3521  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: PumpMyCoin.com phishing? on: May 05, 2017, 06:04:21 PM

Hello,

Don't be suspicious, cause we got nothing to do with your issue.

However i recommend you to enable more security options on your exchanges such as 2FA. to avoid similar issues in the future.

Good to know and also well-done for being online to quickly debunk this because if it festered for more days, I wouldn't want to imagine the amount of damage it might do to you project as you will see people who haven't visited the site before will come to attack and by so doing discourage innocent guys that might want to take a look at what's going on around there.
3522  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitstarz- anyone ever cashed out bigtime? Like 1 btc or more? on: May 04, 2017, 09:33:21 PM
Was just curious if anyone has ever cashed out a big amount of btc here at bitstarz... I've never been able to land a 1 btc or higher cashable win because of free spins and i know they have cashed out for me at .3 btc before. If i need customer support i usually get a response from chris or mike and they recently added a new rep named james... I've never had a bad experience other then losing streaks on slots but that's because i always aim for a higher win and never use self discipline xD. My favorite slots are great88 and tipsy tourest. I was just kinda curious if anyone has ever cashed out after meeting requirements over 1btc and what slots they recommend? I know that they say too do multiple cashout requests if over 5btc and they pay out installments of 40 btc if you go above 40 btc in there terms but was just curious if anyone has gotten that far? If im in the wrong section sorry feel free to move me... I just saw gambling so i guessed it was the right thread..

The jackpot is not easy to get because if it does, then the site will run out of business and for the fact that you have not earn it or don't know someone who has does not mean a winner does not exist as there might be several users of the sites who are outside the forum. I remembered the same thing happened about freebitco.in where doubt were being cast on their fuacet and jackpot until someone showed his own winnings. If you are comfortable with the site, then keep on playing luck may have you in mind one day.
3523  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is it safe to generate own bitcoin address at bitcoinvanitygen.com? on: May 04, 2017, 08:19:26 PM
Hi i would like to ask if it is safe to generate a custom bitcoin address in bitcoinvanitygen.com?
I am planning to use it as my receiving  bitcoins purposes only.
But if this is safe i would like to use it in business purposes in the future..
To the  best of my knowledge, there are several online wallet sites which are available and even several are available on reputable exchange sites and they have equally stand the test of time. I am not saying the site is not trustworthy or not because I haven't use them but there are several to pick from and have rest of mind to a large extent.
3524  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: POLONIEX conspicuously appears to engage in "Insider Trading" on: May 01, 2017, 08:47:19 PM
Based on the analysis you have there, it can equally be regarded as insider trading on the other hand, looking at it deeply its really not insider trading and the reason because the announcement as you rightly stated is not made to anybody outside poloniex and to the best of my decision if you are an outsider to poloniex then there is no way they can reach you since they wont have nay details of how to contact you and more so such decision won't have any relevance to me even if I am notified since I don't have any business with poloniex. But if the information is now limited to some people, without giving adequate time to others to make their decisions then its nothing short of insider trading.
3525  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: BTC dominance decreasing. on: May 01, 2017, 06:59:15 PM
A couple of months back (March), I remember seeing bitcoin dominance about 85% when It comes to the market capitalization. Its currently 59.2% and probably will continue to decrease in the next a few days. Is this something to be worried about?

Source: https://coinmarketcap.com/charts/#btc-percentage

The dominance and non dominance of bitcoin in the cryptospace is not a costant thing that have to always maintain a particular spot in the market. Its a currency in the pool of currencies which means its position at any point in time will be determined based on the forces of demand and supply which means if can increase in a particular month and decrease the following month so there is no cause for alarm in my own opinion. It might bounce back again and you will be surprised.
3526  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Scam Alert The Billion Coin - Ponzi Scheme on: May 01, 2017, 06:35:32 PM
If there is any other coin that I have heard being pronounced even outside the bitcoin forum aside bitcoin is this billion coin that have no basis whatsoever neither is there any team that developed it for it to have a backing. The most annoying part is the fact that no increase in its acceptance neither is there any news being relaeasd into the crypto space yet the price just keeps on increasing at a rate that is even beyond those that have a basis. In all, the promoters of this scam have really perfected their game.
3527  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: What is the main appeal of online wallets and why do people use them? on: May 01, 2017, 04:43:33 PM
To me, it seems like offline wallets are way more secure.

