Come to talk of it sef how them take dey get our information Dem?
E get some platforms wey dey sell people's data in the darknet marketplace, but the most popular one be say so many of these platforms wey dey collect people's data no get strong security, so dem dey hack them wella, so when scammers hack them, these scammers go come dey sell this data in the darknet. Na so identity theft they work, before you know, scammer don use person data take create account controlled by them and dem go fit use am for illicit purposes.

It's hard to accept that Manchester City dropped points against weaker opponents. They shouldn't be losing points in these types of games, especially considering the quality of their squad. City is going through a challenging period, but sometimes things can turn around unexpectedly. They have to bounce back, as other contenders maintaining their winning streaks.
I don't know what's going on with City, but they are not their usual self this season, they are conceding too many goals, too slow in attack and they don't finish teams off. The gap between City and their fellow title contenders continues to get wider and even if we know City can go on long winning runs, it might not be the case this season, before Pep and his City side return from the World club cup, they might be many points off the top of the table. Pep has to fix this and very quickly as well if they are going to win their fourth EPL title in a row.
523  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Why most beginners so much believe bitcoin can make rich on: December 17, 2023, 03:08:54 PM
Na for the same reason wey e be say once you tell person say you get Bitcoin, the person go immediately think say you dey rich, many people erroneously think say Bitcoin na ticket to wealth, i know say Bitcoin price dey pump oh, especially in the long run, but before you go even earn better ROI from Bitcoin, you go gats invest a lot of money into it, you no fit just put small money, come dey expect to get rich through it, and for underdeveloped country like ours, how many people get the money to invest, without investing more than they can afford to lose. Another thing be say many people no sabi how to keep their assets secure, so dem go even lose am before them go fit make ROI from Bitcoin.
524  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Secure your crypto wealth by not having it all in crypto on: December 17, 2023, 02:41:10 PM
Yeah, crypto is pretty risky, and even riskier for people who do not know how to safely hodl their assets and the coins to buy, the thing is, quite a lot of people only think about the ROI they can make through crypto when they buy it, they do not care to think about how to ensure that they do not lose it. Of course it is bad to put 100% of your money into one asset/investment, if anything happens to that asset, you are going to lose everything.

Having said that, diversification should be in assets that are not intrinsically connected, if you buy Bitcoin, then buy gold and real estate, do not buy Bitcoin and then go ahead and buy only altcoins and think that you have diversified your assets.
525  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Why does the halving increase the price? on: December 17, 2023, 01:25:33 PM
- Why would people invest loads of money in BTC after the halving and not before?
I cannot tell exactly why people do what they do, but i think people buy Bitcoin after the halving and when the price begins to rise, because they prefer to buy assets that are rising, so they can make profits immediately and sell. The people who buy in this way do not really believe in Bitcoin and they do not want to hodl it, but they basically just want to earn ROI in the short term.

What is a good price range for an air gapped wallet, for someone who only manages 0.3 BTC?
This amount is more than enough to have an air-gapped or hardware wallet, and as for an air-gapped wallet you do not even have to spend money to get one, you can create one for yourself with some of your old devices.

The bigger question will be if the saudi league wants him; because definitely MUFC will be loooking to replace him by next summer
Of course if Casemiro is open to a move to Saudi, one of their clubs would sign him, he might even join his former Real Madrid and Manchester United teammate Ronaldo in Al Nassr. United would also be happy to sell him to Saudi if they decide to sell him, and that is because they will get a bigger offer from a Saudi team than from a club in Europe. United's £70m investment on Casemiro hasn't really been a success, i questioned the move from the beginning because of the age of the Brazillian, but it is what it is, and i think they have to sell him, cut their losses and buy a younger defensive midfielder.
527  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Avoid paying high fees by Making fewer transactions advice newbie on: December 15, 2023, 08:42:32 PM
the advice is make no transactions and keep holding since the goals are for long term accumulation so that that to be achieved there is need for patient and resilience, by saving up with no transaction record.
You're here telling people not to spend Bitcoin as an advise to help with high transaction fees, that's ridiculous. Bitcoin is money and people want to spend it, they want to use Bitcoin to pay for a commodity and other stuffs, because it is fungible. If you want to advise people on how to minimize the cost of making transactions, then you should be telling them to consolidate their inputs when fees are lower, they should use free transaction accelerators and they should also use coin control to reduce the inputs that would be used in a transaction.

