Not impressed by the tag line: " The absolutely promising bitcoin chip in the market". Really? I can only hope no advertising buro was paid to come up with that slogan ![Shocked](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/shocked.gif) Specs look like a modest step forward. Pretty much leading the pack today, but probably not enough to compete with upcoming AM/BF/SP rigs, but much will depend on their time to market. Non native english speakers, I've already requested the picture be changed.

If sig campaigns are allowed, I don't see what's so particularly heinous about this. Targetting sig campaigns would also provide a better ROI, it's by far the worst type of corporate spam here.
I do see how it may become a problem if it becomes common. Though one would think that since a significant majority of their customers come from here they would ultimately want to do what's best for the forum, and not just short term profits, but that's greed for ya. I guess we'll find out.
The greater problem is that there isn't a concrete admin policy on the issue. One company was allowed and it appears that the policy is that anyone can do it. But if another company does exactly the same thing but on a larger scale, can we guarantee there would be no admin intervention?

Hello guys . special greetings to Mr. dogie firstly, I would like to thank you for your great installing guide which helped me a lot to install my c1 miner . secondly , I realy want your assisstance to make my miner mine . I'm very new to mining so please have patience guys if you see any silly questions ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) . my c1 miner is 2nd batch with cooling kit . I'm useing 2 cooler master psu's ( 620 watts & 725 watts , 85% efficiency ) to power the miner . I connected 4 pci's to the miner ( 2 from 620 +2 from 725 in one line ) . the cooling system is working fine . but the miner is not mining . I connected the miner directly to my labtop using ethernet cable following your guide . the first thing I've noticed is that If my labtop is connected to the miner with a cable , it can not connect to the internet using wifi . I logged to the setting page on 192.168.1.99 to change the worker name to my username.1, then change network settings to dhcb . then I connected the miner to the internet cable but it doesn't mine . I note that when I turn on the miner it lights red around 1 minute . I have no idea how to find the miner page after changing the ip adress to dhcb, but I can fing what ip is assigned to my labtop if I connect it to the intenet cable . Look for the device in your router, it will be waiting there. You probably set the pool settings wrong, will need a screenshot.

"Hash Rate: 2,000GH/s guaranteed" - hm, wondering how Bitmain fulfills this "guarantee" if the miners show a lower hashrate?
I can tell you from experience it's not guaranteed. If you're using it on a pool or coin that does frequent work restarts, like p2pool, you won't get 2,000 GH/s. Just like the S2, it does not like regular work restarts. M Hm, my average is 1.8863636364 TH/s over two weeks. Tried on several pools. So it is 0.1136363636 below guaranteed hashrate. With 6 S4, this means that I loose about 20 TH/s per month. So if there would be a guarantee, they should reimburse me for this :-) Can you post a status screenshot?

We are hopping for less Power Consumption and less price.
Now i cross my finger that S4 will be low to 500 USD to buy in bulk.
That's not going to happen any time soon....

Well, 1.2BTC/TH(S5) vs. 1.0BTC/TH (Prisma 2.0) so, many people may care... And for others that 350W and lower noise will be important the other way. Different miners for different people's needs.

Hello all,
Bitmain has employed me to help liaise with the community and later provide technical support. They have done this in order to help provide:
1) timely technical support 2) provide better feedback (if I don't know, I can find out from the people within Bitmain who will) 3) provide product and sales input from you guys directly into the company. If something is going wrong, YOU can fix it 4) provide native English press releases - less ManderEnglish, more sense.
This is a paid position, however it will in no way affect my independence or freedom in being critical towards Bitmain outside of this thread. My contract specifically stipulates:Dogie will speak on behalf of BITMAIN and will not criticize BITMAIN in these threads. Dogie still reserves the right to criticize BITMAIN in his other threads. Both parties acknowledge that this relationship has no impact whatsoever on BITMAIN’s rating or standing in “Dogie’s ‘Manufacturer Trustworthiness” thread.
This means I won't sit here and reply to every post saying Bitmain is a scam, don't buy from Bitmain etc etc, in this thread. It does NOT prohibit me from saying that in my own threads, if that is what I believe. It also has absolutely no impact on their rating in the Manufacturer trustworthiness thread [in which Bitmain just went down 10 points].Dogie support for this product has expired.

