2101  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 19, 2022, 04:28:23 PM
Some Upcoming Boxing Schedule that I have seen online,

Gervonta Davis vs. Hector Luis Garcia - Jan. 7: Washington D.C. (Showtime PPV)

I intend to bet on this Gervonta Davis vs. Hector Luis Garcia, Tank Davis has not fought for almost a year, that's a lot of months, so he may not be strong in terms of fighting, maybe just training will put him in good shape, but it's very different from being always fight, I hope this is not a problem for him at the time of the fight, I intend to bet on him, I don't see him losing in this fight

his opponent Hector Luis Garcia will have a lot of difficulties in this fight, he will have to prepare very well if he wants to avoid defeat, I believe that the bookmakers will put Tank as a favorite to win this fight and it's no wonder, the guy is strong, he knocked all of his opponents out of the 27 he faced, only 2 he didn't knock

As a new tradition, Japan will always have a title fight prior to the new year. This time it is Kazuto Ioka who will unify his WBO belt against WBA champion Joshua Franco. Kazuto Ioka is fresh from his revenge over former champion Donnie Nietes. I already have my bet on Ioka since last week. He is the first Japanese 4-division world champion and IIRC, his Japanese record of winning a world title in the fewest fights was broken by Naoya Inoue. Now Inoue is also wanting to tie Ioka's 4 division titles.

On January 6 prior to the Tank Davis fight, a double-header happens in Japan. IBF champion Daniel Valladares of Mexico travels to Japan to defend his belt against local hero Ginjiro Shigeoka. In the other title fight, the Japanese champion WBO Masataka Taniguchi will defend his belt against the Filipino Melvin Jerusalem. Hopefully, upsets happen. The Philippines do not have a world boxing champion right now which is unusual.

2102  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Borrowing money to invest in BTC ( My own past experience) on: December 17, 2022, 02:45:43 PM
I will never agree on borrowing money to invest in bitcoin. Even if the amount you borrowed is still within your reach to pay I am still not in favor of it. You only got lucky that BTC at that time was bullish. It's gambling already when you risk money on something you have zero to little knowledge about. Investing money can affect our emotions and borrowing money for investment will only make our emotions higher which can affect our next decisions. It's the same scenario last 2018 when I signed a contract to construct my house and at that time over 90% of my assets are in crypto, especially BTC. We all knew the lowest BTC price since the 2017 bull run happened in late 2018. I cannot sleep well for many days until I just decided to sell all my crypto assets at the cheapest price. Emotions will fuck up our logic. The higher the stake, the more our emotions can affect our minds. And just like playing in a casino, luck cannot be always on our side.
2103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Huge Binance outflows - should we be concerned? on: December 17, 2022, 02:20:06 PM
Nah! I don't think these huge withdrawals can bring Binance down. Ever since its decision to cancel the purchase of FTX and made it open to the public, CZ already knows possible attacks of any sort. I believe Binance can weather the storm, it's too prepared for this.

About the market, it is down already. Of course, it is affected since Binance is the biggest crypto exchange. Many are scared and didn't just withdraw their coins but sold them into fiat. For me, this is just FUD. My BTC buy order of $17.5k was hit. Now I need to cash in some funds so I won't miss this opportunity to buy at a lower price. The same scenario with ETH and BNB.
2104  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Fees on Dormant Accounts on Crypto Gambling Platforms on: December 17, 2022, 01:41:50 PM
Interesting because dormancy is the least I cared about when reading casinos ToC. Although I can remember when I failed to re-open some of my old unused accounts from various casinos including when I tried the lost password option. I didn't try chatting with the support for reactivation though as mostly I can just open a new account when the old one was closed already. I don't leave balances behind when become inactive in a casino.

Most of you probably disagree with the closure of accounts but I think it is fair enough as long as you are receiving their notice thru emails. 3 months though or even 180 days of inactivity are too early to consider an account dormant since there are many seasonal bettors. But in the end, so long as we are receiving notice from the casino then we have to take action so we will not lose our funds. Seasonal bettors can look for another casino too.
2105  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 17, 2022, 12:58:50 PM
Good win by the Lakers as well, it was a very close game, until late in the 3rd quarter when they got the momentum and continue it to the 4th. Another triple double for Westbrook, Reaves, Pat Bev hitting 3's outside and so is Dennis the Menace.

