2661  Economy / Games and rounds / Re: Sportsbet.io 🥊 Anthony Joshua vs Oleksandr Usyk 2 🥊 (Saturday) on: August 19, 2022, 01:05:58 PM
My choice is already taken but I'll still post it here for the second prize. Cheesy Usyk bulking up in weight which means he intends to stop AJ in this rematch. Everything AJ learns from his new coach will be lost once he gets tagged and frustrated by Usyk's superior skills and boxing IQ.

1.  Oleksandr Usyk
2.  Under 10.5 Rounds
3.  Round 9
2662  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I started business many days ago. Now it's time to accept Crypto as a payment. on: August 19, 2022, 12:55:39 PM
+88 means you are from Bangladesh? And bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are not legal tenders in Bangladesh. Or do you mean that it is still called exporting even if you are selling them within your country?

If you are selling rice within your country and accept crypto payments then perhaps it won't be a problem and I salute you for that. Unless rules are very strictly implemented like in my country. But you better be extra careful sharing it in public because either the authorities will catch you soon or corrupt officials will ask for bribes.

Exporting rice to other countries with crypto payments will be very risky as proof of payments will be needed during an audit.
I am exporting from my town to whole country. Not to the world. Maybe you understand it wrong. And here's your answer on legal and illegal facts
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5409470.msg60752789#msg60752789
i have explained it in this. please read it.
Thanks for the clarification. I'm glad that your country even if it is yet to officially call bitcoin and cryptocurrencies as legal tenders are already welcomed with open arms on regular transactions. I hope my country will follow as well. My country actually started stricter with our financial system including cryptocurrencies after that Bangladesh central bank heist of which some of the money was laundered in my country.

And just a little correction, export means selling outside of your country. So you are not exporting my friend. Good luck to your business and I hope it will grow big.
2663  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Haney vs Kambosos II (Undisputed) on: August 18, 2022, 04:53:16 PM
Haney doesn't need to change his style though because that's his forte and it might be too late if he turns into an aggressive fighter from a defensive kind of boxer, he already reached far enough because of that style and became the youngest undisputed boxer in history of four-belt era.
Well if I were Haney, I will be worried if I wanted to become a huge PPV superstar like Canelo. Haney's style and zero knockouts since becoming a real champion have a limited market. But he and his team know this because they tried to fight dirty and brawled against Linares and Jojo.

I'm kind of curious though like who will Haney face next after this rematch because frankly, his chances to win again this rematch is much higher compared to Kambosos.
Just lately, it is official that Lomachenko is back to boxing. Before that, Arum already told Haney that he will get a Lomachenko fight so it should happen early next year. Haney mentioned last year that they might move up to 140. And Top Rank has the most number of popular fighters at 140 which is PPV worthy for Haney like its former undisputed champion Josh Taylor, ex-champion Jose Ramirez, Chon Zepeda, newcomer Teofimo Lopez, and Arnold Barboza. And if Haney prefers to stay at lightweight a little longer then he can defend his belts against the super-featherweight unified champion, Shakur Stevenson in a megafight.

I cannot find any source that Valve admitted to an error in their DPC points calculations. Valve just clarified that what is on their website is true and correct. I can understand the frustrations of Outsiders, the other eastern Europe teams, and some of the fans. Because in a perfect world, Liquipedia's previous calculations were actually very right. In the absence of points rulings like round-offs and the number of decimals then everyone will just stick to normal calculations which Liquipedia did (2 decimals). Without decimals, in calculator and excel, 168.30 becomes 168, and 159.80 becomes 160. I guess nobody expected Valve to turn 159.80 into 159. And for many years this should be the first time that Liquipedia's calculations differed from Valve's. And for many years, it is now pretty clear that there are no round-offs when it comes to DPC points. And perhaps Valve can also stop using the term 15%, 20%, and 40% penalties because that will only make Outsiders' total DPC to 2021 which is 1 point above Fnatic. Cheesy The correct term should be 85%, 80%, and 60% of the DPC points to remain if substitutions and removal of players happen.

Anyways, the company has spoken. Good luck to Outsiders, NaVi and BetBoom duke it out for a slot to TI.
2665  Economy / Economics / Re: Lenders and borrowers during inflation on: August 18, 2022, 02:34:19 PM
I get your point OP but I am very curious. Is your example realistic in your country? Man A's loan interest is 3.47% monthly while Man B's is 2.88% monthly. So these figures are normal loan interests in Nigeria? In my country, banks' interests are around 2% monthly. But I also heard that in very rich countries, personal loan interests are very low.

