501  Economy / Exchanges / Re: eXch - instant exchange BTC / LN / XMR / LTC / ETH / ERC20 on: February 09, 2024, 06:16:06 PM
I have had a look several times at the website recently, it seems the refilling of XMR is happening frequently enough to not appear zero as much as it used to therefore that helps those that prefer to not look elsewhere.

Is there scope or plans for adding any other stable coins options to eXch in the future? DAI and USDT are available on the Ethereum blockchain but are there any plans to spread out further say to TRC-20?
502  Other / Meta / Re: Mixers to be banned on: February 09, 2024, 06:08:43 PM
There is a huge lobbying movement in the US which is pushing the agenda forward on matters that are beneficial to those that donate to senators. If someone gave a bundle of cash as a bribe to a senator to ask questions in congress or put forward their agenda it might be considered illegal but if it is a legal declared donation and then the very same thing happen it is acceptable and legally allowed. Strange.

In the case of banks and other big businesses including fossil fuel benefactors, they have a massive lobbying machine behind them and many in congress benefit from their donations.

Mixers are banned because criminals are using them so far we have not heard the news that privacy coins are being used to launder money because privacy coins lacks liquidity, they are not as liquid as Bitcoin, and criminals mainly use Bitcoin as and platform where they can conceal their identity.
If anything, it makes more sense to say that privacy coins are used for money laundering rather than bitcoin mixers are used for it. There are many articles that talk about Monero and money laundering but you hear mostly Bitcoin because it's a mainstream currency and media will attract attention with talking more about Bitcoin.
By the way, criminals not only launder money via mixers but via banks too. JP Morgan is the best destination for money laundering but no one bans them or talks about them.
503  Other / Meta / Re: If I'm Satoshi Nakamoto How do I prove it? on: February 03, 2024, 08:27:41 PM
I think it is widely accepted no matter the evidence someone would present in the future to support their case for being Satoshi Nakamoto, it will not be believed because known addresses can be signed but they can also be compromised too (just as the GMX email address). Also, it is widely accepted Satoshi was more likely a group rather than an individual therefore proving anything will be extremely problematic.

Besides opening one of the wallets.
Aside from just saying I am like Craig Wright.
Would an original Whitepaper doc be sufficient or do you think that there would still be critics? I know there would still be critics, Im just asking what do all of you folks think?
If Satoshi can produce such a document would it harm the value of BTC or increase said value?
I personally don't think it matters much, but I've never been the type to make a big deal of anything.  If Satoshi was to come out of the darkness and into the light what would it matter?
Please refrain from any form of free speech that offends anyone on here.  Lol BTC
504  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK 17th FEBRUARY 2024 on: February 03, 2024, 08:22:23 PM
There is no doubt about it, that was a nasty cut. After reviewing the video several times it does show Fury took a hit from the elbow of the sparring partner and it was unfortunate his headgear was probably just a fraction elevated at the time of impact. Fury and Usyk still have a two fight contract but there is always a danger their deal/contract could be put aside if Usyk (however unlikely) manages to lose his fight if he fights on 17th February.

18th May 2024 is the new date for the Fury vs Usyk unification fight

Whether it was caused by an elbow hit or head butt, it was a nasty one. Just unfortunate news for us boxing lovers who have waited for this fight to happen for months but suddenly got postponed. They should be careful enough for this kind of incident to not happen again because they have a contract to fulfill.
505  Other / Meta / Re: [BAN]: Hacker1001101001 on: February 03, 2024, 06:23:32 PM
2FA account protection is a thing here in this forum since theymos posted the announcement on evening of 2023-12-21. Sure, you might have missed that announcement but you should have seen the option to setup 2FA on the password change page when it was actually you who changed your password.

When you have a suspicion or signs that your account got hacked, why not bother to activate 2FA? How does your story add up here?
I wonder how many members have taken up the 2FA factor option. Though it might be impossible to ascertain how many hack attempts have been foiled as a result of members implementing the 2FA option, the actual number of members that have used the option (including those that might have reverted) should be available to theymos and it would be interesting to know the numbers involved.

... and for spreading phishing links through PMs (while inactive).  Cheesy
That's how DTs make up there mind really, nice league you follow there.

Excuse me? What exactly are you accusing me of here? Can you be more specific? Did I say something untrue?

