Wow! We have early picks here already for the Lima Major. 23 hours left before the start of the games. I still want to see how PSG.LGD performs since they are not the same team and they are also playing with a substitute. LGD though remained the slight favorite.

I can't wait to see Execration the new #1 team in the SEA play against Tundra the defending TI champion. I'll be happy if they can get 1 map here.

Meanwhile, Team Secret got jokes. Cheesy Hopefully this team just like last year will be able to catch up and still be present in this year's TI.
1742  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title on: February 21, 2023, 03:26:56 PM
I am also confident of a Donaire KO win but his inactivity plus his age might be a factor if he can't stop Santiago in the first half of the fight. Donaire is not fast anymore but he is accurate although he might become slower with low output in the second half.

Santiago since his draw with Jerwin Ancajas had an 11-1-7 KOs record. His lone defeat was the controversial majority decision of Gary Antonio Russell. He might be underestimated here but he is really capable of beating Donaire by decision.
1743  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Nonito Donaire vs Jason Moloney on: February 21, 2023, 03:06:22 PM
Thank you guys for participating in the discussion. For now, it's been official that #4 Alejandro Santiago was granted by the WBC the chance to fight Nonito Donaire for the vacant belt. I still think it is unfair for the #3 Raymart Gaballo who is available yet mandated to fight #2 for the chance to become mandatory on the winner between Donaire and Santiago.

I do hope Gaballo gets a crack for the WBO belt against Moloney since he is ranked #4. #2 Vincent Astrolabio and #3 Emmanuel Rodriguez are already fighting for the IBF belt.

Let us continue the discussion about Donaire at [Boxing] Nonito Donaire vs Alejandro Santiago for WBC bantamweight title .
1744  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Be careful Many New Tokens on Coinmarketcap are on: February 19, 2023, 06:04:54 PM
I noticed many shitcoins a long time ago listed in Coinmarketcap. Right now, I am using Coingecko and I noticed that they have fewer listings than Coinmarketcap. But I do not think that it is proper to use the listings of Coinmarketcap and even Coingecko as the basis of our investments. We need to read the Whitepaper, the team, seed investors, token distribution, and many more. It is our hard-earned money anyways so we should also make effort on selecting the coins we want to invest in. And as what the crypto community always says, "DYOR".

- It is not time-consuming if people would just HODL their bitcoins for the long term.
- All losses are irreversible either in betting or trading. All l losses are irreversible either in investing in stocks, bonds, and establishing businesses.
- There are more scammers in the old fiat system than in decentralized cryptocurrencies.
- Some people are discouraged upon hearing big names telling us to avoid cryptocurrencies.
- People are shocked and are dying of any causes. Is there a high chance of dying when you are a crypto believer? Grin

Wow! We had great fights this weekend. I was late to realize that the Luis Nery vs Azat Hovhannisyan fight was promoted by GBP since the last time I saw Nery was fighting at PBC. Now Nery will have his 2nd title shot in this division and is waiting for the Inoue-Fulton winner. Nery is really vulnerable in this division.

In the other exciting fight this weekend, I'm so glad Mauricio Lara finally become the champion that he deserved already when he beat Josh Warrington earlier. Former champion Leigh Woods might activate the rematch clause though and will force Lara to return to the UK again.

Brackets are already been made for the Lima Major of Dota 2. Look at the bracketing for group A and group B....

2 more days and we will see another great DOTA 2 action. And I am actually more curious about a series between Evil Geniuses and Shopify Rebellion. These 2 teams will have the attention of this major. Although we will have to wait a little longer as both teams are not in the same group. I'm not a fan of Bulba but maybe in this new team, Fly will be able to dominate a big part of the team's drafting and strategies.

The betting odds are picked Team Liquid, Tundra, and BetBoom as early favorites. Shopify Rebellion has 9x odds while EG is at x101.
1748  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Figueroa vs Magsayo WBC Interim Featherweight Title (March 4) on: February 19, 2023, 03:26:30 PM
Meanwhile, this division has a new WBA champion as heavy-handed hitter Mauricio Lara of Mexico scored another spectacular knockout to former champion Leigh Wood. It was a great fight and it will be interesting if any unification fights will happen in the near future. If Vargas will lose his WBC belt to Magsayo or Figueroa and the new champ wants to unify with the WBA champion, it will be a guaranteed war which is very entertaining to watch. The WBO belt is vacant while Luis Alberto Lopez also from Mexico won the IBF champion tiara just last December of last year.

Nice effort OP and thanks for sharing it here. I followed earlier the remaining games today that haven't started yet. I wish there were also more basketball games, especially in the NBA. I also join your telegram group already. We'll see how this goes and I hope you can bounce back on your picks today.

