2141  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Create wealth first before the use of bitcoin on: December 08, 2022, 01:22:44 PM
I know many will think it is useless. Maybe it is not worth it knowing the people they were preaching to are living in poverty with no internet. But there is something positive I found, some of these people will realize that there is still hope. Some of the listeners will be empowered. Maybe they should be looking for jobs in the city in order to feed their family and somehow start their own savings little by little and then invest in something that can change their future.
2142  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Is Bearish market the right time to buy coins? on: December 08, 2022, 12:52:13 PM
Altcoins can be very risky compared to bitcoin. But I am not saying investing in altcoins is bad. After all, profit is what we are attracted to aside from the technology the cryptoverse brings. Just be sure to invest the amount you are willing to lose. The higher the risk, the higher the rewards. So pick carefully the altcoins you would like to invest in. And be prepared to track them always as everything will happen to them anymore, either it will shoot up or it will drop down to zero. Always DYOR.
2143  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What should be my fear? on: December 08, 2022, 12:32:27 PM
You probably know by now the need to keep your bitcoin safe from hackers and possible centralized exchange exits. The main concern is the fear which is related to investment. I think everyone or maybe 99% of people who invested money that they cannot afford to lose will continue to live with fear. I did it before, I studied bitcoin charts since the earliest I could get. So I thought that the past cycles would make me strong and overcome fear, I took the risk, and I signed a contract to assume a house and lot but held most of my assets in bitcoin. And then here comes the 2018 and 2019 bear seasons. I thought I can be alright knowing how confident am I that history would repeat itself. When it dropped from $19k ATH to $3k, fear beat me, I didn't expect bitcoin to drop that low and I cannot sleep well at night. So in the end I decided to sell all my bitcoins cheaply.

I learned the hard way. I should not have risked an amount that I cannot afford to lose.
2144  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading and investing, and still very broke.why? Is it spiritual? on: December 07, 2022, 12:32:34 PM
There are also levels of consistency and effort. Yesterday I saw a video on Youtube where a group of fishermen vloggers came to a realization. These fishermen were complaining that they need about an hour of effort to reach their fishing grounds and another hour to go home yet they aren't getting a lot. Yesterday they were invited by another group of fishermen vloggers (with over a million subscribers) so they visited them. They were informed that those fishermen vloggers with over a million subscribers will travel 2 to 3 hours just to reach a fishing ground and with the same hours going back. My point is those who made the extra mile will be rewarded more for their efforts. Trading and investing aren't just purely technical, it is psychological as well. Years before, I met someone online who's been making thousands of dollars with his daily trades. He told me that his skills and emotions are the products of months of sleepless nights over the years and that he read nearly a hundred books on trading.
2145  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How important is BTC to the Society? on: December 07, 2022, 11:48:54 AM
BTC opened our eyes that it is possible for a decentralized currency to exist. A currency free from the world and national politics and influence. A currency that is not inflationary. It will have more value over time. BTC's blockchain is telling the world that all our systems can be visible and immutable. In my country beset with corruption from local to national appointed and elected officials blockchain is the solution. A perfect world should be using blockchain and BTC as its currency.
2146  Other / Politics & Society / Re: To save economy and value of money ww3 must start on: December 07, 2022, 11:28:20 AM
You are an unbelievable OP. It seems like it is easy for you to say that World War III should happen. So what if your country is part of the war? Are you not concerned with yourself and your loved ones? Are you ready for it?

How deep is your knowledge of world history and current issues? Although I can assume it somehow when you mentioned that Russia should only pick one either Europe, the UK, or the USA. Mate, if it is only Russia and Europe warring with each other, it is not a world war. World War I battles mostly happened in Europe only but most of the world are controlled by Europe hence it was called a World War.

For thousands of years, war reset nations' and kingdoms' economies. Nowadays we have many countries armed with nuclear weapons that won't just reset our economies but are capable of destroying our whole planet.
2147  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: My concern of security when using casino houses. on: December 07, 2022, 10:54:37 AM
I heard this news before while taking my meal. The stabbing was not gambling related right? And it was outside the casino? It could've happened in the park or at the train station or anywhere, even in your neighborhood.

So let us talk about casino security. That man won't be able to bring his knives inside the casino. No arms are allowed inside a casino. And suspicious-looking individuals in spite of being able to enter a casino unarmed will be focused on surveillance cameras and casino securities including their specialized non-uniformed securities.

Personally, I prefer betting online because it saves time and effort but if I feel like playing in an offline casino then I will pay a visit with no issues at all. It's just that online casinos are easier to access nowadays hence most of us played online.

