2121  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: December 13, 2022, 11:59:07 AM
Team Liquid really wants to be a double TI winner no matter what and they just transfer Nisha to be their mid from now on and personally I didn't expect at all this move , or to be more specific , I didn't expect Nisha to leave Secret anytime soon.
When Team Secret announced his departure to the team, I was also surprised. But I think Nisha is still a young talent that looks to have something different because it's been 4 years when he's with Team Secret. And I guess he just want to aim higher and reach for the TI aegis and that's through changing his way and leaving his former teammates. Team Liquid is a strong team as well, micke shifting to pos 1 and they now have Nisha's versatility and consistent performance.

I think it was Puppey's decision to remove Nisha. It was really surprising because they finished strong in TI and the rumors were only if Crystallis will remain or not. The decision seems like a downgrade to Team Secret. Now it is Team Liquid that is willing to sacrifice some positions just to take Nisha which I believe will be worth it.

I am way more curious and excited to watch the South and North American frontiers. EG is looking to dominate its new region and the new team Shopify Rebellion. I am not happy Bulba is with the new team captained by Fly.
2122  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Candidates for the WORLD CUP 2022 Winner on: December 13, 2022, 11:28:11 AM
Now there are only 4 remaining candidates, Argentina, France, Croatia, and Morocco. I'm feeling like this is a toss-up. We have good attacking teams Argentina and France against defensive teams Croatia and Morocco. The goalkeepers would favor Croatia and Morocco IMO. And I am tempted again to bet on the underdogs. I won a 5.82 odds when Morroco upset Portugal. I do not want to go against Argentina even though my mind says that Croatia might have a better chance of winning against them than Brazil.

As a fan, I am hoping Argentina will face Morroco in the finals.
2123  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 13, 2022, 11:06:30 AM

Currently, Joel Embiid is listed on the 4th KIA MVP race behind Luka Doncic and Jayson Tatum is on the lead from 2nd to 1st. It will be an interesting race as long as the named ballers won't get any serious injury this season. Embiid is back again and looking forward to get the award that he haven't got last season because of the said injury that cost him that award.

If I remember it right, he almost wins that title last season but injury hits him and Jokic takes that for the 2nd time,

Embiid will always be a contender, but the competition this season is very tough. A lot of impressive stars who are shining and the
impacts are really being noticed,

I like either Tatum or Doncic to win this year, both are doing an impressive game performance, they just need to continue what they
are doing to make their stats more impressive.

It will bring them the title if they consistently produce numbers and continue to empress the fans.

The stats would really favor Doncic because it seems Dallas Mavericks is currently a 1-man team. Whereas Tatum had another superstar and very reliable teammates to share the stats. In the end, the panel members will be the main decision-makers since voting is just a small chunk of the percentage. They will also consider the overall team performance in which the Boston Celtics and Milwaukee Bucks showed consistency.

We still have 50 or more games and we hope everyone stays healthy. Maybe other names will appear like Steph Curry if he continues his stats and if Golden State Warriors will start their own win streaks to finish strong.
2124  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 13, 2022, 10:38:46 AM
Prograis is a nightmare match up for anyone at 140 lbs, although he lost to Josh Taylor, it was a very close and hard fought match, others score it a draw (including myself). So I don't think Lopez could win against the top dog in this division. Maybe he will have a difficult time against Catterall if they fought.

And then he became the mandatory, and should be waiting for the winner of the Prograis vs. Ramirez. And if there's no boxing politics between, then this fight could be made, either winner though will be a very exciting match up for Lopez.

with only 1 loss in this division, Regis Prograis is really a nightmare, for Teofimo Lopez but knowing Lopez he would surely take this on he really wants this badly, in getting much division and turn himself into a legend he needs this fight, for sure he still not in the middle of what he is after, and he doesn't have much time because like another boxer ring rust is the enemy of many boxers and fighters so they need to push through, but yes it will be a big challenge for Teofimo Lopez and this is also for his career,

I have to admit that I missed watching that Taylor-Prograis unification bout nor did I watch a full replay. Highlights can be biased to judge a fight. Gone are the days when I cannot miss good match-ups, especially a unification fight between 2 undefeated fighters. I did take a look at the punch stats and I was surprised that Prograis was winning it easily.