If the forum staff says that your account was used to send DMs with phishing links, I have no reason not to believe that information. And, considering your trust score, I have no reason to take your word at face value.
That is one of the problems, after a recent thread was created related to alleged hacked accounts asking for loans, there is no way to know if any of those (or this) hack actually happened. If members keep posting they should not receive bans because their account was hacked then that trend will continue until/unless something changes.

The member with a dubious account that recently asked for a loan and deleted the request citing his account was hacked (at least that is what happened if memory serves correct), is another example. I certainly do not believe the drama when by far the majority (if not all) claim their account was hacked and they did not ask for a loan and/or they did not send the phishing links but every member will come to their own conclusions.
506  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK 17th FEBRUARY 2024 on: February 02, 2024, 11:37:44 PM
In that video it is clear Fury was hit by the elbow and he is fortunate it was above the eye and not on the eye itself. If it were to be stitched up and then Fury were to face Usyk before it healed, it goes without say that Usyk (or any other opponent) would definitely exploit the wound by trying to poke and jab at it in the hope the referee would stop the fight early-on.

Usyk will have to put all this behind him and try to focus on fighting the candidate put forward but the IBO have stated Hrgovic is their mandatory choice. Usylk will now have to focus on the next opponent instead of Fury and it will not be an easy fight as his tactics will change. If Usyk does end up fighting Hrgovic it will be a difficult fight because Hrgovic has won all 17 of his professional fights, 14 by knockout.

There is leaked footage showing Fury getting hit by an elbow in sparring.
https://talksport.com/sport/1735523/leaked-footage-tyson-fury-cut-sparring-elbow-oleksandr-usyk/

The cut is in the same place where Fury was badly cut against Otto Wallin and which has been reopened in other fights. Fury’s susceptibility to getting cut has been one of his weaknesses and is something Usyk can take advantage of.

Usyk still plans to go ahead and defend his titles on February 17. Filip Hrgović, who has been the IBF mandatory since 2022 when he beat Zhilei Zhang, is being considered as a replacement opponent. Hrgović is a good fighter who would be a tough opponent, but two weeks doesn’t seem like enough time to prepare for someone of Usyk’s caliber.
507  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: 1xbit refuse to send me back my deposits on: February 02, 2024, 08:58:14 PM
As several members have already stated, it is very unfortunate but there is no chance of you ever getting your deposits returned because the 1xbit/1xbit1 websites have a long list of allegations against them. Some time ago they started operating signature campaigns as a means to try to portray themselves as a legitimate entity but the scam allegations were never resolved and they eventually gave up on using this forum for promoting their business.

If you had taken a few minutes to investigate before sending any funds, you probably would have found at last one link that highlighted 1xbit/1xbit1 were widely acknowledged as being scammers and could not be trusted. Unfortunately, no matter what happens now (and no matter who intervenes), they will never pay out any funds. This is a case where applying due-diligence would have saved you going through the stress you are facing now.

Please please please help me to get back my deposit money  Sad((
508  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK 17th FEBRUARY 2024 on: February 02, 2024, 06:18:53 PM
Well, that did not come as a complete surprise to those that could not explain why they felt something did not sound right about the fight. I have to say it seems very strange for Fury to have got that cut as a result of sparring. Surely he would have kept his head protective gear on while he was sparring in the ring. The cut is a bad one but the circumstances surrounding it are simply bizarre.

There seems to be a bruise surrounding the cut therefore maybe it was an unfortunate clash of heads of heads that did it, we do not know.

509  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2023/2024 on: February 02, 2024, 04:27:20 PM
These are the games being played tomorrow Saturday 2nd February 2024:

Everton vs Tottenham Hotspur
Brighton and Hove Albion vs Crystal Palace
Burnley vs Fulham
Newcastle United vs Luton Town
Sheffield United vs Aston Villa

However unlike it might be, does anybody think both Luton Town and Sheffield United will win their games? I believe they both have a very good opportunity to get maximum points.

These are the results from the games played yesterday:

West Ham United 1-1 Bournemouth
Wolverhampton Wanderers 3-4 Manchester United

West Ham United had a difficult home game with Bournemouth but salvaged a draw after being 0-1 down. Manchester United scored a 97th minute winner after Wolves scored a 95th minute equaliser. That was a good game to watch for the seven goals but the points have taken Manchester United to 7th in the Premier League table with 35 points but they remain 8 points away from an automatic Champions League position.
510  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Shffle has locked my account and is not allowing me to withdraw the 0.12 ETH on: February 02, 2024, 04:15:42 PM
I suppose even if there were other compelling factors that could prove beyond doubt or conclusively that the other 14 accounts were not associated with the OP, he himself has admitted/acknowledged using a VPN. If that is something Shuffle are willing to cite as one of the reasons to take action against the OP he cannot really complain about that.

