481  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Cryptocurrency Trading Strategies for Newcomers: Pointers and Suggestions on: January 27, 2024, 07:59:46 PM
I see you're asking too many questions - you probably won't get anything done before you start. Based on what you asked - you are probably not a new user just getting into trading, so don't make comparisons between you and others.

I hope I haven't misunderstood you - so don't waste your time and do your best and don't force things. Every trader's strategy is different - what's best for them may not be best for you, so don't copy others for your trading.
Exactly. It seems you’re a lot obsessed into trading than any other trader here. Remember that every trader has its different method and strategy on how to profit from his trade, and what might work for others might probably not work for you. So focus on your own and develop your skills and significant strategies that you can utilize in the future.

Trading is not a do or die, so when actually do his thing in trading, regardless if it’s a negative or positive outcome,  what matters more is the experience, not actually if he lose or profit.
482  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin has never pass ATH before halving but it has always dip don't panic. on: January 27, 2024, 07:31:51 PM
Bitcoin price history might certainly bring some significance at present or in the future. However, we can’t also guarantee that price may repeat itself this time, or it could be the other way around. But whatever it is, bitcoin investors should not resort into panicking. That will only lost his focus on his investment or on his trades that will lead him to an unexpected loss.

For the mean time, just observe the market. Bitcoin price may suddenly drop or move upward, and that’s normal due to its volatility. That’s why before you decide to invest in bitcoin, make sure you don’t easily faint if sudden price crash starts to appear.
483  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing]: Pacquiao vs. Buakaw - April 20 on: January 27, 2024, 01:41:03 PM
It's good that old fighters still get to do what they love, which is fighting, even if they're already at an age which is considered old for such a sport. Fans often miss these fighters. And what's more important is that these legends can still earn big bucks in these exhibition matches. Pacquiao and Buakaw are two giants in the fighting scene, although in different sports. No bad blood between them. No belt, championship, or ranking being chased. This is for fun mainly. But it's also the reason why I'm not that interested in betting in exhibition matches.
One of the benefits or opportunity for those who do become legendary fighters is that there is really a huge fan base on which it would really be that still interested
if ever they would really be deciding on having those possible matches. Doesnt matter if its an exhibition as long they could really be able to see them fight on the ring.
Doesnt matter if its a cross sport match based or what, there would really be always those sports fans would really be loving to see these matches.
When it comes on betting on exhibitions then its true that im not really that someone whose really that interested on betting into these matches on which we do know
that this is could really end up on a draw or having no decision or it is really obviously on whose gonna win because of the boxing rules that had been set out.
So its not a brainer on which one whose gonna win.

What do you mean not a brainer on which one is going to win? For me, it's more difficult to predict who is going to win in an exhibition match. In the first place the fighters are not fighting for their record or a belt or whatever. They're simply fighting to entertain the fans. So there is reason to think that they are not really undergoing rigid trainings and preparations, nutrition, diet, etc. It's understandable because they're not fighting professionally. And they're already old. So this could just be a match purely for fun. It's therefore hard to analyze.

I get it. Both might not take it seriously since it's just an exhibition match. But carlfebz2 is right, it's no-brainer on who will win this fight because this is a boxing exhibition match and Manny Pacquiao is a boxer, while Buakaw is a kick boxer. Have you seen a kick boxer beaten a popular boxer in an exhibition matches?

I believe fought a UFC fighter (mayb similar to kick boxing), Jake Paul as well, these two popular fights picked a UFC figher for their exhibition matches and they never lose a fight ,so let's assume that we will see the same outcome here.
484  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou - March 9 on: January 27, 2024, 01:00:29 PM
the result of the poll says a number of us here want Francis to win.
That's an obvious result, we like the hype Francis brought to the boxing world particularly in the heavyweight division. So a win here would proved that he is for real as he beat a real boxer, not an ordinary boxer as AJ was once a champion. Though the odds says otherwise, we still love to see Francis winning this big fight.

since i also want a rematch of Francis and Fury, i want Francis to win.
Francis is already a legend in both boxing and MMA sports so he is as experienced as AJ in fighting but because AJ is much more graceful than Fury, this fight could be tougher than him with Fury.

i think if Francis loses this fight, he may be concentrating more on PFL.