But the whole story is AD, looking to be injured again as he has to take a sit.

And then the old Lebron, can still dunk and run and deliver at the other end with a dunk.

It's a good win by the Lakers against the 3rd best team in the west. Aside from Lebron, the rest of the team really step up when needed most. But of course, this is just 1 regular game and they need AD. Maybe tomorrow there will be results already on AD's injury, I am not a Laker fan but of course, we want all these athletes to stay healthy to make the league more competitive.

On the other hand, my Miami Heat, at last, entered the top 8. Cheesy Although it is still tied with the Atlanta Hawks and Indiana Pacers. Miami has also a cute 3-game-win streak against mediocre teams.
2106  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Caleb Plant vs David Benavidez on: December 17, 2022, 10:16:39 AM
Reading your comments here raised my eyebrows. So this fight is not yet signed? I thought everything is 100% official. I don't like both fighters but earlier I was leaning towards Plant because of the incident that happened years ago where Jose Benavidez tried to harass Plant while training. I honestly believe Plant could've easily knocked the guy out pretty easily but Jose was accompanied by some people including his brother David, so Plant was put in an odd situation. But I hate Plant for demanding the brand of gloves and even wanting to be announced last when he is actually the challenger since David is the interim champ. I can understand though that Plant wanted a bigger ring size.

Interesting:

Artur Beterbiev vs. Anthony Yarde - Undercard Information

Quote
As BoxingScene.com previously reported, the WBA flyweight championship clash between the champion Artem Dalakian from Ukraine and Costa Rican challenger David Jiminez will take place in support of the forthcoming Artur Beterbiev-Anthony Yarde showdown at the OVO Arena, Wembley on January 28, live on BT Sport.

Ilford man Yarde challenges for the WBC, WBO and IBF world light heavyweight titles held by the undefeated Montreal resident, who holds a record of 18 wins with all 18 coming via a stoppage.

Dalakian, 35, won his world title belt in February 2018 with a points victory over Brian Viloria and has subsequently made five successful defences. He is unbeaten in 21 professional fights, with 15 of his wins coming via stoppage.

I always love to see boxing events that involve multiple championship fights or at the very least 50/50 fights. So this event is like a double-header already since we have 2 championship fights. Artur Beterbiev may be a huge favorite but he is in hostile territory and Yarde may take advantage of his youth in order to survive. I seemed to forget Dalakian already after he beat the former champion, Brian Viloria. I actually thought that he lost his belt already. Now Dalakian is facing an undefeated foe which makes it interesting to see.

2110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Starbucks Launches Beta of Web3 Odyssey on Polygon Network on: December 16, 2022, 12:34:16 PM
That's cool. Another company that is adopting crypto and decentralized chains. Earlier, I also read about Saudi Arabia accepting crypto payments from its telecom company in Bahrain. Bahrain is a small but super-rich emirate that is very interested in cryptocurrencies and the technology it brings. Starbucks is a huge company with massive public exposure, it helps immensely in promoting further crypto adoption either from its customers or even other companies, and governments since they will have more confidence to follow.
2111  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: turned gambler after investing in BTC or investor turned gambler? on: December 16, 2022, 12:09:04 PM
I am not a heavy gambler but I did gamble already ever since I had my own money to bet. So I fall into the category of a gambler becoming an investor although I haven't stopped gambling as well.

I am actually surprised that most of the answers are opposite to mine. Did you guys just start gambling after learning and investing in bitcoin? Although it is already in my mind before that investing in bitcoin will open you to crypto gambling which is far more friendly, accessible, and private. I hope you guys are all responsible gamblers, especially these days when money is hard to find.