I also do not see Teofimo Lopez winning against Prograis. Prograis is not that skilled but his power can either score a KO or change a tempo of a fight. Bob Arum will try to make it safe for Teofimo. All the top names in 140 belong to Top Rank anyways except Prograis whose promoter seems willing to work with any promoters and networks. Maybe Bob will allow Ramirez to fight Prograis. If Ramirez wins it could be a fight with Teofimo but if Prograis wins, I doubt Bob will do that. I even doubt Ramirez will face Prograis since they are looking forward to the WBO belt which will either become vacant or face Catterall.
2125  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: December 13, 2022, 10:11:53 AM
No update until now? Despite being in the same stable, they still find it difficult to negotiate. Who is at fault here? Is it on Thurman or Spence? I had reservations about this fight occurring as soon as I saw this topic. Spence previously stated that he would not offer Thurman one of his three belts. To settle this fight, perhaps the WBC should simply move forward with a purse bid. We don't want to lose time by waiting around.

I would want to see Thurman or Spence take on Ennis and Ortiz Jr.

Good to see you here mate. It seems like this fight may not happen at all after Errol Spence had another car accident. He mentioned that his leg is injured although I cannot find any more news about the severity of his injury.

You know the WBC, they are up for the money and they do not want to mess with big promoters as well which means Vergil Ortiz is probably out of the picture for Thurman. The WBC might also consider a garbage interim belt while Spence is still healing.
2126  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Artur Beterbiev vs Anthony Yarde on: December 12, 2022, 04:50:53 PM
So still nobody voted for Anthony Yarde to win this fight. Honestly, I also think that Artur Beterbiev despite his age and fighting in front of Yarde's hometown fans will deliver another KO. But, I won't take Yarde lightly, the guy is huge, strong and has the power to hurt Beterbiev as well. A total of 40 knockouts in their combined 23 wins, I guess we won't hear the final bell here. The experience though is clearly too much on Betebiev's side. The guy even hurt the current heavyweight champion Oleksandyr Usyk multiple times in their 3 amateur fights.
2127  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽⚽⚽ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk World Cup 2022 - discussion ⚽⚽⚽ on: December 12, 2022, 04:26:54 PM
I'm honestly very surprised and happy to make it, without a tiebreaker as well, not that I was even awake to see it, this whole day at office even I was so curious, I know I got 3 points, wasn't sure what the rest of my answers even were of if I got Portuguese lineup correct.

Anyway, it was nice, inthelongrun, and now I come up against CasperBGD, one of the most experienced forum users.

Thanks for the match mate. I think we only had like 3 different answers. You were correct in the under 3.5 Croatian on target which was my original answer too but I changed it before submitting it. I was still banking on to tie because I seemed very confident that you will be wrong on Lotauro to start but well, I guess nobody expected Argentina to go 5-3-2. Morocco-Portugal was like 50/50. In the end, it was a clear victory for you even if the lead was only 1 point since you would've smashed me again in the tiebreakers. Good luck mate. Hopefully, you'll win it all.

Thank you to cryptofrka, Trofo, Sportsbet, and everyone for this fun but very competitive tournament.
2128  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BTC or altcoin on: December 09, 2022, 10:42:15 AM
It depends on what you what? The surest and most stable is BTC, it could be easy x4 in the next couple of years. The most stable altcoins that are proven are ETH and BNB, these 2 coins can probably grow x10. The riskiest are the low market cap coins and the newly launched ones. They can grow x100 or even more but you can also risk losing your investment. My latest newly launched project where I spent $3,000 is now worth $10 although it might recover, it will be hard especially if its community, supporters, and investors cut their losses and left.

Even if it is only $800, you can still diversify it a little. Let's say $300 for BTC, $200 each for ETH and BNB and you can search for a low market cap coin or newly launched coin for the other $100. And you can also do a dollar-cost averaging on bitcoin.
2129  Economy / Economics / Re: From grace to grass:Reasons why a Well to do investor turned a nobody. on: December 09, 2022, 10:19:01 AM
There were many reasons why some huge successful investors failed later on. I have 2 reasons in my mind.

