441  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Do You Phase Or Are You Slowing Down Your Gambling Activity When.... on: February 24, 2024, 10:35:09 PM
For the sake of respect whether you're a believer or not and if that's what everybody is doing, I might just stop and wait for sometime to gamble again when they're done and goes back to their old lives. Maybe a day or two will be enough already right with all of these stoppage and paying respect to the religions that everybody has on my neighborhood and relatives? If not, then I'd wait patiently for the time when I resume because if that's what they think is the right thing to do then I'll just go with the flow so that I won't get bashed by these people and will hear that I have no respect for them, for their belief and religion.

Because it's so hard to move nowadays that every single thing of your action will have a counterpart and feedback from anybody. So, with that, we just want to get perfect with those moves so that we will hear no one telling things that are going to make us problematic about it so, it's better to hear nothing and just follow the tradition than to hear something and have a hard-head of not following them.
442  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: So we got new CEO of Binance on: February 24, 2024, 11:45:04 AM
I believe that despite the change in the CEO of Binance, the exchange's development trajectory has not changed, and it remains a top exchange with huge daily trading volumes. I somehow feel that CZ hasn't really stepped back from involvement, and his influence is still there. The main thing is that this news didn't particularly negatively affect the market, so it's not all bad in this situation.
It still remains to the be the top volume exchange. The new CEO doesn't have to change anything as during the reign and management of CZ, he's all set it so, there's not that much to think of for the new CEO but the settlements and fines that Binance itself had received. I don't even think that there's an anticipation that the change of leadership will impact negativity to the market itself or for the company per se. What matters there is that it is just going to make the operation keep going and as the new CEO might have a different approach, as long as things that have been set by CZ is working and 100% perfect for the system then he has to focus into cleansing of the issues that CZ has left.

The settlement is for anti-money laundering and sanctions violations.
Does Binance does any other violations that they should be sanctioned for aside from these matters that they've already settled? I think outside US, they might also face a lot of problems as it is creating a domino impact for most countries if they know that they can milk such money from them.
443  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and its impact on my life: A journey to a better tomorrow. on: February 23, 2024, 11:32:57 PM
I wish your health all the best. What we can learn from your experience is that, it's all about being patient and never panic. I am one of those that have panicked before and sold at an early time but I still have some of my holdings kept until now. I'd say not literally a panic but there's a purpose of it so, I can still give myself a pat in the back because it had solved a problem of mine. It's still frustrating though because I know that the price of Bitcoin will be increasing in due time. I've missed a lot on the last bull run but that's fine because when I've sold, I am still in profit but just lesser.

IMO, there are not so many newbie investors in the community just as you. Many of them have panicked due to what they see that their portfolios have been going down. They don't have the guts to stay in the market even if they are receiving bunch of advises to just stay calm, DCA and keep on accumulating. Good for you that you've made your research and learned that you'll still be able to recover from that loss you've made during that accumulation period, actually that's just a paper loss as long as you haven't sold yet, you'll recover.
444  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 21 million of standard gold bars in the world. on: February 23, 2024, 10:37:53 PM
How can you compare the supply limit of Bitcoin that satoshi decided to start with while with the rest of it remained unmined to gold that has a measurement in metric tons? You're saying about the standard bars and these are all melted and converted into bars, how can you know that? You can't prove that matter but I understand that this theory of yours is going to make sense only if you've got some proof of it.

But it will be a good idea to give us some idea first on how you've ended up with this theory. Just for the sake of the argument and something to talk about since Bitcoin has always been considered the new and modern digital gold, it's always part of the discussion to compare bitcoin and gold but not to this point about the supply because both of them are scarce and hard to mine.

