3201  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: adbit.biz web not found on: July 11, 2017, 09:02:07 AM
Is adbit.biz website down ? how is my balance in there ? anyone is using adbit.biz ?

I am not using the site but out of curiosity tried to open it. It gave a 404 Not Found Message.
Perhaps there is something wrong with the site files or with the host. It can be a temporary error too. Its a concern if you have your money with them. What site was that, a wallet, exchange of pay to click site?

its a network ad service, just hoping my balance's not disappear. Thanks for your answer
I tried to research and browse the site but it looks online now. I hope your balance was still there since its just only a maintenace from their part. And you csn close this thread since this issue was solved already.

Most of the time all that is needed is just exercising some little patience in the face of something like this and everything will be back to normal. Anyways, I dont blame you because of the uncertainty that is over the crypto-space as an active site yesterday could have turn to scam as at this morning this alone is enough to exercise some fear. Also if you cannot exercise patience, the best thing is to withdraw your funds there so we dont have to go over this again. And also lock the thread since its solved already.
3202  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Got scammed, any way to get it back? on: July 10, 2017, 07:36:24 PM
I'm new so sorry if I posted this in the wrong thread.

Long story short I accidentally used a scam bitcoin blender (bitcoin-blender.com or http://bitblenduun5mnwp.onion/) and got scammed for 0.1 BTC. Is there any way for me to get them back or am I just fucked? It may not seem like a lot but I spent all my money on it so it is a huge blow.

Thanks
In as much as I feel sorry for you but at the same time, I will blame you because for you to find your way to the forum means you are really not a newbie. The hard fact is that your fund is gone and why I blame you is because of all the several reputable mixing coin services, you choose to use that one, even a click on my signature will give the maximum result at no costs. But either way, this  will serve as a eye opener for others.
3203  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: About to invest ~120$ in...? on: July 10, 2017, 06:11:22 PM
Hello guys,

I'd like to invest around 120$ into Cryptocurrencies. Therefore I'm searching for some advice, where and what to invest in. If possible, I dont want to trade or just hold currencies, because I'd miss the fun there lol.

Thank you in advance!
With that amount, for those saying its peanut, just be rest assured that its an amount you can afford to lose in case anything happens because nothing is certain even profit because in the next few days depending on the choice you made, can either turn to zero, or multiply just for few days but since you looking for holding, then I suggest you go the route of someone who suggested ICOs because they are relatively cheap and if you invest early you get to enjoy some bonus but at the same time, be sure to know which one you are going into because like I said, nothing is certain.
3204  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: How/Where to Report Stolen Cryptocurrency? on: July 09, 2017, 08:11:49 PM
I've had my money stolen from Poloniex. Contacted poloniex- they said they can't do anything.
At this point I know there's no way to get it back, but I just want to report it somewhere within the legal system.
Can I report it to FBI or the local Police?
Any other places/people to report to?

Try to see if you can somehow trace and track where the coins are going. Maybe try getting the IP address from poloniex (though the thief can still mask his IP)? One information might lead you to another which in turn might help you catch the thief.
You can file a report, but i don't think the authorities might be able to do/help much. But provide them with as much information as you can.

Even if he is able to use the IP locator and determine the location of the individual but now in another country, how does he wants to get the coins back and this is a big issue scammers are exploiting about bitcoin. For me, since the coins cannot be gotten back then the fault is on Poloniex for failing to keep the funds safe and several people have been complaining of coins missing on exchange sites as a result of hacking. The moment the exchange site can be made to be responsible for such loss, they get to do more in terms of security.
3205  Economy / Services / Re: Trusted user to make a payment on: July 09, 2017, 05:46:02 PM
There is definitely more to this that the eyes can see because most times the money is not what matter but the information you have to part with and moreso this someone willing to pay more than 100% of what he actually needs, calls for concern in which Op is of no different in this case. To those considering this, be sure you making the right decision.
3206  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Come in Through the Gates not Over the Fences on: July 09, 2017, 04:48:35 PM
Guess this is what the anti-illegal migrants want others to understand.

Laws are laws and should be respected. We should all insist on respect to the laws otherwise evil ones will also take advantage of the lack of respect for our laws.

