is a genius.

It's not that easy though, not sure if everyone is willing to pay that much.

But obviously, this is the business side of why he wanted to acquire Twitter itself, to make more money isn't it. Maybe it will not be just a year that he will get his money back, maybe it will at least take a couple of years. And not sure if mMAU = blue badge, because that is what the initial news is. They are going to charge for those who are verified and have that blue badge under their names.
1645  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How are Online casino's and sports betting platforms coping? on: November 04, 2022, 08:31:03 PM
Does casino really have high maintenance as compare to land base? So not sure if they are reducing their employment at a fast rate. So probably what they have is a support team that works 24x7, maybe a fraud department and the the security and IT experts, infrastructure guy to maintained the health of the system and probably do some maintenance jobs. And even if they will replace them, it's very easy to find someone, the way I see it.
1646  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: The History of the Roulette Game on: November 04, 2022, 08:11:19 PM
I tend to dislike pure luck based games because I feel like you should be able to help yourself win through games. But sometimes luck based games like roulette feels really relaxed, you don't spend any effort and just take a wild guess. And it really takes no time to define winner and losers here, what a quick game.
I didn't know Roulette was French game but name "Roulette" suggested it somehow, I realized this after I read this post.

Well if you wanted to have some fun, then roulette might be the game for you. But who knows, maybe you are extremely lucky and hit that single number, payout is huge at a single unit to 36 unit in a single 0.

What's interesting is the inventor though, he created it to test probabilities and what not, but some more genius guy turn into a game that up to know, many people around the world become addicted to it.
1647  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fees on Dormant Accounts on Crypto Gambling Platforms on: November 04, 2022, 07:52:16 PM
Are you familiar with this? Or has anybody here been actually charged for having his/her crypto gambling account inactive for several months?

No.

The monthly charge could be as high as 15% of the remaining balance. Or, worse, the entire balance could be withheld by the platform itself. Although it could be for security's sake and be returned upon request, who knows what conditions or perhaps KYC information they would require just to have your money back?

That is huge, 15% is going to be charge if you just keep your money on their platform? That is short of a scam to me. And with that said, I think gamblers now are going to read the Terms of the gambling platform that they are playing or going to play in the future.

For the sake of discussion, let's set aside the fact that one shouldn't leave money in gambling account wallets. Do you think this policy is fair?

Again, as I have said, I'm totally against it, and the only thing we can do is really play our money with them and hope that we can win and get it out the soonest.

Interesting to know how long you can left it? 1 year? 6 months?
1648  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to earn some fractions of coins per day in this bear market? on: November 03, 2022, 08:24:17 PM
Now that Bear market is just getting started what are the most safest ways to make some small amounts of crypto every day without risking your assets? I am not considering trading because the risk of losing it all, any other ways?

Everything here is a risk, even if you stake some of your coins to earn, that is already a huge risk on your part.

So I guess there's nothing like what you have describe, not risking your assets to earn small amounts of crypto. Possible if you join bounty and signature campaign, still up to you, but obviously, the bargain is that you will have to make more time in this community.

And for me the best thing to do right now in this bear market is just to accumulate as much as you can and HODL, and then wait for the next bull run.
1649  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC always Decouple on: November 03, 2022, 07:55:11 PM
New fed rates announced , Share market shaked very red colour. over 500Billion wiped. But when we come to BTC. BTC not react aggressively.  BTC on his own way.

Most people put short positions on exchanges but liquidated because BTC pumped at that moment. its a hunt.

my conclusion is BTC decouple most of the equity markets. BTC has own way. So lets trust the timeline

The global crypto market cap is currently at $1.01T, and it has been around for a long time. This has nothing to do with the stock market. I think that the crypto market is separate from the stock market. These two assets run separately. Even the Bitcoin price has not wavered so far, and is still stable at $19k to $20k. Even some other crypto started pumping up 10% to 15% in the last week although it didn't last long. Maybe this can be said as the beginning of the bullish.

They still have some correlation though, maybe we can think that both investors or stock are also in cypto in the last couple of years. We might not agree on it, but that how the financial and economy of every government around the world is tie.