So far Clara Tauson seemed to be winning in her game against Greet Minnen. 3 more results later. Good luck mate and keep it up.
1750  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: February 18, 2023, 05:53:32 AM
How can a fight be made if he has pleased guilty? Any normal person would go to jail for hitting 4 people and fleeing the crime scene. I hate how rich famous people get away with everything. Any normal person gets jailed for many years for this. I hope Garcia knocks him out and teaches him a lesson I hope the fan base show that they are not supporters of him any more because of his hit and run. I used to like Tank but I have a entirely new view of him since I learned about this. I cannot believe he will get away with it and continue boxing.

Unfortunately, that's how the world works, rich and influential people can get away with it.

Anyhow, it's really hard to fathom that, but we might as well stay away from that issue and just again, hope that fight will happen. And probably this is one reason why so many people hate him like Bradley who also wishes that Ryan Garcia will knock him out cold so send him a rude awakening. Yeah, that ankle issue or him in a wheelchair could just be marketing ploy to sway people's opinion on him. But the question is, will it influence us? I don't think so.

PBC has a solid community of boxing worshipping Al Hymen. PBC fan boys are usually the ones paying for Tanks tickets and PPVs inspite of him not fighting for the championship belts. Only the boxing casuals and fan boys are the ones calling Tank a world champion. So any antics Tank is doing these people will believe and ride the hype. Tank is also a million dollar fighter so he won't be scared of those lawsuits. Either he will pay to settle it or make a community service or stay in prison for a few days.
1751  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: February 18, 2023, 04:39:57 AM
Another exciting match will come this weekend. The clash between Luis Nery against Azat Hovhannisyan at 122.

They just made their official weigh-in but Azat lacks only a few after weighing 121.6. Should not be a big deal though.

The winner of this match will be the mandatory challenger of who will win against Stephen Fulton and Naoya Inoue.

I haven't seen any of Azat Hovhannisyan but looking at his record, he is not an easy opponent and he also possess power. Luis Nery is a very good fighter, heavy handed, decent speed and tough chin but he is not invincible anymore in this division. In his fight with Brandon Figueroa, he was winning the early rounds and was hitting Figueroa with his power punches. But once Figueroa was able to figure out his game and was able to take those heavy power punches and deliver his own non-stop pressure, Nery succumbed and was stopped. This is Nery's chance to prove that he can still fight the best in this division or he should move back to his old division.
1752  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Teaching children Bitcoin is not in vain on: February 16, 2023, 01:00:13 PM
Basically, this is not the right way to mold a child. A 10-year-old kid should be able to enjoy his life's childhood years and should be more focused on learning the basics of education. But of course, there are always exemptions. There are children that are already interested in a higher level of interests so their gifts should be enhanced too. So if a 10-year-old kid showed interest in bitcoin then it's good but they should not be forced into learning about bitcoin if they are not interested. Sooner or later, bitcoin might be taught to high school students as part of finance or technology. Those are the ripe age to get introduced to bitcoin.
1753  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Stephen Fulton vs. Naoya Inoue - WBC and WBO 122 lbs bout - May on: February 16, 2023, 12:40:20 PM
Now's is the question whether Fulton has that ability to believed in himself to beat the Monster in his hometown.
We will know that once he is already in the ring because that's the only time he will feel how strong the punches of Inoue are.

I found a video saying Fulton is not willing to travel to Japan. I haven't watched it though as it might be a clicked-bait video. Fulton's confidence is clearly because he was able to withstand the heavy-handed brawler Brandon Figueroa who is clearly heavier than Inoue during fight nights. I myself cannot believe Fulton was able to survive and then continued to box in the championship rounds. The fight was very close though and I had a draw but 2 of the official judges awarded it to Fulton making him the unified WBO and WBC champion.