Francis just need to win here, he has to focus on his fight and eventually he'll get the rematch he like. Last time he earned $10 million as reported, but in a rematch, I guess he'll be making more money, or getting a bigger share of the slice.
485  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to make money on cryptocurrencies without investment? on: January 26, 2024, 09:33:03 PM
While a lot of people are focused on crypto as investments, there are also some job offerings that gets you paid in crypto without releasing an amount of capital. If you have the skills, you will eventually be accepted on it, but if you are still in the process of learning, then you have no choice but to reserve some funds to buy bitcoin so you can hold it and sell only when it reaches a significant price. That’s the most common in the crypto market.

However, signature campaign is also a good source of income. But with your current position status, you still have to work on it before you can be accepted to work in a campaign.

486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Anthony Joshua vs. Francis Ngannou - March 9 on: January 26, 2024, 03:52:19 PM
Joshua is going to win this match, Joshua has the required experience to win this game. Let Ngannou not think that his performance against Fury is going to earn him victory over Joshua who is obsessed with coming back to the top and reclaim his belts. It's going to be a good fight no doubt about that, but I expect Joshua to knock him out.
I think most of us here think that Joshua will win, just like when Ngannou faced Fury, people thought that he has no chance but he surprise the boxing world. Now, depsite that almost an upset win by Ngannou, bookmakers are still making him as a heavy underdog, so it's up to us now to evaluete if we really believe that Ngannou really has a chance to upset Joshua on their fight.

A win for Ngannou will give him an opportunity to challenge a champion, while for AJ, he'll be back to square one again.

Though on paper this looks very predictable, but we never know what will happen in the actual fight, and since AJ is has some weakness too as evidence on his multiple losses, Ngannou might be able to exploit that.
487  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Tim Tszyu vs Keith Thurman WBO super welterweight Title March 31 on: January 26, 2024, 03:14:35 PM
I was checking for the betting odds, and it seems like Thurman here is a heavy dog.

Thurman is 5/1.. Shocked
With all his inactivity, this is pretty much reasonable, people would try to tempt to bet on thurman knowing his track records unless the inactivity is due to the concern of injury or similar and will affect his future fights and this is the fight.
There's no harm in trying as long as you don't bet an amount you can't afford to lose. Whatever he is doing to stay fit, we just have to trust him on that part. But we can't deny the fact that Thurman only have one loss which is from Manny Pacquioa.

Compared to Pacquioa and Tszyu, I think the former was the better since he is now a legend, he has power and quickness, and yet Thurmand did have a good and competitive fight with him.

I think Tim might beat Thurman though, maybe Keith is about to hit his sunset in boxing for being so inactive and can't pull the trigger anymore.
I will not be so easy about on this if i'm on the Tim's side, Thurman get seeking this stage and would probably do his best to startup again his career.

Thurman wanted to become a champion again, he's been saying that, so we will see if he can make it happen against a younger and very active champion.
488  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why the rush to gain profit in crypto? on: January 25, 2024, 11:54:39 PM
The most annoying thing to me about this forum or just forums /social media sites in general when it comes to cryptocurrency or more specifically bitcoin, is the whole "profit" thing.   "How to profit" blah blah blah.  Yeah sure it's great owning bitcoin and making money from it with increases in price, but for me it's truly about the technology and what it brings to the table in terms of the blockchain, decentralized etc.
That’s how it’s supposed to be but we can’t control also the mindset of majority that when they hear about bitcoin, it’s all about profits and getting rich quick. Most probably because they also based their assumptions from the crypto influencers spread online, and based from the real life stories of some early investors who are now living in success.

However, for us who are really aware about the best advantage of bitcoin, we are more focused on the technology that it can offer to us, and the decentralization thing that gives us the sole control of our finances without being interrupted by any third party.
489  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Ryan Garcia - Rolly Romero Tentantive date April 20 on: January 25, 2024, 01:29:18 PM
This should be a title fight, Rolly Romero holds the WBA super lightweight title, but it's obvious that it was a controversial win by Rolly.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iaFWzU719fc

But in any case, it's a classic fight, both have power, but I think Ryan will be smart about this fight, he might have learn a lot from fighting Tank Davis. And with Derrick James guiding him and this is their second fight, we might see him winning in a hard fought match. And I wouldn't be surprised if he will catch Rolly with his left hook and knocking him out and then winning a belt at 140 lbs.