This is something that is important that people need to understand and not only on immigration matters but also on all issues of life because without the laws there is room for anarchy and that is exactly what government agencies are trying to do and the moment they want to ensure implementation, people start complaining forgetting that the law was not written today rather its just the implementation that is now pronounced. If you know you cant keep the law, just stay away.
3207  Economy / Economics / Re: When to buy and sell bitcoin on: July 09, 2017, 02:06:22 PM
When is the best time to buy bitcoin and when do you think is the best time to sell?
I think its a great time to buy now but when is a good time to sell (if you have any idea please share)

Since its actually difficult to know the next thing that will happen to price with all certainty, I will say the best time to sell is at the point where you are convinced that you can live with whatever happen next until then, dont sell and the same thing goes with when its time to buy, just buy but do it intelligently because at the point of waiting maybe it will drop further, it might take a reverse turn and you ended up blaming if you didnt buy few minutes ago.
3208  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When investment goes -100% on: July 08, 2017, 05:09:00 PM
So I'm actually facing this dilemma at the moment. I made three investments in three coins at poloniex.
Now all three of those are down more than 100% of the value that I bought them for, so I guess I got no options but to wait it out. It may take long time to get back to the value where I don't lose too much, but that is the only option I have.
Have you experienced anything similar in your tradings? How do you deal with such situations?

Unfortunately, you are not the only one in this shoe but going down 100% would mean down to zero which I find that hard to believe but either way since you have resolved to wait which is the only option I see now, then there is no two ways about it. Aside that for buying 3 coins and everything going down signal to me that you are probably not buying more intelligently which is something that is common around now considering the pumps group manipulating the price to their advantages.
3209  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Idea is about: Kill the MiddleMan. Guess what? There are new ones: on: July 08, 2017, 03:05:59 PM
Bitcoins idea is not about killing the middle man but rather it is made to decentralized our financial resources. Decentralization means going away from banks which controls our money, interest and uses our money to earn income while not giving us the proper share. Bitcoin on the other hand enables us to monitor and have control over our asset and it is us who will enjoy the benefits or increase of value of our asset which is bitcoin. It is decentralized in a way that we make our own banks, we became our own banks. Middleman issue is very far from the main reason why bitcoin is made and thus we must not debate on it further.

I think I agree with you on this simply because the middle men we have now are not forced on us and at the same time we can choose to stay without them compared to the banks which you will be forced to open an account then they can control your money and you yourself but here, I can choose not to use exchange sites. I can choose not to use wallets in which nobody can stop me from doing. I think this is what Satoshi had in mind not to eradicate middlemen but rather wind down their influences.
3210  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Transaction fees on: July 08, 2017, 02:15:50 PM
Its just so annoying that it has gotten to this point just not too long ago I want to make some transfer and I have to part away with over $40 as fees if I want my transaction to confirm within the hour compared to less than 5$ which might even take forever, this is really annoying that I had to just shelve the idea and either way it will reduce the market capitalization considering the total number people who took the same decision as mine due to the high rate of fees we have to face these days and hopefully this can come to a logical conclusion from August 1 implementation.
3211  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bloody day trade on: July 08, 2017, 11:26:13 AM
Not everyday will be one to rejoice, just brace up and have it at the back of your mind that whatever happens to bitcoin whether positive or negative has a spiral effect on other coins as well. I don't see this as anything special as this will even pass. I don't bother holding more than what I can afford and if I make some margin profit, I quickly sell and prefer to hold in btc so when price falls the notification is fast for decision to be taken whether to keep holding on bolt.
3212  Economy / Lending / Re: Looking for a .6 mining rig startup loan on: July 08, 2017, 10:00:27 AM
I'm a new miner, about 3 weeks, and am currently mining with 2 r9 290s. I'm wanting to add to this either rx 470s or more 290s. Problem is I don't have any cash flow and the ethereum that I've collected so far is .29 ~ 75.00 usd. I'm hoping somebody out there would be willing to help get this going a bit faster.

I know this site goes on trust and of coarse being a new member I have 0 so I know this is a long shot. If not some advice on gaining trust would be appreciated.

If there is a willing participant I can promise 2 things
1. You will be updated when all items needed are ordered, received and assembled.
2. I will start mining to your wallet as soon as approved till the loan amount is paid off in full.

Unfortunately over here people don't only trust but they don't also have time for story, its very straight forward if you don't have collateral, don't come anywhere close to this section of the forum to ask for funds and in addition to your own case, a newbie with a brand new account asking for loans, how will that play out if you are on the otherside to give out the loan. I am sure you won't even think twice before ending such proposal.
3213  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Vatican police 'break up gay orgy' at home of one of Pope Francis' advisors on: July 08, 2017, 09:29:20 AM
This is an additional proof that religion is fake can't believe even the most senior Ministers of religion. As older children who see all this religion will die. In the first the death of Christianity because this religion is more common in the civilized world, and this means that Islam will attack and capture new territories.

You cannot even conclude like that just because the report is coming from the side of government considering that government forces has been having issues with the church in recent times. When this happen we all know government is quick to come out and release a statement in other to settle any form of protest that might come as a result of the action. I am not defending religion and the church because there have also been report of several abuses from that end but at the same time, not always is everything bad.
3214  Other / Off-topic / Re: Should I Go To College ??? on: July 08, 2017, 08:43:03 AM
Hi everyone,

What advice would you give a HS senior in US about to decide on and/or enter college ?

