301  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: April 17, 2024, 01:21:28 AM
Russell starting strong for the Lakers while Zion carrying the Pelicans right now. It's not a good start for Lebron and AD but Ingram and McCollum are also struggling. It seems both teams understand that it's going to be a battle of attrition and the real battle starts at the second half. It's going to be a problem if Zion gassed out in the later part of the game.

Zion is definitely trying to do something special today but it doesn’t look good as far as the rest of the team actually winning the game. The Lakers look dominant out there. Zion is going to have to find some help if they’re going to make this a game down the stretch. Looks like he might end up with 40 and a loss.

Edit: Zion getting help now! They just went on a 9-0 run and got within 2. The Lakers better start guarding the other guys…

Edit 2: LeBron looking tired… Falling asleep on defense and settling for bad 3 point shots early in the clock on offense… LA needs to burn some timeouts!

Edit 3: Glad to see they just took back to back timeouts. Game is tied now though…

Edit 4: A couple questionable calls in the last 2 minutes and Zion going down with an injury in the last minute saved the Lakers who looked like they were about to lose. I hope Zion is OK.

Well, I think that for this type of equipment, you don't need something as complex as that. Without a doubt, a good power supply is an asset, but it is also not worth having anything more than what is really necessary.

Either way, it's something useful for other uses.

That thing looks like it should be in Doc's garage hooked up to a flux capacitor!  It might be nice to have for future issues with this sort of power supply and getting sick of having different power supplies scattered around your house but seems like overkill to power such a small device.  I guess the question was asked because they aren't sending power supplies immediately or because some ordered without power supplies and need to find an acceptable unit?  Surely it would be better to wait if your psu is just delayed a month, right?

"6250 fuck em all bits"

Just looking for some clarification.  Is that 0.0000625 BTC?  Is that bits the currency?  I've seen people use "bits" in place of "satoshis" and I've also heard people refer to bits as 0.01 BTC.  So for me, is this $4 in BTC or is it $4,000,000 in BTC?  Both seem out of place for the price tag.  I think it would be great if the actual amount of BTC held on these coins was stated as well as what will be found under the hologram and with transaction fees considered what a user could expect to be able to send to their address from these coins if claimed.  I'm a bit surprised I'm the first person to ask these questions before ordering.  Am I the only one who doesn't know what a "bit" is definitively?

EDIT: I looked up the amounts using the transaction posted and it appears they hold 0.00625 BTC.  Any information about what is found when you peel the hologram?
304  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Arizona Supreme Court rules state can use 1864 law to ban nearly ALL abortions on: April 16, 2024, 07:30:06 PM
I think regardless of your stance on abortion you should be able to respect that states have rights and are choosing to have different abortion policies. This is how the United States of America is supposed to work. If you don’t like the laws in your state, relocate to a state that appeases you. That’s the freedom America offers. Take advantage.

As long as a state doesn't try and make AK47s illegal.

Point is moot though.  Trump doesn't give a shit if abortion is illegal or not.  His political instincts are correct that the more the election becomes about abortion, the worse republicans will do in november.  If he is elected though, then it's a totally different story.  He doesn't need people to vote for him anymore and it's a near certainty that Republicans will control the House and the Senate, so when the federal abortion ban hits his desk he will no longer need to convince pro choice republicans and women with husbands that have joined his cult to vote for him.  He can either risk having the crazy  vagina-goo obsessed evangelicals turn on him or pwn the libs....hmm what a tough choice for him.

The way I explain it to people is that if Trump is elected, there will be a 50/50 chance that abortion will be outlawed in all 50 states in 2025.

If you want to be sure abortion is legal in 2025, your only choice is voting Democrat.

Then you do not have any idea what you are talking about.  I thought Trump was grabbing girls by the pussy and having his way with them.  If that's true, you really think he hasn't paid for his fair share of abortions in his life?  You really think that's something he's focused on?  Not to mention, if you know anything about Republicans you would know we support the states having their own rights.  It's the Democrats who are dead set on trying to force their mental illness on everyone federally by any means necessary.  All Republicans want is the constitution to be respected and laws upheld with less government spending.

the owner of the warehouse will mine by himself and stay under the 10k numbers by exclusively using nicehash.

Can you speak a little more to this.  I guess I haven't kept up with the new law you're speaking of and have some research to do.  Feel free to point me in the right direction.

How does using Nicehash mitigate this new law?  Do they not require KYC up to a certain point?

I get that this may not be the right topic to explore this further, so feel free to respond via PM if you have the time.  Thanks!

I also want to say that I think many in the community are disappointed that you can no longer continue your solar mining.  It was a great project to follow and your growth/dedication to the project was commendable.

Awe inspiring, debtcoin federal reserve note stackers will be priced out.