I want this fight to happen they are in the final stage of the negotiation, these are two thrash talkers, and when we have two trash talkers fighting inside the ring expect a lot of drama, no one wants to get beaten on their thrash-talking, it's going to be a battle of power and skill inside the ring and a battle of who is the best thrash talker while doing press and media conference.
Rolly Romero's last fight was not that good he was almost beaten by the aging Barroso in a controversial stoppage, while Ryan is very convincing in his fight against
Oscar Duarte.
I thought Ryan Garcia would lose on his previous fight but he knew how to make an adjustment and he KO'd his opponent. Based on what I observed, looks like Ryan has matured and he added some defensive style, and with his power on both hands, he can hurt Rolly who is not an undefeated. Both fighters fall to the hands of Tank Davis, so we they are just leftovers, lol. But Rolly is the champ here, so Garcia has a chance to be a champion if he steal the belt from Rolly.

I have Ryan here winning by knockout, I believe that Ryan can connect his left hook because Romero is stationary and very stiff, he is very careless when moving forward, and he can easily connect that left hook.

Same here, Garcia has power and Rolly are not as quick as Davis. So may the best man win, but I'm betting on Garcia to win by KO too.
There's no official betting odds on this fight yet since it's not yet official but I believe Ryan Garcia will be listed as the heavy favorite even though he is the challenger.

490  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Lomachenko vs. Kambosos - May 12 IBF Lightweight Title on: January 24, 2024, 01:33:14 PM

If Loma couldn't KO or win more rounds then it could be a win for George by decision. Loma not winning this fight is nowhere else to go. He has to win otherwise it will be a series of loss.

I have not seen Loma slowing down in his last fight against Haney he did better than Kambosos against Haney on two occasions so it's easy to figure out that Lomachenko will be a better fighter when the fight that is why I posted that we don't need a post for this fight.

Both fighters badly need to win this fight. I'm sure they will both go all out to prove that they deserve to be in contention for a title, It is always good to see if you see two fighters battling it out or surviving to stay in contention, the loser will slip further in ranking. The winner will move up and possibly earn another title fight.
Both fighters still have what it takes to be champion again it's just unfortunate that one of them will have to unless the fight ends in a draw.

Of course, he is still the same Loma whom who we praise. Loma lose to Haney was not convincing, and that until now the fans are still shouting for a rematch, if Haney would agree, we will see who the real winner is. If Kambosos could not even match the skills of Haney, I don't see any difference with Loma who has the power and also a very technical fighter.
That should be the expectation now but anything can happen. Ever remember when Kambosos beat Teofimo Lopez? I think everyone was expecting for    Teofimo Lopez to win that fight easily since he beat Loma here. So if we follow the chain, the fighter that beat Loma was beaten by Kambosos, so it could be Kambosos now beating Loma. That's why we can never say it's an easy fight for Loma.

I think this fight will end Kambosos career in boxing as he is now in a losing streak .And as on the choices in the poll, I voted for Loma winning via KO.

Not surprise seeing that 77.8% of the users voted for that. Well, it will likely happen as Kambosos are not good in playing defense, so he needs to have a solid chin to surive this fight even if he lose.

He is not in a losing streak, last fight held last year but ended as Majority Draw.

Now, he is back to a big fight again, a lose here could make him decide to quit as it's unlikely he will become a champion again if he stays at the ccurrent division. But that's up to him, so far, I haven't seen a fighter that was severely injured after fighter Loma, and Kambosos seemed to have a solid chin as he stayed up even with a bloody face on his previous fights.
491  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Zhilei Zhang vs. Joseph Parker (WBO interim heavyweight title) March 8 on: January 24, 2024, 12:16:10 PM

Actually Parker has more fights as per boxrec, and he is younger, looking at that he got the edge but bookies listed him as underdog.

https://boxrec.com/en/proboxer/613846
https://boxrec.com/en/box-pro/692149
Because Parker was beaten by stoppage by Joe Joyce who Zhang beat twice by stoppage on those two fights so based on the analysis and on the theory that you have to beat the man that beat the man, Zhang is the favorite to win, this fight looks even two me, I already agreed that there should be a dedicated thread for this because not only this is a title fight but its also this is a much interesting fight as the fight could go either way, it depends on who wants the fight badly.
Both fighters know the importance of the fight and they will go all out for this fight.

