1802  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in Bitcoin with Tiffin money of my college life. on: February 02, 2023, 12:34:59 PM
Good start mate. You can continue to accumulate while bitcoin is not yet in a major bull run which may happen next year and in the year 2025. You might as well plan on transferring your bitcoins to a non-custodial wallet for safety purposes. But if you are planning to buy more like weekly or monthly with the same or even smaller amounts then you might not want to transfer them right away every time you buy. Bitcoin withdrawal fee in Binance is around $5 which is already 3% of your capital. So you can schedule your withdrawals to save fees. The most important thing is that you are aware and you know what you are doing.
1803  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: February 02, 2023, 12:07:53 PM

I wonder how many hours these guys play each day and what are the deep effects on their health and fight/flight system response (hormones, neurotransmitters so forth and so on)

They probably grind more than we do. If a team has good management, they will strive for their players to maintain a balance lifestyle and not just focused on their games. Give them enough rest, feed them well and have them do some physical activities to keep them healthy.

I saw an interview before although I forgot which team was it. But that was before the covid-19 pandemic. They usually play a minimum of 4 games daily. But of course, they stay in the place for a minimum of 8 hours daily. Aside from playing, they have to discuss a lot of the strategies and teamwork. Like any other team sport, they also do team building and fun kinds of stuff that can enhance their chemistry and confidence. They have days off as well like the weekends. So just like regular work employees, they also have overtime especially when they need to address something and a tournament is about to happen. I can say, they have better lives than a normal working employee.
1804  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK sponsored by Utopia on: February 02, 2023, 11:47:23 AM
Reply to those who claim that Fury is fat: https://www.instagram.com/reel/CnkS4tkjDvM/?igshid=YmMyMTA2M2Y=. This isnt fat, these are airbags. The kid that punches Fury is Stephen McKenna, professional boxer, welterweight. His punches are nothing compared to Usyk, but Fury is able to hold heavy punches. For example Fury has survived Bronze bomber head punch.

I give little chances for Usyk. He is experienced, but never faced such a heavy fighter before. Looks like Usyk did not have enough power to knockout Fury, when Fury can land a punch, daze Usyk and finish with a knockout. It does not look like Usyk is going to survive whole 12 round, to be able to win by points.

That's an old video though. Saw that already a few years ago. Fury seems below 270 pounds in that video. And yes, Fury was fat in some of his fights. Boxing casuals may not see it but Fury had been adjusting his weights depending on his opponents unless they were cherry-picked or low risked opponents like Chisora and Whyte where weight is not an issue.

Another update into this historic fight. There is a targeted date already and obviously, this not happening in March. Hopefully, Arum stops pushing this fight in the UK where Usyk has been robbed of on some of his previous and obvious winning rounds. Cinco de Mayo weekend seems impossible now since the biggest name in boxing, Canelo Alvarez always gets the date he wants.

1805  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Caleb Plant vs David Benavidez on: February 02, 2023, 10:52:26 AM
So it seems like the winner of Plant-Benavidez is not getting a shot at Canelo Alvarez. As per Eddie Hearn's latest updates, Canelo is determined to take revenge on Dmitry Bivol right after his fight with John Ryder. And since Ryder-Canelo is a WBO mandatory and the Canelo-Bivol is a rematch clause activated, the Benavidez-Plant winner cannot request the WBC to strip Canelo of his belt in favor of the interim champ. Canelo remains the biggest cash cow in boxing anyways and he might also get VIP treatments on sanctioning bodies. Canelo and the WBC also blocked us fight fans to see a possible Beterbiev-Bivol unification for the undisputed belts at light-heavyweight.

Eddie Hearn updates on Canelo Alvarez’s plans, Terence Crawford, Bivol vs Beterbiev, Jake Paul vs Tommy Fury, more
1806  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: ChatGPT and Trading on: February 01, 2023, 02:11:23 PM
So instead of asking the people in this forum, why not ask ChatGPT itself?  Cheesy ChatGPT is not a fortune teller that predicts the future on speculative kinds of stuff like the future price of bitcoin or who wins a fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk.