1. They failed to innovate. Your strategic success doesn't guarantee to become effective in the next months or years. This is proven over time in technology and even in trading and traditional investing. Change is constant.

2. Being complacent. There are a lot of sayings about being contented with what we have at the moment and being happy with it. But the thing is, we humans couldn't reach this stage if all of us stayed complacent. We should continue to grow.
2130  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Proof Of Income Will This Pass on: December 09, 2022, 07:37:11 AM
Well, I believe submitting proof of income worth $500 is not enough and is suspicious while your average deposit monthly in the casino is the same amount. Although your monthly bankroll doesn't mean you made regular monthly deposits since there are times you are winning. A decade ago, I was trained in anti-money laundering. That is why I am always careful with these casinos, exchanges, and banks. There are some ways to be safe though. Also, when it comes to gambling, we are lucky here in this forum since there are many casinos that have official threads here, although there are still issues but at least it is not that hard to connect with them and their reputations are at stake.
2131  Economy / Economics / Re: Use your money wisely. Invest or Deposit ? on: December 09, 2022, 07:14:51 AM
Wow! Reminds me of a few months ago when I thought of selling my house, maybe I'll have the same free money if it happened.

You can divide it into 2. 50% goes to crypto which is highly volatile. Out of the 50%, you can buy 2.5 bitcoins, and then for the rest, you can choose 3 to 5 altcoins. Just be careful with altcoins because they are very volatile but if you can make it right then the rewards will be very high too. Let's say $2k each to both ETH and BNB and then do a meticulous DYOR on 2 to 3 new projects or existing coins that have low market caps.
2132  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [Quiz 2022] History of Bitcoin and Bitcointalk 🚩 on: December 08, 2022, 03:03:43 PM
I bumped into this thread again. I think it was last month or earlier when I first saw this thread. I answered the questions and I only scored 8 or 9 but I tried it again right away with only 1 mistake or perfect. It's fun but confusing, and difficult. I don't think someone for the first time can score 15 in 10 minutes unless the guy is an old timer or very active in tracking stats and historical facts in bitcointalk. Guys like LoyceV, etc. can probably score high.

So after a month or two, I answered it again. Thought I remembered all of them.
2133  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 08, 2022, 02:24:44 PM
Yes, another star or core player that is versatile enough to know which area needed more focus to help the team achieve a victory in almost every game and can match Luka's energy so that he end up carrying the team especially when it comes to intense games. Just like Giannis who have Middleton and Curry who have Thompson. Honestly, that's what they've been lacking and if they can fill up that spot, I bet they can reach farther than what they reached last season.

Luka is still very young and has not yet reached his full potential. There is time for the Mavs to surround him with the supporting cast that he needs to push the team to a championship. Dirk took almost all his career before he became a champion, and it is worth the wait. Luka hopefully will not wait that long before the Mavs figure out the team they need to win. They should have learned now how to support their stars. They at least have 5 years to work it out with Doncic. It is either they develop their young, new recruit or acquire through trades, but they should not waste the opportunity they have with Luka.

What a big loss it could be if the Mavs will end up losing Luka in the future. Although it is hard to imagine knowing Mark Cuban is not just a team owner but a huge NBA fan and it is also early to speculate.

There was a time when Mavs brought in Kristaps Porzingis. It didn't work and the guy is too injury-prone. For now, the Mavs is pretty sure watching for their next potential target. I also believe that the Mavs can do better if Luka has reliable teammates he can lean on if he is having a bad night.
2134  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 08, 2022, 02:02:02 PM

I understand, and maybe we just held up our bars up too high and expect that Loma will be so vicious on his return in the ring. Apart from that, I also expect that he will send a strong message to his future opponents that he is back on business, but I guess we haven't had that impression when he fought against Ortiz.

Anyway, I'm inclined to give him a room for improvement because he just got off from the war and maybe this time will be much more different because there will be a title on the line. Looking forward to see that Loma will fight Haney next.