What other advise are you looking for again? You expect people here to tell you not to go to college even the ones that didn't go and still live comfortable will advise that you put your ass back in school not to talk of those who even went to med school, law school even the university. Go there and add to the knowledge you have and maybe one day you sit on Goldman Sachs board and make those decisions even for government.
3215  Economy / Economics / Re: Compare Bitcoin to Other Investment Instruments (Stocks, Real Estates, Etc.) on: July 08, 2017, 08:18:39 AM
In comparing the classes of what we have there against bitcoin, from my point of view others are assets while some are current because they can be easily converted into cash, the other real estate is a fixed asset and they are made to generate revenue. When it comes to bitcoin, it also shares the characteristics of a current asset but in this case more liquid than the others but aside from that, bitcoin is also used as a form of currency for exchange which clearly all others does not possess.

Hello! Thank you for considering my topic: Compare Bitcoin to Other Investment Instruments (Stocks, Real Estates, Etc.)

What do you think are the main difference/advantage/disadvantage of Bitcoin when you compare it to the most common investment instruments like Stocks, Bonds, Real Estates, etc.

Thank you!
3216  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Has anyone ever tried medicine to control impulsive gambling? on: July 07, 2017, 09:28:56 PM
For those into gambling have you ever tried to took some medicine just to control your impulsive gambling?

Like the Magic Bottle?  Cool
I guess this will be applicable to someone having difficulty controlling his/her gambling activity just like a friend of mine so much interested in lottery to the point that every number collection is a potential winning streak and attempt to try his chances based on that but still loses eventually. He is someone I think I will recommend this for to actually control this attitude.
3217  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do you set up limits for yourself? on: July 07, 2017, 08:48:31 PM
Hi guys!
We all know that gambling is not only a fun but also potential danger. So are you limiting yourself somehow when gambling? DO you use casino's instruments to prevent you spending more money?
Or do you just limit yourself by setting a certain amount of money to spend? Or you don't limit yourself at all?
Thanks for sharing!
Cheers,
Yours OshiHugo, Oshi.io CM

In my own case, the number of losses determine the limits I set for myself because at every attempt at gambling, a new limit is set whether to continue with what I have or I should bolt either decision is not made prior to going to gambling but the moment the money I put in the first place, nothing is making me add additional one that day, another day for another attempt.
3218  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] ChipMixer - mixing reinvented on: July 07, 2017, 05:24:19 PM
In case you missed it, ChipMixer.

If you are not satisfied with our service, please contact support in 48h (while your session is not yet deleted) and we can help you. Waiting few days then writing on forum while advertising bitmixer looks bit weird.

I have a question that probably a lot of users just starting to use chipmixer will probably share. What if the session is automatically destroyed after 48h and something happens, say the funds get stolen/private key doesn't work? Will support be able to help the user then?
 -snip-

@ChipMixer: What do you do if someone claims you have stolen Bitcoin from private key you have given. If it is a small amount, it may not have much impact because of the trust you have. But, what happens if it is a large amount? I hope you have already thought about it and have come up with a solution or is working on one! Good luck! By the way, I have sent you a PM! Please reply! Thanks!

This is very much a valid question that I feel should be answered because of the fact that some people might just intentionally want to create
unnecessary scenerio by heating the polity since they interprete that as a weakness and I think a disclaimer should be put to always ensure that you are responsible for whatever happens to your coins afterwards and be advised to transfer to a more secure wallet if need be to avoid all the drama that might likely follow in case such should happen.

Luckily, this is easy to bypass using just DNS other than ISP one. But we, bitcoiners, we want to use Bitcoin instead of fiat to gamble with.
This is good news for us, now polish gamblers will have to use other means to gamble online, and the best alternative is bitcoin, no doubt about that, anyone that is mildly informed about technology can devise a way to avoid those blocks, it seems governments don’t understand the day when they could control access to information are long gone but let them try.

What the government don't understand is that you can only stop an unwilling person the moment they stop people from playing outrightly, what they do is find alternative ways to make it happen and in this case, bitcoin comes handy where there are several sites that even what it being offered by their fiat counterparts even with much more anonymity. What they should have done is to make the environment difficult that its either going to be few gambling sites left or only few people while others stops willingly.
3220  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How do you follow daily crypto news? on: July 07, 2017, 10:20:31 AM
I'm curious to know how people follow the daily news. You got this forum, Reddit, Youtube, Medium, Slack etc...what works best for you?
The forum works for me more than anything because I just don't know the amount of websites I have to sign up with when they will continue to send news letters both relevant and the ones not relevant to my need but on the forum, I am sure a breaking news to be  posted and most times with the source which makes the search very easy in case I want to read more on it.
