2701  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 10, 2022, 10:37:38 AM
Finally! Klay Thompson is back and they win the game against the Cavs today. This is what we have looking for and we are watching it right now. the old days are back with the GSW splash brothers and some other addition to the team makes them an NBA Finals contender once again.
Western Conference suddenly became scarier.  Grin Not bad for a debut for Klay Thompson after 2 years of rest. A dunk, three 3-pointers, and a block.
But why do I feel nervous whenever he trips, slips, or lands his feet after a high flight? I guess I am the one with the mental issue now instead of him. Trauma.  Grin
It's a good sign if he can dunk during a live game, that means he got over the mental problems whenever a player comes back from an injury. All the time given to him resting and preparing was worth the wait.

Yeah, that drive and a dunk, oh so scary but at least he didn't fall hard on his feet so I guess we now feel confident that he is really back. Concern though is Draymond Green, seems that he is still nursing that injury so it might take some time to see him in the Warriors uniform.

So GSW goes deep again with Klay back in the line up, I think it's only Phoenix or Memphis that can match GSW right now in the West.
2702  Economy / Speculation / Re: Some important information about Bitcoin and the current state of Bitcoin on: January 10, 2022, 09:10:45 AM
Bitcoin is the most popular and best coin in cryptocurrency. The importance of Bitcoin in maintaining cryptocurrency is immense. Because in Bitcoin, the value of the token depends on the other coins. But since 2020, the condition of Bitcoin has been getting better.

Maybe you are talking about when the price goes down hard because of the effect of Covid-19?
Yeah, that seems to be the case as obviously, we have reach new all time high already around $68k.

But we have to understand that we have too kind of market here, once is bull run or being bullish and the other is bearish. And it looks like as the majority here believed that we are in a bearish phase right now. Meaning the market will turn into red, and we may not like what we are seeing as the price will going down. So it will be hard to be an investors or trader. But if you are in for a long haul then you shouldn't be afraid of a bear market but learn how to embrace it.
2703  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I want to buy fundamental tokens, what should I buy? on: January 10, 2022, 04:14:23 AM
I think everyone have shared their fundamental tokens already.

One piece of advise though is that if we go on a long bear market, be sure to really hold on those coins and think about the long term.

Sure there will be a time that you might be thinking of selling it off because you are losing money. But then again crypto investment is a long game, it's not a sprint and marathon. So just better have the mental toughness to just hold and wait for the right time to sell, (probably in the next bull run).
2704  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: January 10, 2022, 03:46:36 AM
Spence might be the favorite but odds or chances of possible upset is there. So dont get that confident.

Some professional boxers already stated that Ugas has a chance to upset Spence.

They know it more honestly compared to us.

It's because Ugas is really that good that's why those boxers predicted that he can a chance to upset Spence. Specially he is high on the momentum of winning against Manny and then Spence coming off from an operation.

Ugas might beat an already past-prime Pacquiao but that past-prime guy is pulverized lots of prime boxers. It's still a big achievement that he is able to compete with Pacquiao and even defeat him with the preparation of only just 11 days.

Whatever the argument it, still Manny that the beat. The guy is a legend already and Ugas winning against him is something special and no one can take away anything from Ugas. He did his thing and proved that he can fight anyone in this division.
2705  Economy / Speculation / Re: Who saw the Bear market coming? on: January 10, 2022, 02:03:03 AM
If they can wait for another ATH this would have no problem at all.
We may under on the correction price market but for sure someday it will recover and make another ATH, as an investor, we should aim at a profit target, withdraw when we see there is your profit x times folds from your capital, don't be greedy waiting for a high return.  Or else, just keep holding until the bull season will come.

Nobody knows when the bear market comes because it's unpredictable and there's no time frame when it will raise back again.
All we have to do is avoid looking for the prize in the market.

I think we can say that when the price starts to turn around after hitting $68k, maybe for some they can call it a bear market already (except for those who are really perma-bear, they will call the market bearish no matter what).

Of course one way to make profit in bitcoin market is to be a holder so better wait for the next bull run. But it might take years, probably another 3 years in the making. So it will be a long time, but if you have the psychology and the patience to wait for that long then why not?
2706  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Gary Russell vs Mark Magsayo WBC Featherweight Title on: January 09, 2022, 09:32:46 PM
Quite surprised to see how huge Magsayo is as an underdog against Russell. Do the sport bookies didn't consider Mark's record and experience + Russell long lay off?

But this is a great opportunity for those bettors who love underdogs. Definitely Mark Magsayo can fight and expect this to be a good fight.
2707  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 09, 2022, 08:57:58 PM
What can you guys says about the game between the Nets and the Rockets?

