3401  Other / Meta / Re: Do Banned users stand a chance of been reconsidered or been appealed for on: April 20, 2021, 04:18:10 PM
As far as I know, banned users are handled in a case-to-case basis as they are reviewed thoroughly. Last 2019, one valuable asset of the community got banned due to plagiarism but several users in the forum appealed in order to lift his ban. The reason on why it got lifted is because he constantly reports and detects fake projects and scam ICOs in the forum.

Bottomline is, if you are a newbie and you got banned for not following the forum rules, chances are that you will not be able to get your account back. On the other hand, if you can prove that you contributed positively in the forum, there is a slight chance that your ban will get lifted or a temporary suspension will be rendered instead.
3402  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is the best Sport to bet on ? on: April 20, 2021, 04:00:16 PM
This question is rather a subjective one as it depends upon the interest of the person betting. To be honest, if I do not know anything about the sport, I would not risk my money into betting a team which is considered 'dominant' without knowing any of its fundamentals.

Personally, I used to bet in the NBA as I consider myself as an avid fan and watcher. With that information, it was easier for me to keep track of the games, data, and the latest news regarding each team (i.e. internal matters on the team, injuries, rookie prospects, etc.).

Again just to reiterate, the answer will primarily depend upon the interest of a person regarding a sport.

Hi, upon checking the team member's page, I noticed that the team members are covered with anonymous photos without any of their referrals and links. I highly suggest that you provide all the necessary details in order to verify the identities of the team members, thanks!

~~~
I never mentioned that the Ponzi scheme doesn't pay out money to early investors. Because this is exactly what makes the Ponzi scheme distinctive, when money is paid to early investors at the expense of those who joined later. "A Ponzi scheme also a Ponzi game is a form of fraud that lures investors and pays profits to earlier investors with funds from more recent investors" - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ponzi_scheme But in the end, any Ponzi scheme is a scam because it eventually stops paying out money.
but when you and everyone else know it is a ponzi, it becomes a game, that is what this board is about. then, is it really fraud? why is the admin of this forum add this board if it is just for fraud? wouldn't that be illegal?
my point is, anyone who plays is obviously aware of what the project is as it is posted in the investor game board. i do not know why there are members like you who treat us players like we are the scammers. i feel like a criminal for posting here.
Like what most have mentioned, investing into a ponzi-scheme is not a game. It is a project promising to offer ridiculous returns in a short amount of time which has been the same trend ever since the inception and creation of bitcoin. Most people that have invested into ponzi-schemes in the past (including me) fell short as we have been scammed due to them exiting after they gain large amounts of capital.
Again, this board is for "investor-based GAMES." Even if you try to argue about the purpose of this board, you cannot escape the fact that what has been posted is a ponzi-scheme which is a scam.
3407  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: XRP set to dethrone Bitcoin on: April 11, 2021, 05:31:03 PM
Following the current trend of XRP, irrespective of SEC bombardments against her, XRP still holds it ground in crypto arena. Imagine XRP wining the suit against SEC then XRP dethroning Bitcoin in the nearest future will be inevitable. Just saying!!!
I doubt that this will happen in the near future but there is always that possibility.
Remember, what drives the value of bitcoin is the amount of people willing to pay for it. In addition, the price discrepancy between XRP and BTC is so significant that both internal and external factors must be present in order to dethrone BTC as the reigning cryptocurrency. In addition, ETH can also replace BTC depending on the circumstances.
Lol, are you joking right? I know XRP is doing well right now because of its victory over the SEC in court, but it doesn't mean it he can dethrone bitcoin. Just look at the marketcap, it will be mission impossible for XRP to dethrone BTC.
This actually sums up everything about this post. Concluding something just because a favorable circumstance happened does not ipso facto absolutely guarantee that XRP will dethrone BTC anytime soon.
Apologies if I have offended you with my reply but please understand that I do not mean any harm.
It's just that there are lots of newbies fall into the trap of investing into ponzi-schemes without doing any research since they are attracted to the high-returns offered by these projects. I also want to point out that you also did your research before delving further into this project, which is the right thing to do.
Again, I apologize for my reply if it caused any negative implication but I only meant good for your safety.
3409  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you had 4,000.00 USD, what would you invest in? on: April 11, 2021, 01:59:48 PM
If I had $4,000, I would invest $3,000 to BTC and the remaining $1,000 for stocks just to diversify my investment portfolio.
