No, I am not. Everyone here knows exactly who I am talking about and I went on to describe the individuals. Unfortunately though most of those people a top of the list still make excuses for them regardless, and are intimidated against openly supporting certain trustworthy people for fear of gaining their ire.

I don't, and I believe you are judging based on jealousy.  :/

Who am I jealous of Vod, you? What am I jealous of that I don't already have?
4962  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: April 07, 2019, 08:33:12 PM
Does anybody else think DefaultTrust is slowly turning into a popularity contest where you have to abide by rules from the established members or else you are shunned?
Even if I get the intention of forcing a member to "clean"(maintain aka evict some undesirables,... ) his trust list to stay in DT1, this feels kinda wrong.

Trust is sometimes a fickle bitch, but while i have lauda distrusted i respect everybody elses decision to trust lauda and don't go into a frenzy distrusting people.

The reaction with willi9974 was in my opinion a bit overboard, a notice like "hey you are in DT1, can you please look at what does this mean and update your list accordingly?" should have sufficed.

This has always been the case for the default trust. At first people pretended this was not the case and the staff tried to cover for them, but eventually the environment of having no rules meant it just continually devolved into this ball washing circle jerk we have today where the most manipulative control freaks sit atop the default trust. These people care more about getting their dopamine hit from making little red marks and controlling people than serving this community equitably.

I take issue with the bold part as you are painting everyone on DT with the same brush.  There are some good people on DT who are not manipulative control freaks and I for one take offense at your statement.

He's not a special snowflake, he's a random. If I changed my list today adding every single user that gave me positive rating i.e. started trust farming/abusing my position, I'd be swiftly removed as well.

Another great example of how having no official rules turns some one who simply didn't absorb the unwritten rules via osmosis into a victim of the dopamine click addicted control freaks that think it is something to be proud of that they are an assembly line of uncountable accusations to the detriment of the user base.

I dislike treating anyone with humility, that's more for Loyce and actmyname also known as the Switzerland's of BTCT. I'm a witch after all, and a tyrant apparently.

Spoken like a true control freak with no regard for others. You pretend what you are doing is for the community using this as a shield for your destructive behavior, really it is only to serve your own obsessive desire to control others.

Please explain, Tecshare, what you mean by "groups". I certainly know that the CPS (child protection services) in the USA are haywire, like the Western European ones, and have seen some small moves by some (Republican) politicians to investigate them. But perhaps you mean someone else – someone joining in to take advantage?

Well as you may or may not know, these organizations are closely linked with child trafficking rings. I was simply pointing out that I am finally seeing some progress on that front here where some of these people who are often driving these CPS organizations to act are finally being shut down, at least to some degree. In the past evidence would simply vanish, along with witnesses, or charges would mysteriously be dropped. This is not happening as much any more and I am seeing more of these people go in to cages where they belong.
4965  Other / Politics & Society / Re: Why so many people say "Muslims are terrorists" Should we say that? on: April 07, 2019, 05:00:59 PM
The bible has it's own fair share of violence, genocide, immorality etc. As the quran if you'd dig deep into it. I think the difference is that there are a lot of apologists and leaders who interpret the bible differently scrubbing out all the bad things there while muslim leaders are somewhat purists, sticking exactly to their holybook quite literally.

This whataboutism has been brought up already about 5 times. The difference is Christianity has gone through a reformation process where the church and the state have been split into separate entities. Islam has not gone through this reformation process.

You will be happy to hear Marianne, I have witnessed some small progress towards shutting down some of these groups responsible for these activities in the US at least. It still happens, a lot, but people are now more aware, and I am finally seeing people go to prison over these things instead of just mysteriously getting away with it every time.

Hey fellow Bitcoiners,

Although many of my friends told me over the years about their great times on Bitcoin Talk I never participated, as I have less experience with online forums.

Steven Zeiler here, creator of Anypay.Global and long time Bitcoin power user.