Somewhat. Although, there's no guarantee of it. We have to remember that assets generally depreciate in value because they get dings, scratches or just degrade with time. So, selling a second hand asset is usually more difficult than selling a new. Obviously, this sort of ignores collectors items, but cars for example are generally considered to have already lost a few k on their price as soon as you drive them off the forecourt.
Well, I assume OP's tricycle example is utilized for transportation services. Tricycles are common means of transportation in some countries, especially in rural areas and outskirts of cities. So it will be income generating. If I am right, then Man A benefits well since he is already earning income for a year.

I do not agree with the idea that borrowers are the ones who gain from this, only a few borrowers who know very well what they are doing and who have a great capacity for self-control do so.

In other financial threads I commented it: it is the debate of which system is better to improve your financial situation, Robert Kiyosaki's or Dave Ramsey's system.

The former advocates going into debt to acquire financial assets, mainly RE and the latter advocates getting rid of all debt and avoiding debt like the plague.

Mathematically for a robot or an AI, it would be Robert Kiyosaki's but in real life for most people it's Dave Ramsey's.
Perfectly said. And personally, I also prefer Dave Ramsey's system. Financial assets are accompanied by risks though just like what happened before in the US when its real-estate market collapsed. But I am also a huge believer in real estate and raw lands, only because my country is small with over 100 hundred million population.
2666  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 18, 2022, 01:29:31 PM
So the biggest NBA news today is Lebron James' 2-year contract extension worth a staggering $97.1 million. He now reclaimed the highest paid NBA player in the league and at the same time the highest total salary earnings in the history of the NBA which is half a billion dollars. The amazing achievement of an already 37-year-old baller. But we will see if his dream of becoming a champion once again becomes a reality. Many legendary veterans before like Tim Duncan and Dirk Nowitzki sacrificed huge portions of their salaries in order for the team to create openings and be able to compete at the top. The Lakers though is a different team since it is one of the richest teams in the NBA so maybe they are willing to pay an additional luxury tax of more than 100% of its players' salaries just like the Warriors.
2667  Economy / Economics / Re: Will Hong Kong consider Bitcoin? on: August 17, 2022, 02:36:34 PM
What I do know is that Hong Kong is part of China. I doubt that they will escape the scrutiny of the "parent" state even just planning to adopt an entity they are clearly opposed to. This is clear defiance.
Hong Kong is only administratively separated but military defense is still completely dependent on China. So taking the step of adopting bitcoin as a financial solution may just be a pseudo plan, or else they will have to let go of all dependence on China and become an independent country first.
Exactly and there is a very tiny chance that Hongkong can even secede from huge China. If the Chinese central government is opposed to bitcoin then it will never allow Hongkong to consider it as a legal tender. The Chinese central government is starting to show its muscles in Hongkong government. AFAIK there were a lot of deals from western nations that got canceled by China or by the west itself. Before 2030 I won't be surprised if Hongkong will already become a full pledged Chinese territory and democracy becomes in the name only.
2668  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: How profitable Is investing in a crypto casino or sportbook? on: August 17, 2022, 01:57:58 PM
Recently, I came across information about how much casinos earn and wanted to ask if this data can be extrapolated to the crypto sphere?

I know that crypto gaming portals are very profitable, but I have never come across information about how much crypto bookmakers can earn. I am especially interested in how the verified of corporate social networks affects the profits of the casino. I am also interested in how much crypto bookmakers earn on partnerships with football clubs. Any information or link to an article would be appreciated!
I am a bit confused of what OP is trying to get as an answer here.
Is it about investing in crypto casinos like what most gambling sites have features here. i.e. Yolodice (closed), Bustadice, etc...
Because they are profitable long-term but it's the reputation that you have to look out for.

Or is it about how much the bookies make?
I don't think there will be an answer here for that will be kept in secrecy. OP, are you trying to make an online gambling site or trying to be a bookie?

Exactly. My first thought is OP might want to start his own sports betting site. This won't be an easy task. The money invested alone to start is already difficult and very expensive and the next step is the marketing, maintenance, and of course its staff. And there are also no guarantees if the house will win but long term it should start to earn slowly. His sample of $10,000 earned in a year or let's say $40,000 net income in a year for 100 players. I think it is still not reasonable if the starting capital is worth a million dollars or even more.