Tottenham was back to their winning ways with a home win against Newcastle United in the Premier League. I think Tottenham will beat Nottingham Forest today, to keep the Premier League top-four hope alive.
Spurs would eagerly want to make it two consecutive victories after initially going five games without a win, their latest victory against Newcastle was convincing, but they now have to be consistent to win again and try to go on a winning run. It is not going to be an easy game to win, especially as Forest is at home, both Steve and Ange would be desperate for the win, but my prediction is that the game is going to end in a draw, i can't see a winner in this one.
529  Local / Nigeria (Naija) / Re: Why KYC dey extremely dangerous – and usesless on: December 15, 2023, 11:59:49 AM
You go fit avoid KYC thru P2P trades. Binance na one of de most popular for we country and na more of a centralized P2P trade dem dey do. I no do KYC deir, I only verified my email address wen I open de account and wetin I dey use most times. Also, you go fit use DEX like Bisq exchange, but just as Amphenomenon yan, e dey only supported on desktop.
Binance no be peer to peer exchange na, you go gats give Binance all your personal information before you go fit trade for their platform, if person dey find exchanges wey no dey collect person data, na for here wey the person go find them: https://kycnot.me/

Having said that, your translated thread no dey bad, even though i no dey too like translated threads because i know say all of us understands English and we go fit read and understand the original thread wey dey written in English, nonetheless well done brother.

Casemiro is said to be a target by PSG and Al-Hilal now. You know he has been quite far away from his old performances recently. This is why Manchester United are said to be thinking of parting ways with him. His time with injury didn't end up well for him. He is still a quality player but he needs to improve his effort much more than this.
Casemiro would likely leave Manchester United, but i don't think it can be to PSG. I found it weird when United paid £70m for a player of his age, there is no doubting his quality, but when a player is already above 30, he should not cost as much as that, except it is a Saudi club that is doing the signing, lol.

PSG are looking for younger players, especially from France, that is the direction the club has decided to take, they no longer want to sign only big stars, but they want to nurture young talents, if Casemiro leaves United, Saudi Arabia would be a more likely destination that the French champions.
531  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 15, 2023, 03:22:37 AM
Today's match is expected to be a tough challenge for Nottingham Forest, as Tottenham Hotspur have been in good form lately.
Spurs have not been in good form lately, they recently just went 5 games without a win, losing 4 and drawing 1, but they broke that terrible run in their last game against Newcastle as they came out with a comfortable 4-1 victory, i don't know if that victory would spark another good run for them, like the one they had in the beginning of the season, but we'll find out if they can beat Nottingham Forest and how things pan out for them from there.

Forest are in 16th position with 14 points, i don't understand why Steve Cooper's job should be on the line, they are not in the relegation zone, i know they are not very far away from it, but with the quality of players they have, what position does the hierarchy at the club expect them to be in. The club is stable with Steve in charge, and making any managerial change now would be insane imo.
532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: December 15, 2023, 02:48:09 AM
They finished top of the table, which means they won’t be facing clubs like Real Madrid Bayern Munich, Manchester City and other teams who also finished top in their own group. They will most likely be facing the second place teams. This is the only advantage they have going for them right now.
Well even if Arsenal finished second, they can't face Manchester City in the RO16, a club cannot play another club from the same country in the CL RO16, but from the QF stage, a club can now face any other club at all, even from the same country as them. Having said that, it is good for Arsenal that they could finish first, they'll not play the big teams from other countries that also finished first. Anyway, i don't think it is possible for Arsenal to win the CL this season, but i expect them to go as far as the QF or maybe even the semifinal.
533  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: December 14, 2023, 08:42:56 PM
Occupying the bottom position is incredibly embarrassing, and even losing to an underdog team is evidence that their quality is not yet reliable enough to be champions. So, I consider Manchester United's loss in the UCL as the right way to deliver a clear message to the Glazer family that MU is currently in a bad state.
Everyone knows that Manchester United is in a bad situation, the players, their manager and the hierarchy at the club knows this and they have to go back to the drawing board to solve some of their problems. I know that so many Manchester United fans will prolly think their problem stems from the Glazers, and even if they might be correct to an extent, i think the manager and the players are also culpable for their present predicament.