The simple truth of the matter is that the ease of use like someone else has said and not really not about safety as even in the past attacks have even been more on exchanges compared to wallets which have equally improve in their security over the years and they have been good at keeping our funds safe at least up till today.
3528  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone else HAVE most or maybe ALL of their money in btc/crypto? on: May 01, 2017, 12:24:39 PM
Or is it just me lol?

Can't complain thesedays, fat stacks just getting fatter  Grin

Lol, but you are not the only one involved in this as I am happy I didn't sell earlier that what is being witnessed these days, it would have been the worst financial decisions I would have made till date but I am here sharing this testimony with you. We are aiming higher and higher.
3529  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What is happening currently with cryptocurrencies on: April 30, 2017, 07:50:29 PM

That is actually a really accurate, cryptocurrencies have became so popular that pretty much every single coin has some volume. People are just investing blindly in some xxx coins, without taking any look at their specifics, team standing behind it or technical solutions.

It seems pretty funny for me, because you need to spend the money to buy any coin, even the cheapest one. It means that a big part of people are willing to invest their hardly-earned money just for some hope, that they will get into such a big rise as we have seen on bitcoin. People in this world (the crypto one) are way too greedy, this is why so many shit alts are being created. Because people are just willing to invest in them no matter what, so basically every single shit/scam/dead coin gets at least some of the marketshare. But still, BTC will remain on top of the whole hierarchy.

The reason for such is simply to the best of my understanding is because most of those details are too technical for lay understanding and they the writers forgets that its not everyone that understands all this and won't even bother. So the moment one or two people recommend the project and the developers have a lot of money to do advert and you see this advert everywhere you turn to on social media, people just believe its the next big thing to happen until its too late to turn back.
3530  Economy / Services / Re: [WTB] Sig spot on: April 30, 2017, 06:46:08 PM
If you take your time to study the forum very well you will see that you won't even need to do a lot of screening before arriving at a position. A moderator is also offering the same service and I am sure if you make him a good offer, I am sure he will accepts so far you meet his conditions https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1769132.msg18808480#msg18808480 that's only for avatar though and its long term.
3531  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][QAU] QUANTUM PROJECT - Connecting markets on: April 30, 2017, 06:37:46 PM
I think its just time we move on from just trying to ask same questions and some people start responding without actually making progress about the project. The era of the whether its scam or escrow should be over as this has even entered page 17. We need to start asking relevant questions and start ignoring the trolls especially those who are either just interested in negative reports without proofs or even those who just wants their post counts to increase.
3532  Economy / Services / Re: Looking for someone to post a thread on: April 30, 2017, 05:40:33 PM
Looking for someone with an active and high tier bitcointalk account who can post a thread for me. I can reward them with some great stuff if you get in contact with me via PM.

As a full member rank, I don't think you really should still be bothered about some higher rank to post a thread for you where you will still even be the person to provide the necessary details and even answers to questions that will be asked on that same thread unless you will have to pay him extra and equally let him in fully on your ideas if he will be able to provide the necessary answers. I suggest if you are sure of what you are offering, post the thread, then give a vouch copy to a reputable member and you are very much good to go. That's all.
3533  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is destroying Bitcoin? on: April 29, 2017, 05:39:56 PM
Whether someone is destroying or the other is defending even if some other people are of the opinion is a conspiracy theory, one thing I know is that, the total number of people involved involved in bitcoin that do not understand the technicalities of how things work, outweighs the ones in the know of the technicals like this. And if they all succeed in pushing out those people with their bickering among themselves, I wonder what they will have left to fight over.
3534  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: About SMAS bans. on: April 29, 2017, 05:14:58 PM
Manu signature campaign lead people to spam. the most common are the condition minimum 25-30 post per week. In that way sig. campaign the owner insists that someone puts a lot of posts weekly. punishment for someone who posts only 10-15 post weekly is ban from the campaign and sometimes list on SMAS. seems to me illogical in the faith against a spammer.
discussions are reduced to repeating all the same words, just to meet the minimum quota of required posts
regards

Not every campaign have minimum post and also I believe the campaign is a contract between someone willing to hire and the other who is willing go offer his service to be binded by some conditions even before the commencement of such assignment. So, if a user knows I won't be able to meet this conditions, he shouldn't bother to join in which I have seen people who have notified their managers about dropping from a campaign due to their tight schedule amongst other reason. Its just the right thing to do. And if you are found wanting, you face the music but I also agree that it should be tampered with some mercy as op has rightly noted.

Shell Game
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shell_game
The shell game (also known as thimblerig, three shells and a pea, the old army game) is portrayed as a gambling game, but in reality, when a wager for money is made, it is almost always a confidence trick used to perpetrate fraud. In confidence trick slang, this swindle is referred to as a short-con because it is quick and easy to pull off.