You got a nice review website in there mate. I already tried using probably around 10 of the casinos and sports betting sites in your list. Maybe you can also add Bk8btc.com and Sportsbet.io in that list in the near future. Grin

I am not really against paid sports betting signals. But I find it awkward. I mean, if you are that good then why not bet for yourself and get rich? I can see many paid sports betting signals not just in telegram but some actually got websites and they are not really cheap with the so-called experts even showing their complete names. Well, pretty sure they followed a certain sport and watch it all the time, then study its stats, and then write their analyses for its paid subscribers.

Last year, I also joined a group wherein people are sharing their analyses and picks. I'm surprised some people were posting their picks with their analyses and then mentions for possible monetary tips if their picks will win.
2671  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Some Tips To Aide Successful Sports Betting. on: August 17, 2022, 12:06:10 PM
In the past, there was a time when I recorded in an excel sheet all my daily net wins or losses. I stopped it already and just now I realized how funny it was although useful. The main purpose at that time was to try earning daily from betting. I was doing casino games, especially dice, and of course my favorite sports betting. I did it for nearly a year. I can say, I mostly came up with a net win daily. And I can also see my grand total net profit and it was pretty decent.

Discipline and contentment are really the main keys IMO. We should always remember that we do not have to earn millions of dollars in order to be happy. This way, greed will not rule our minds.
2672  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Crawford vs Spence on: August 17, 2022, 08:55:19 AM
Ennis name though is cropping up, at least I heard Crawford talk about him, meaning he is all aware of what is going on in his division and maybe looking at the threat outside already, good sign of a well IQ boxer.

Because PBC is grooming Ennis as its next welterweight star. He is a good fighter with an excellent record of 29-0-27 but I feel like PBC is babying him. Unlike Butaev and Stanionis who only got 14 and 15 fights only but they already held the WBA regular belt and fought each other too. Vergil and Spence used to be friends as both came from Texas but there was a time that they had beef a few years ago but was settled later on. There were also talks about Vergil Ortiz and Bud Crawford before but it didn't materialize. I believe these 4 young stars will beat Thurman and maybe Crawford and Spence too after a year or two. That's why Bud and Spence should really fight this year and then they can move up in weight in order to fight the other big names.

Thanks for this info mate, seems to me that you are one of the walking vocabularies in boxing on this forum  Smiley.

I also think that Top Rank also has be blamed for why Crawford has not faced other big names in the welterweight division as for me they are babying him and not rushing him to fight the likes of Spence or Thurman but on the other hand, it might also have some advantages as hyping fighters will make more money in the end.

I don't know but I think it was my first year or second year of high school when boxing became my favorite sport. Probably influenced when I joined gangs during that time. Cheesy

As for my observation thru the years. I don't think Bob Arum or Terrence Crawford himself are scared or staying away from the other popular welterweights. I read and saw a lot of videos wherein Bud and Arum were trying to fight the PBC boys namely; Spence, Thurman, Danny Garcia, and Porter. It should be Al Haymon of PBC that is not willing to risk his underdog fighters to Bud. Ever since the creation of PBC, I cannot remember them risking a big name to a favorite fighter from another network. The Fury-Wilder happened because Wilder was favored to win over fat and recently returning Fury. Porter already had 3 losses when PBC allowed him to fight Bud, probably as a measuring stick for their main guy Spence. But these are common in boxing though those promoters will look for fights against other promoters' superstars when their fighters are favorites to win.

Speaking of trades, there seems to be a renewed interest on Donovan Mitchell from the Hornets and the Wizards.

It's going to be interesting to hear as well what will be the package that both teams are offering Utah in exchange of Mitchell.

Backcourt of Beal/Mitchell? or Ball/Mitchell? which make sense?

This was reported by:

https://twitter.com/ShamsCharania/status/1559604416906272768
I'll go with Beal-Mitchell. Bradley Beal is more experienced than LaMelo Ball. However, Charlotte Hornets seem more eager to spend money than Washington Wizards. But we will see what will happen. I'll be glad for Mitchell to get traded than stay in a rebuilding team. New York Knicks is still interested in Mitchell and they also have very promising young players.

Are there people here that play NBA Fantasy on either ESPN or Yahoo? If you need another hardcore participant then consider me. I prefer 16 teams though to make it more intense and interesting. Grin
2674  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: August 16, 2022, 06:06:53 PM
Idk if this is legit or not, but T1's social media handle announced Topson and Ana as new members of their roster. Terrible edit for Topson and Ana on wearing T1's jerseys but apparently a lot of known names in the industry have been acknowledging this announcement. I thought T1 was going to poach some players from SMG or any other SEA-based teams, but they decided to go all in and get Ana and Topson.

