Was there also a April Fools coin back then in CMC or it was the same as this, I can't quite remember. Welp anyways, I got used to Bitcoin being in the number one. This is to ask on how many emotionally strained traders just sold their altcoins thinking that this is a real and legit coin in the market.

Not really caring about that Defi Project you mentioned in the OP, still Bitcoin handled it all for me. Though in reality I don't really depend on crypto that much as my remote job outside crypto still becomes the main source of income for me, and earnings from investing BTCs is just the side of the dish.

How did you start trading in bitcoin? How could I do that too? Do you have any tips for begginers? -
Learned the basic in a simple Youtube video. Tried to follow along but still ended up in a loss because price is so unstable that I let of with my emotions. How to do it too? Watch videos, don't buy courses first. If there's anything I could've done more, it would be reading books about trading. Tips for beginners? Don't let the emotion get into you. It's the most overlooked by many newbies.

Not sure if there's any open source in Github but you could check it out in there if you have the time. I believe there would be many open-source project there you could contribute. To make an Android Application? Correct me if I am wrong but mostly you'll need to learn programming languages like Java when you use Android SDK. You could use programming languages like C in Native Dev kits. By the way, it isn't just the languages you should need to learn. You would often hear/read OOP , functional programming, procedural, etc. Those are some paradigms of programming and you'll need to learn how do they differ as well because some languages like Java which is an OOP language differ on how you write codes. Class-based? Functional-based? It depends. Otherwise, just hire a developer but from how you write, it seems like you have some knowledge about forking projects mostly by codings.

Well you can't blame people from what you asked, some have the lazy mindset of "meh it will have price correction, better invest later than now." I had read a thread in here before wherein they said that "First best time to invest was 10 years ago and second time is now". Quite the enthusiasm actually. I hope that many people still have that kind of mindset these days.

I thought this would be like a casual discussion on chances on getting profit to these bullish runs of Bitcoin but turns out OP seems to promote the coin ENTRY. Dunno how the project goes now, but people claims that it isn't progressing.

It's kinda sad that there are many newbies focusing on ranking up for surely joining bounties. Wish it was like one of those days in an ordinary forum where users don't mind their ranks like Tech Forums I once stayed back in the days.

You'll never get a merit or two if you consistently just do bounty reports.
|
|
|
I see a lot of them, especially on my board. Why do they have 1000 merits? I guess that once the merit system was introduced, lots of users' merit score was set to 1000 by default, I just don't get why. Probably, because they had already a high rank and it would not be good if they suddenly get lower? Theymos mentioned it in here: ~
Trivia:
For current members, your initial merit score is equal to the minimum required to your rank. Of that, a certain amount (less than the usual half) is spendable. The spendable amount was calculated based on your current rank and the number of activity points you earned in the last year. A Legendary member who hasn't posted in the last year would still be Legendary, but would not have any spendable merit.
~
If I can recall correctly, Jr Members before required 0 merit but then it was updated to be at least 1 merit causing a lot of existing JR Members with no merits to be demoted to Newbie. Edit 1: Sweet! All crystal clear now for me on what happened.

Buying Bitcoin is like planting trees. The best time to do it is 10 years ago. The second best time is today.
Any investment applies to this even in the stock market. You're literally waiting for it to grow. There ain't really best time. Just you, your time, and your need for money that affects that to happen. I somehow like this optimism that it isn't "too late" to invest though.

Already happened, OP. Though in Bitcoin we're currently experiencing plenty of correction lately. It's been around 33k to 38k from my past readings. In its price, I am currently eyeing on 50k as another ATH of it. Some alts will surely follow along in that % of increase.

Well sometimes mistakes are inevitable anyway. In cases that your edit made it worse and you forgot your previous post, you could still look up your original post before it was edited through this thread made by LoyceV - 53M posts! View unedited/deleted posts (search per post, per user or per topic). ~
~ I'm not exactly sure what the real point of this thread is, because the edit button isn't exactly a hidden function that most members have trouble finding, but whatever. ~ Same actually. I think this would fit better to "Beginners & Help" since many non-newbies most likely already used or seen at the least the "Edit" button.

Have you reported these kind of team? What's their reasoning of not giving you the appropriate and deserving reward? I know that there are many bounty scams, but are you sure that they didn't really set a time to distribute the tokens/coins? Bounty hunting in this forum shouldn't be taken like full-time anyway, since these kinds of issues happen a lot, judging from the complaints in threads I managed to stumble upon quite often.

Why people are so much eager on a small hype from a single man does popularity makes big impacts on the market? Why people are not following the trend and strategy of Market? What's your opinion guys.
Expect even the tiniest bit of hype to be taken as an opportunity by a lot of people as this pandemic hit their finances really hard. Even in the side of altcoins, they would be willing to earn something from coins that were built from hypes only but in reality it just turned out to be a shitcoin.

Me? Not really though that's a part of it but that ain't the whole reason why am I here in crypto. There would be people like me that would be in here, not directly in the forum, but in crypto space due to how convenient it helped me do a simple transaction. Here in the Philippines, tollway payments are now starting to be cashless through sticker scan like rfid and me at home would pay my bills through cryptocurrency with the use of 3rd party apps like Coins.ph, since merchants here aren't accepting direct Bitcoin/crypto payments just yet.

In simple economics, it is surely about the demand that's all. Add up that Bitcoin is unstable by itself so that could contribute to any increase/decrease we're having. The things that made the "demand" complex were the hypes, regulations, mainstream, mentioned through different medias, etc.

Why ask something that is easily googled, OP? For the top 5 coins, check CMC as well. Top 5 for some people is quite subjective but the statistics would say a lot from crypto coins database sites. Shouldn't be that hard to search.

Not sure how would the title and the content would connect but if we're really talking about importance, you cannot say because Bitcoin aims different than these other coins you mentioned. You could either say all of them are important or all of them are useless or with no value. They can all be investment for some side profit. It's just the preference and strategy that diverse the investors.
|
|
|
It's money. People wanted to earn especially during these times. If it isn't pandemic, you would receive half of those reactions probably. Not surprised that many will go back to their usual jobs after this pandemic and forget about crypto again.
|
|
|
~ If I was still day trading these days, I would do Ethereum mostly in alt's side since it's the second I consider the most aside from Bitcoin. Not sure for the other coins now these days though but Bitcoin's going crazy so I'll stick with it for now in long-term hodling.