- Using a browser, navigate to your router and find the IP it has assigned the S5 and navigate to that IP.
- Login using "root" as both the username and password.
- Navigate to the page Status -> Miner Configuration. Enter your pool information in the below format.
- Select "Beeper ringing" to "false" and click "Save & Apply".
- Navigate to the page "Miner Status" to check mining has started.
FAQProblem | Solution | "x".in.a.row.on.miner.configuration.page | - There is a faulty chip - nothing we can do. Hash rate will be affected by ~1.5%. | Almost all "x" on one row of "Chips" | - A hashing board may be mispowered or faulty. Try power cycling the miner and recheck your cabling and PSU. | How do I change the login password? | - Navigate to System -> Administration. Enter the current password and the new one twice. | What is the SSH login? | - Username is "root", password is "admin". | Can I turn the beeping off when the miner stops mining? | - No, but you can reduce how often it beeps. Navigate to Miner configuration and turn "Beeper Ringing" to false. | I can connect to the AntMiner but its not hashing? | - Set the protocol to DHCP via Navigate to Network -> Interfaces -> WAN -> Edit. If you don't want to use DHCP, navigate to Network -> Settings and make sure "Gateway" is set to the IP of your router. | What temperatures should I aim for? | - Try and achieve <50 for best hash rates, and <60 for long lifetimes. Temperatures should not be let to rise above 80C. | Where can I get the latest firmware? | - Download from Bitmain's site. | How can I tell what firmware version I have now? | - Navigate to System -> Overview and look at "File System Version". | How do I install the latest firmware? | - Download firmware as above. Navigate to System -> Upgrade and click "browse". Select the downloaded file and click "Flash image". Do NOT interrupt this process or you will brick the unit. | How do I reset settings to default? | - Use a paperclip to press the reset button - located next to the ethernet connector - down for 5-10 seconds. The miner will then reset with stock settings. | My.power.supply's.cables.are.braided.or.aren't.color.coded | - See below diagram for pin-outs.

Check you've followed through the setup steps in my sig for the New R-Box although I expect your multiminer is running an old version of cgminer. Stock speed is 100GH.

Does the S2 lifetime warranty? Could you confirm this? ...We have already contacted Bitmain and they state that item is under lifetime warranty and boards may be returned for repair or replacement for free. We would like to sell item instead of going to taking the time to return. ...https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=870784.0Checking, might be a while as quite a few staff heading to the St Peters' conference. Hi dogie, are there any news?.. Its a 90 day warranty, maybe I had replied to someone's PM asking.

Anyone know where to get and what the correct terms are for the water cooling connectors from the C1 to the tubing? I need to get ones that are 90 degrees curved. Is G1/4 90 degree barb correct and what about the 1/2 or 3/8?
The thread is called G1/4, that's the bit the fitting screws into. On the other end, the tubing needs 8mm ID, 10mm OD.

Does anyone know what to do when the PSU is just flashing red? its been running fine for days then is now doing that and is off? Can this be reset?
If its the same after powering on and off, and you're sure the circuit is good then it sounds like you need to RMA the PSU. Thats unfortunate , Any idea of how long the process is? Depends where you're located, if you're in the US you can contact BitmainWarranty for a really quick turnaround.

Again chipped chip, on the other diagonal than the mounting diagonal. Is it hasing at full speed?
Damn build quality! solid caps like EVGA...
I took that one off as the heatsink was already shifting around a bit, good spot on the damage I hadn't seen it. Looking at the ASIC stats thats also the chip reporting perma overheating, so the answer is probably not. The reseating is straight forward due to the type of screw arrangement (sets height and torque) so it may be due to that damage. Its still hashing but is forced by the software to run slow. Hasn't made a different to the overall hash rate as there's plenty of headroom though.