2112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What will you do in this case? on: December 16, 2022, 11:47:42 AM
OP was asking for some insights since last week. I wonder what was his response to the guy. Personally, I would really stay away from coins and projects that are connected with FTX and Alameda. Fuel dropped around 50% already while Mina lost a third of its price since November. I do not know how much influence and money Alameda and FTX invested into these projects but it is very possible that a withdrawal is imminent in order to cover the damages done to its clients and investors. Authorities are probably going to liquidate all of Alameda and FTX's assets.
2113  Economy / Speculation / Re: How we know btc not going to 100$ ?? on: December 16, 2022, 11:20:44 AM
Weren't you the one advising as to why traders are not making profits? And how to attack in order to earn big in trading? Cheesy What happened to you mate? It seems like you're starting to become paranoid. No offense but how could you even think that bitcoin drops down to a hundred dollars or even $20? Are you planning to short big time on bitcoin with your so-called "attack big"? If you're thinking about a market crash, this is it already mate, last month bitcoin was $15k. The only thing I can think of that drives bitcoin down to your imagination is when a super-computer is invented which is capable of successfully attacking bitcoin. And if the world losses internet.
2114  Economy / Gambling / Re: BK8 - Biggest and Most Trusted Brand. Asia's #1 Crypto online casino BTC & USDT on: December 16, 2022, 10:22:34 AM
World Cup is going to end soon, means that World Cup promotion will end soon as well, anyone here make nice profit from the world cup promotion by bk8 so far?
As the euphoria of world cup will end soon but we are also heading other big event at the end of the year which is Christmas and New Year.
Hopefully BK8 will also offer great promotions to celebrate Christmas and New Year so players who are making profit during the world cup will also spend their money in new promotions of new events.

Instead of making a profit I think on the contrary, the world cup this time is a profitable year for bookies because there are many unexpected matches
Even favorite teams like Belgium, Germany, Spain and Brazil were kicked out basically more bets are lost  Cheesy  I suspect you also experience it right?
So then we are waiting for Christmas and New Year promotions somehow BK8 will provide it.

Same here mate. I am also losing in this World Cup. Although I am rooting for Argentina to win, I am actually 0-2 with my bets on them. Their defeat to Saudi Arabia leads me to bet only on selective games only. In the end, I am 7-7, a draw but considering the odds, I am losing. Anyways, let's expect more December promotions on BK8.

Maybe BK8 can run a short contest or even a raffle exclusive to forum members. All I want this Christmas is a BK8 jersey. Grin
2115  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 16, 2022, 09:55:13 AM
Great time for the future franchise players of GSW to shine now that Steph is out and some of the vets could not play on a consistent basis.
....

Voting for the NBA ALL-STAR will start pretty soon. I'm not really into this but I'm looking forward to the young stars that would likely get voted. Zion and Ja are already secured in my opinion and then you have Doncic and Tatum who are still in their early 20's.

This will be very challenging for GSW without their main superstar. They are already struggling and if they will only win 1 out of every 4 games without Curry, it might also mean that they can give up their goal to defend their title this season. But we never know, maybe all of a sudden the team will step up along with its young players.

It is interesting if there will be a new name in the coming All-Stars. Maybe someone from Utah Jazz if they are back in the winning column now that Markannen is playing again.
2116  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Candidates for the WORLD CUP 2022 Winner on: December 15, 2022, 05:55:51 PM
If Morocco can win against Croatia it will become a big history for Middle east nations since this is the first country that become 3rd position in world cup, the previous big achievement only enter to elimination phase, but they lost and can't enter quarterfinal match.

According to bookie the odds for Argentina vs France is really close or we can say same, so this is really a big match since a tough team will fight with a tough team too, not like Morocco that everyone already lost their hope lol. I predict France will win and back to back champion.

Many Moroccans consider themselves Arabs so a finish in the 3rd spot will be big for the Middle East and Africa of course since the country is part of the African continent. The odds are favoring them a little to the Croatians though maybe because we're the ones that drop the highly touted Brazil.

The finals is absolutely close. Les Bleus as usual is expected to start with its 4 attack-combo while Argentina may continue its 4-4-2 formation.

Congratulations to the other newly ranked-up members. Happy New Year everyone.
2118  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Errol Spence vs Keith Thurman on: December 15, 2022, 04:04:47 PM
No update until now? Despite being in the same stable, they still find it difficult to negotiate. Who is at fault here? Is it on Thurman or Spence? I had reservations about this fight occurring as soon as I saw this topic. Spence previously stated that he would not offer Thurman one of his three belts. To settle this fight, perhaps the WBC should simply move forward with a purse bid. We don't want to lose time by waiting around.