2149  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Would Bitcoin no longer be Bitcoin if it were adopted by everyone in the world ? on: December 07, 2022, 10:21:47 AM
So it means that you are only into Bitcoin in order to grow your investment? Be aware that Bitcoin was created as a decentralized currency and its real intent is to be used regularly in our normal day-to-day transactions. It isn't happening globally because it needs to stabilize its price and there is also the regulation factor. But I wish that would become a reality one day. By that time, the whole Bitcoin capitalization would be in trillions of dollars. Not as attractive anymore for long-term HODL but you can always do leverage trading just like the current forex market.
2150  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Naoya Inoue vs Paul Butler - Undisputed Bantamweight Bout - December 13 on: December 07, 2022, 10:00:02 AM

I really don't think there is drama here, everything is very clear, Butler is a boxer who doesn't talk much, Inoue is a very focused boxer, I don't know if he really cares about getting more fame or not, I've always seen him in a very calm and somewhat respectful way, this type of boxer are the ones who have the most discipline and the ones who make the most effort to do their job well, and it is for them that they get all my admiration and well, in addition to this it shows in the ring that does everything well, because Casimero wants to go against him, that's like counting the eggs before they are born, this fight will be very interesting.

There's no drama here because it's a complete mismatch. Although Butler is still a champion but compared to Inoue, I don't see him being a threat to Inoue who always wants to finish the fight early. Butler's power is way below the power of Inoue, and in terms of quickness, Inoue still has the edge. Now, if Butler wants to have a shot, he should be smart and find a strategy to beat Inoue.

Inoue is a silent type of fighter. Maybe Butler knows how to do some trash talking but he better stay silent too because he is facing the world's best fighter at the moment.

I also do not know how Butler can beat Inoue. Of course, he should stay smart but the problem is, Inoue is smarter than him, has quicker footwork, faster hand speed, and is gifted with monstrous power in both hands. Inoue also proved his chin is hard since he stayed on his feet after receiving powerful bombs from Donaire in their first encounter.
2151  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: One Month of Accepting Bitcoin for Payment on: December 06, 2022, 05:01:21 PM
Congratulations mate. You helped make Bitcoin a currency. I hope your business will continue to grow and that you will receive more Bitcoin payments in the near future. However, far from what you expect, Bitcoin transactions are traceable even if you create different addresses per payee. On the other hand, it helps government authorities in determining your sales and the intended tax. If you don't want to get tracked, maybe you use an exchange Bitcoin address. This way nobody has a clue how many Bitcoins you already received from your business.
2152  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 06, 2022, 04:37:23 PM
As we all know, this MVP ladder is updating every single week and it's not surprising that Anthony Davis's name has surfaced on the list after his good productions and their team, the Lakers, has been impressive as well for having a 8-2 run in the last 10 games. Together with Davis's name, Sabonis also appeared in the top 10 in the expense of Ja Morant and Jaylen Brown.
Yes, it does change weekly and it will be an unpredictable season on who will be on the top of that ladder.
I am rooting for Luka Doncic to claim it, I am super amazed at how skillful he is and how he can handle everything, from offense to being the playmaker of the team. Although that will be a little biased since I am a fan of his.  Cheesy
But Tatum seems to be not backing down yet who now averages at 30 ppg, the rebounding category will make a big difference as Luka gets more rebound every game.

Your idol Luka Doncic is ahead now, overtaking Nikola Jokic. Here are the latest top 5 players.

1. Luka Dončić
2. Nikola Jokić
3. Giannis Antetokounmpo
4. Jayson Tatum
5. Anthony Davis

While personal stats are the top basis for selecting the next MVP, it is still up to the panel members who will vote. I believe the win-loss record of a team also plays a vital role in getting top votes in the MVP race. If Luka wants to become MVP, he needs the Mavericks to finish a minimum top 5 in the west. The season is still early though and maybe Luka will get some necessary backups before the trade deadline.

Wow! They are pretty amazing. I cannot wait to receive mine. It should be here in the next few days. It looks like I am the only winner that has no NYK NYC (Not your keys. Not your coin.) sticker. But I'm good with the other stickers I will be owning.

...I especially love the "Wir drucken Bücher...."-one - you should create and English version.
For anyone wondering, it says "we are are printing books instead of money".  Grin
Thanks for the translation. It's the best sticker I like most even though I do not know its meaning earlier. The meaning makes it cooler.
2154  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽⚽⚽ Sportsbet's Bitcointalk World Cup 2022 - discussion ⚽⚽⚽ on: December 06, 2022, 02:38:42 PM
Well... I just checked the spreadsheet and it looks like I'm out. I have only one correct answer and @inthelongrun have three. When I check the questions for upcoming matches, both of us gave the same answer for all but one question. Even if that one question goes to my side, I'm still unable to beat @inthelongrun. Congratulations on advancing to the quarters man! I'm still happy because I got $25 as a reward Smiley

Thank you mate. And I am sorry for knocking you out of this tournament. I cannot believe I just beat you. The truth is I'd been watching you and Dittoup since you guys were rocking in round 1. Every time I watched the spreadsheets, besides tracking my groupmates I always checked both of you until Dittoup had problems in round 3. I sacrificed half of my party time last weekend telling my friends I needed time because I entered a WC tournament and that I am head-to-head against the person I am tracking. Cheesy Luck is on my side as I managed to qualify and now I barely escaped with a single point.