But in the near future, it may give limited answers but based only on specific indicators. For example, ChatGPT in the future might answer your question on the bitcoin price trends in the next few days based on Fibonacci and other trading indicators you mentioned in the question. That would be very cool as it saves us time and effort while freeing us from possible human errors.
1807  Economy / Speculation / Re: BTC rise described as false bull on: February 01, 2023, 01:47:10 PM
I would not call bitcoin's price increase from $15k to $23k a false bull. That was an increase of 53% or over $200 billion that went into bitcoin. But maybe people are used to the previous bitcoin bull runs and will only call a bull run when it increased to 1,000% or more. So I'll just call bitcoin's previous increase in price a mini bull run but that was not fake. Can we also call bitcoin's previous bull run at $68k fake because it gradually went down to as low as $15k last year? It's just normal that the market goes up and down. A big increase in value means a big correction later since not all investors are looking for long-term holds. There are also investors that are looking for profit and will sell their stake anytime when profits are good enough for them.
1808  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin trading or Investing in the stock market on: February 01, 2023, 01:27:40 PM
I am not into the world stock market but into my local stock market. It actually depends on someone's taste to trade and the effectiveness of your analysis. Both are nearly the same with highs and lows. People say cryptocurrencies are so volatile but there are actually very volatile stocks too. I own a stock that is now only valued at 11% of my original capital. But I prefer cryptocurrencies, especially bitcoin because I believe they are the future and we need a decentralized but regulated monetary system. Another thing I noticed is the fees, in my local stock market, I need to pay a 1.19% fee for buying and selling whereas I only need to pay around 0.50% fee when I buy and sell bitcoin.
1809  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Nonito Donaire vs Jason Moloney on: February 01, 2023, 01:06:25 PM
We will see in this match if Donaire can still fight on his usual and claim again another world title. If happened, he will be the older boxer to get a championship title.
Definitely he could fight and you are right I think he will try a few more fights before he decided to retire it would actually be a good thing to happen to win a championship at 40 but honestly it's would be a little bit difficult as Moloney is younger and faster, if Donaire would won this match it would be either on split decision and not by KO/TKO this is going to be an interesting match let's see if Donaire can still show his "The Flash" moves.

If this fight materialized then the best way for Donaire to beat Moloney is by KO/TKO. It will be hard for a 40-year-old fighter to win rounds en route to a decision victory. Donaire is not the Flash anymore according to his last fights. So Moloney will be the quicker fighter and will be winning rounds. While Donaire will wait for the counters or use his patience and timing to catch Moloney with his powerful hooks. My bet is Donaire by KO/TKO. The only way Donaire wins a decision against the younger Moloney is by knocking him down and hurting him several times and forcing the Australian into survival mode.
1810  Economy / Speculation / Re: Month January 23 - the best month since bitcoin? on: February 01, 2023, 12:46:13 PM
Nice tracking of the monthly performance of bitcoin price in the previous years. I'm saving the graph for future reference. Maybe Chinese whales are trading according to their beliefs and superstitions. So since 2013, Februaries and Octobers are the best months for bitcoin. And I thought the ghost months are the worst months to trade but it seems that Septembers are the worst months. Anyways, we might not have the same performance this month since January lit it up already with a nearly 50% increase. But we might see another bull run if bitcoin breaks the $24k-$25k resistance.
1811  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Figueroa vs Magsayo WBC Interim Featherweight Title (March 4) on: February 01, 2023, 12:07:58 PM
That was quick. Probably both protagonists are already training earlier when the WBC announced mandatories for Vargas-Foster, Fulton-Figueroa II, and Magsayo-Dogboe. Things changed when Fulton opted to remain in his division and defend his WBO and WBC belts to Naoya Inoue. Magsayo then replaced Fulton to challenge Figueroa which makes sense because Dogboe might be difficult to stage since it is handled by a rival promoter Top Rank. I think Dogboe is not interested in a WBC eliminator since he might get a real shot at the vacant WBO belt.

I want Magsayo to win but as always, I am not convinced by his skills and stamina. Magsayo is just like Deontay Wilder, low-skilled and relied on their power punches to land hoping their opponents can't take it. So just like when I voted for Vargas earlier to beat Magsayo, I think Figueroa stops Magsayo this time. This fight might be a war if Figueroa decides to brawl. Although Magsayo is probably the bigger guy and Brandon might not be able to take heavy punches in his new division. May the best man win.
1812  Economy / Speculation / Re: does the increasing number of altcoins have a negative impact on the price btc on: January 31, 2023, 05:16:13 PM
Do you mean an increasing number of shitcoins? Shitcoins are everywhere and there is no stopping for scammer developers to create shitcoins once they rug-pulled their previous coins. Rinse and repeat. Bitcoin is the first, the original and it will always dominate the crypto market. When was the time when bitcoin's value dropped to second or its trading volume dropped to second or third? It never happened. Bitcoin will always be bitcoin and it lives and continues to grow over time with or without altcoins. So for me, I do not think the growing numbers of altcoins affect the price of bitcoin. 99% of these altcoins will turn zero anyways once the hype is over.
1813  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Will Shiba inu get to $1 on: January 31, 2023, 04:55:28 PM
I also keep hearing about this Shiba Inu. It is becoming very popular and the developers probably have deep pockets as they are sponsoring some ads. But the answer to the question is a big NO. But maybe it happens in the next 100 years or so. Don't get misled by its price of $0.00001188 because it also has an abundant supply that brings the whole market capitalization to around $7 billion. Shiba Inu is already ranked 15 as the most valuable cryptocurrency which means it is already expensive and its room for growth in the next bull run is limited.
1814  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I will invest in bitcoin for my child's cost when they grow up. on: January 31, 2023, 04:35:44 PM
OP I assume you already understand how bitcoin works and how to keep them safe, right? It is also better to DCA when investing in bitcoin since we never know if it goes up or down in short term. You can invest a portion of your income to buy bitcoin weekly or monthly. I am buying bitcoin monthly as well. And only use a portion of your savings to buy bitcoin as you also need to diversify your investments for better protection. You can also check your local bank's time deposit rates and see if they are practical for another set of long-term investments for your child.

