2841  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: Godisnji pregled aktivnosti domaceg podforuma on: January 15, 2023, 06:42:21 PM
2842  Economy / Reputation / Re: Royse777 is a dishonest person and thus my negative feedback on: January 13, 2023, 10:21:09 PM
I don't think it's abuse. Now that it's been properly referenced I don't see any problem with it.
So you are saying we should start giving negative trust feedback to all dishonest members in this forum, or it's only ok to do this for Royse, call him names like ''crybaby'' ,mock him all the time, and talk with his customers/clients?
To me this sounds more like some kind of online stokers behavior, than a grown man who can evaluate who deserves negative trust feedback.
Referenced or not, I said this is my opinion and I criticized them both, asking them to stop with this circus show.
If they continue this path, I will have to ignore both of them in future because I don't enjoy watching Telenovelas.
2843  Economy / Collectibles / Re: A ColdKey Community Opportunity on: January 13, 2023, 10:05:56 PM
Create 1 more coldkey card to rule them all. Can Brand it anything. Key generation a topic for discussion.
I would never again use something that don't have some kind of multisig setup that includes customer/buyer is one element in this setup.

Does anyone know exact amount of coins stolen by Yogg from ColdKeys?
I tried to read several topics but I couldn't find total estimates and number of affected people.
2844  Economy / Collectibles / Re: My Cold Keys Just Got Swiped! All Halving Sets!! on: January 13, 2023, 10:05:30 PM
ColdKey charity auction for victims of the apparent theft
LINK: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5434623.msg61590179#msg61590179
Good idea, but how would you know how to refund coins to people who are affected by this incident?
I guess most people are bitcointalk forum members, but there could also be someone who purchased this Cold keys in some other way.
2845  Local / Hrvatski (Croatian) / Re: SCAM upozorenja Zbirni topic on: January 13, 2023, 09:48:08 PM
2846  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: In addition to Bitcoin (BTC) and Satoshi (Sat) I like to propose Nakamoto (Nak) on: January 13, 2023, 09:38:12 PM
There is no need for adding one more Bitcoin unit called Nak when we already have a bunch of them, and in my opinion it can only create more confusion with people.
Even with units we have now I myself have to check conversion data to verify if amount is exact when I am checking values for sats and mBTC.
Maybe in future when Bitcoin value is much larger in fiat terms we could use some better and easier system of units, but until then I think this is enough.
2847  Economy / Speculation / Re: Did Miss El Salvador cause the Bitcoin price to spike last night? on: January 13, 2023, 09:31:48 PM
Alejandra Guajardo, who represented El Salvador at Miss Universe 71, wore a costume with a Bitcoin theme. El Salvador is known as the first nation to legalize Bitcoin as a form of payment. Did Miss El Salvador cause the Bitcoin price to spike last night? We have gained $1,000 over the last 12 hours.
No, Miss Universe competition never affected price of any assets in the world, including Bitcoin, but it sure did look cool to see her carry Bitcoin symbol.
I know lot of people received new El Salvador residence after they decided to make Bitcoin legal tender, but in reality Bitcoin adoption in that country is not that great.
2848  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Live and USDC (TRC20) on: January 13, 2023, 09:11:10 PM
my understanding is that the blockchain does not block it, it is tether that blocks it.   so it does not matter which blockchain it is on.  correct?
People who created Tether can freeze you coins whenever they want, but on other shitcoin chains same thing can be done by CZ on BNB chain, on Tron Justin and his frens can do it, and it's the same for all other centralized blockchains.
It's just a few people who are running nodes and control everything that is happening, similar like you would do on a regular spreadsheet.

One alternative I was talking before is called Stablesats.com, that is based on Lightning Network, or Synthetic Stablecoins Euro and USD backed by Bitcoin that are used in Kollider.xyz:
2849  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Stax (Ledger's latest hardware wallet) on: January 13, 2023, 09:04:13 PM
And speaking of magnets, I was wondering if they could damage some of the internal components in the long run [I'm getting mixed results/answers from Google/Youtube and AFAIK, they (Ledger) haven't mentioned what kind of magnets are being used or how strong they are]?
I don't think this magnets are strong enough to damage anything, except maybe the brains of people who blindly trust this ledger propaganda.
Oh it must be great device that was designer by iOS designer and he added that special secure click sound feature Roll Eyes
Another stupid suggestion is that Stax is somehow family friendly device, so you would use this magnets to connect all family wallet, that one of the more stupid things I heard in a while.
2850  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Hardware Wallets that work with Smartphones? on: January 13, 2023, 08:40:01 PM
With the proper cable or an adapter into the original cable Ledger Nano S (and S Plus) can also easily get connected to smartphone. Tested/used by me with Android phones.
I've even posted sometime in the past the adapter I'm using (for microUSB, but there also exist such adapted for USB-C too)
Maybe this partially works like you say but I won't add ledger nano S in the list because you can't install or update firmware using only smartphone, this is only possible with desktop computers.
I am only adding hardware wallets that can work standalone only with smartphones.