Consider me the Japan in this tournament. There's a reason why I picked only 5 European teams to proceed in this round, I thought Japan is the one to deliver another upset which they nearly did but failed. So I will be facing Slaman29 in the round of 8, another difficult challenge for me.
2155  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tank Davis vs. Ryan Garcia betting and discussion (May, 2023) on: December 06, 2022, 01:46:20 PM

Before and after I created this thread, my prediction was always Tank Davis will win because he is the better boxer and the tougher man. However, when I was looking at King Ryan's record more closely, I think he has made the much needed preparations to give him a better than expected chance to win. King Ry has very much prepared himself to fight a 5'6" left handed boxer by fighting 2 left handed boxers in his last 3 fights. The last opponent is Javier Fortuna, he is short and can knockout anyone, having much similarities to Tank. I would laugh at King Ry's bettors last week, however, we cannot laugh if we have studied his preparation more.
If there's a poll in this thread, I would appreciate it.  Smiley
please OP hear me out.

I created the poll, however, only 3 have voted and one of them is me hehehe. My vote is for Ryan Garcia because of the reasons and the speculations that I have shared already.
I think it was yesterday, I already voted for Tank. Tank is short but his hands are quick and are gifted with power. And Tank is not old like Fortuna. Both are cherry-pickers but Tank became a champion at 130 which means he is championship-caliber while Kingry's toughest challenge was against Luke Campbell whom he even struggled with before delivering the KO.

In any case, @Baofeng, you are one of the boxing news events expert hehe. Would you speculate that this contract dispute of Tank Davis vs. Floyd Mayweather promotions will threaten if this event will happen or not?
Not interfering here since I respect both of you. If Tank is a free agent then Mayweather Promotions has nothing to pursue. Mayweather Promotions anyways is more of a dummy nowadays since it is PBC (who doesn't have a promoter's license) the one promoting fights thru Showtime and Fox networks. PBC is using many dummies so there should be no problem with Tank's fight with Hector Garcia.

After this fight one of them is not undefeated anymore, and I believe that Ryan Garcia will give Tank Davis a good fight. He keeps challenging great champions, now it's his time to shine, beating Tank Davis will make his ranking skyrocket and he will definitely earn more big fights ahead.
Actually he didn't even beat any real champions Cheesy

He only won vacant WBC interim title, but he not want to face the real WBC champion boxer e.g. Haney. The other belts he won is from unofficial organization, if we talk about the value, it's worthless since it doesn't need to be number 1 boxer to get those belts.

Garcia biggest fight was against Luke Campbell where he almost lose, Tagoe even though undefeated but doesn't show any fight, while Fortuna is ex champion but now he's already old.

It is really true. Though it is a fact that Tank Davis and Kingry Garcia are very popular even if they are currently not real champions but they keep on fighting has-beens and tomato cans. I am giving Tank Davis the advantage because at least he became a real champion before at 130 when he blasted Jose Pedraza for the IBF belt.

I actually doubt that this fight is a done deal. Most likely that these 2 cherry-pickers are just using this for publicity. If this is a done deal, then Kingry has to wait for Tank to become ready once again and will become inactive.

And what's up with this? Is Tank fighting under PBC without a contract?

As far as I can remember, he had a tweet wherein he says that he will take his talent somewhere else but it was deleted already.

That tweet was just last month though,

I did take this screen grab from this youtube source: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=60ndIff0obQ

Maybe he hasn't sign an extension with Floyd or PBC because I think he is not satisfied with how he was handled or the money is not good enough for him.

So maybe Eddie Hearn is trying to lure him to move to him with that kind of good money, $10 million guarantee + PPV numbers against Ryan Garcia.