Dogie's Miner Setup Guides:Nicely formatted version available at dogiecoin.com!![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FptViCVd.png&t=663&c=0f4x5AQMqIb8hQ) Contents: 0a) What to Expect0b) What You Need1) Powering2) Cooling3) Case4) Configuration5) Troubleshooting 0a) What to Expect (top)SpondooliesTech's SP35 brings a number of improvements to the already exceptional high density hashing power of the SP35. It utilises 30 of their revised 28nm RockerBox ASICs to increase hashrate up to 5500GH. The same internal layout and case is used in combination with two improved 1600W power supplies. Mounting brackets and two C13-C14 cables are included for those running PDUs and a custom controller is included internally. Chips | 30x 28nm SpondooliesTech RockerBox | Hashrate | ~5500GH | Rated Voltage | 12V | Rated Current | 270A | Power.Consumption | ~3600W | ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Ffarm8.staticflickr.com%2F7550%2F15883566637_4980949a2a.jpg&t=663&c=0kO3mmwczSoPTA) 0b) What You Need (top)You will need a few accessories to get started (if you are not using a C13 PDU). Click your flag to find everything you need to get started at Amazon! ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2F8Y0bFol.png&t=663&c=jaNs1A80s3WX5A) 1) Powering (top)SP35s come with 2x Artesyn DS1600SPE-3 server PSUs. This means you can NOT replace them with a conventional PSU should they fail. Both come in a 1U formfactor, are rated for 1600W and are 92%+ efficient. SP35s are not suitable for use at less than 210V and have C14 inputs. 2) Cooling (top)Four 80mm fans are used in a negative pressure tunnel arrangement in order to exhaust hot air and replace it with cool, fresh air in one sweep. The topside of the chips are cooled by custom aluminium finned heatsinks, individually fastened through the PCBs. Noise levels at ~4.2TH or lower are exceptional for the size of the machine and the hash rate density employed. The units fans are acceptably loud up to about 60% before they become troublesome for home use. Above 4.2TH, the PSUs' fans begin to ramp up to their maximum RPM more and more often, which creates noise far exceeding that of the unit itself. Additionally, the noise is very high pitched and pierces walls and floors due to the small size of the 40mm fans. Its a testament to the quality of the design that when using the unit at these reduced speeds that it is quieter and significantly less annoying than an under-clocked SP20 and is virtually inaudible next to an AntMiner S4. 3) Case (top)The SP35's case is 2U thick (88.9mm) and is designed to be rack-mountable in a 19" wide rack (482.6mm), or stacked. Mounting ears are included and come screwed in from the factory. The design time spent on the case gives it a unique feeling in the industry, as if the first version was made 10 years ago and revised over time. The shipped weight of a SP35 is 19.8kg and dimensions of the shipping box are 730 x 565 x 165mm. An unpacked SP35 weights 15.8kg and dimensions of the case are 560 x 440 x 90mm. Wiring: - Plug in an ethernet cable from the SP35 to your router.
- Plug in two power cables from the mains to your PSUs. The unit will auto turn on.
Configuration: - Using a browser, navigate to http://start.spondoolies-tech.com/ and click "Go to miner".
- Login using "admin" as the username and password.
- Navigate to "Pools", enter miner information in the below format click save.
- Navigate to "Settings" and change clock mode as desired. Use basic voltage settings unless you know what you are doing.

I gotta say this is a tad uncalled for... FC has communicated more than ever (well except for the funding and early gen 1 period) over the last weeks or so. The 1/10 points at communication deserve at least something better ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) Have a look through any of the product threads. Its been the same thing repeated for months and months, bad communication, customer support, technical support and impossible to get hold of anyone. It goes on for pages and pages and pages and pages across all the threads.

ho-hum. i see much butt-hurt across the Meta threads regarding some SP-Tech reviews posted in Hardware. this proposal would fix such butt-hurt ![Grin](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/grin.gif) Says the guy with the christmas tree of all christmas tree affiliate link sigs for said company ![Roll Eyes](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/rolleyes.gif) Forgive me for earning a living. You were specifically complaining that people were being biased because it was SPTech related meta, and so I pointed out that if anyone was going to be biased for / against SPTech it would be the guy with the giant affiliate link of the company in his sig.

Uh, wow. Yeah, I would not trust that board to keep operating in the machine and not sustain/cause further damage.
Is that a CoinCraft Rig? It look very different from my CoinCraft Desk units.
Its both similar and very different at the same time :s ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Ffarm4.staticflickr.com%2F3840%2F14713715352_718f79a24e.jpg&t=663&c=kCly28b5Gjitnw)