To think further, if you own one Bitcoin and it exceeds the market capitalization of gold, just to give you an idea, it's like owning a 12.4 kg gold bar.
And the advantage with that, you don't need a huge storage and don't need to carry its weight because of how heavy it is.
445  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 🕹️ Esports 🎮 Prediction & Discussion Thread on: February 23, 2024, 09:42:46 PM
I think Im going to regret this and tbh, I've been losing like alot in dota2 ever since this year and it makes me totally lost interest in betting it lol. For some reason I've been doing pretty okay on cs2 although I dont really watch most of the games
If I were you, I'd stick to the CS2 games even if I don't watch most of their games but I am winning. There's still really the passion to bet for Dota 2 matches once you're a fan and a bettor of it. XG and LGD gaming at the finals whilst Boom Esports and IG at the 3rd and 4th place. The prize pool of the championship is certainly far from the 2nd and another chinese team triumphs on this tournament just as always although for some tournaments, it's not a chinese team that has become a champion. What I like with these teams from that region is that they're disciplined and consistent, thanks to their coaches that have been in the scene for a long time and even played professional too before.
Good luck to your bet and sometimes, those that are good at the upper bracket then got some jinx at the grand finals so, that's possible that LGD might lose this despite they're the crowd favorite and bookies agree to that.
446  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Couple won the jackpot but split soon after! on: February 23, 2024, 08:34:55 PM
Well, if I'm the guy, I'd try to fix the relationship so that it's going to be still big amount after taxes. But if there's no solution with that and it's just all money, that's fair to be on a 50/50 split.

There are reasons why they split and for sure the winning money makes them capable to so that decisions and as long as they both agree with the terms, I don’t see any problem for this. Now that they have the money, I’m sure they can be more happy living their own lives, if they are not married I believe the 50/50 sharing should be their terms.
I've watched similar stories that are happening there about couple's breaking up after winning the lottery, winning some jackpot or after getting some insurance money. It's just all about the money and that's sad that their relationship's foundation is about money. Because if they do really love each other, they're going to choose love and relationship other than money. Give person the money that she's got it for the first time and everything will change. They have a different priority and that's hard to change when they're already in the process of splitting or breaking up but at least, they have a good memory that with their break up, they have the money to sustain their needs and they're free to spend it to anything that they wish to.
447  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Are most scammers from Nigeria? on: February 23, 2024, 01:54:21 PM
The reality of Nigeria is only the rich can survive.
I think this is the reality for most countries. Without government support, if you're just living below the poverty level then you're likely to do something that's against your will and that's why if the question if most scammers are from that country, I'd say that they can be found everywhere. With that notion, it all started with those internet/email scams long time ago and that's why they're labelled like that. But look at the exchange owners that tend to be a scam like FTX and also the likes of Do Kwon, they're not from that country and yet, they've scammed a lot of money from the innocent people that have believed in them.

And going about the survival rate, even those people that are not having the best life and are in poverty. They're also surviving and fighting a good fight and balance way of living. I hope that someday that this notion will change and people will be cleared with their minds that if it's about scams, those abusive and real scammers can be found everywhere and they're not only specific to this country. Hopefully, most governments from the countries that have high corruption rate will have someone to save them from that state too.
448  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: February 22, 2024, 10:59:44 PM
Buying out is an option and you'd get the best players but it's expensive and not worth it with the prize that they might get and even not going to be enough for that option to do so.
Well for some majors and tourneys then there are really prize pools arent really that worth that have that stand-in
Of course they would really be always pertaining about the prize pool that they could possibly be able to risks on.

Current PP of Game of the Future tournament is on $1,000,000 USD and having that partition of
1st
$350,000
 2nd
$160,000
 3rd
$120,000
 4th
$70,000

Yeah that's the prize pool for the games of the future and you haven't included yet the other placing that have 4 teams for each placing. I'm talking about that it's not worth it if someone is going to buy out and the buy out contract for that player like with ramzes and any of his good teammate will cost him a lot. I don't know much about this L1ga team if it's an esports organization or these are just players that have named their team like that. As for the next big tournament, it is ESL Birmingham. The prize pool is the same with this Games of the future but it's much better because of the EPT points which was also the same with the points before for DPC.
449  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ESports betting -CS:GO, DOTA 2, LOL, Valorant - Sportsbet.io discussion thread on: February 22, 2024, 09:57:29 PM
I don't understand why ramzes has to stand on his own and build a new team with set of new and unknown players. I think he's a good mentor to them but if it's with this kind of tournament, he should be in a better team with better players.
That roster was probably formed at the last minute as they're one of the many teams that got invited, and with decent prize money, it's usually better to field a team than to withdraw from the tournament.
I agree.
The participation isn't worth it if he'd just chosen who's available. As far as I know, they've got contracts with their current teams and they can't play stand in to any team just to participate this type of tournament and they have to do some buy out. It's the most expensive thing on the dota 2 professional teams to do. Buying out is an option and you'd get the best players but it's expensive and not worth it with the prize that they might get and even not going to be enough for that option to do so. I am looking at ramzes profile, I haven't heard that he has parted ways with 9pandas but that seems so.
450  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Btc and people knowledge on: February 22, 2024, 08:59:37 PM
It's because they don't care about those processes and what matters to them is their daily lives, how we can survive and how we're going to keep up with inflation. They don't need to know how many is printed and how bitcoin is made. As long as they're there to make the whole point of holding Bitcoin or understanding what's happening in the economy through their own assets and investments, it is what matters to most of them. And it is understandable if people say that they're not yet familiar with cryptocurrencies.