I really don't expect much from Vasiliy Lomachenko that much and even though the fight did not end viciously I really  think he doesn't need to do something like that or maybe he is hiding what he can truly do with Ortiz so some opponent will not evade him to fight I really think some boxer will not really play his ace card inside the ring or I may be wrong or he isn't really vicious enough,

Maybe it's the ring rust and of course, his mindset isn't 100% due to the war. Also, Vassily Lomachenko is already in his mid-30s, his IQ is still there but his physical abilities is starting to decline and he isn't the guy that has 1 punch KO that scares opponents. Maybe Loma is saving some of his techniques so Haney cannot figure it out. Haney won't duck Loma because it is the WBO mandatory unless he is moving up in weight which might be an option since he did struggle in weight during his rematch with Kambosos.
2135  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Create wealth first before the use of bitcoin on: December 08, 2022, 01:22:44 PM
I know many will think it is useless. Maybe it is not worth it knowing the people they were preaching to are living in poverty with no internet. But there is something positive I found, some of these people will realize that there is still hope. Some of the listeners will be empowered. Maybe they should be looking for jobs in the city in order to feed their family and somehow start their own savings little by little and then invest in something that can change their future.
2136  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Bearish market the right time to buy coins? on: December 08, 2022, 12:52:13 PM
Altcoins can be very risky compared to bitcoin. But I am not saying investing in altcoins is bad. After all, profit is what we are attracted to aside from the technology the cryptoverse brings. Just be sure to invest the amount you are willing to lose. The higher the risk, the higher the rewards. So pick carefully the altcoins you would like to invest in. And be prepared to track them always as everything will happen to them anymore, either it will shoot up or it will drop down to zero. Always DYOR.
2137  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What should be my fear? on: December 08, 2022, 12:32:27 PM
You probably know by now the need to keep your bitcoin safe from hackers and possible centralized exchange exits. The main concern is the fear which is related to investment. I think everyone or maybe 99% of people who invested money that they cannot afford to lose will continue to live with fear. I did it before, I studied bitcoin charts since the earliest I could get. So I thought that the past cycles would make me strong and overcome fear, I took the risk, and I signed a contract to assume a house and lot but held most of my assets in bitcoin. And then here comes the 2018 and 2019 bear seasons. I thought I can be alright knowing how confident am I that history would repeat itself. When it dropped from $19k ATH to $3k, fear beat me, I didn't expect bitcoin to drop that low and I cannot sleep well at night. So in the end I decided to sell all my bitcoins cheaply.

I learned the hard way. I should not have risked an amount that I cannot afford to lose.
2138  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading and investing, and still very broke.why? Is it spiritual? on: December 07, 2022, 12:32:34 PM
There are also levels of consistency and effort. Yesterday I saw a video on Youtube where a group of fishermen vloggers came to a realization. These fishermen were complaining that they need about an hour of effort to reach their fishing grounds and another hour to go home yet they aren't getting a lot. Yesterday they were invited by another group of fishermen vloggers (with over a million subscribers) so they visited them. They were informed that those fishermen vloggers with over a million subscribers will travel 2 to 3 hours just to reach a fishing ground and with the same hours going back. My point is those who made the extra mile will be rewarded more for their efforts. Trading and investing aren't just purely technical, it is psychological as well. Years before, I met someone online who's been making thousands of dollars with his daily trades. He told me that his skills and emotions are the products of months of sleepless nights over the years and that he read nearly a hundred books on trading.
2139  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How important is BTC to the Society? on: December 07, 2022, 11:48:54 AM
BTC opened our eyes that it is possible for a decentralized currency to exist. A currency free from the world and national politics and influence. A currency that is not inflationary. It will have more value over time. BTC's blockchain is telling the world that all our systems can be visible and immutable. In my country beset with corruption from local to national appointed and elected officials blockchain is the solution. A perfect world should be using blockchain and BTC as its currency.

You are an unbelievable OP. It seems like it is easy for you to say that World War III should happen. So what if your country is part of the war? Are you not concerned with yourself and your loved ones? Are you ready for it?

How deep is your knowledge of world history and current issues? Although I can assume it somehow when you mentioned that Russia should only pick one either Europe, the UK, or the USA. Mate, if it is only Russia and Europe warring with each other, it is not a world war. World War I battles mostly happened in Europe only but most of the world are controlled by Europe hence it was called a World War.

For thousands of years, war reset nations' and kingdoms' economies. Nowadays we have many countries armed with nuclear weapons that won't just reset our economies but are capable of destroying our whole planet.