Since the amount is tiny but Shuffle still made an example of the OP, it seems clear this is about matters of principle on their part. If their terms of service have been broken they do have a right to take action against anybody trying to manipulate the system. I doubt CasinoGuru will help but if he did pursue it, it would  be interesting to see how their arbitration concludes the matter.

Hello, I only use a phone and a computer. Whether the IPs are the same, I might not be able to know because I use a VPN. Then, the same betting pattern; what do you mean by "same"? If my betting is similar to another player, is that not allowed? If you believe I am cheating in my betting, please state it directly instead of accusing me with such a baseless excuse. Also, you're suggesting that the identity I registered is not genuine? Why are you claiming my identity is not real without even verifying it? I believe there are many shortcomings in how you handle these issues.

Even if we suppose you only have one account and the other 14 are not yours, there is still a term being breached: using VPN. And I somewhat doubt that their findings of those connected accounts are baseless and wrong, they tied the IP with device fingerprints, I think they're quite thorough with the investigation.

You can try to escalate this to CasinoGuru or other mediator where Shuffle can share their findings in private, thus validating it, but that'll be just a waste of time if their claim is true and you tried to cheat them, CG's representative can and will verify those findings and ruled in favor of the casino.
511  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fixedfloat is scamming me for 8000+ EUR IMPORTANT PSA! on: February 02, 2024, 03:52:45 PM
The Fixedfloat forum representative have taken themselves out of the thread and that is disappointing. It seems they have not posted since 29th January.

Under normal circumstances, if there were serious allegations against them they should have mounted a full defence to protect their reputation but the way they have handled the whole issue they have made it clear they were not interested in giving it the focus it deserved. In the process they left their reputation in tatters.

It does seem (just as the OP stated later) Fixedfloat are going through the KYC process as a form of revenge. As far as I am concerned they will not release the funds to the OP regardless of the explanation given or KYC/AML documents provided.
512  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ English Premier League Season: 2023/2024 on: January 31, 2024, 11:00:40 PM

513  Other / Meta / Re: [BAN]: Hacker1001101001 on: January 31, 2024, 09:58:17 PM
There is always the possibility he is telling the truth about his account either getting hacked or being used without his consent but only he can explain why he is trying to save the banned account when the account served no purpose. He is not exactly a prominent, overtly-liked or trustworthy member of the forum that he would be logging in to read and reply to a litany of PMs therefore why he was logging in to the (now banned) account regularly but was not posting remains a point of speculation.

As the OP will not be able to prove the account was hacked and I find the story hard to believe since it is regarding the "hacker1001101001" account:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1021758
I agree. Sounds like a made up story. The account has multiple negatives and was abandoned for years. So, why the sudden interest?
514  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: [ POLL ] The Unification Fight: FURY vs USYK 17th FEBRUARY 2024 on: January 31, 2024, 09:31:12 PM
At least you are finally convinced that the unification bout is going ahead as planned. I was always fairly certain it would not be postponed but as we approach closer to fight night I am beginning to have suspicions that something does not seem right. Well, when boxers start turning in to movie stars and animated gigantic alter-egos, it is one way to attract attention. I guess there is no further need to try to hype the fight after that strange attempt at promotion Grin

So they finally posted the fight trailer and it's even more epic than the Fury/Ngannou and AJ/Wallin ones: https://youtu.be/uw-c-J90_ZE?si=Bx5Hu30z2poHon8o

At least they're starting the promo now. If it had've got to Feb with nothing I would have assumed it wasn't going to happen.

As the OP will not be able to prove the account was hacked and I find the story hard to believe since it is regarding the "hacker1001101001" account:
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1021758

The last post made by the account was in June 2022 therefore it is not as though he has been contributing to the forum and as a result the account will be missed: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=profile;u=1021758;sa=showPosts

He regularly logged in to the account but did not post, one can only draw their own conclusions why someone would do that but keeping that aside let us also not forget the account in question has multiple negative tags: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?action=trust;u=1021758

It has been 19-20 months since his last post here using the hacker1001101001 account therefore why bother appealing the ban regardless of the reason the account was banned? Since it brought nothing constructive to the forum it would be preferred if the account remained banned.

