481  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A gambler takes his own life after a loss. on: December 14, 2023, 12:31:47 PM

I hope that greedy gamblers can learn from this man's story, if you are not ready to lose any amount of money in gambling do not even think about winning a lot of money with it, stop fooling yourselves and accept that you aren't ready to lose the money.

I guess we can also call them desperate gamblers. They are here becacuse they believe they can make money and could change their lives for the better, it's just that not eveyone has the iron heart to witdstand financial trials in our life. It's a dump idea to think gambling could solve our financial struggle, unless otherwise we really have the skills that we can rely to bring us some consistent profit, in that case, only few have.
482  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one is fun, watching with bet or without a bet? on: December 14, 2023, 06:30:24 AM
Personally, a a bettor, I find it very stressful when watching the game you are betting especially if it will end up a losing bet.
If we have the same experience, how do you cope up with that problem, after all, gambling should be fun but why we have this kind of feeling that we feel disappointed when our bet loses?
Gambling is only a hobby when you play with a very small amount of money, having no impact on your life, or when you play for fun, detached from the money involved. However, most people gamble with the hope of making more money. In that case, they feel joy when they win and certainly disappointment when they lose money. I understand the tension when watching a live match that you've placed a bet on; I've been there, especially when the outcome has a significant impact on my budget.
It's only few of us probably gambling with a small amount. Because if we look at how profitable the gambling industry is, it's easy to assume that lots of money are going in, so with that information, we can tell that there's plenty of gamblers who are spending a lot of money and I'm pretty sure that most of them aren't happy with what they are doing.

OF course, who would be happy when they are losing money, right?

Moreover, after a few losses, the next bet to recover the lost money is often emotionally charged. We tend to be quite emotional while watching live games, and I think many people can relate to that.

Some people often say that watching live matches without betting lacks excitement, but that's just when you're starting out. Once you've experienced a few losses, the thrill is replaced by the pressure of watching the game live when it doesn't go as you hoped.

That's it, sometimes we think of chasing because we are getting emotional, and that could usually happen during the live betting as sports does have longer outcome compared to games like roulette or other popular casino games, so along the way there's this live betting that we may take as we want to make sure we'll end up profitable when the game ended.
483  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bankroll! on: December 14, 2023, 06:02:52 AM
Who are these people that are dreaming of investing in sports betting? I'm sure that there's not a lot of people that are going to do that even when you make it look logical, sounds to me like you're creating fictional people that are considering investing in sports betting because I haven't seen a lot of users posting here that even consider that not even the NBA or Football mega threads. But if you're talking about short-term funds for sports betting then I would say I'd be comfortable to have around 200 USD because it's a safe amount, not too big for me but at the same time enough for me to make some profit in case I get a win in my bet.

They are the people who believe that making money in sports is possible. 1% of the total gamblers  or sports bettor are making money which will make them an exceptional bettors if they'll be successful with it. Everyone of us starts with a dream, I think it's okay to dream as long as you know your limit, at least once if your life you were able to do the things that you wanted to, if you fail, then back to the basic, which is to consider gambling as fun.
484  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How can I start investing in Bitcoin? on: December 13, 2023, 09:59:43 PM
Can someone please guide is it a good practice to start investing in Bitcoin in this upcoming January-2024?
I don't think it is. The market still looks bullish because of the expected ETF approval that will happen hopefully by January which means bitcoin that time will become more expensive from its original price. So that would be a bit riskier if you start investing at a high price. However, starting a small amount is not bad at all. You can invest anytime you want as long as your purpose is to buy and hold bitcoin for long term. But you can never expect to make it instantly big with the upcoming bull run. At least, you can still be in profits and just continue to DCA with bitcoin as this is the right thing to do when you come to invest at an expensive price.
485  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 13, 2023, 01:14:48 PM
Hopefully we can see Spurs get a good trades and find those players that can help him or even get a star also maybe some veteran to help them became more better each game the play.

They don't have a star player to trade, so if there's someone that will be traded, we can't expect a start player like Wemby in return. I think they'll have to build the team with the current line up, improve the chemistry and be healthy, eventually they'll be a tough team like the OKC.