There is no beginning of the bullish market, it's just a short lived pump to $20k. And cycle wise, we are still in the bear market. We are not even half way of the bitcoin halving which is the catalyst for a bull run.
1650  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 03, 2022, 01:06:07 PM
The Milwaukee Bucks is doing quite well even in the absence of its second star Khris Middleton. Now the play is simple which is clearly for Giannis or Jrue can just shoot the ball himself. Although Khris is a viable option for the Bucks' offense, especially during playoff games. For now, they don't have to rush for Khris to return right away. Khris can return to the team 100% healthy.

It's unbelievable that the favorite teams continue to struggle except for the Bucks and Suns.
Giannis is too strong that he becomes a black hole absorbing the defense whenever he tries to penetrate to the rim.

He attracted, double or triple team, and now he seems to be hitting his prime as he knows what to do next.

This gives opportunity to shooters as long as he is able to kick it out perfectly to them. Their next game will be a competitive team, the Timberwolves. They rely with speed and with two big man to protect the rim.
This may become their first loss if Gobert and KAT can stop Giannis with his attacks.

He should really pass to his team mates whoever is open and take that shoot. This is really a good game, Gobert is there to try to block Giannis, but KAT can do the damage specially if Giannis is going to guard him inside or outside. And KAT could be a decoy to draw Giannis out of the middle.
1651  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ BOXING POLL ADDED ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK on: November 03, 2022, 12:45:34 PM
True, Fury is calling his way but Usyk is not going to bite on his bluff. He just won a hard fight and then Fury calling him to fight this December. Usyk has every right to decline for reasons of health as he needs to recuperate his body and getting it prep for the next challenge. So Fury is playing his best mind games here, and now going to settle for a fighter that he has beaten already.

What do you think about the split though? should it be 50/50 or Fury will get the biggest share even though he has only 1 belt, but I the most recognized amongst the world boxing bodies?
1652  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: gambling winner identity on: November 03, 2022, 11:56:32 AM
The man's reasoning is reasonable, but in my personal opinion this is an irresponsible act, he should as a husband, be honest with his wife or children and even if they turn into lazy, he just needs to educate them hard.
He's reason is kind of funny, how will you hide money from your wife and children because you think they will be lazy, why will you hide anything from your wife, i don't know but won't the man spend the money on his wife and children? Or will he just hide the money and flex it alone? I think he should even have discussion with his wife so that they will know what to do with the money and not hiding the money from his wife, I believe the way you train your wife and children will decide if they will be lazy or not if their is money. If the man is trying to hide is identity from public I think that's really a good idea for security purpose, but shouldn't hide the money from his wife and children.

Perhaps that is only his second reason why he is hiding his identify. And we can only conclude that he doesn't want his family know because maybe they will live a lavish lifestyle because of this huge windfall. And perhaps he wanted, specially for this children to experience what life is, again, maybe he was brought to be like this before by his parents as well. He wants to infuse to them that they need to work hard if they want to achieved their dream and not being granted because they are rich because of his father winning the lottery. The first reason, his relatives coming and knocking on the door to ask for money.
1653  Economy / Speculation / Re: What will Fed take tomorrow? on: November 02, 2022, 09:49:50 PM
What will Fed take tomorrow?
We are confident that Fed will keep raising interest rates at this time, but by how much? What if it goes up by 50 points? What if it goes up by 75 points? Pump or Dump?
Give me a good cause to make a big short (long) trade, I'm ready with cash  Tongue

Peace!!!

I guess we got the answer now, it's 75 points.

https://cointelegraph.com/news/bitcoin-price-hits-20-8k-as-volatility-ensues-over-fed-75-point-rate-hike

And obviously, it point a dent on the market price, hitting $20,100 right now and it seems that this might continue throughout the week and nosedive around high of $18k to lows to $19k.

Hopefully though, those who see this as positive thing is going to buy at this current price or wait till it plunges again. So it is still a win-win for us regardless of what the Fed rate hike is.
1654  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: Japanese gambling - tabsai game on: November 02, 2022, 09:17:25 PM
This game almost target to Japanese user because it is traditional game of Japanese.
We are making the website with English version as well. We will keep it posted here
I am not sure if there is a Japanese local board. You are saying it's targeting the Japanese users, then you may need to consider creating another thread in your language on the local board. You will get better response than here.

I have no idea how to play the game. Not even form the rules you wrote on your OP.