It will be held in the Nets home court but the opening odds -10.5 for the Nets. My thoughts is that the Nets might not covered that huge handicap?

I'm thinking of going with the Rockets here at +10.5 at 1.90.

Congrats here, the Nets won the game in OT, but the Rockets make it close.

Clippers vs Hawks, I'm betting on Clippers +4.5. I know that they are on a disarray lately, but same with the Hawks as well. But let's see how the game will turn out to be. The Hawks might win but maybe the Clippers will make it a very close game.
2708  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 09, 2022, 08:34:13 PM
Nets couldn't have an easy win against Spurs today. It is still good for them to win by 121-119 after overtime. Spurs are not one of the fascinating teams of this season in fact but they still did a good job by making difficulties for Nets in this game. Harden and KD had the role to carry again and they did it successfully. I think that Harden was better as he made a double-double by 26 points and 12 assists. And if he was able to get 3 more rebounds, he would have made a triple-double.

I wonder if having Kyrie back with the team on and off is going to cause problems with their play. It seems like they struggle a bit without him, but at least they got the W.

Personally, I think it will cause them problem because of Kyrie's inconsistently to be on the team day in day out. As you can see when he plays, when he has the ball everyone is just watching him doing his one on one.

Today’s big story though is obviously Klay Thompson’s return to the Warriors. It’s been a long time since the splash brothers have played together. I’m just hoping for a safe return and for Klay to nail that first big 3.

True, it will have a big coverage for sure, it is going to be TNT to cover the game? Not sure.

But as a basketball fans, all eyes is on this game and for sure everyone wanted to see Klay in the court after being out for 2 years and hoping for a safe return and this will give the Warriors the ++ to be one of the favourites to win the NBA again because the core team is back.
2709  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to Hit $150,000 in 2022 on: January 09, 2022, 01:19:25 PM
As the rate of inflation rise all over the world, Bitcoin is seen as the hedge over inflation which is why so many analyses predicted $70,000 Bitcoin price in 2021 which was achieved as Bitcoin made an all-time price of above $70000 and the deflationary forces that faced the top commodities and exchange globally forced Bitcoin price to drop back to its present price. This has led me to say that 2022 Bitcoin is going to cross the $100,000 bitcoin price predictions.
If you are feeling very optimistic about the Bitcoin Bullish price passing $100k in 2022, you even mentioned the bitcoin price hitting $150,000. Of course, your opinion must be studied with rational logic, especially now that it has entered 2022, but the price of bitcoin is still decreasing, so that we don't get stuck in unrealistic numbers and stay alert in the face of bitcoin price movements.
I guess we are still in the early days of 2022 and the journey ahead is an exciting one we remain optimistic about the price of Bitcoin to reach a new all-time high before the end of 2022.
With the various activities and new development in the Bitcoin network, the price is going to be on the positive side, so many Bitcoin price analysts have forecast a near Bitcoin bull run I believe in the next couple of months businesses picked up we will see more increase in price which will reflect the predictions.

I'm not really sure what you mean by new development in the Bitcoin network?

But yes, we are still not even at the end of the month so a lot of things can happen. Hopefully it will be on a positive note as the price continues to slide and we are in the brink of a $40k again. A price we haven't seen for a while since we have a good bull run since September if I'm not mistaken.

Short term, we might see some semblance of a good bounce to at least $50k and that will be good, and later we might hit 6 digits before the end of this year.
2710  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin to hit $100k? on: January 08, 2022, 06:52:20 PM
Nonetheless, experts may seem predicted the current situation and that bitcoin will likely to experience a steep drop in the upcoming months.
But is it really possible for bitcoin to achieve $100k by mid this year? Given that the market is currently declining.
When it comes to predicting bitcoin's market price, the word "expert" does not count, it is simply a gamble and your guess is as good as any.
Achieving $100k before mid year is definitely possible
Would it happen? We would have to wait and see.
The crypto market is unpredictable.

Yeah, quite surprised to see the word 'expert' here, we all know that there's no such thing as everyone here is at the same level, speculating and making wild and educated guess.

And I'm not sure what this guy is thinking, it is written that we are in the bear market already and it's hard to recovered from a huge fall to $10k and then dramatically goes $100k at the same year.
2711  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Errol Spence Jr vs. Yordenis Ugas 3-Belt Welterweight Unification Match on: January 08, 2022, 02:52:25 PM

Mikey Garcia share his thought about the fight. Clearly, he thinks Errol Spence has the advantage because of style but like Shawn Porter's own view regarding the fight, he also believes that Ugas has a chance to make an upset. That's how they looked at Ugas, unlike others that underestimated him.