Still too early to expect the SPurs to be playoff contender, it was just Wemby was overhyped resulting to people have a high expectation on him, but as we can see, he is going through a process and let's understand it would take time for him to be a complete player.
486  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: December 13, 2023, 12:56:32 PM
I saw Bollick playing already, not leading the scoring yet but it looks like he is already comfortable with his new team. NLEX starting strong, and have finished the first quarter with a double digit lead, if this will continue, they'll like win this game and their losing streak will be over soon.

This game is now getting exciting to watch, I thought it will be another blowout win by TNT, but they are the one who are trailing here.

Bollick was just facilitating the ball and they have a good ball movement resulting to a big lead they keep after the first half.

The score now is 39-58, that's a 19 points lead, I don't think TNT will be able to come back in this game even if they'll make this a single digit game, they may owned the 3rd quarter but they'll get tired in the 4th as they are undermanned. No Castro, so no good ball facilitator.
487  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which one is fun, watching with bet or without a bet? on: December 13, 2023, 11:25:13 AM
You feel sad after every loss, that's normal, you are not a human if you don't feel upset when you lose money. However, as a human also, we need to move on and go for the next bet. personally, I have more fun watching the game that I'm betting, I'm a big fan of live betting, so I'm having some fun, although you are right that it could be stressful sometimes, but we can defeat that stress by not betting a huge amount of money.

Small amount, less excitement, less stress.

Big amount, big excitement, big stress.

In the end , it's up to us to choose.
488  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Nobody is above the law on: December 13, 2023, 08:40:22 AM
As a newbie that I am in this forum, I have been very observant in things that have be going on in this forum, but one thing that stands out too me that I found really impressive is the law, and measures put in place to do follow up on defaulter.

No body is above the law, an this forum demonstrate that to the greatest effect that I have ever experience.

Sometimes we do make mistakes as humans that we are, but in order for the forum to be transparent and clean the law and the standard need to be maintained.
Too me the forum have really lived up to the hype in terms of knowledge and discipline.
If you are a responsible member and a good follower, you will find the forum rules and laws not hard to follow. You value yourself just like you value other members opinions and ideas, so you will never have a problem sticking to the forum laws.

The admin has made it clear that there'll only be transparency all over the forum, and I think the forum has achived it without bias and dishonesty. And when it comes to knowledge, the forum has well filtered the invalid and comes up with the legit and valid insights and ideas.
489  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is the absance of Bitcoin affect the crypto Industry? on: December 12, 2023, 09:34:23 PM
Certainly, yes. Bitcoin is the lifeblood of the crypto market, without it then the crypto industry will never be promising and competitive just like we have right now. With bitcoin's absence, random altcoins will continue to rise in the market and increase the scamming incidents in the crypto industry. When that happens, people will never trust the market anymore as only bitcoin gets the highest utility and the highest trust from its investors.

While this is quite inevitable to happen, but we all know also that crypto without bitcoin will never be the same again. That's why I don't like imagining it because I know that will never happen for now and hopefully in the future.

490  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2023 NBA Season on: December 12, 2023, 01:34:51 PM
I guess Coach Pop already said to Wemby that he must forget that ROTY title because winning a title for the team is way better than that title. TBH, I have trust in Coach Pop. I mean who doesn't? The coach has been in the league for decades, is the most winningest coach in NBA history, and trying to develop a generational player in Wembanyama.

Unlike any other position, Centers like him need to have more conditioning and just need to focus on improving himself rather than chasing the title because obviously, he is not like Lebron in his rookie year because he can take the risk without putting his physical health on the table. Unlike Wemby, he doesn't have that option, he needs to take it slowly but surely to scope and absorb all of that experience to be a dominating player by the next years of his NBA era.

Wemby has the talent of an ideal big man, could shot outside and has a good range in mid range. However, there's one thing that he need to develop, and that is his physique. I mean we can understand that since he is still young, but since he's in the NBA now (his ultimate dream), it should not be a problem from a team on transforming Wemby to be like a Giannis body. Let's just wait and see, maybe a season or two, we will see a more competitive Wemby.
491  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Who should quit, and why? on: December 12, 2023, 01:03:55 PM
Hey house someone need a few clips here, don't know if a post of this exact nature has been discussed though.