There's a lot of people currently living in mansions earning millions for doing nothing. They're all insolvent. It's not going to end well.

It doesn't take a prophet to see that it's only a matter of time before all these exchanges collapse.  Shocked

Now is your last chance to withdraw your coins and savings.  Shocked

Don't say I didn't warn you.  Shocked

The lord has spoken.  Shocked

Prophet of God we are really grateful for the heads up but at the same  time I would appreciate a more distinct and more evidence to arrive at this position. Its ok to castigate the exchange sites because of their excesses which might not be in tune with you own level of thinking however, its not all bad as people have predicted the extinction of bitcoin several times which I believe if it happens, there won't be any need for exchange sites in the first place. So, I hope your prediction does not come true.
3536  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitfinex- bank blocked all their deposits on: April 29, 2017, 09:09:55 AM
Situation like this is a testimony that bitcoin cannot stand in the vacuum without relying on the existing financial system in which banks are  a major facilitator for that. It also shows even if government cannot find a loophole to control bitcoin cannot ban the currency, they can go further by after not recognising the currency then frustrate every move to make transaction seamless because in actual fact bitcoin can't survive without fiat.
3537  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin address - are there enough for us all? on: April 29, 2017, 08:36:24 AM
Considering that bitcoin addresses get wasted and discarded like plastic bottles of water, is there ever a risk that we'd use up all the bitcoin addresses?

I realize the possible combinations is 36 to the power of 32, but I don't have a way to make sense of the resulting number. How many address are used in a day? How quickly are we going through these possible combinations?

I believe there is definitely enough to go round and even the service providers suggested such to be use and its for security reasons aside that, its not compulsory to use every suggested addresses because it will even increase the amount  of transaction fees to be incurred due to aggregating the amount to be sent from various addresses.
3538  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin transaction fees fair? on: April 28, 2017, 04:54:28 PM
Everyone wanted higher bitcoin price and we achieved this but another problem become transaction fees. When bitcoin's price was low, we had to pay also low fee and now when it rised, we have to pay high fee in bitcoins and plus that high fee is more higher with current price. Is this fair? The higher the price, the more money miners have with bitcoin exchange.
To my mind when price becomes high, we have to pay low fee and when it becomes low, than fee has to be high. To my mind it had to be done like this from the begining.

In all sincerity, I will have to lend my voice that its not far no matter how we choose to look at it. Before I had always maintained that the increase is justified based on the increase in the price of bitcoin that we have witnessed but its not just comparable as the price of bitcoin has not increased in the same rate the transaction price has equally increased. Its so surprising that what I transfer with less that 0.50$ when price was even $900 I now have to pay several dollars for same transfer. That is not fair in all ways.
3539  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Help My 1st transaction on bitbargain SCAMMED? on: April 28, 2017, 01:27:03 PM
I have just done my first transaction  on bigbargain and sent a vendor called advance5 (bank account holder name) A Unegbu  £171.
Usually money thru bank transfers goes thru instantly.  The vendor tells me money has not arrived and bitbargain customer support which do not provide a phone number, are saying they will reply in 24 hours

Can anyone tell me whether the vendor can run away with my money?

Also I am over 18 years of age

You will need to give more details in other for people to really understand what is it you have gotten into and this is actually a lesson as well to always be careful when dealing with online site. Also, based on what you have there that through a bank transaction, then I believe you can get your money back when you have waited or run out of patience, just go to the bank and lodge the complain and I am sure your money can be tracked.
3540  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Is Cryptobitx.com fake or legit? on: April 28, 2017, 12:45:33 PM
What is it? Exchange? Never heard about it

They said it's a member to member donation website where everyone will get bitcoins after completing the matrix. After signing up, we need to pay .001btc to be upgraded to the first stage. But I think it's not likely possible. Like they said, at Stage 7, you'll get 1024btc, but when I do the math, 1024000 donors are needed to donate .001btc each for the first member to have 1024 btc. Or is my math wrong?

Update: the admin on their Facebook group posted some minutes ago; 34000 members
I dont believe anyone will still fall for all this bogus scheme. Its one of those MLM programme that comes and go within a short period of time without any basis. The people that it will favor are those that set it up because they get referrals leaving you with the effort to start convincing people to part away with their hard earned resources which is not always easy couple with the fact that a lot of people would have fallen prey of one or two of these schemes at one point in time.