These boxers know well each other and somehow I like to refer to their own view We will wait for some expert boxing analysis from popular ones then from there, let's compare their fearless forecast.

Errol Spence Jr has been warned his unification bout with Yordenis Ugas is a 'dangerous fight'.

I think everyone here thinks that Ugas has a good chance against Spence to pull an upset.

Not just because he won against Manny, but he has the physical specimen to do so, he is tall and has the reach advantage and I will say that he has a good boxing IQ as well as he is a Olympian so he is more adept on the styles. So let's see if Spence will have the tools and is 100% in this fight after his eye operation.
2712  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 08, 2022, 02:13:26 PM
So that will be a great game and we will see if Lakers is really back.

I'm not convinced yet, let's see in their next game if they can beat the red hot Grizzlies. Both teams are in a winning streak, so this should be a good test for the Lakers, if they can win here, that's a big statement to those who still doubt them like me.  Smiley

Im also not sold on the Lakers winning streak, and good analysis on the teams they have beaten so far. They don't have a winning record and when they face Ja Morant's Grizzlies it will be a good test for them if they have the chemistry to win big against a good team. Only Monk has so far showing consistency, WB fouled out against the Hawks and didn't have his usual triple double. THT and Melo is also inconsistent. So a convincing win against the Memphis might sway some to believed that the Lakers are now for real.
2713  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2020-2021 betting on: January 08, 2022, 01:42:00 PM
Did anyone take the Jazz bet?

Almost mate, and it's good that I didn't because majority of their players didn't play in that game. But they did take a good lead but then Toronto just took over at the end of the 4th quarter and that's it.

The Lakers game didn't disappoint their farms, you will see James swag at the end of the 4th when he had that monster dunk, Lol. You can tell that he is really back in this game, with highlight dunks and then shooting three's as well.
2714  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Assuming on: January 08, 2022, 01:14:00 PM
I guess still boils down as how Ethereum will be market by Vitalik and how early investors will treat bitcoin. And maybe there will be no forum like this that will put BTC on the map, who knows.

But if I will have my opinion, I think nothing will change, BTC will be market still as a micro-payment scheme, so everyone will be curious about it and will probably invest and trade and the rest will be history, (including Mt. Gox).
2715  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is the era of Bitcoin spinoffs over? on: January 07, 2022, 05:44:35 PM
What do you think? Is there hope for Bitcoin-based forks like Bitcoin Cash, Bitcoin SV, and eCash (formerly Bitcoin Cash ABC)? Will we be able to see renewed interest in these coins? If not, why? What led to the demise of Bitcoin-spinoffs on the market? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley

I think it was really over when they started to create a fork coin out of bitcoin. Sooner or later we know that people are not going to support it, whatever kind of spin the people behind are going to do.

And that's what really happen here, all those coins are sure dead by now, maybe there are still a couple of people who supported it, but the overall consensus is that these people behind are not to be trusted and it's a blasphemy to attack Satoshi (because all of them have this approach) and it really back fire on them bigtime.
2716  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Keep calm and buy the dip. on: January 07, 2022, 04:21:28 PM
If you zoom out, you will find that the price is high compared to several months ago, and therefore there is no need to worry.

I remember that at the beginning of last year I sold some currencies when the price rose to the level of 42k support level, which was considered All Time High.
The resistance level at 42K is difficult to break easily and therefore is considered a good buy level.
It may be the last time we see Bitcoin this low.
That is the long term approach and unfortunately only a few people can do it, or at least few people talk about it. Reality is that at the start of 2021 we were around 30k, even slightly under it if I am not wrong, and somewhere around September we were at around a bit under 30k once again, now we are at 40k+ prices and people talk about like it is end of the days.

I do not get why people are so worried about this situation, but we all know that it is not something that is too dangerous, it is something very fine and we should not be worried about it. I get that we peaked at 68k+ levels and that is what people want, but just because we are not at the top prices doesn't mean that we are in the low prices neither. There is a big difference between those two, do not be happy that we are at 43k but do not be sad about it neither if you ask me, that's clear answer.

I think you can't blame people who wanted to see the price higher.