Hello. You may want to verify your identity in some way, perhaps by posting to your official Twitter account, otherwise you may be the target of hostilities from people who question your identity. Also, you may want to move this topic to "Reputation" or "Off Topic" as it doesn't exactly fit in the Politics & Society sub-forum. You can do this by clicking "move this topic" in the bottom left corner of the OP. Either way, welcome to Bitcoin Talk.

I thought I would put together a list of useful terms with definitions so that perhaps some of the new wave of Marxists by another name can maybe learn enough to have a tiny bit of self awareness. After all without self awareness you can't improve now can you?

PROJECTION
NARCISSISM
MALIGNANT NARCISSISM
COLLECTIVE NARCISSISM
ENABLING BEHAVIOR
NORMALIZATION
HYSTERIA
MASS HYSTERIA
MUNCHHAUSEN SYNDROME
MUNCHHAUSEN BY PROXY
HISTRONIC BEHAVIOR

Considering that you don’t participate in any of the above perhaps it would be more accurate to say your post was outright dishonest.

Sure, not trying to benefit from DT is what's dishonest here Smiley

Quicksy in top shape.

You benefit from filling your compulsive need to control and dictate to others. For some people that is better than money.
4970  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: April 06, 2019, 08:09:50 PM
You have to either be naive, dishonest, or both to claim that being on DT does not result on better terms for signature deals, does not allow you to trade on better terms, doesn't provide better/more business opportunities.

In the years of me being in DT it hasn't resulted in any of these things, or any other benefits. Though it doesn't surprise me that scammers like you see it that way. It's probably hard for you to imagine not being driven by "profit" or "power" or whatever else you ascribe to those forum badges.

You also do almost no trading here, so your opinion here is not exactly an informed one.

While I personally wouldn't trust Quickseller farther than I can throw him, IMO he does serve a purpose around here. While I don't condone any of his past behavior, or even like him as a human being, the scamming element was largely exaggerated simply to get him to stop being such a stalker as he was one of the earliest forms of "trust police" around here. While he certainly was dishonest, he can only be said to have gained inconsequential amounts form this duplicity indicating to me his primary goal was not theft. I think he also understands that if he were caught abusing merit he might as well be the forum leper at that point. I would say making him a merit source and keeping a close eye on him would be a reasonable thing to do and a net positive for the forum.
4973  Other / Meta / Re: DefaultTrust changes on: April 06, 2019, 04:57:57 PM
If you operate under the assumption that OgN has an overly inflated ego, or is delusional in terms of his success (I don't agree this is the case, but hypothetically...), I don't see any reason why anyone would want to harm his reputation -- if this was the case, he would do this to himself. However, OgN criticizing a certain group of powerful people does give an incentive to these people to try to discredit him to allow them to maintain power, and ultimately the income derived from said power.
I didn't realize that OgN should be treated like some saint and be beyond reproach. I thought that spot was reserved for satoshi only. Also, I must be doing it wrong since my stint of being a merit source for over a year and DT for a couple months hasn't earned me 1 satoshi.  Hence why I finally broke down and joined a signature campaign and gave up my hat avatar.  Cry

Again, Bones I don't know you you keep holding water for these people. You otherwise seem genuine and reasonable most of the time. I think you and I both know your statement is disingenuous and distorting what is actually being said here. This kind of stuff along with some of your inclusions are the only reasons you are not on my list.

Sure! Everything is a "perfect demonstration" of whatever ognasty or you say  Roll Eyes
I just posted something obvious so I really don't need "everyone listen to" me. People can read.

You both should try and come back to the real world instead of convincing each other there's a conspiracy against "the 2 only remaining successful users here". You just embarrass yourselves.