Generally, the amount allocated to BTC would fall either for short/long-term depending on its increase on its value. While in stocks, I would definitely invest the for long-term by acquiring stocks of blue chip companies/businesses.
I would probably go all in bitcoin because I believe that by the end of the year, I am sure that the bitcoin price is going to get higher and I don:t want to be FOMOing about it, ride the hype train before its too late, am I right?
Bitcoin surely is a good investment but financial investment experts discourage the investing in just one line. As we have bitcoin, there are also good altccoins to invest in at sameeyime. So diversifying is good in our financial investment because you can't be too sure of life likewise your investment so that when one isn't producing profit, you can turn around for the other profit that will help you. I have seen at times there some altccoins that pump very fast while bitcoin doesn't and at such time, you can go with the profit from the altccoin.
Basing it primarily on its price history, bitcoin would be the safe bet among the other cryptocurrencies. Its value remains to be at the top and its potential of doubling or tripling its value in a few years can definitely happen.
3410  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You won today, but then you will lose often on: April 11, 2021, 09:16:50 AM
actually this is true. when i notice that i have that kind of desire, i stop and close the gambling site. because if you really do follow your desire to gamble, you will not stop unless you have no more bankroll. and if you badly need the money, dont gamble it. separate the money that you can use for your gambling and only use that amount. dont be tempted to use your money for your basic needs, because it will end up badly.
While we are aware that this phenomenon exist, it is highly advisable to gamble using the money you allotted for it. This may be easier said than done especially in today's circumstances and online setting but if you are given the opportunity to bet in a physical casino, do not bring your credit card; just bring a handful amount of cash.
I remember back in the days, I used to accompany my brother and he forewarned me to stop him at all cost after one bet. In the same night, he managed to deplete his monthly savings and he went home blaming me for not stopping him (I really stopped him!).
3411  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: [SCAM] Recog.global - Ponzi scheme on: April 11, 2021, 08:11:51 AM
Lightning quick as always, tvplus006!
I went to their thread and saw that there was a person interested in investing into the project. I warned him, saying that almost all ponzi-schemes are scams due to their system which do not work in either short or long-term. I remember, I also invested into a well-known ponzi, known as USI-TECH, and I even attended a conference here in our country.
Sadly, all of my BTCs (redeemed as packages) were stolen after 2-3 months as their website crashed. I supported the flag and keep up the good work!
3412  Economy / Investor-based games / Re: Paying: Recog.Global - 161.8% ROI in 20 days, daily payments, 6.18% affiliate on: April 10, 2021, 09:24:46 PM
I am interested. I see it's a classic game, but not ordinary. So I will do some more research and come back to ask questions. Tongue
No need to do any research on this project as it is purely a ponzi-scheme where it offers absurdly high amounts of interest rates in a short amount of time.
While I cannot force you to stop, let me just remind you that almost all ponzi-schemes attempts to lure customers with those 'high interests' and most projects run away with your money. Better to avoid dealing with this service than to lose your money in the future. The reason on why these projects cannot be trusted is because their system simply does not work for short and long-term.
Again, better to avoid than to lose your money in the process.
3413  Economy / Economics / Re: The One World Currency: Is it Bitcoin? on: April 10, 2021, 09:18:55 PM
What do you think? Is Bitcoin the "One World Currency"? Or will another currency take its place in the future? If that happens, which currency do you think will become the "One World Currency"? Will it be the US Dollar, the Euro, or the Chinese Yuan? Do you think governments will unanimously agree to use a single currency for everything? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Smiley
I do believe that it definitely has the chance especially given its technology where it puts the people free from any control from any third-party consensus.
I remember, I previously mentioned that if bitcoin will not be the 'main' currency in the future, I am confident that such currency would definitely be similar to bitcoin that also uses the blockchain technology. The blockchain technology cannot be simply be brushed away as its innovation and complexity introduced a modern way of transactions.
making a quality post
<snip..>
A quality posts is usually subjective, in most cases. There are some quality posts out there but rarely get merits. What you need to bear in mind is to avoid posting replies/comments on mega threads as they are usually overlooked.
Newbies are banned every month
 when I registered I started reading comments discussion and I found out that why people are ban especially newbies is because of copying already made articles online in place of their work. so through numerous reading it have  to come  to my skull that copying works online with prove of evidence like link that is connected to the work will not lead to ban , I have seen several posts with link.