I find your video chilling: https://youtu.be/1ee-cHbCI0s?t=13

Wow, chills is right. I just watched it. "Defeat can still be profitable"

Since I didn't see it, I had to take matters into my own hands.

Base: Purplewood

I wouldn't even know what Purplewood is if it wasn't for our old friend WoodCollector.  I guess we may owe him a bit of gratitude for educating us on wood and how to tell hand carved from machined pieces.

Good luck with your sales.  I like the design.  I am a little bit curious what is under the hologram though.  I don't see a bump or any indication of a recessed area.  Is there a private key engraved?  I didn't see any information about it, but $650 for a titanium round seems expensive so I must be missing something.
307  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What do casinos do with inactive accounts? on: April 16, 2024, 07:01:12 PM
This brings up some interesting points that I hadn't considered before.  It peaks my interest on what different casino policies are.  Am I in jeopardy of losing my Stake account if I don't sign in every so often?  This isn't even something I have considered, but I'm also a pretty frequent user of the site so it likely wouldn't effect me.  Still...  It would be good to know.  Maybe someone could research this for all the major casinos and post a new thread with the different policies regarding inactive accounts?  I know I'd be appreciative of the information, so I'm sure others would as well.
308  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K Challenge on: April 16, 2024, 06:55:59 PM
I went ahead and added the format for posting your progress to the bottom of the original post.  I think it would be cool, if possible, for someone to create some sort of updating image that could be hosted on the original post so progress is automatically updated.  I realize that may be a tall order for something so silly, but maybe someone out there wants to help take this to the next level.  Smiley

Nice to see so many people participating in this.  You are all doing great.  The first 45 days or so was difficult, but now I couldn't imagine not getting my 100 push-ups in for a day.  I'll go a day without eating before I go without my push-ups.  Cool
309  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: April 16, 2024, 06:41:59 PM
This little dip is nothing.  I have much bigger problems; the rabbits are eating the tulips we planted last fall so my wife ordered some coyote urine from Amazon and instructed me to spray it over everything.  It's a tiny little spray bottle that you have to pump with your finger much like a bottle of perfume and it comes out in such a fine mist (also just like perfume)... well it went everywhere with the breeze a now I smell like a f@#$ng homeless coyote.  I'm hoping it's not female coyote urine or I'm going to be in big trouble.  I think I'll just skip my nature walk today.

Not to criticize, but I think you’d have better luck if you used your own urine and applied it directly to the rabbits.

Nice dip this morning. We appear to be on the brink of $52K if we lose support here. If that goes, then it may be appropriate to panic a little. I still feel extremely confident BTC will be higher in a year, but nothing is promised.

That might be true but I don't want to end up as the subject in a viral video on TikTok.   Maybe if I wore a disguise?

You could end up the star of an OnlyFans account... Maybe?  Stacking sats with bunny traps...

I also recommend dressing in a bunny suit to gain their trust and assert dominance over them.

If that doesn't work, you could try one of these: https://www.amazon.com/Havahart-5277-Motion-Activated-Repellent-Sprinkler/dp/B078HK12H8/
If you are dead set in soaking them in urine you could add this: https://www.amazon.com/Oumefar-Bottle-Washing-Household-Cleaning/dp/B09SG87KSL/

My best advice would be to get a dog though.  They're cool and will handle the urination for you.  They also double as a food vacuum.
310  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: After losing the money in gambling, what is your strategy on: April 16, 2024, 06:32:04 PM
Now he had decided to start the gambling again with the loan money to balance the previous loss of 2000$.What is your opinion on this,I had suggested him to go to the regular job to reduce the loan in step by step to reduce the loan burden. But he had word of “We can earn,Where we had loss everything “.Share your opinion on this.

Gambling with money you can't afford to lose is bad.  Chasing those losses with more money you can't afford to lose is horrible.  Chasing those losses with money received as a loan is absolutely stupid.  This is why people need to view casinos like arcades.  That is what they are.  Expensive arcades.  Sure, maybe winning money adds some excitement, but you are paying for entertainment, not working to earn money.  It is possible that gambling away the loan will result in the rest of your friend's life becoming much harder.  A lower credit score alone may cost him tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars in his lifetime through higher rates if he wants to buy a home or get a credit card.

Don't chase losses.  Chase fun and don't be scared to spend money to have it.
311  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Jake Paul to Fight Mike Tyson in Live Netflix Boxing Event - July 20 on: April 16, 2024, 06:27:27 PM
His trainings are real good but it's true that when we age, our strength and thinking becomes weaker and slower. But I'd still give him credits for being at that good shape even he's aged a lot, he's still considered the living legend.