So far the result of the poll

Zhang by decision   - 1 (12.5%)
Zhang by KO   - 6 (75%)
Parker by decision   - 0 (0%)
Parker by KO   - 1 (12.5%)

Zhang by KO is the winner. Most of us here believe that it will happen and Zhang will dominate the fight. However, I don't consider it a big factor that Joyce beat Parker while Zhang beat Joyce twice because Parker might have improve and he gained enough confidence now after beating a KO artist Wilder. IMO, this fight is very unpredictable, two unpopular boxers which one will be a champion soon. Hopefully they'll gain more popularity after this especially if this fight will end up to be a close contest so we could possibly see a rematch or even trilogy.
492  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Why people mostly fail in trading on: January 22, 2024, 02:11:30 PM
People needs mentorship for them to excel in trading what they mostly do nowadays instead of them getting to attached themselves with people who knows what the real deal is with trading they will go search some random youtube influencers who don't go into details with their trading guide, even those who claimed to have been an expert in trading also lose money but they won't come to air how much they have lost rather will be post little tips on youtube to build their youtube followers by the time they noticed they've gain lots of followers they began to make money through their youtube channel and totally forget about trading.
If you are really determined to be a professional trader someday, you would definitely prepare for that, not just physically and emotionally, but more likely financially as it’s a lot expensive if you hire a professional trader that is certainly knowledgeable and skillful on his craft.

While real professional traders demand for high professional fees, you can find it free in social media if you indulge yourself with these self-proclaimed successful traders. Probably that’s the reason why a lot would settle getting some tips from these kind of people, not realizing that even if they save their funds from not getting real professional traders, their bank account will also be compromised if they entrust their money with these too good to be true traders from the social media.
493  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Have you ever regretted selling your bitcoins ? on: January 22, 2024, 01:43:22 PM
Yes many times I would say. I have always sold the Bitcoins when I am in need of emergency money. Else I never sell Bitcoins regularly. After selling the Bitcoins, I notice that always Bitcoins have gone up. And for that I regret that, If I would have sold it later in time, then I could have made some more cash from it. Nevertheless it’s human nature, we never gets happy with the things we have, we always wants more.
That’s the disadvantage if you don’t have a stable flow of income, you will most likely sell bitcoin most especially if you are having sudden financial problems. However, no matter how often we hear advice like saving for emergency funds, I guess people still find it hard to follow. We may save at its first days or months but eventually we end up using the funds.

Thankfully, we have bitcoin on one hand that can save us from having financial issues. But it would bring more advantage to us if we can hold our bitcoin and only sell it when it reaches our target price. Such easy to say but actually hard to follow when you’re actually hodling bitcoin.
494  Other / Meta / Re: I wonder if the forum would be much better without signatue campaigns on: January 22, 2024, 09:48:34 AM
My views are quite different from yours. Without signature campaigns, I guess the whole forum members might not be this eager and well interested to post, simply because members are not paid anymore from their hard works and sleepless nights just to have quality posts. And for obvious reason, we will only see less quality posts but more likely spams and low content posts.

However, this is just from my own point of view. I would be lying if I’ll say I’m posting for no reason at all, but honestly, being paid with all these posts greatly matters.
495  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: No one has gone broke taking profits, always take profits. on: January 22, 2024, 06:25:40 AM
Selling when you see possible profits is not actually a wrong thing. In fact, the reason why you’re trading or hodling in the first place is to generate profits, and when you see good profits, then that’s the time to sell. Regardless if the profits is just a small amount, I think selling is still valid.

However, if you prefer to hold longer to gain bigger profits, that’s also a wise option to increase your profits. If you don’t need some funds at the moment, then it’s a wiser idea to just hold it longer and only sell when the market gets bullish or when bull run starts to takes place.
496  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: You must have a source on: January 21, 2024, 08:43:13 PM
Hodling is safely keeping your coins within a year or even consecutive years without being tempted to sell, which means there’s no selling earlier, otherwise you’ll end up selling at a loss. And this will only be possible if you have a stable source of income that can sustain all your daily needs and wants, without touching your investments.

A lot of us here have been trying to invest and hold, most particularly for bitcoin as it’s designed to be long term investment. While others have succeeded and sell it after years of hodling and make massive profits, majority still end up selling earlier because they don’t have funds anymore to provide for their needs. So if you have no stable job to support your needs, then holding won’t eventually work for you.
497  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Patience can help alot on: January 21, 2024, 02:18:47 PM
In sports gambling, apart from being patient, you certainly need to analyze the club before placing a bet on it to reduce losses. Apart from that, management in placing money in each bet also really needs to be paid attention to. Being patient but still careless in placing money in each bet is also useless. Discipline and patience may be the complete package for the gambler.
Both are important, having a skills in analyzing the game before placing it, and the patience when gambling. I know a lot of gamblers out there who are good in analyzing a game and they could really make the righ prediction most of the time, maybe if we convert it to percentage, they can reach 55% max right most of the time. But you know what's the problem? Their luck of patience, or discipline, they are unable to follow their game plan because they let their emotion run them in the game, which we know is wrong since based on our experience, that's what we called the recipe for disaster.
498  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Inoue vs Casimero (possible fight in 2024) Let's discuss! on: January 21, 2024, 01:31:08 PM
This is still gonna take time and we're not even sure if it's going to be locked in by the end of this year. Despite announcing early that there is the possibility, I wouldn't jump on that hope thinking that it is really gonna be. If we are on the official track and it is already by the books, then that's where we should celebrate and wait for the match to actually happen.