Trezor can work on a phone via micro USB -> USB-C with trezor suite (web) and mycelium. I'm not sure how good the eth support is but everything else looks like it works (I think I've only used bitcoin with it though).
I will try with microUSB - USB-C adapter, but Trezor doesn't have mobile app yet, and I am not sure Trezor firmware can be updated using mobile devices.
Can you please check and confirm this when you can?

In addition, the Keepkey hardware wallet can open through mycelium using a smartphone using micro USB.
Here's a Youtube video tutorial on that.
I am not a fan of KeepKey wallet but I will consider adding it to my list, maybe in separate category with other devices that use adapters.
I think Keepkey is Trezor fork, so it works similar for Trezor One and Trezor T, but I don't know if other wallet works or only Mycellium.

Just one idea: maybe add one extra column that contains one or more mobile wallets that are confirmed to work with the device.
Reason being that especially when new technologies start to get adopted in hardware wallets like NFC, many wallet apps don't yet have the functionality to make it work.
I will have to ask someone to make columns and table for me later, but only after I collect enough information.

2851  Other / Archival / Re: [BIG LIST] Crypto Debit Cards on: January 13, 2023, 07:57:05 PM
Our fees are 6 USD + 3.5% to issue the cards. The payment is made through our own payment gateway and can be done in ~20 stablecoins + SHIB.
To refill the cards, the fees are 3 USD + 3.5%.
Monthly fee is 1.75 USD taken from the card at the end of the month. If the card falls below 1.75 USD balance at that time, it will be deactivated.
Do you support Bitcoin or only stable coins?
Fees are not bad, maybe I would remove monthly fees, but I see now how some recent shady competition is basically stealing money from people.

I'm from the FCF Pay team!
It would help if you could create separate topic in forum for your FCF cards.

The cards are virtual USD cards, similar to prepaid gift cards, but they are tokenizable (they can be added to Apple/Google/Samsung Pay) by using a US/Canada number. Unfortunately, it seems that delivery to online SMS services fails recently. I suggest that you ask a friend in USA/Canada to help you by relaying the SMS validation code. It may take 10-15 minutes to receive the SMS.
Why do I need to enter my physical address with city for virtual cards?
I understand why you need phone numbers for SMS verification, but I would consider adding some alternative way of confirmation.

One more question, what exactly are this fees that shows up during card creation?

We can also offer physical cards companies/projects. For individuals we will start offering the physical cards in about 2 weeks.
I am interested for this cards.
I can't find information about your telegram chat, and it's better if you write in forum when you release physical cards, with more information how to order them.
2852  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is it possible to delivered or received goods by keeping the location secret?! on: January 13, 2023, 07:39:52 PM
I went to the goods board and saw that many physical things are being sold, and hardware is also being sold. And then the desire arises in my mind to buy some of them. But I am thinking about the location  Now my question is it possible to make delivery by the third party keeping my location invisible to them.
It's much easier if goods are located in the same country you live, because you can complete transaction in person face-to-face.
Delivery to other countries can be more complicated but you can still use PO Boxes, or use alternative names and delivery address to receive package.
However, you can't expect to have 100% anonymity when you are buying and selling stuff online.
2853  Other / Archival / Re: [ANN] [banned mixer] - Best Bitcoin Mixer / Tumbler on: January 13, 2023, 07:23:42 PM
What makes us unique is that between each swap the funds go through several addresses before being exchanged again. This makes it difficult to identify the link between these wallets.
Do you plan to use multiple addresses only for Bitcoin, or both for Monero and Bitcoin?
We can also do this manually so I would have to compare fees that are spent like that with fees paid on mixero website, to see if it is worth of risk.
As for address reuse, nobody who is mixing Bitcoin is not that crazy to use exchange receiving address or doing addresses reuse, but I was not asking about that.
2854  Economy / Reputation / Re: Royse777 is a dishonest person and thus my negative feedback on: January 13, 2023, 07:03:08 PM
Would both of you guys just grow up finally?!
Poker Player you are calling Royse a crybaby but at the same time you are acting like a spoiled brat who is changing his trust feedback all the time, and you look like obsessed with Royse.
From all the scams and lost funds that happened recently (including another bounty manager recently) you only choose to target one person, so I have to say that looks very bias.
You are contacting other members with private messages and you telling them to avoid doing business with Royse... that is borderline insane, and your negative feedback for Royse is trust abuse in my oppinion.
2855  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Hardware Wallets that work with Smartphones? on: January 12, 2023, 08:45:58 PM

