1721  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it good to accept crypto as a payment? on: February 24, 2023, 11:55:24 AM
Business-wise, you have to consider all types of payments if you want to expand your market as much as possible. The volatility of cryptocurrencies is a concern but there are already many companies that are creating platforms in order to make crypto payments converted into fiat automatically. Personally, I will not convert the crypto payments into fiat automatically since I knew we are still in an accumulation period and next year is already the halving year of bitcoin. So if I were a businessman, I will take advantage of the cheap prices of crypto right now and cash out during a bull season.
1722  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Big businesses, corporations also influence the price of cryptocurrency market. on: February 24, 2023, 11:33:58 AM
Cryptocurrencies like bitcoin will only become successful if they become mainstream and adopted by the normal world. This means it includes these big businesses too since they are usually the gateways to ordinary people like us. Businesses as well have to be innovative if they want to continue on top of their markets and last long. There are many businesses that are considering cryptocurrencies already and many of them are just waiting for the go signals from different governments since they need to follow its rules and regulations.
1723  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have bitcoin, what do you guys recommend I buy as well on: February 24, 2023, 11:13:17 AM
That's right. Bitcoin is always the priority and main coin that we hold. Apart from bitcoin, I am also keen on Ethereum and BNB which I hold a little and planning to buy more this year and early next year. I also have my sights on Hedera and Syscoin.

Apart from these potential coins, I am also looking for very small market cap coins  I can invest for a chance to earn x10 or more since I don't think my main coins can increase to x10 in the next bull run. So far, Rebelbots and League of Ancients are 2 lottery coins I am watching and I might buy some soon.
1724  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Share Tips For Newbie Traders on: February 24, 2023, 10:53:18 AM
I never experienced boredom when the times I trade regularly. The price actions and the thrills were there most of the time. And I used to have a lot of online friends in crypto and many of them are trading as well. So we were sharing tips, ideas, and analysis. I feel I was wasting too much time and effort when I had bad months. Usually, a month or two bad months and I quit being an active trader again.

This time I am starting to do random trades again but most of the analysis came from people I am confident and then I just make a simple review if I can follow their charts. This way it saves me time and effort. But I cannot deny that once I am trading again, it is tempting me to focus into trading again which may not be bad during bullish periods.
1725  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Life's first investment in Bitcoin by selling bicycles on: February 24, 2023, 10:32:52 AM
Nice determination to invest and buy a part of bitcoin. But hopefully, the bicycle you just sold is not a necessity for you. Many people in other countries use bicycles as their regular mode of transportation to go to work and on their way back home. Meanwhile, your investment might turn $200 in a couple of years or even more in the long run which is enough to buy another bicycle plus the extra profit. Just be patient, don't get tempted and emotional on the big up and down swings and if you have extra savings from your regular income, a DCA in other smaller amounts would be great too.
1726  Economy / Economics / Re: Economic implications of a US-China-Taiwan conflict on: February 23, 2023, 12:32:51 PM
What are the chances of this conflict happening?
1. China will not attack Taiwan unless it declares its own independence.
2. Taiwan will not declare its independence.
The only time China will dare to attack Taiwan is if the US military and economy drop big compared. More than 2 decades ago, analysts predicted China to surpass the US economy by the 2020-2030 range. And they seem right. It was also stated that China will surpass the US military by 2050. So unless Taiwan declares independence, China won't attack until 2050 onwards. The US knew its situation and if it cannot win the economic and diplomatic games, it might be the one to trigger a war before the Chinese military is at par or more powerful than the US.

If war broke out. It will become a world war. South Korea, Japan, Australia, and probably India too knew that if the US lost the war, there won't be any buffers or protection for them against China. So this is highly to become a world war and the world economy will be in the worst scenario, especially for countries that are located near and in between these countries. And most likely that a losing side might resort to using nukes to change the tempo of the war.
1727  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: February 23, 2023, 12:04:04 PM
First-day matches of Lima Major seem even and unpredictable. BetBoom was the 3rd favorite before the start of this event but was zeroed out by Shopify Rebellion. I have a feeling that they won't be in the upper bracket. Entity though they faced lower teams, at least it build their momentum leading to their series today against Shopify Rebellion.

No early bets for now as the tendency of 1-1 are still very possible. I am just planning to bet on 2nd maps once those favorite teams lose their 1st maps. Maybe this is the safest while still observing.
1728  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Devin Haney vs Vasiliy Lomachenco - May 20 on: February 23, 2023, 11:29:45 AM
Lomachenko is very good and even looked invincible but that was during his prime. He is now in his mid 30s and physically he won't be the same anymore. If he wins over Haney, it means even his old version is still good enough to win just like what old Pacman, Donaire, GGG and Beterbiev are doing.