And it seems like it's legit. Even OG's twitter handle commented on the status: https://twitter.com/OGesports/status/1559556112516628481

Oh, this is a nice surprise. I searched it and found an article.

https://afkgaming.com/dota2/news/t1-play-with-topson-and-ana-in-ti11-sea-qualifiers

Apparently, ANA is the only newest addition to T1. Topson is still a stand-in for the SEA region qualifier.

I thought Topson wanted to play to a Europe team, but I guess there is no offer from other teams.

With this development plus the news that FNATIC got a ticket to TI 11 too, then T1 might actually have a chance to enter TI11. There is lesser competition now that FNATIC is not joining the brawl in SEA Qualifiers.

TOPSON has already adopted to SEA game styles, hopefully, ANA will be able to adopt too in a short period of time.

So it is really happening then. Earlier today I saw T1 posting a picture of Spectre so I guess it was meant for Ana. Although there were speculations already for Ana joining T1 even before Gabbi, I never took them seriously. There should be other teams in Europe offering Topson but maybe he wanted to give it a try with T1 because of Ana. They already have great chemistry plus huge experiences so it's a plus.

It seems like Valve was under the influence of politics after dropping Outsiders. I'm just not satisfied with their calculations.
2675  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: August 16, 2022, 05:32:37 PM

A lot of basketball fans around the world reacted to this photo wherein Brooklyn superstar KD played with Boston's main man Jayson Tatum. It seems that there is still a secret ongoing trade deal and maybe they are testing the 2 superstars' chemistry. Jaylen Brown fans aren't happy seeing this. But for me, a Brown believer ever since, I don't care if he will be traded in Brooklyn. Brooklyn is a rich team and if Jaylen will play there then there is a big possibility that he will become their main guy unlike in Boston. Kyrie is not young anymore with an attitude and bad shooter Ben Simmons got an attitude too.
2676  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Canelo vs Golovkin 3 - September 17 on: August 16, 2022, 05:12:47 PM
So far, only one thing is clear that four years have passed since the last fight between Canelo and Golovkin, and if Canelo has become stronger during this time, then GGG has become four years older, of course he should not be underestimated, but it seems to me that it is not worth expecting much either.

My same thought too. Although this is still a super-huge event, this is the type of fight that I can take a pass when there are other more interesting kinds of stuff to do. But if old GGG scores an upset or somehow makes the fight close then I will watch the replay. Grin

It is pretty clear that Canelo over the years evolved into a different level fighter after becoming undisputed in super-middleweight and snatching a belt at light-heavyweight. While GGG obviously depreciated as a fighter and another thing is he will be moving up in weight too which I believe will be his first time to fight as a full super-middleweight.

And just as EG and Outsiders barely made it into the top 12 for an automatic TI invite. I have here the most painful award, and it goes to Fnatic. Cheesy Peace Fnatic fans, I can feel the pain with that 0.05 DPC points differential.

Btw, have you seen the dpc points for Fnatic? It seems that the dota 2 leaderboard shows that they're the ones qualified and up by a few points for TI and not Outsiders.

Still waiting for some official announcement from Valve.

Look here --> https://www.dota2.com/esports/ti11/tistandings

Yes. I first saw it on Facebook when Fnatic fans are showing screenshots taken from the official DOTA 2 website. I think there was an error in the computations in DOTA 2 site and Liquipedia is showing the correct points (2 digits round-off). Unless there are penalties? But it will be weird if the penalty is less than a single point. Here is my calculation;

  120.0000 -1st major regional qualifiers.
78.0000 -Supposed 1st major. 130 less 40% for the substitution.
  198.0000 -Sub total
168.3000 -Less 15% for player removal
    20.0000 -2nd major qualifiers
  188.3000 -Sub total
160.0550 -Less 15% for player removal
  500.0000 -3rd major qualifiers
  360.0000 -3rd major
1020.0550 -Total DPC points

Devin Haney trolling his rival Teofimo Lopez. His latest tweet was only a few minutes after Teofimo's win and many noticed it right away, especially ESPN's ringside commentators of the fight. I love it. Keep the heat going on. At least Haney walks the talk and is an undisputed champ, unlike Ryan Garcia who only owns social media belts. But Haney should not look past Kambosos though as that ex-champ has nothing to lose and might go all in their rematch.