As they say, strength is the last thing to go with age (or at least that's what I've heard).  Everything else starts going pretty quick once you hit 40 though.  Seeing the recent video of Mike Tyson running is a good example of that.  You can see that he is still a very strong individual, but just being able to run a 40 is awkward and a bit of an accomplishment.  I think the video showed that Tyson has the strength to still do things, but his body just doesn't move like it used to.  Still, his top tier boxing skills may open up an opportunity to land a knockout blow on Jake.  Make no mistake about it though, Tyson is old and it shows a lot.
312  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: April 16, 2024, 06:24:44 PM
I'm going with the Los Angeles Lakers today over the New Orleans Pelicans.  I think when it comes down to it, LeBron is still the best player in the world.  He just has to use his energy wisely.  I think today will be a repeat of their last game and LeBron will dominate.  We'll see...

New Orleans Pelicans - Los Angeles Lakers
Winner (Incl. Overtime)
Los Angeles Lakers

Odds
2.00

Sacramento Kings - Golden State Warriors - Golden State Warriors (-1.5) Well, experience-wise, the Warriors might win this again just like what happened last season when they were beaten by the Warriors.

I was tempted to add the Warriors win to this bet because I think have been playing great while the Kings have struggled a bit lately, but the Kings handled them last year and now the Warriors are a year older and the Kings have gotten a year more of experience.  Both of those things go against the Warriors.  So I decided not to bet on the game.  I really think it could go either way and maybe it being a single game instead of a series might favor the Warriors.
313  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Network jam. on: April 16, 2024, 04:42:49 PM
If the Bitcoin testnet is any guide then it appears Bitcoin is in for another major spam attack to coincide with the halving. I think those who run alternative networks enjoy using times of high visibility for Bitcoin to display its lack of scalability. I think what’s coming over the next week will pretty much grind normal Bitcoin use to a halt due to the resulting fees. At least for a little while.
314  Other / Politics & Society / Re: [Canada] Trudeau's balls are nowhere to be found 🤣 on: April 16, 2024, 04:37:57 PM
I don’t know what’s going on in Canada but I am concerned that the insanity we’re seeing there is headed to the United States. My friends in Canada are seemingly afraid of anything. Even having the wrong opinion can get you in trouble over there now. Not to mention the censorship… I never thought I’d see this level of government overreach in my lifetime.

I am not informed enough on what is going on there, but I have also heard and read of the government over-reach on people who seemingly have become a bother. During the lockdowns in 2020, it became global news how the truckers of the country were being mistreated by the Canadian government and how their bank accounts were getting frozen and seized. What does ones bank account have to do with the right to protest? Your guess is as good as mine.

Though, I doubt you are going to see that level of authoritarian measures within your country, to be honest, in spite of your geographic location, you are very different from each other (culturally and politically), the people of the United States are more interested in keeping in check the government when it tries to reach areas which it is not supposed to touch in the first place. Depends whom you ask, anyways.
Still, Canada is a very lovely place, hopefully I can visit some day.

I have friends in Canada and it’s amazing how little they are aware of what is going on. I often ask them if they’ve heard news stories or if they are able to view news certain news sites and that’s when they realize how bad it is… The recent video circulating of a man being refused his own money during a bank withdrawal attempt should scare everyone into researching Bitcoin, although I doubt those in Canada are able to view it.

Big news this morning but not unexpected. Woj is reporting that Blake Griffin (via his IG) has retired from the NBA. Blake never found success after leaving the Los Angeles Clippers but that’s somewhat to be expected given his athletic play style. Dunking over everyone is definitely a young man’s game. Those early days on the Clippers were something else though…

After the crackdown of mixers it seems like there are people in the community who thought they could use exchangers like mixers.  This has led to exchangers beginning to feel the heat from regulators and they have already been cut off from use in the United States as far as I can tell.  No doubt they're being pressed further for information about transactions by law enforcement and that is the likely reason for freezing customer funds.  I'm sure they have a massive spreadsheet of blacklisted coins and are acting aggressively to stay in business.  It's a fool's errand though.  The first time someone uses an exchanger after a big hack they'll all be shut down just like mixers, which is perhaps why they are being so aggressive in the first place, to discourage that use.
319  Economy / Speculation / Re: 100 Push-Ups A Day Until Bitcoin Is $100K Challenge on: April 15, 2024, 08:51:13 PM
Looks like our total number of push-ups is going to soon pass Bitcoin's price.  It will be interesting to see if we can stick with it and beat Bitcoin to 100,000!

We should try and get everyone to report on halving day so we can get a good total.  Smiley

Have we reached a conclusion on everything we want in the format for posting our updates?  If so, I'll add it to the OP for everyone.

Cool property.  A shame it isn't buildable.  Looks like it would be a decent place for a coffee hut or a self-service car wash.  I wonder if there's any hope to reclassify the property or if there's another way around being able to host something there.  Maybe a food truck or something golf related like a mini-golf hole or digital driving range considering it's proximity to a golf course.  I put the picture up for you.  Good luck with the sale!
