1281  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price $45k by ending of 2023: AI prediction on: December 08, 2023, 09:45:19 PM
Well, this prediction is looking real good right now. I’m a bit surprised we moved up so far so fast but I guess there’s been enough cycles now that the big boys have it figured out and are stacking all they can before the big god candle hits. My question to AI now would be, what will the price be 2 years from now.
1282  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Count down to Bitcoin halving. on: December 08, 2023, 06:59:01 PM
I've seen so many bitcoin halving countdown on different sites and it shows that they have a different time on every each of them. I guess that they are all estimates of the bitcoin halving. I'm personally not much exited about the halving to be honest as I experienced it a few times already, the thing that makes me exited is the possibility that bitcoin price can drop after the bitcoin halving. I know that it would be the last chance to accumulate bitcoin as much as I can on it's lowest price possible before bull run, so yeah, I'm anticipating a price dump after halving and I'm currently preparing my moon bags to be filled.

I’m sure different countdowns have different methods of trying to predict the exact time of the halving. It isn’t an exact science though. Things like luck and network growth play a little part in determining exactly when it will happen. I think like you it is also possible the price will drop immediately after the halving when people realize it takes a year or 18 months for the market to peak once the new supply is halved.
1283  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Finally Bitcoin Devolpers planning to kill Ordinals and Inscription on: December 08, 2023, 06:05:09 PM
Bitcoiners seem to have this argument where they’re against using the blockchain for purposes that they don’t seem worthy while ignoring all other opinions. If Ordinals are banned from the blockchain, I think Lightning should get the same treatment. I never signed up for giving block space to some other layer of privately patented transactions. The fact one company pushing their patents is making these decisions is the single worst thing that has ever happened to Bitcoin.
1284  Other / Politics & Society / Re: "If People Think Things Are Bad Now…" Tucker And Alex Jones Talk Deplatforming. on: December 08, 2023, 05:56:37 PM
That was a great interview. Alex Jones made some pretty big accusations which you’d have to believe he at least has sources for after his billion dollar lawsuit issue… My favorite though is his claim that Joe Biden is found regularly walking around the White House naked at night confused and needing to be drugged up to function.
1285  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: December 08, 2023, 05:53:33 PM
How about this for a daily parlay today…

Orlando Magic beating the Detroit Pistons
Brooklyn Nets beating the Washington Wizards
Minnesota Timberwolves beating the Memphis Grizzlies
Denver Nuggets beating the Houston Rockets
Dallas Mavericks beating the Portland Trail Blazers

Maybe also the…
Clippers beating the Jazz
Celtics beating the Knicks
… but I’m less confident over those two.
1286  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 08, 2023, 05:52:49 AM
Ordered one of these today...

https://shop.futurebit.io/?utm_medium=site-redirect-01&utm_source=futurebit

Having an Apollo BTC v1 I couldn't go past ordering this new model. I love tinkering and having a node and 10TH/s miner in one sounds like a cool thing. Sure it's not economically viable but I'll definitely get my moneys worth out of it by playing around.

How's everyone doing anyway? Haven't been around lately, just got back from a 6 week trip over to the US and settling back down to things now and BTC doing well which we all like to see!

Nice pickup. Looking at the site now it appears that they’re all sold out. Bummer since the email said they were going on sale tomorrow, but I guess it’s tomorrow in some parts of the world already. I guess I’ll have to sit this one out but I do like that someone is building home miners. I just hope you paid USD and not BTC for it cuz we headed moonward.
1287  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 08, 2023, 03:57:18 AM
LeBron is putting on a master class in basketball domination right now. He wants to win this tournament. He’s got 30 already early in the 3rd quarter and hasn’t missed a free throw or a three pointer yet this game as the Lakers hold a 30 point lead. If I were the coach I probably wouldn’t let him play the fourth quarter, but if he does he might end up with 50.
1288  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 08, 2023, 02:27:10 AM
Bucks vs Pacers game looks like its quite close up until the end right now, I didn't expected it to be this close. I mean you can see how teams do not really care about this from the fact that aside from Bucks we have Pacers, Lakers, Pelicans who are at the semi finals, you think these three teams are any good? Maybe you can consider Lakers a bit, and that's when they all play well, not even a single player can have a bad day then suddenly they are terrible, but aside from Bucks all the other three looks like they are not that great. Bucks may not be even at the finals, right now as of this moment they are behind, they may win of course there are some minutes left, but it shows how little people care about it.

It is no longer a close one, Indiana Pacers have really been so clutch in this in season tournament, just like they did against the Boston Celtics in the 4th Quarter, here were are again with Tyrese Haliburton putting on a show, and carrying the team, he should be an easy MVP candidate for the IST should they win this NBA Cup on Sunday.

Haliburton & Turner are turning into quite the pair in Indiana. The Pacers have been on fire lately to my surprise. Haliburton had himself a night tonight being efficient from the floor but it still couldn’t match the stats that Giannis put up. Damian Lillard didn’t quite pull his weight tonight though, shooting 7-20 isn’t going to get it done.
1289  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Octotank12 with 2 whatsminer 30s+ review. Not ready for full review. on: December 07, 2023, 10:24:26 PM
More follow up they gave six coupons good value coupons 350 usd.

Since I still have gpus I decided to buy a case using the $350 coupon. so a 600 dollar case became

$356.80 with shipping to me in New Jersey. Gear was in stock I ordered it on August 9th

Took cheap shipping and it was due in 30-40 days which would sept 9 to sept 19

It is now 60 days Oct 10.  I will post to let you know if they send me a case or a refund.