Inoue started as champion at 108 lb and is now 4 divisions north. It will be interesting if he can still manage to hurt bigger guys and if his speed remains after being added another weight. Personally, I think Inoue's speed will make a difference in this fight. Figueroa might be heavy but he is not as fast as Inoue. There's probably a difference in the impact when you already know that a punch is coming to your face or your body compared to getting hit unexpectedly by Inoue's very fast and powerful punches.
1754  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: who would you trust? on: February 16, 2023, 12:20:17 PM
I don't just simply trust anyone especially those gurus that are asking money for their secret lessons. Most likely these gurus asking for money aren't really earning in the market so they want to milk their trading knowledge which is actually non-guaranteed otherwise they don't waste their time on pay-to-learn schemes. It's been also proven over time that indicators don't work for long. Some indicators work in bullish or bearish periods and then suddenly it will stop working. If an experienced trader and a new hot trader are giving lessons for free then I will listen to both but we should also DYOR.
1755  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin 2023, Bullish or Bearish? on: February 16, 2023, 12:00:11 PM
There will be a lot of swings this year. But generally, I am bullish on bitcoin. We may reach $45k this year but I am not too confident that it will also hold that long since in the past it is always the year of the halving and its next year. So this year will be better than the last year which was the year of the correction. This year is an accumulation and of course, some traders might dump their holdings if a big upward swing happens and then buy back when it is down again. One thing I am confident about is we aren't going to see that $15k bitcoin price again this year.
1756  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I have always wanted to ask this about bitcoin on: February 16, 2023, 11:40:03 AM
First, bitcoin will never become stable money because of its limited supply. Even BUSD and USDT aren't really perfectly 1 is to 1 to the US dollar. Bitcoin will always have a high tendency of moving up in value. In the beginning, bitcoin is worthless or just a few cents but because it has a limited supply, people will flock and start bidding higher especially when the internet is becoming a norm these days. Online shopping and online money transfers are in billions of dollars and bitcoin is becoming a good option due to its decentralization.
1757  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Favourite MEME COINS? on: February 16, 2023, 11:20:23 AM
I am not really into meme coins and even in the past, I haven't really benefitted from some of these meme coins mooning. But maybe this time I am willing to gamble some small amounts. The bad thing about meme coins is they are not really going to the moon for a long time. Usually, they will get pumped for a small period of time and then it will dump. So when someone is invested in meme coins and is not online all the time, high chances are it won't be able to sell at the top. And meme coins are not fundamentally good coins which makes them riskier. Shiba and Doge are becoming exceptions but they are just 2 out of the thousands of meme coins created regularly.
1758  Economy / Economics / Re: Is it true that 80% of the world's wealth in the hands of 20%? on: February 15, 2023, 04:18:11 PM
This is the case ever since the history of mankind. Greed and power. I am not even expecting 20% since I thought that it is only 5% or lesser who controls the world's wealth. I remember when the world's richest billionaires are planning to redistribute most of their wealth and only left a few percent to their descendants but then another certain billionaire disagreed. That billionaire said that they are not supposed to scatter money to unproven people and instead they should continue to make more business and build their empires. It sounds greedy but there's also a point. Middle-class and poor people have different mindsets, unlike those billionaires.
1759  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: February 15, 2023, 03:58:08 PM
One week from now, the Lima major for Dota 2 is about to start. An extreme Dota 2 action is about to happen again. I've seen that there were teams already in Lima and enjoying some time there before the tournament starts. But as of now, there's this BetBoom universe tournament and already in the grandfinals, the teams that are fighting now and in their last match are Tundra and Team Spirit. Game 5 is about to end and Team Spirit is on the lead, those that might see this post can watch in on Twitch's live channel of BetBoom: https://www.twitch.tv/betboom_eng

There are no major tournaments right now either in CS or DOTA. I am not really into minor tournaments because it is quite unpredictable and bad for betting.

It is a rest for E-sports right now unless you are into some minor leagues.  There is also Valorant Champions tour but I do not know if there are sports bookies picking up this tournament at an early stage.

Anyway, it is just a few days before we witness great DOTA games again. I will save some fund for that event.

Although I sometimes watch minor DOTA events but most of the time I am also not betting. One more week and we will see the first major of the year. Not good but at least only PSG.LGD suffered from the common visa issues surrounding DOTA events. Meanwhile, HellRaisers players are having issues recently with their chemistry and plays. Daxak seems very vocal about their inexperienced coach and too-relaxed team captain but in the end, HellRaisers decided to just kick out Daxak from the team. Hellraisers are currently looking for a new player for their position 1.
1760  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Nonito Donaire vs Jason Moloney on: February 15, 2023, 02:51:48 PM
yes , Donaire seems like limiting his fight with 1 fight a year , maybe extending the fighting will improve his ranking and also His dedication , because Even Manny Pacquiao in his prime are having 2 fights a year and yes he maintain his speed and his momentum.
hope that Donaire's side will consider this as well.

I think he should do the opposite. Why would he limit his fights to once a year? He's already old, and the longer he stays in boxing, the higher the risk he will lose due to his age. I think he should have more fights so that he can accumulate more money once he retires

I am curious if Donaire was not able to save millions during his prime years. The reason why he is still fighting and risking his health. But I noticed that he seldom fights now. He seems to be selective of his opponents. Maybe Donaire only fights now when the money is worth it. After his loss to Inoue, he tried to get a title shot in the lower division in order to achieve his goal of becoming a 5-division world champion before retiring. I am surprised he was not getting that title fight knowing he is popular and a future HOFer. Maybe because Donaire's promoter Probellum is more linked to PBC and the champions are from other promoters.

An update on all the vacant belts:
WBA: Scheduled on April 8 in Japan, the belt will be contested between Takuma Inoue the brother of Naoya and Liborio Solis of Venezuela.
WBC: Nonito Donaire vs TBA
IBF: Negotiations are ongoing between Astrolabio and Rodriguez. If someone backs out Moloney is ranked 3rd
WBO: No official announcements yet. #1 Moloney backed out of his WBC slot. #2 Astrolabio and #3 Rodriguez are negotiating for the other belt. #4 Gaballo might get his chance here although there was also a WBC mandatory eliminator telling him to face Nawaphon Kaikanha of Thailand.