Man, that obvious sock puppet is totes making me feel marginalized right now. You know what is embarrassing? Nutless little turds like you who can't even stand by their own words so they need to use socks.
I see you're out of arguments now. Sure. Let's ignore everything because this may not be my main account  Roll Eyes
What an overwhelming (and original) reasoning  Undecided

I don't need any other arguments because by you appearing here and using your sock to take potshots you are simply reinforcing my point that people who operate openly and honestly simply have their reputations used as leverage against them by sad little turds like you who see this community as a tool of self enrichment rather than something to be protected. I am willing to back my words up with my reputation, you are here only for self enrichment and a compulsive need to control others as you hide in the shadows playing your little nutless games. You like most unscrupulous people mistake your lack of principles for being smart like you invented the lie. You aren't smart you are just willing to fuck people to serve yourself. That is the difference between you and me.

I think if he was around he’d be blamed for people losing money in free markets, called a scammer for his holdings, and would be a target for jealous individuals who were unhappy with their own lives. Pretty much the same way every other successful long term member here is treated.  Hence why we’re becoming more and more rare.
Your username really should be eGONasty.

My point exactly.
You were a "target" there for making absurd claims showing your own ego doesn't correspond with reality, not because you're a "successful long term member"

Yes, everyone listen to the obvious sock puppet of another member here without the balls to speak using their main username. This is a perfect demonstration of what he was talking about. People who operate openly and rank up in this system via time and effort are inherently targets of those who manipulate these systems for their own gain. The decent people doing things the right way then have their overt operations and effort used as leverage against them, while the abusers operate in the dark to increase their own control by displacing them. This is again why I advocate for a standard of theft, violation of contractual agreement, or violation of applicable laws before leaving negative ratings, because without objective substantiation the trust system simply becomes a tool of extortion of the few people left trying to do it the right way.

“I am going to continue to take a sledghammer to bad ideas regardless of who's feefees it hurts because the world desperately needs people like me to do so.”

WoW! (And I don’t mean wow in the happy Shibe sense) I mean “wow” you actually believe yourself?
You’ve got a lot to say about other people’s “feefees”: while you are sensitive AF.

The world doesn’t desperately need people like you, there are more than enough caustic flame wars happening on the internet right now.
No, I don’t like the way you “communicate” you just keep running your mouth (clicking away on your keyboard)

Meanwhile in the real world:
I’ll take advantage of bitcointalk’s “chill effect”.

Yes, all your ideas are valid, and all my ideas are invalid. Why? Because you have declared them so of course! Tell me sweet summer child, what am I being overly sensitive about? The fact that you rely on everything EXCEPT logical fact based arguments?

The world does need people like me, and I will tell you why. There is a reason that the saying "don't shoot the messenger" originated, because they ALWAYS shoot the the messenger when he carry's bad news. No one wants to be the one to have to stand up to speak unpopular truths because people like you, instead of having a discussion based on facts and logic resort to infantile marginalization tactics that not only prevent these difficult discussions from being had, but further create extremism by denying anyone with unpopular ideas an outlet for even being heard as this compulsive need for comfort increasingly isolates them.

People like me are important because I don't give a fuck if you like me, and as a result I will discuss ideas that upset you or anyone else as long as they have basis in logic and fact. You want to live in a world where uncomfortable discussions are never had like a small child who wants the clouds to be made of cotton candy and glaciers made of ice cream because it is what makes you feel comfortable. People have an inherent need to belong, as a result no one is willing to step up and be the messenger destined to take those shots resulting in a disgusting hive mind herd mentality where free thought no longer exists. Your opinion of me and my methods are irrelevant. What is relevant is you are not presenting a logical fact based argument either because you are incapable, or you can not control your emotional state long enough to present one.

Much like the vaccination debate itself, instead of a discussion where facts are presented and discussed it has become a focal point for ignorant and emotionally charged people to focus their discontent upon a small minority who wants nothing more than to just be left alone. You run away now, until next time when your emotion gets the best of you again and you blurt out some nonsense without backing it up, declare yourself the winner, and turn tail and run before you are exposed to the faults in your argument. Hopefully your perception of moral superiority comforts you from the bad ideas from the bad man.