Hopefully, this is just another of those "lost in translation", maybe what he meant is that of course they will target the Japanese audience, but it's better if they can expand their horizons for non-Japanese as well?

I think it will be good though as many gamblers will like to try local games as well.

So good luck to the OP and hopefully you will can some traction amongst gamblers here (Japanese and non-Japanese).
1655  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: November 02, 2022, 08:46:24 PM
I really don't think that Inoue is going to beat Butler by a knockout, it's like something very terrifying for Butler, although it is very possible because the possibilities are present in them, many things can happen, among them they can be taken into account that they last All the Rounds and that the decision be unanimous, but Butler would be showing that he is a boxer who resisted one of the best there is today, this is something that must be recognized, and he could even have the right to a good rematch

I don't understand some parts of your post but I'm amazed that there are still a few thinks that Butler will survive the 12 rounds against Inoue.

It might happen and that's possible but in my observation and analysis I will rule out that from happening.

However, I would think that everything could happen in the term of not finishing the rounds but with a possible knockout, and the other option is that Butler comes out, surprises Inoue and ends the fight winning.

I will also ruled out the possibility of Butler winning the fight at the end. I can't even say such things and no offense to Butler's followers.

We just have to wait on the day of the fight to see if there will be an upset win or if the monster will just do his monster thing.

Right! I'm also happy to see that there's someone here who believes that Butler have a good and fair chance in defeating the monster of Japan, Naoya Inoue. However, I will be also among the first ones who will break that statement because no offense to Butler's fans/believers out there, saying that Butler has a good chance is quite seriously an overstatement, why? Look at his recent fight against Jonas Sultan who is the replacement of Casimero, he just barely won that fight. Casimero could have destroyed this Baby Faced Assassin but the latter had an easy journey towards the unification fight against Inoue. That is why I really don't believe that Paul Butler have a decent chance against Inoue.

And the odds as well by crypto sports bookies, they know that Butler has a slim chance to win against the Monster. Yes, there could be upset, but it's the question on whether Butler has the tools, which we see that he didn't have because he even had a hard time against Jonas Sultan. And we believed if that is Casimero, then maybe it could be a different outcome (sorry for bringing the name of Casimero again, but it's a good comparison). So for backers of Butler here, best of luck.
1656  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: November 02, 2022, 08:06:41 PM
What the heck! The arrogance of the Brooklyn Nets to fire Steve Nash after being humble and forgiving Kyrie after what he said. Damn!
That's one thing men would not be willing to do and yet he did so that concludes he is really a good coach just to keep the team intact.
Then, he took them to the playoffs which should've been impossible after that stunt by Kyrie, KD, and Ben. The other guy doesn't want to play, while the other feels like he should not play yet and another thinks he is better than his coach.  Grin
It's their loss, I wish Steve Nash will be hired by other teams and prove them wrong. Sweet Revenge.

Let's see if the new coach will make this team great again.

Nets are struggling and they put all the blame to the coach, well, we can understand that as Irving and Durant were real superstars and yet their team can barely win a game. No more excuses now, if they still would not improve, then we can conclude that the players are really the problem, most especially on the superstars.
And, they just lose to Chicago Bulls with those 17 turnovers and lot of offensive rebounds from Chicago. We don't know with Nets management and how they fire Steve but one thing is for sure if they improved then that's fine but if not, superstars should know what they're missing. Team owners/management these days will never hold coaches just because they're not winning. I wish Steve will have a lesson for this, maybe start small again as a coach on some small league then back again at NBA.

There are huge expectations on Nash shoulder when he become the coach of the Nets, for sure. Yes, he is a great player but we have seen some of them becoming coach but not very successful. Perhaps it was because of the team he handled with the Nets or maybe he needs more experienced first. And the NBA has really evolved, the team owners will always blame the coaches first when something went awry just. But at least there's no more pressure on Nash now, he have defended Kyrie and Durant in public, not saying anything bad against those two, class act by Nash and goodluck to him.
1657  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Casimero vs Akaho - December 3 on: November 02, 2022, 07:32:55 PM

It will be an interesting fight if Casimero will bring his entertaining skills. I mean, he loves the attention he must win the crowd here.