In a situation where the both spouse are gamblers. Husband gambles, wife gambles, how can both of them manage the situation in terms of finance and the family affairs especially when children are now involve so that the time both spends on gambling doesn't affect family moments and affairs in general.

Would it help if  one of the couple quit for the other and if that's the case who should quit for who.

You've got a very complicated scenario, to be honest as I seldom see husband and wife gambles. With this scenario, I think their children are not well taken care of as their time is focused on gambling.

If one should quit, it should be the wife so she could take care of their household, besides a woman who gambles a lot is not common and considered immoral in our country, don't know in your place but here in our place, a woman gambler is tag as irresponsible and not a wife material.

If they are rich it's okay for them to gamble as long as they are on the point that they consider gambling as an entertainment only.

However, if they are both struggling financially and yet they are still gambling, most likely the family will be affected, and guess what, their kids will likely become gamblers when they grow up as that's what they see as they are growing up. What the parents are doing is a big influence of the children as they grow up.

I believe this kind of scenario is not new, I mean in less developed countries, we can see a lot of families like that, they gamble even if they have financial problems, and it's one of the reasons why poverty has increase. Even in our country, there's this government aid for the poor which they'll receive monthly, and instead of people are being help, it makes them more lazy as they are just relying on it and even use it in gambling.
492  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Correction is possible in bitcoin price? After 40,000$ on: December 12, 2023, 07:25:00 AM
Bitcoin prices have been on the rise for the past two to three weeks, with no significant correction observed during this period. Currently, the bitcoin price hovers around $39,300. The surge in bitcoin prices can be attributed to the news of ETF approval circulating in the market.

However, what is your opinion? Do you anticipate a potential drop in the bitcoin price, revisiting $30,000 after reaching $40,000, or do you believe it will continue its upward trajectory towards $50,000?
The closer this year will end, the higher we see bitcoin price surging that made me think that any market correction might not be happening this year anymore. But we all know this remains an illusion because we know from the start that bitcoin moves its price mysteriously. So I still have this feeling that any time, bitcoin might experience another price correction and we know its unstoppable.

But is there any reason to be mad or resort into panicking? Of course, there's none. No matter how deep the price drops, bitcoin will always comes up recovering again. So let's just enjoy the opportunity if ever it happens, at least we can add more cheap bitcoins into our portfolio.
493  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: We All Know, The halving time will be full of drama on: December 11, 2023, 09:26:12 PM
We All Know, The halving time will be full of drama

You are absolutely right, Bitcoin halving is a crucial event in crypto currencies space, and it can potentially generate lot of attention and discussions within crypto community. This event can often lead to excitement and uncertainty. Some people may spread fear, uncertai9nity and doubt during these times. It is important for long term investors to remain firm and continue holding your Bitcoin, as the historical trend suggest that Bitcoin consistently makes new all time high after the having and same historical pattern of growth is likely to be repeated after the next having. 494  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Are you Spending more or less money on Casino this Holiday season on: December 11, 2023, 01:08:28 PM
No, because this holiday season there's a lot of expense I have to take care of.

You know, giving gifts on christmas day to family and friends, I don't even know if there are still some budget left for gambling, but of course I will try to allocate as christmas would not be fun if I can't bet while watching my favorite games, but one thing is sure, it will smaller compared to the past months.

Maybe for those who are employed they would spend more as they would be receiving their bonuses, but for me, it's just a normal day as my business is running as usual, seems like December is not the peak season for my business.
495  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: A hero or a fool? on: December 11, 2023, 12:19:35 PM
Wait....I don't fully understand the story. He banned himself from gambling, but he was still able to gamble. Additionally, you mentioned that when he gambles, he wouldn't be paid if he wins big, or he would only be paid a maximum of $200.

Does this mean that the casino is allowing him to bet big but would only pay a maximum of $200? Nah, this seems unusual, it could suggest that the casino might be cheating him, or perhaps he fabricated the story. Which is the case?