2856  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Stax (Ledger's latest hardware wallet) on: January 12, 2023, 08:20:26 PM
There is one nice review video released for Ledger Stax and I think it will clear things up for many people who are thinking of buying on of this devices.
I won't say any spoilers but I have to give credits to Adam Venture for spotting something I missed, how misleading ledger website can be sometimes.
Ledger Stax is using magnets, that can be used for connecting multiple devices, but they are saying that this somehow magically creates the sound of security, while it has no connection with security whatsoever.
Customers can get the wrong impression that Stax is somehow safer than other hardware wallets, when in reality it has the same tech like older models.

2857  Bitcoin / Hardware wallets / Re: Ledger Live and USDC (TRC20) on: January 12, 2023, 08:10:49 PM
if you were going to keep some money in stable coin on tron, would you do it using tether or usdc?  what is your personal preference?
I would be very careful holding anything in USDT stable coin, as I heard lot of big players are hedge betting against Tether at the moment.
This means that Tether could soon lose peg for dollar, and in the worst case it could happen some legal case against them that will bring it to zero.
People think this is impossible to happen, but we already saw many stable coins going to zero so there is always a risk.
This could temporary affect Bitcoin price, but eventually BTC would recover and USDT tokens could be gone forever.

I also don't suggest holding anything on shitcoin blockchains (Tron, etc) that can seize and freeze your coins, and USDT can be frozen anytime.
If you must keep USDT short term than I think that Liquid chain is solid option, it is available on ledger, and you can easily trade it back for Bitcoin.
Good alternative for holding stable coins is using Lightning Network fiat currencies with Bitcoin collateral, but this is still not widely accepted.

2858  Other / Archival / Re: WasabiWallet.io | Open-source, non-custodial Bitcoin Wallet for desktop on: January 12, 2023, 08:00:51 PM
Hmm.  The CEO of Chainalysis (Michael Gronager) is attending at the WEF 2023 event.  Just so you know which side he is on.
As far as I know, he is not directly connected with Wasabi and other Bitcoin wallets.
WEF is one of the main promoters of CBDC crap, and I bet someone from ethereum shitcoin foundation will be there, it's one of their favorite little projects for a while.
It's ''good'' to hear 5000 swiss army soldiers, fighter jets, plus their private security will protect all this ''nice'' guys having good time and playing world economic fun games, while there is no-fly zone during this event.
I wonder why are they so afraid of regular people...
2859  Other / Archival / Re: [ANN] [banned mixer] - Best Bitcoin Mixer / Tumbler on: January 12, 2023, 07:42:08 PM
This way of mixing is a method rarely seen in the world of crypto mixers. Indeed this one is based on swapping, BTC->XMR->BTC. After exchanging your funds into XMR the funds will go through automatically generated wallets which are not linked to any exchange making it virtually «impossible» to trace.
I don0t think this method is rarely seen.
I already seen this swap being done on other websites in a manual way, and one website is even offering this automatically conversion already (I won't advertise it here publicly).
However, source of ''mixed'' Bitcoin that is sent to receiving address is not clear to me, and how is this any different than other mixers.

An on-chain analysis is not possible because Monero is a privacy-based crypto and it is not possible to track these transactions on the blockchain. All links to the Monero addresses of the exchanges will be broken, as the funds will go through several Monero wallet. Also no correlation can be made with the amount of funds that will be exchanged from Monero to Bitcoin since the funds will be split into random pieces.
On-chain analysis is still going to be available for Bitcoin that is sent both ways, and unless you have freshly mined coins it's not going to be impossible to make connection, especially if there is connection with sent and received Bitcoin.
2860  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: Forget about exchanger search! Use BestChange! on: January 12, 2023, 07:33:21 PM
What do you suggest as an alternative to standard KYC-procedures?
There are p2p trading alternatives and decentralized exchanges like Bisq that don't have any KYC verification procedures.
I understand that running big centralized exchanges like Binance and others is almost impossible nowadays without some kind of KYC, but look what happened with FTX and similar examples.
Documents leaked from ''safu'' Binance, coins got seized from ''trusted'' FTX and who knows what else is happening behind the scenes.