I am curious about OP preparing for the child's future marriage. Let the kid shape his own destiny. Just send the child to school and you're good.
1815  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Boxing: Artur Beterbiev vs Anthony Yarde on: January 31, 2023, 04:15:09 PM
I reckon the fight was already decided from 5th round onwards because Yarde was taking much damage and already having troubles to breath thus, he was very different from what we saw from him in the first 3-4 rounds where he's well composed and seems like he can really manage.

I forgot which round when Yarde started to open his mouth but that was clearly the signal that he is about to be done unless he catches Beterbiev first. I am surprised he survived that long. Yarde without a doubt has a warrior's heart as it reached round 8 before he finally got hurt and down. When he was knocked down he was clearly out, his facial reaction showed it but he was undecided whether to quit or not so the referee signals the fight to continue. Good thing his corner stopped it before Beterbiev could unleash more punishing blows.

Hopefully, Bivol is next for Beterbiev as we all want to see undisputed champions in all of boxing's divisions.
1816  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Throw more light to the associated risks involved than just the profits. on: January 31, 2023, 03:55:35 PM
There is no such thing as easy money. Bitcoin is an online decentralized money and just like fiat and stocks, the market always goes up and down. This is a common problem because even those that are well-educated in different fields do not have a deep understanding of how money and our financial system work. Just the other day, my father an engineering graduate called and informed me that someone told him about an online bank that gives 7% monthly returns to its depositors and that he is interested but he also needs my opinion first.
1817  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Being Lonely drives you towards Gambling....! on: January 31, 2023, 03:31:43 PM
I tried it in the past and I mostly lost my bets so I won't do it again. But why gamble a lot when lonely? It is not advised to gamble since people are already in emotional situations. I prefer to choose something that makes me happy to create good vibes like watching movies, videos, or playing online games. Even sports betting during a bad mood might be a factor to produce a bad analysis making the bet a high probability of losing.

Although gambling during times people are lonely isn't that bad if only they know their limits.
1818  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: January 30, 2023, 04:06:47 PM

What a throw by blacklist. Game 3 was so boring. Blacklist already has the lead and almost mega creeps and they cannot close the game. They stall the game and placed the Naga in a better position. They are too afraid of the Naga that pushed the game to a very late game. It is a waste of bet. Blacklist is now tied with Talon and will play later for a tie breaker for Lima Major.

It was a deciding ticket to Lima major since the loser will only have 3 hours to rest before facing Talon. It seems that both teams do not want to take huge risks at that stage of the game. And I thought Blacklist will benefit it with more clones and units to outmaneuver the bases of Geek. Geek though remained patient waiting for that big single mistake.

Blacklist just lost easily to Talon by 0-2. Those 3 games with Geek including two 70+ minutes games must be very exhausting for them. And it is difficult to easily move on from those games and refresh within 3 hours.
1819  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: MMA Info and Predictions - Bellator, KSW, PFL, ONE... on: January 30, 2023, 03:45:00 PM
I have noticed a lot of fighters try themselves in boxing. Maybe there was something in Ngannou words, when he talked about slavery UFC contract. Otherwise I cant explain why fighters, when they finish their career, instead of retire, they switch to boxing or bare knuckle fights. They could have switched into coaching, or being hired training partners for younger and less experienced fighters, or open their own gym. Yet they being quite old for the sport, go boxing. Money is their motivator ?

This also explains why Jake Paul always wanted to fight UFC fighters that are already retired or those who are not getting enough money when they fight, he offered them some huge cash and they took the bait because they haven't got enough money when they were in the UFC. that's a big opportunity for him and now we already know one of the reasons why they fight him despite them being one of the legends in the UFC.

On the other hand, boxing gives them most of their rights and they really wanted to switch professions because after all is their body and they are the one who needs to fully earn from it, not just some individual who owns the company like the UFC.

It feels bad seeing legends getting mauled by younger fighters that they should've beaten during their primes. And it's the same when stars from other sports like the UFC cross over just to get exploited and destroyed for money. I cannot blame them though especially if the amounts offered are life-changing to them. They would rather take a punch from Jake Paul and get shamed for millions.

Imagine Jon Jones' rematch with Cormier with a PPV buys of 800k. His guaranteed purse of $500k ballooned to around $2m. But that PPV buys figure in boxing at that same time would've guaranteed an easy minimum of $20m payouts for all the fighters in the event. It's funny when some people tried to defend UFC contracts and purse sharing, especially its stars.
1820  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: January 30, 2023, 02:44:07 PM
What a game between Blacklist and Geek earlier. I thought Geek are aiming for quick victories but it was Blacklist that always dominates the late games. Not until Geek dragged it into very long extended minutes and were patiently waiting for Blacklist to commit a single mistake.

Now it is Blacklist versus Talon for SEA's last slot to Lima major. I felt bad for Blacklist who already beat Talon before but now they might feel the exhaustion from those overextended games earlier and their mindsets are affected by the heartbreaking defeats at the hands of Geek. 3 hours of rest might not be enough but hopefully, they can steal the remaining 2 maps.