At this point, I remembered Pacman's fight when his opponent was replaced by another fighter at the very last minute before the fight happens. And that's why with such a long time of wait and patience, there are too many things and adjustments that can happen and it can be applicable to this. Whilst Inoue is the most sought fighter and champion today by many boxers, it's such a pleasure to be given the time and opportunity to be locked in as his opponent whoever is going to be the challenger.

The name of Casimero was only referenced by Inoue as part of his plans this year. Anyhow, it is just a plan, and no finality or agreement is made. Casimero was only referenced last in the list of boxers. Numerous boxers looked for a match with Inoue so everything could change in the plan.

As expectations are high for an Inoue match, Casimero can keep himself occupied and work on his ratings. He can match himself to boxers who are rated highly. Casimero can challenge Akhmadaliev and Goodman if Inoue and Nery already have a deal.

Casimero keeps challenging Inoue because he felt the fight was due, it was the "unfinished business" as these two were suppose to before the pandemic, and although the pandemic was over, the postponed fight turned out to be a cancelled fight, which I understand why Casimero is still chasing Inoue.

As long Casimero is still active, we should not be surprise to hear the name Inoue from him as he'll continue to trash talk Inoue until the latter will finally grant his challenge.
499  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [Boxing] Tyson Fury vs Oleksandr Usyk - February 2024 in Saudi Arabia on: January 21, 2024, 10:33:29 AM
Btw, promotion of this fight might be a failure. If Fury is a media guy, he can increase sales, then Usyk is very modest. I expect him to be very silent during pre fight conference (at least Fury wont get into Usyk head Cheesy), also it is not likely they would make funny promotional video as Fury vs Ngannou. Their promo would be a standard.
It's not about the promo man IMO. This is a unification fight, from the moment it was announce official and tickets are available for safe, people are already buying as this is probably the best fight this year. It will be next month but I'm sure they'll already achieve their target ticket sales, or if there's a PPV too, I'm sure their reach a decent number of PPV subscription.

If people are buying a Fury vs Ngannou fight, they'll buy more on this real and a unification fight.
500  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2024 NBA Season on: January 21, 2024, 09:08:12 AM
Sometimes Anthony Edwards plays very well and sometimes he makes simple mistakes like this. OKC deserved this game in the end. Should we not talk about SGA? He doesn't seem to get the attention he needs. He took the Oklahoma City Thunder to the top of the West. When you look at the roster, you can't imagine the Thunder here. They really have a different chemistry. There's no one player that comes to mind as a superstar, but when they come together they play really well. It's the first time they are this good since the days of Durant, Westbrook, Harden.

SGA is a underrated player, but that's good enough for him though, no need to get that attention, he just get the job done and he should also be in the contention or at least discussion for a MVP season as he brings the OKC on top together with players that also do the dirty jobs.
Unfortunately he is not in the top 3 now. Although his numbers are good but he is very limited with points unlike other superstars where they could get points, rebounds and even assists. But who would not notice this young man, he is now the franchise player of OKC and with his young and talented teammates, I wouldn't be surprise if they'll reach the playoffs, even in the Finals as they just beat the number 1 team.

Actually, IMO, the teams to beat in the West are only Clippers and Nuggets, at least for now, and OKC are capable of doing that as long as they remain healthy.

I think it's a new era for the Thunder, they have totally rebuild and now it's paying off with their picks and future picks from the trade that they did like CP3 and PG and dividends are growing with SGA as the new franchise player. And it's going to be a big test for them in the playoff, and we might compare them to at least the Sacramento Kings from last season. But hopefully they will have the mental toughness if lets say they go on the second round and faces a great and experience team and bring the best out of team.

OKC needs to learn how to play physical basketball as SGA will surely be targeted since he is the energizer of the team. Their game against the Minnesota, that was a very physical game as they were only held to 102 points, but I'm glad they're able to figure out how to win, and that's a road win.