I mean how many of them who did enter around $40k-$50k? So probably but this time they are all in a panic since their investments are not going nowhere. And maybe this people are first time investors who believed that the price will continue to soar even after a peak at $68k a few months ago. So there is a big difference in the sentiments of newbie and old investors are far as the price movement goes.
2717  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin first week price speculation on: January 07, 2022, 03:21:08 PM
I think, in the first week or throughout January 2022, Bitcoin price movements will still experience a price correction. if you look at the price movements on the charts in the crypto market, there are indications that Bitcoin will decline in the $42,000 - $40,000 support area. However, even so, the current Bitcoin price correction can be said to be a normal thing to happen, especially when it tends to have positive sentiments.
The price is presently at the support between $40K to $42K, I hope the price is rejected by that support else if the support is broken, the price might likely heads to the next strong support at $30K, though the price correction unveil opportunities of buying dips, the first weeks of 2022 had witnessed a price correction which is a bit different from that of last year, however I believe no matter how far the price dipped, it will obviously bounce back based on past history of the price behavior. ("history repeats itself ")

It's because we are in a different scenario, no more bull runs and fast rally as investors are reluctant to re-invest in the market because of the current issues of hash rate.

https://edition.cnn.com/2022/01/07/investing/bitcoin-mining-kazakhstan-protests-impact-intl-hnk/index.html

Quote
Political turmoil in Kazakhstan is hitting the country's vast bitcoin mining industry.
The Central Asian nation plunged into chaos as violent protests sparked by rising fuel prices left dozens killed and hundreds injured. As part of the mayhem, internet and telecommunications cuts have been reported nationwide — and that's having an impact on local cryptocurrency mining operations, which are among the largest in the world.

As much as we don't want any politics to affect crypto, it has put a dent on the price and we really don't know if the support will hold because of this issue or not.
2718  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022 NBA Season on: January 07, 2022, 02:29:41 PM
I can't believe the Bucks are going to let DeMarcus Cousins walk away a free agent.  He was playing great for them.  Much better than I expected.  I guess he was just there to fill a roster spot during the covid restrictions.  I'm curious who is going to pick him up now.  Twitter is screaming at the Lakers to waive DeAndre Jordan and sign Cousins, but I don't see why they can't keep both...  Likely Cousins will find a new home somewhere else.  I think Chicago might be a decent home for him if he's still chasing a ring.  Another stint with Golden State might not be a bad idea either.  I'm sure someone will grab him quickly.
Checked the roster of the Chicago Bulls and yes they might want to grab Cousins as fast as they can. They need a center/forward to fill the shoes of Vucevic if they will be up against big men games. Vucevic is averaging 33 minutes per game and as a center that might be an exhausting number.
If they will let Cousins in, they could give him a breather that could strengthen the rotation even on second stringers.
They accept 10 days contract now, if its possible test him for that amount of time and if he performed good then give him a better contract. I don't know if Cousins will accept that kind of offer though.

I think 10 days is not enough for a player to prove his worth on a team, so I agree that this kind of contract as just to fill in during the covid-19 restrictions and I doubt that teams are going to sign anyone for a long term or at least this season.

But at the back of my mind, yeah, why not waive DJ and get Cousins? But still up to the Lakers management, they have traded Rondo already and it wouldn't hurt if they will get someone that can really contribute in the center position for the Lakers. Howard is really doing good, but DJ is something like a liability because he is too slow and can't even block shots anymore.
2719  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: El Salvador celebrate 21st of December 21 with 21 Bitcoin on: January 07, 2022, 01:35:49 PM
Currently El Salvador government is analyzing their perspective and what the future holds for their investment and infrastructure development, when you talk about the Bitcoin city and how it intends to affect the budget of the nation for some time.

I think they have done it before they've investment on bitcoin since late last year.

And now I would say that it's hard to see wherein they are right or wrong with their investment before the price seems to be going down hard again that they might be losing money in their investment just saying.

Anyhow, I would say that El Salvador might be a good use case on how good bitcoin could really be a hedge specially long term (we can't judge them for holding just for a short amount of time, maybe we will see a clearer picture in the next halving, and bull run).
2720  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Average gainer gambler on: January 06, 2022, 04:12:30 PM
In my locality maximum people are losser. A few people has  gained in gambling. But who has entered in gambling never give up actually. In anyhow they manage money and placed bet. Actually how many percent people overall gainer in gambling? Betting sites day by day gradually getting richer. The Owner of bet365 is one of the top richest person in England.

And that is the very definition of "gambling', you put money on certain games or sports, and you either win or lose. We really don't have the numbers of how many did really win, but it is obvious that as you have said, operator of offline and online casino are getting richer, meaning more and more people are getting addicted and losing on their platform. And that alone is the statistics that you are looking for, probably less that 10% (or even lower) are really winning in gambling.