Manchester United deserve to be eliminated and they got what they deserved, there is also a very high chance that they would not be in the CL next season, because i doubt if United would finish in the top four at the end of this season.
534  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin as payment option for clients on: December 14, 2023, 08:16:28 PM
The bitcoin network uses the blockchain technology to perform all of it transactions operations,
The blockchain is a public ledger for the network, that is where all transactions that has been made in the past and will be made in the future are stored, the Bitcoin network doesn't "perform" transactions, it is the users of the network who make transactions using their own wallets.
Use Electrum wallet, it's a multisig bitcoin wallet, has an extended security measures.
Electrum is not a multisignature wallet, but you can create a multisignature wallet in electrum, just the same way you can create a 2fa or single signature wallet.
535  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: P2P Dusting Attack And How Not to Become a Victim on: December 14, 2023, 06:16:15 PM
And concerning wallets with such feature that filters dust coins transactions, I wouldn't mind if you recommend a good one to me. Thank you in advance.
You cannot prevent your wallet from receiving coins, you can manually check your addresses for dust UTXO's and you can also use coin control or address freeze if you want to avoid spending dust UTXO's, but like i said you can't stop it from entering your wallet.

Having said that, you guys are making a mountain of a molehill, there is actually no need to worry about this thing, it is so so so unimportant. You should be looking for good, open source and non-custodial wallets.
536  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: UEFA Champions League 2023/24 Season on: December 13, 2023, 01:04:48 AM
Of course United also didn't perform at a level necessary to survive in a European competition, that's why they can only blame themselves for this.
And not just in the game against Bayern Munich tonight, but throughout the group stage, they got what their performance deserved and that is elimination from Europe. They were officially eliminated tonight, but they were already eliminated when they couldn't beat Galatasaray and Copenhagen in both legs, they won just one match in the group stage, the stats are appalling to look at and United have to go back to the drawing board.

Having said that, the underdog in group A qualified for the RO16, i was rooting for Copenhagen because everybody thought they were definitely going to be eliminated once the draw was made, but they have battled through a very tough group and they earned their ticket to the RO16.

The weird news about Tottenham and the player their player is about Destiny Udogie. Since Destiny Udogie had a perfect performance in Totenham they showed too much interest in this player and that's why Destiny Udogie extended his contract with Totenham for a long time.
What is weird about that, Destiny Udogie has been quite impressive for Spurs this season, what i like about him is that despite the fact that he plays at left back, he stills comes into the midfield and gets himself in really advanced positions, that was why he was able to get that important goal against Newcastle last weekend. It is great news for Spurs that he has extended his contract, he is just 21 years of age and so he will be at their service for quite a long time should he stay in the club.
538  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Exchange withdrawal issues on: December 12, 2023, 09:04:45 PM
I feel sad that your funds are locked there for months for no reason, but you should contact the team to unlock the funds maybe they might give you some way to do it, but for that the exchange must have to be a legit one otherwise its sad to say but your funds must be gone.
OP's funds isn't locked for months, it is lost for good; and any more money they deposit into that scam exchange is gone. Contacting the scam team would lead to them requesting that OP pays some money for whatever flimsy reason they can come up with, so they would be able to unlock the funds, if OP falls for that too, then that money is also gone. It is sad that people like OP come here only after they have fucked up and not before, OP should never visit that website again and start doing their research before using wallets, exchanges and other whatnots.
539  Local / Politics and society (Naija) / Re: Make we keep our pigin unique on: December 12, 2023, 08:13:57 PM
Also remember that not everyone here is  a good grammatical speaker thus making pigin easier for them.
It doesn't really matter, your English doesn't have to be impeccable, even when you are communicating in the English sections of the forum, the thing is, whatever you say should be understandable, and it is quite easy to do that; you don't have to worry about the syntax, just covey your message in a way that everyone would understand.

Having said that, i don't have a problem communicating in the two accepted languages in this local board (English and Pidgin), right now i am using English, another time it is pidgin, it basically depends on my mood and what i want to say. I think we've had enough discussions on the language of use in this our local board, let's move on.