That's okay to hear them say that because why they would care? The interest that they have isn't on this market but into something else. Not until they start to step in and have that interest for knowing more about cryptocurrencies and Bitcoin, that's how they're going to learn everything else. And from there, you'd see them trying to learn a lot of things and the initiative that they have to go deeper into Bitcoin and understand more of it.
451  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Investing in meme coins is worthy or not? on: February 22, 2024, 12:29:46 PM
Not with the one mentioned by OP and the others that have been considered to be meme coins that they're the next big thing.

High risk, high reward, pretty fun tho.
It's all fun and games until you start to lose that money of yours with meme coins. While the ones like Dogecoin have been profitable together with shiba and pepe but, not all of them are going to be worth of your money. Pretty fun and wild ride if you're able to profit but if you're too late and just bought because of the hype, you're doing a wrong thing.
452  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How many times we will make the same mistake? - History repeats Again & Again! on: February 21, 2024, 11:38:30 PM
Bitcoin was still on its infancy during that time and this comparison would certainly be in favor of Bitcoin. The traditional assets don't move like that as they're more established and there won't be that much fluctuation anymore except with the real estate. Going on with today's price of Bitcoin and going back to its after a decade, we may have a lesser gain but I think that Bitcoin is still going to be the winner by that time.

As time goes by for Bitcoin, the increase is decreasing and if you've noticed that. From all of the ATHs, you can count how many times it had grown from the former ATH that it has got. So, those that have got in too early like under 2014 were the luckiest but I don't think that many of them are still holding when you have made like 10x-20x, you'd probably sell and that's the main point why many have sold a lot in the past. But as about doing the same mistake again, I wouldn't make the same mistake as I did in the last bull run that even before it, I've sold terribly.

We can't judge people who sold early because we have our own needs. Lucky for you if you have other means to sustain your living. But if you are relying from the profits that you can make out of this market, the likelihood that you will sell of is always there. So it is not about your belief on this market but sometimes it is your financial capability to hold your assets.
Yeah, I am not judging them but I have my shortcomings as well. I've sold a lot during the early days and it's because of the life situation that I have to deal with and I have encountered. And that's why I understand those that have managed to sell too early. I was just saying that if ever there have been early adopters, many of them probably sold a lot and that's why kudos to those that have diamond hands. Even if they've sold handful of it, they're still holding a lot of it.

And from the market that goes on up to this point and with the upcoming years, they're already in profit no matter what happens to bitcoin because they've bought it at a very discounted price and that's the reward that they deserve for believing to Bitcoin at an early stage when majority of the people don't and haven't heard it yet back then.

454  Economy / Gambling / Re: What would you like toask a cryptocasino owner? [NEW QUESTIONS ARE NOT ACCEPTED] on: February 21, 2024, 09:48:20 PM
When actually this interview is going to happen? It has been a few days since you've made this thread and any updates regarding the interview if it's already done or you're close to that date? So, no new questions will be added and those are my questions for you. If it's in the text format then that owner probably might just ask his/her secretary to fill up all of those in text as they dictate the answer. So, as most of the questions are identical, we'll just wait for how this interview is going to be. I think this isn't an interview but most likely a questionnaire and answer filling out by the CEO.
455  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Gate.io - blocked funds without explanation on: February 21, 2024, 08:40:24 PM
You said that you've got a long break and that means that it's possible that you had your account dormant. It's possible that you might have been flagged that your account was hacked or into possession of someone else or any other illegal matters and that's why they've blocked your funds. I think it's reasonable for their end to do that if that break of yours took years. But for more details on what you must do and know about this type of case, they've got a guidelines[1] about it.