Majority of the newbies that are banned every month are either fake accounts who share suspicious links or accounts that post spams and scams on various threads. Unfortunately, most of the newbie accounts are created primarily because of that purpose, in which, users abandon them after they post fake projects.
I highly suggest that before you delve into the forum, read the pinned posts at least on every board in order to understand the do's and dont's to avoid getting banned.
3415  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: You won today, but then you will lose often on: April 10, 2021, 02:01:11 PM
Like what I previously mentioned, I have this theory called the 'gambler's cycle' where a gambler, regardless of the outcome of his bet, will most probably continue to gamble until he/she has depleted his resources.
The tendency is that if you won a single game in gambling, most likely, is that you would bet again due to the feeling of adrenaline and hope. Also, if you lost in a round of gambling, you would feel this tension of recovering your losses via gambling again; thus resulting to a never-ending cycle of betting.
3416  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: 2.3 bitcoins were stolen from me! on: April 09, 2021, 06:58:28 PM
As most have mentioned, all transactions in the crypto space are irreversible. I am very to sorry to hear for your loss but what you just posted raise some serious doubts as to the legitimacy of it.
As mk4 mentioned, the video was posted two (2) years ago. Why raise this issue now instead of posting it on the time you lost your bitcoins? In addition, I find it a weak attempt for you to post your BTC address expecting anyone to donate 2.3 BTCs which are worth thousands of dollars nowadays.
3417  Economy / Economics / Re: Do you believe history repeat itself? Economic wise. on: April 09, 2021, 06:17:37 PM
For every bad beat in the economy, politics will always have a role to play. I'm not even surprised anymore that we're experiencing this again.
I am also from the Philippines and we really cannot blame the people on why most of them go out despite the rising cases of people getting infected with the virus. The system of the government failed miserably as they cannot provide families of the means to survive this pandemic. With that in mind, these people do not have the choice but to work. If they do not work, then they won't be able to provide any food for their family.
This pandemic has definitely challenged and proved on how the government of each country operates. You would definitely see the corruption happening blatantly.
3418  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are There Drug Options for Gamblers' Disorderlyness? on: April 09, 2021, 12:45:00 PM
I had heard many of my friends who are into gambling complain to me about gambling disorder but couldn’t understand what that means until recently when a close associate got into the same mess and need help, but I was helpless because I couldn’t give the right answers to his question. This friend is almost turning into something else and needs help.
Are There Drug Options for Gamblers' Disorderliness?
Man, I am very sorry to hear that your friend is experiencing this situation. Unfortunately, there are no drugs that work against addiction in its general sense. The most effective method that I can suggest is to seek professional help in order your friend may deviate his attention from gambling.
I have a few friends who gamble and I personally witnessed them hit rock bottom on their finances. What made them change their ways was their will to change themselves because it affected their family as well. The first step in addressing this issue must come from their personal realization because if they continue thinking that what they are doing is correct, they will never stop gambling.
I really hope that your friend gets through this difficult ordeal; but not all hope is lost!
3419  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: I hope I'm welcome here... I'm Newbie on: April 09, 2021, 05:25:18 AM
Like what most have mentioned already, anyone is welcome here in the bitcointalk forum! Remember that you should read the pinned posts in various threads before you post in order to avoid any conflict in the future.
Do not also forget that before anyone knew about the whole crypto space, everyone also started as a newbie you feel free to browse through the threads if you have any questions. Do not forget also to utilize the search bar located at the top-right corner if you have any queries as lots of basic/fundamental questions have been answered already.
3420  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: If crypto is banned in my country on: April 08, 2021, 10:40:42 PM
If in future, crypto is completely banned in my country and holding, trading mining become illegal, can I go to some foreign country on the pretext of doing some job and sell my crypto once I landed in foreign land and come back in my country with all the money?
Your best bet would be to sell your BTCs p2p or to sell them personally by meeting up with people. As dangerous as it sounds, that would only be your remedy in order to bypass this prohibition imposed by the government.
If you attempt to bring back your BTCs from another country, store them in an exchange but never deposit them into a bank. I have a friend of mine that exchange large amounts of BTCs to the bank and the latter froze his account due to alleged anomalies regarding this huge transactions. This is also considering that BTCs in our country are NOT prohibited.