If we entertain the possibility that your account got hacked and you're not the one sending those PM, wouldn't the content of the PM itself no longer relevant and won't help with your situation, as your primary goal here now will be to prove that you got hacked?
516  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fixedfloat is scamming me for 8000+ EUR IMPORTANT PSA! on: January 30, 2024, 02:17:12 PM
I think the distinction has been made between the fact the OP had his funds unfairly frozen under the most dubious of excuses by Fixedfloat against the fact he seems to have received a generous payment for the website from his client. At worst case scenario, if the OP did not make the website or if there was something else going on, it still did not make it right for Fixedfloat to steal the funds.

Fixedfloat has to take measures now to repair the damage otherwise their reputation will never recover.

Fwiw, 8k for a website he coded from scratch isn't unbelievable depending on the type of website he worked on. I know for a fact that websites can go for as much as a million dollars depending on the complexity of the project. We are missing the point here, I don't think it matters why he got the 8k and what it was for, what matters is that Fixedfloat froze the poor mans funds and isn't returning them back like they should do.
517  Other / Meta / Re: Should bitcointalk ban promotion of other forums? on: January 29, 2024, 05:15:55 PM
If other forums you are registered with do not allow the mention of Bitcointalk (other forums), it is a strange way to enforce censorship. Forums are a mechanism to have discussion about many topics but to ban a name because it is viewed as a competitor seems strange. What would it achieve by banning the promotion (or general discussion) of other forums? Can you name the forums you refer to as competing forums?

I have seen that this forum does not consider it inappropriate when some member makes a post or thread about a competing forum. I am a member of other popular forums and they do not allow mention of competing forums as it is free advertising for them.

What is the opinion of members about this? Is it fine allowing members here to promote or mention competing forums without paying this forum owner or taking his permission  ?
518  Other / Meta / Re: Email used to create this forum? on: January 29, 2024, 11:07:58 AM
Does anyone know what email was used to create this forum?  BTC
theymos would know. Why do you want to know?

Satoshi did not post on this forum. The forum was part of SourceForge before it changed to forum.bitcoin.org/XXX and then https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=XXX

Which forum do you mean?
Maybe I am misreading the way you articulated your point but I believe it was common knowledge that Satoshi posted in the forum after transferring it here from SourceForge. There are many posts from Satoshi that were made directly here and the post history (with date/time stamps) show that to be the case.
519  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fixedfloat is scamming me for 8000+ EUR IMPORTANT PSA! on: January 29, 2024, 10:50:15 AM
You have not received any request or notice from any law enforcement agency yet you have confiscated the funds because maybe someone 18 months from now will request it? Can you understand how ridiculous that sounds?

You are never going to be asked to pay any fine from  any law enforcement agency because you are not registered in any jurisdiction, you remain anonymous. Why are you conducting KYC on the customer of the OP if the funds are allegedly stolen and you will not return them regardless?

Anyone has the opportunity to apply to law enforcement agencies with a statement on the retention of funds. We respond to all requests from law enforcement agencies and provide a detailed answer about the reasons for the freezing of funds.

In the practice of cryptocurrency services, there are cases when even projects with mandatory KYC were recognized as accomplices to crimes and were subjected to at least fines, and at most sanctions, which in principle means the complete closure of the project. We are not interested in this, so we are ready to protect our own interests, trying to continue to provide the same level of quality services to our customers.

520  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Fixedfloat is scamming me for 8000+ EUR IMPORTANT PSA! on: January 28, 2024, 10:55:20 PM
They stated in an earlier post they do not operate a KYC policy. If your customer is undergoing KYC with them, they will still never release the funds unless they ask you for your ID too.

What I do not understand is why would you or your customer go through a KYC procedure with an anonymous exchange that you do not even know where it is based, where their head office is located and the name of any person you can serve legal papers on? Why give them private details such as ID documents when they could easily sell them on to criminals (or use them themselves for criminal activity)?

The other question that comes to mind is the obvious one: if they claim the funds originated from criminal activity, they will never release the funds regardless of what KYC is followed. I agree, they are putting you through this to punish you for bringing their shameful conduct to our attention.

After everything they are asking my customer to undergo KYC procedure which he AGREED ON now watch them ask him his mother birth certificate to be sure that he is born and it's not alien just to not release my money guys after sending so much evidences they are doing this just to let you know guys what they are doing watch this case extremely close they are doing revenge for us whistleblowing on their company