456  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 5.00 CGPA or 5 BTC? on: February 21, 2024, 07:37:44 PM
Get that 5 BTC, study and try to achieve those academic goals and grades that you wish to achieve. Because time will come that 5 BTC is going to be a lot, actually it's already a lot as of this time. Having $250k is enough to have a good standard of living while you study. Or get the most of that 5 BTC and wait for the right time to come and sell it, and have a good education. If there's an opportunity for you to have it right now, why not? Study can wait although time is going to pass. While having that amount, you have already the advantage over those that are studying and they'll get tired to work achieving those goals that you already have through having 5 BTC. It's a case to case basis but asking this on a Bitcoin forum, you'll get most people here telling you that we'll choose 5 BTC.
457  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Casinos team identity on: February 21, 2024, 06:29:21 PM
Till this day I didn't see any casino revealing the identity of their team, owners, employers and responsibles of the casino even though players are required to pass a KYC process for their identity, so I'm wondering have you ever thought about this too? and the reasons why most casinos are not doing this process?
Many of the reputable casinos here have their own identities, yes, the CEOs and they're already exposed and became public figures and that's why knowing them is already enough to know if a casino is reputable or not. But to the ones who's starting out, it's up to the owners of it if they think revealing their identities is going to help them have more confidence and trust from their gamblers. Because it somehow gives the idea on what type of management the casino has based on the owner.

As a user of them, if something is wrong, then that's the time that a user has to comply if you're required to do so. But us, if they don't know any about us or about team, it won't matter as long as you've been with them and have experience using them for a long time having no trouble at all. But if that's a big requirement that shall fill your satisfaction, it's up on how you would address that to prove your confidence with them and each of us have a different point of view regarding this.

Fun fact: PSG has been a sponsor of LGD before until it moved to the MENA region and chose Quest to represent them.
Unexpectedly, this is the only tournament they've been in so they might go all the way after seeing Xtreme Gaming and Azure Ray had an underwhelming performance from the previous BB tournament.
And with what they're waiting on their bracket, whoever wins with Thunder Awaken and Boom Esports will be their next matchup, both from the SA region and I think that they will find it easy to beat any of them, well this is for PSG.Quest. Whilst for LGD gaming, after Neon Esports have won against Winter Bear, they can have a good shot against them.

On the other hand, 4 teams were out already and they'll go home with each of them $15,000 prize money ending with 13th-16th placers.
The only team i'm familiar with is the L1ga team (led by Ramzes) and they already failed before while they had kiyotaka in the lineup so it's expected to see them have another bad result.
I don't understand why ramzes has to stand on his own and build a new team with set of new and unknown players. I think he's a good mentor to them but if it's with this kind of tournament, he should be in a better team with better players.

Looking at Entity's roster with their stand-in named, Yowe. He's a good player and added impact to the team While the Games of the Future is on the playoffs. There were 4 teams that have advanced to the quarter finals and out of these 4 teams, 3 of them are chinese teams as listed;

  • Xtreme Gaming
  • Invictus Gaming
  • LGD Gaming
  • PSG.Quest
Fun fact: PSG has been a sponsor of LGD before until it moved to the MENA region and chose Quest to represent them.

On the other hand, 4 teams were out already and they'll go home with each of them $15,000 prize money ending with 13th-16th placers.

  • One Move
  • Echpo4mak

  • HYDRA

Most of these teams are even unknown but still nice try for them and being able to play into this type of tournament packed with top teams, is sure just part of their ways to be one of the top in the future.
460  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is it too advanced to get into Bitcoin now? on: February 20, 2024, 09:28:07 PM
Did the Bitcoin flight already leave investors?
No, there's still enough seats and time for you to invest because every time the market goes on high. That's only the time that investors are thinking if they should invest or not. But the mere fact that everyone have been reminding all of you to buy during the bear market and even before the bull run, you're just ignoring those tips because you think that it's not the right time to buy.

or is there still time to buy a ticket?
Don't wait for someone's validation and confirmation if there's a time to buy your own tickets(BTC). Because if you'll just going to repeat the same questions when the market is going high, you'll totally miss the flight and this hasn't happened once but many times to many investors. Check yourselves if you're decided to buy and from there, start buying so you will be part of the bull run and you'll only need to wait until the right time comes for you to decide selling at the actual bull run.