Well, I have no doubt Casimero will make it an entertaining fight, however, it's also important Akaho will be willing to give his 100% and do a toe to toe fight, not like Rigondeaux who just run all night.  Smiley I am not too familiar on his opponent but judging his boxing record, I know this guy is willing to exchange faces with his opponent.

I'm already expecting a heavy fight because both of them has their own goal and only by a way of win can meet those goals they have. The only difference is that Casimero is looking for a good fight where he can bounce back while Akaho is seeing Casimero as a way to get his name known in the international league. What I want to see is Casimero's mind games, I hope we can get some glimpse soon.

Both are banger, so obviously, this will be a war in the ring. And in addition, Casimero is entertaining and very brandish as per his previous fight. And most likely he will do that again in the ring, maybe toy with Akaho in the beginning of the round as if to say that he is not affected by his punches. So yeah even in the fight there will be mind games being played by Casimero and if Akaho is not careful and fall for this trick then definitely, Casimero might have a better chance of winning.
1658  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Is it really possible to quit on these reasons on: October 31, 2022, 04:56:50 AM
Not sure if those could be possible reasons to quit. As for me, I quit or at least stop for a certain period of time to gamble is because I don't have the source of income to begin with. I lose my job and my business didn't prosper way back in 2015.

So I doubt have a choice but to completely stop gambling for many years, or until such time that I have recovered enough. Specially when I join crypto later and made some money thru investments, I was able to get back at my feet slowly. However, I'm not that addicted anymore as compare to previous years. I still play but not that much.
1659  Economy / Gambling / Re: The History of Poker on: October 30, 2022, 05:39:37 AM
Indeed, poker is one of the oldies games in gambling.

Why people enjoyed and keep playing poker? It's because of someone skills, it's a pure skill unlike relying on pure luck on other gambling games. This is also why we have a list of best of the best in poker that is written on history of poker.

Yes, it's your skills vs someone, so in the beginning it's like you against like 5 players in the table. But as the game progresses it might be just 1:1.

Interesting history, although I'm seldom play poker, but I do like it, and we all know, there are a lot of small to big poker tournaments now. Even televised and got a lot of viewers and we have seen variations of it. Even in movies they are being glamorized:

https://filmthreat.com/features/7-movies-about-poker-you-must-see/

Yes, my favorite poker movie is Rounders.

It's really a skill base game and it takes practice and many tournaments to really sharpen your skills. I have a friend who occasionally join Poker tournaments in the US and there was a time that he broke into the top 7 in a tournament.

@mindrust - I like how you put it, yeah, for those who have been playing this game and serious about it, then it could be their lifestyle. I mean even in the pro ranks, you will hear them saying that they don't have anything to do in their life by to play poker.
1660  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why there is so much resistance at $23k price on: October 30, 2022, 05:20:37 AM
Bitcoin market prices have witnessed a lot of resistance and several attempts to make a head up the price of $25k after several weeks of a downtrend, there have been a lot of speculations surrounding the present market situation. But with the right thought and analysis, I am sure if Bitcoin could break the present resistance price moving upward would be that hard anymore.
maybe because we are near recession ? in which the effect will get even longer and bad? I'm not sure for what to come but if you are not ready to face such problem then best to leave the market or be ready for Hodling.

25k isn't even possible in our time now, look at the market, check the movement and you will understand what we are facing here now.
Not near but I heard we are already at it but it's great to see that btc price is recovering a little despite it. We don't know if how long the recession can last. It can be longer or shorter but true bitcoiners won't be affected by that. Many of us are not new here and this was not the first crisis that we experienced which had affected the price, so are we going to be affected with it this time? No. Not those who sell are losing but there are traders who bought after every small dip so it's possible for them to earn even during these times.

Well the market has been hit by the pandemic 2 years ago and we really dip in the $3k'ish and everyone was scared, but it was just 2 months before the block halving so the scare didn't last that long. And for sure we have learn our lessons that time. It will just take time for the market to bounce back despite what going on with the recession and war between Russia and Ukraine.

If we aren't among them and then we need some funds for emergency then it's also not wrong to sell some. I don't really recommend borrowing money but it can be a good option for some.

I'm also against borrowing money to invest, the risk is going to double on you if you do that strategy. You can just start investing small and you will be good in the long run.