Tell him to play online, no more banning would happen even if he is too good, unless he's cheating.
496  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Bankroll! on: December 11, 2023, 07:15:48 AM
1. How much bankroll can you afford to start with?
For long term purposes, I think I could start a maximum of $1000, but I won't be able to produce that money upfront or deposit all of that in a casino. $1000 is just my limit, if I lose all that money, I would stop gambling and wait for the next season.

Quote
2. With your bankroll, how much expected profit do you anticipate in a year?
In a year, this is kinda long term so I needs long term answer.

In figures, maybe for $1000 bankroll, I'd be okay with $5000 net profit in a year.

Quote
3. Will you be content with your profit? If not, have you considered increasing your bankroll, even if you cannot afford it?
No one would be contented in gambling, if we are consistently winning, we would be more aggressive in betting our skills, so most likely I would increase my bankroll on the next season, so I could expect a bigger profit, that if I would still enjoy the same outcome I had in the past.
497  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Trading is hard!!! on: December 10, 2023, 09:59:33 PM
It's funny how people see trading as a Ponzi or get rich scheme. They end up losing there hard earned money in the chase for more money.
It's also so funny how some wants to learn a life changing skill in two weeks or a month, meanwhile they spend 4-5 years studying an obsolete course.
Trading like any profitable venture takes time, perseverance and consistently developing and sharpening your skill to be profitable.
In trading you'll fail a thousand times but it's your ability to pick yourself that differentiate you from the lot. Pay for knowledge to shorten your learning time, else you'll learn and you'll learn the hard way.
Develop yourself, pay for knowledge, give time to your craft, pick yourself up any time you fail.
The sky will be your starting point 🕊️❤️
Trading has a lot of risks that makes it hard to deal and overcome. But if you are a passionate and determined trader, you will always want to try and make things work out. Note that there's no shortcut to trading success, you will encounter consistent losses, mistakes that will make you fail on your trades, but every trader has certainly experienced that before reaching their current position right now.

If you fail, then trade again. If you lose, then trade again. Experience will make you a better trader in the process. As long as you have money and confidence to trade again, then trading repeatedly will never be hard and will always be fine and possible.
498  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Selling All Fiat In Bank For BTC? on: December 10, 2023, 08:53:43 PM
When someone says he will sell all or invest all in bitcoin, that is an overstatement for sure. Even the rich men will never do that because they follow certain plan investments like sticking to its budget as every investment should have it's own sufficient budget, not very small nor very high, just enough. But when someone says that he will invest all his investment budget, the statement is very clear itself.

Besides, selling all fiat in bank for btc means that your greed is too high that creates danger when investing. We don't hold the future outcome of any investment even with bitcoin, so it's always safer not to risk all our assets just to maximize the profits with bitcoin.

1- How long have you been gambling in sports?
Ans ; It's been awhile, before the 2017 bull run I guess. I could not remember the exact days but I'm sure I have been here for many years and I can call myself an experience gambler, however, that doesn't mean I'm consistently profitable.

Quote
2 -What are your worst experience in sports betting?
Ans ; Just like everyone else, the worst experience is when I run out of patience, I continue to chase on my last money even if I know it will be trouble if I lose. In fact I lose, that's why I can say I learn the hard way.

Quote
3-What are your best experience in sports betting?
Ans ; Winning big wagers, but since I don't really put a lot of money, I'm a kind of bettor who bet small and try to win big, and the only way to achieve that is betting on parlay. So yes, that was winning on parlay which is the best experience I had.

Quote
4-What can you advise on the new gamblers and those who struggles in sports betting?
Ans ; You need to be a risk taker, if you have no balls, you can't be a sports gambler, period.
500  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2022–23 PBA Commissioner's Cup on: December 10, 2023, 06:39:21 AM
We have two games today, and the first game will start in less than an hour, so check on your bookies now so you'll not miss the fun.

First game is Meralco vs Northport, I'm betting on the better team here with -3.5. For the 2nd game, I have Magnolia -7.5 against SMB, SMB lose on their previous game, they'll struggle more against a healthy and complete Magnolia.

No JMF inside, it will be hard for them to prevent the attacks inside.