This is more concerning as it is one of their main products a GPU case.

Well serves me right for giving them a chance to show they are back on track.

Bummer. Keep us updated on the case. If it goes well will you be ordering more of them or do you have some coupons to spare for a fellow miner who has never owned a GPU rack/case before? Maybe I could stop stockpiling PCs if I were to switch to something like this. My office is starting to look like a PC cemetery.
1290  Other / Meta / Re: (Any Guesses?) Are there many real (unpaid) people still posting here at BCT? on: December 07, 2023, 09:25:44 PM
A good test of the paid posters question will be when the mixers advertising ban goes into effect. Will we see a massive dropoff in posts per day here or will it not be noticeable. I would imagine given the number of mixers offering signature campaigns that the number of posts per day would be somewhat noticeably effected.
1291  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Which currency will able to replace the $$? If 3rd world war will happen! on: December 07, 2023, 09:23:56 PM
I’m not sure that World War 3 will make a difference in the global reserve currency but there are obviously those trying to replace the dollar anyway for a variety of reasons. Right now the big competitor on the rise seems to be the BRICS currency, which is a real threat for taking a majority of global trade away from the United States Dollar.

OgNasty. You should be relieved to know that the BRICS officially issuing a global and multinational currency is very unlikely to happen. You know why? Because even among those BRICS members which seem to be powerful and have a anatognistic relation with the United States, they still have problems amoung each other. Take for example China and India, which are the bulk of the Economical power of the BRICS, to this day they still have conflicts over their border in the Himalayas, to the point they have had clashes.

How are they supposed to try to dethrone the USA economical if they can't even get along and solve territorial problems and conflicts? You may be underestimating your government.

I don’t think it is possible to underestimate our current government to be honest. They are either wildly incompetent or purposefully trying to destroy this country in the name of globalism. That being said, the countries in BRICS may have their issues, but controlling the world’s reserve currency and escaping the financial oppression of the United States is certainly more important for them.
1292  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 07, 2023, 09:00:06 PM
People are accusing Zach LaVine of faking his foot injury to force a trade to the Lakers. He’s even scheduled to return when DiAngelo Russell becomes eligible to be traded. I’m not sure if I believe this, but it is within the realm of possibility. I don’t think Zach LaVine will still be a member of the Chicago Bulls when the trade deadline rolls around.
1293  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Work & work & work until you begin to break, is there no way out? on: December 07, 2023, 07:40:54 PM
When you’re caught in the day to day grind it can feel like you’re trapped or even enslaved. I think the way out is to save money and then start a business doing something you love. Then work won’t feel like a trap. Instead it will feel like you’re doing what you love to do with your life. It can be hard and not everyone will make it, but maybe you owe it to yourself to try.
1294  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 07, 2023, 07:38:05 PM
So far it looks like we just had a correction for ants. The market seems to already be building on that mini correction with higher lows as it starts moving back up. I don’t think this drop is cause for concern yet, but if a lower low occurs below $42,800 then I think it could trigger another leg down. For now though it seems like we could still be in rally mode.
1295  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 07, 2023, 07:35:06 PM
A couple of good tournament games on today and they’re both televised. The first game is on ESPN and the second on TNT. I think the Bucks can beat the Pacers but the Pelicans game with the Lakers might be a toss up. Brandon Ingram has been on fire lately and he always plays well against his former team. LeBron really wants to win this tournament though, so I think it’ll come down to LeBron vs Giannis.
1296  Economy / Speculation / Re: Can anyone be a Bitcoin speculation expert? on: December 07, 2023, 06:17:06 AM
Speculating day to day movements is one thing but trading them is another. It’s fun to talk about the market and get a feel for how it’s moving but at the end of the day the way for most people to play the Bitcoin market is to dollar cost average buy on a regular basis and then sell a chunk of your stack every four years.
1297  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Everything has changed on: December 07, 2023, 05:42:22 AM
The whole Covid thing has messed with a lot of people. Many businesses were destroyed that had been in families for generations. A lot of people lost their jobs. Many were forced to take injections or have their way of life destroyed. Children were forced to school from home and are still behind where they should be. I think a lot of people are still trying to come to terms with what happened.
1298  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: NBA 2023-2024 betting on: December 07, 2023, 05:37:52 AM
Some mismatches today that might make for a decent parlay. I like the 76ers over the Wizards, the Timberwolves over the Spurs, the Warriors over the Trail Blazers, and the Nuggets over the Clippers (this one goes against the odds). I may even be tempted to take the Mavericks over the Jazz. We’ll see how all that plays out.

Looks like the Clippers ruined my parlay. The Nuggets had all their main guys as well so that is a bit of a surprise to me. Maybe the Clippers are finally starting to get it together. The Joker had a little bit of a bad night. He still got decent numbers but shooting 9-32 isn’t going to get it done. The Nuggets as a team didn’t shoot well from 3 either.

1300  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Russia: Supreme Court Bans “LGBT Movement” as “Extremist” on: December 06, 2023, 09:53:56 PM
Putin wants the support from the majority. LGBT Movement in Russia is a minority unlike in US where it is a majority.

I don’t think the LGBT movement in the US is the majority, the media just tries to make it seem that way. People are mostly silent about it because liberals will attempt to destroy your life any way they can if you oppose their views. Even a large percentage of gay people oppose transgender people merging with their movement and view trans as mental illness. Russia is in trouble going against the views of the New World Order though. This is how World Wars start.