I would want to see Thurman or Spence take on Ennis and Ortiz Jr.

Good to see you here mate. It seems like this fight may not happen at all after Errol Spence had another car accident. He mentioned that his leg is injured although I cannot find any more news about the severity of his injury.

You know the WBC, they are up for the money and they do not want to mess with big promoters as well which means Vergil Ortiz is probably out of the picture for Thurman. The WBC might also consider a garbage interim belt while Spence is still healing.

Hopefully that's not the case because it will be a disappoint again to know that even this fight is not happening next year, I'd like to be positive and think that this fight will be delayed because of that accident. Although, I know that it's really possible because we don't know Spence's situation regarding his legs as his camp is not disclosing any information about it.

In this incident, I also do hope that Errol Spence had a lesson and should start to consider hiring his own driver rather than him behind the wheel not knowing what could happen along the way as it's already proven that he's a magnet when it comes to situations like that.

Well, if Spence is out for some months in order to heal his injury, the WBC will most likely order a fight for the WBC interim belt. Ranked number 2 after Thurman is Vergil Ortiz Jr. But Vergil Ortiz is already keen on taking Eimantas Stanionis for the WBA regular after GBP was able to beat PBC in the bidding. Ranked 3 is Jarron Ennis, in the past, this kid already requested the IBF to issue his mandatory status on Spence which means this may not happen too. Ranked 4 is Yordenis Ugas, although I like to see Ugas take at least 1 tune-up fight, he might accept right away if given the chance since Thurman is a big name that guarantees big money and is very beatable nowadays.
2119  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: December 15, 2022, 03:43:56 PM
It seems like Tank stays with PBC. Or is this also his last fight with PBC? Money is probably the main reason why Tank is leaving Mayweather Promotions. Maybe Floyd's asking share of the profit is a little high while his promotion is becoming garbage for years already as it is obviously becoming a dummy for PBC. Tank Davis if he still stays with PBC can just sign with TGB Promotions, the main dummy of PBC.

Let's say Tank vs Garcia happens after they overcome their tune-ups. What's next to them? All the other big names from 135 to 140 are with ESPN.

Is he with PBC now? Wow, I haven't know that because I thought that he is now flying solo without any promoter after he fought Rolly Romero earlier this year and also, I've heard that Eddie Hearn was proposing to give him a guaranteed money to organize his fight against Ryan Garcia next year.

What's next? Depends on the outcome. Garcia will might vacate the belt eventually because of his weight and in the first place, I think he just want to prove that he's more dominant than Tank and he's not after the latter's title.

Yes, mate. All of Tank's previous fights were actually handled by PBC. Mayweather Promotions is only a name but it is actually PBC that's been dealing with tv networks Showtime and Fox. PBC is a de facto promoter and I don't understand why Al Haymon won't apply for a real promoter's license. Showtime will once again televise Tank's fight with Hector Garcia and since Mayweather Promotions is out, it is likely that TGB Promotions will be the official promoter of this event. TGB is the main dummy promotion used by PBC's events since authorities won't allow it without a licensed promoter.
2120  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 15, 2022, 03:23:51 PM
After several years, it seems like the eastern conference will finally take winningest team this season. There is no sign of stopping on the Boston Celtics and the Milwaukee Bucks. Although the west have New Orleans Pelicans and Memphis Grizzlies, the streaks of these young teams will end soon.

We love to see the Eastern conference team win it this season, maybe 60++ games win for this two team and maybe there will be another 2 teams in that same level or at least 50+ wins.

Winning 60+ games will be very challenging these days when most of the teams are competitive. The Milwaukee Bucks and Boston Celtics though if they can continue their winning ratios might achieve it but it won't be easy and they might relax their main stars in the season's last remaining games, especially if a specific spot is already guaranteed. Another thing is the new rules where ranked 7 and 8 are still in fear of not qualifying in the playoffs since ranked 9 and 10 are also given the chance to vie for a spot, which makes the NBA more competitive too.