Last time I've checked, Tank Davis is with Floyd Mayweather's promotional banner and that Romero-Davis fight was his last fight under the mentioned stable, and it was rumored that Mayweather put Rolly on purpose to supposedly defeat Tank because he cannot accept that Tank will leave him after all what he did. I guess Tank really wanted to explore his talents elsewhere because he already don't see his future under Mayweather anymore, and it will be a good opportunity for Tank to be flying solo for now and I guess Eddie Hearn is the first one to do the move.
I remember when Tank was supposed to leave Mayweather Promotions but then re-signed later. Tank is probably in a 1 fight deal which means he is now a free agent. I hope Tank won't return to Mayweather Promotions. At 28 years old, Tank should vie for the real titles at 135 and then move up to 140 if he wants his legacy to be inducted into the Hall of Fame. Hearn is probably the biggest promoter right now and DAZN has the deepest pocket in boxing but it is obviously Top Rank thru ESPN having the best talent in boxing right now from Naoya Inoue to Shakur Stevenson, Vassiliy Lomachenko, Devin Haney, and Josh Taylor up to Tyson Fury the lineal champ at heavyweight. And all the big names at 135 and 140 are signed with Top Rank except the 2 cherry-pickers Tank and KingRy.
2156  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Artur Beterbiev vs Anthony Yarde on: December 06, 2022, 12:58:05 PM
When I hear these 2 names, I always wonder what would've happened if Kovalev and Beterbiev met each other around 7 years ago. Maybe one of them failed to become a big star since the loser will probably suffer a big KO/TKO. Nonetheless, Artur Beterbiev wasted many years and opportunities when he was fighting in Canada. He never tried to enforce and seemed contented not fighting then Canadian and fellow Canadian-based champions/superstars whom he is very capable of winning.

If ever Kovalev and Beterbiev met 7 years ago and the latter was the one who failed, chances is that Dmitrii Bivol is already the undisputed champion in the light-heavyweight division. You might wonder why? If they indeed met few years back and Kovalev was victorious then there's a good chance that this scenario might happen. First is Kovalev will be the 3-belt holder but then Canelo will replace him and eventually Canelo will lost his belt to Bivol which will mean that Bivol will end up holding all four belts in this division. Just a wild thought tho Grin

I mean, the time when Beterbiev was still not a champion and Kovalev was still undefeated and was holding the 3 belts, WBO, IBF, and WBA. I heard it before that Beterbiev wants a shot at those belts but it never happened. I think Kovalev would've won. But if Beterbiev won that one, maybe he's got a better shot at Andre Ward who controversially stole all the belts from Kovalev.

Meanwhile, the first face-off between unified champion Beterbiev and Anthony Yarde. Although Yarde started a little trash-talk earlier, he did offer his handshake which was accepted by the champion. Anthony Yarde seems huge and muscular, interesting to see if he can outmuscle the champion when needed.

Thanks for this image mate, yeah Yarde is like Joshua though, a body builder type of boxer. And we all know that in boxing, more muscle doesn't mean that you are the stronger fighter. There are a lot of factors to consider and also the training and strategy.

Beterviev is not that a trash talker as well, at least not what we typically see in American boxer.

This Russian just mean business in the ring, just like Bivol and then after the fight that's where you gonna here them talk about how fighting the other boxer feels like. And probably the best trash talking that you can hear is that they didn't feel the power, hehehe.

Yarde indeed has some similarities to AJ's build although I prefer the former's, it is more toned but yes, this isn't bodybuilding, this is boxing. It's scientific that fighters with more muscles will have less stamina although they should be stronger in the earlier rounds and then fades out in the later rounds unless they will fight in a conservative way.

Beterbiev's a nice guy similar to Khabib Nurmagomedov and both are from Dagestan, Russia too. Prime Beterbiev's chin is at a different level, he was hit many times by Usyk during their amateur trilogy but he seemed to take it well and was the one hurting Usyk on several occasions. And let us not forget that the Ukrainian champion hurt AJ a big heavyweight. But with Beterbiev's age, it is interesting to find out if he is still capable of handling Yarde's power punches.
2157  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Candidates for the WORLD CUP 2022 Winner on: December 05, 2022, 04:13:12 PM
My bias is starting to lean toward France and Brazil. But I want to see how Brazil performs again. If Neymar will play again and is back to his usual form and can remain healthy throughout the remainder of the tournament then Brazil should be able to beat its rivals including Argentina and France. Although I will never take for granted the Argentines knowing they are performing well too except for that Saudi Arabia setback which only happens every 100 years. This is also Messi's last World Cup. The French seem unstoppable too with Mbappe and his fellow stars capable of exploiting every mistake.

My take in the final 4 up to the finals. The semi-finals will be Argentina vs Brazil while France vs Spain on the other side. Then Brazil and France will face each other in the finals. In a 50/50 game, Brazil will barely edge France and win the World Cup.
2158  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: If you were the government, how would you fight against bitcoin? on: December 05, 2022, 03:23:14 PM
Seriously, if I were the president of my country, I will never turn against bitcoin, especially at this moment when it is already becoming widely accepted and is worth hundreds of billions in market capitalization. Why will I deny an invention that can enhance my country and citizens? The best thing I can do is to regulate it to avoid fraudsters exploiting people that have zero to limited knowledge about bitcoin. I will make sure that bitcoin and blockchain be studied thoroughly and let it be known by becoming a part of the subjects and courses in schools.

In my country, bank accounts are insured to around $10k in maximum. I will also implement this as one of the requirements for exchanges wanting to cater to the local market.