I'm amazed as to how Top Rank inspite Bob Arum getting old and not the same promoter as before and the recent lost of Crawford, it continues to have the best fighters. Shakur Stevenson with or without Loma and Haney will surely get his title fight this year. I believe Haney is moving up if he wins.

Yeah, and Bob says that he Shakur is scheduled to fight the winner of this fight. Bob still attracts good boxers though, and those that don't want the control of Al Haymon and Oscar Dela Hoya. But there are boxers that also wanted to separate from him like Crawford, and like the more touted Edgar Berlanga

https://www.badlefthook.com/2023/1/18/23561168/edgar-berlanga-top-rank-part-ways-promotional-free-agent-boxing-news-2023

So let's see who's going to win in this fight because he still has his hands full in his next fight against Shakur.

Personally, I like Eddie Hearn, he is the best since he is willing to risk his own fighters just for the sake of making the big fights and he's got DAZN also which has the deepest pocket. What is good about Bob Arum is his smarts and experience, he seems to be the most successful when it comes to making prospects into superstars. And Bob Arum acknowledges skills which is why he was able to guide and promote the very best like De La Hoya, Mayweather, Pacquiao, Crawford, and now Fury, Inoue, Taylor, Shakur, Loma, Haney, and many more.

Berlanga's contract with Top Rank ended and well, Matchroom is probably the richest promoter nowadays. Still, I believe Berlanga is a bust. He is a hype and won't become a champion which is most likely the reason why Top Rank is not willing to match Matchroom's offer.

Anyways, I wonder what the future of Haney and Shakur brings. They are very talented but their lack of power might limit the divisions they can conquer just like Loma accepted that lightweight is his last division.
1729  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: February 23, 2023, 11:09:55 AM
LOL! Do people really believe that the Clippers will not benefit from acquiring Westbrook, and instead will struggle?

The odds should increase, not decline, but from what we are seeing, it seems like the bettors do not appreciate the decision of the Clippers to acquire Westbrook. Well, it's too early to conclude just yet. Let him play first, and then we will decide. As for me, I have a feeling that Westbrook will not be criticized with the Clippers; the opposite may happen.

Westbrook has damaged his legacy with the Lakers. You can't blame the fans for having high expectations from Westbrook, given that he was known for being a triple-double machine. However, it turns out his shooting has been at its worst. He was only somewhat useful when called on in the second unit, so the Clippers should think carefully about whether to start him, or at least give it a try.

I cannot blame these bettors anyways. There's a reason why the Lakers have been trying hard to unload Westbrook even before the start of the season due to his declining stats. Westbrook is really not that bad of a player, but his $46 million salary this year made him bad. The Clippers made a huge gamble because if Westbrook performs well, they will have the advantage of re-signing him again and they can also let him go next season if he becomes unwanted. At least the Clippers' gamble is only good for a year although still very costly.

Mas okay pa din talaga maraming options lalo pag millions ang e-widraw. Mas iwas sa mga possible suspicious coming from the exchanges. Di nako updated sa CoinsPro pero dati kasi 5 million monthly cashout limit ko sa Coins.ph at iba pa yung 15 million sa CoinsPro. Usually ginagawa ko dati puro galing CoinsPro withdrawals ko. Meron din p2p sa Binance which I feel more comfortable with these last few years.

I've listed my reasons why I think Volkanovski won, but the judges see it different, and Volk knows that better than we do. So, he's got work to do in the rematch, since he'll need to convincingly beat Islam. Hopefully, via a finish.
I am just saying that Volkanovski can't be best pound for pound fighter, despite his great performance, he lost the fight.
Now I am hearing news of Islam's mother saying that she wants to see him quit fighting, and we all remember that was the reason Khabib retired from MMA at the top.
We don't know if Islam will do this, but in my opinion this is two different situation and Khabib is much better than both of this fighters, but we can only test this in virtual games now.
https://www.lowkickmma.com/islam-makhachev-mother-wants-him-retire/

It is only a common practice that a p4p king losses that recognition if it lost its next fight even if it was outside of its normal division. But technically, it is not really a guarantee. The fight was very close and could've went either way tbh. P4p ranking is based on fighters' divisions and Volkanovski still seems invincible in his division.

Let's see if Makachev will listen to his mother since his dad seems to support him all the way. I believe Makachev will continue with his career. Still too many big and winnable fights for him. Instead of a rematch, I personally would love to see him defend his belt against either Oliveira and Poirier, or even Gaethji (needs a win first before facing Makachev).

This coming February 25, This could be a Stephen Fulton VS Brandon Figueroa fight but it was canceled or it was rumored to be in this event we are still having a great event and for me, I would surely make my pick here I haven't seen any other thread about this fight so check this out

Showtime Championship Boxing: Matias vs. Ponce

Saturday 02.25.2023
Promotion: TGB Promotions
Location: Minneapolis, Minnesota
...

Most likely it was Fulton and Figueroa headlining this event but this main undercard is now lifted as its main event. This is another good fight. Subriel Matias is probably the more polished but I am hoping for Jeremias Ponce to score an upset. Hopefully, Ponce won't be too reckless with his aggression because Matias is also a KO artist. The biggest names in their division are all in Top Rank, Josh Taylor, Jose Ramirez, Teofimo Lopez, and the possibility of Devin Haney coming up too. And we may not see Matias facing them due to his contract with PBC so it is better and more exciting for boxing if Ponce wins.
1733  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: February 22, 2023, 11:50:22 PM
Ever since Boxrec created its own dumb division rankings and p4p rankings and are sometimes used by casuals, I'd been hoping of another record tracker website that is reliable enough to replace them. It's my first time to hear Martialbot but sadly a simple record of a future HOFer they failed to show correctly. Donaire's title fight record is actually 17-5-12 KOs. It's nearly impossible for a 4 division champion to only have 10 title wins. Donaire's return to bantamweight alone, he made 4 wins over Burnett, Young, Oubale and Gaballo. Hopefully, they can correct it and avoid further mistakes, otherwise it will never be used by the hardcore boxing community.

Wow! We have early picks here already for the Lima Major. 23 hours left before the start of the games. I still want to see how PSG.LGD performs since they are not the same team and they are also playing with a substitute. LGD though remained the slight favorite.

I can't wait to see Execration the new #1 team in the SEA play against Tundra the defending TI champion. I'll be happy if they can get 1 map here.

Meanwhile, Team Secret got jokes. Cheesy Hopefully this team just like last year will be able to catch up and still be present in this year's TI.
1736  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: February 21, 2023, 03:26:56 PM
I am also confident of a Donaire KO win but his inactivity plus his age might be a factor if he can't stop Santiago in the first half of the fight. Donaire is not fast anymore but he is accurate although he might become slower with low output in the second half.

Santiago since his draw with Jerwin Ancajas had an 11-1-7 KOs record. His lone defeat was the controversial majority decision of Gary Antonio Russell. He might be underestimated here but he is really capable of beating Donaire by decision.
1737  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Nonito Donaire vs Jason Moloney on: February 21, 2023, 03:06:22 PM
Thank you guys for participating in the discussion. For now, it's been official that #4 Alejandro Santiago was granted by the WBC the chance to fight Nonito Donaire for the vacant belt. I still think it is unfair for the #3 Raymart Gaballo who is available yet mandated to fight #2 for the chance to become mandatory on the winner between Donaire and Santiago.

I do hope Gaballo gets a crack for the WBO belt against Moloney since he is ranked #4. #2 Vincent Astrolabio and #3 Emmanuel Rodriguez are already fighting for the IBF belt.

Let us continue the discussion about Donaire at [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title .
1738  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful Many New Tokens on Coinmarketcap are on: February 19, 2023, 06:04:54 PM
I noticed many shitcoins a long time ago listed in Coinmarketcap. Right now, I am using Coingecko and I noticed that they have fewer listings than Coinmarketcap. But I do not think that it is proper to use the listings of Coinmarketcap and even Coingecko as the basis of our investments. We need to read the Whitepaper, the team, seed investors, token distribution, and many more. It is our hard-earned money anyways so we should also make effort on selecting the coins we want to invest in. And as what the crypto community always says, "DYOR".

- It is not time-consuming if people would just HODL their bitcoins for the long term.
- All losses are irreversible either in betting or trading. All l losses are irreversible either in investing in stocks, bonds, and establishing businesses.
- There are more scammers in the old fiat system than in decentralized cryptocurrencies.
- Some people are discouraged upon hearing big names telling us to avoid cryptocurrencies.
- People are shocked and are dying of any causes. Is there a high chance of dying when you are a crypto believer? Grin

Wow! We had great fights this weekend. I was late to realize that the Luis Nery vs Azat Hovhannisyan fight was promoted by GBP since the last time I saw Nery was fighting at PBC. Now Nery will have his 2nd title shot in this division and is waiting for the Inoue-Fulton winner. Nery is really vulnerable in this division.

In the other exciting fight this weekend, I'm so glad Mauricio Lara finally become the champion that he deserved already when he beat Josh Warrington earlier. Former champion Leigh Woods might activate the rematch clause though and will force Lara to return to the UK again.
