Bitcoin: A Trojan Horse for CBDCs

Lynette Zang, Founder & CEO of Zang Enterprises thinks Bitcoin is the Trojan Horse and said that it wasn't a coincidence that it came out in January of 2009 when QE started in March. And because of the timing of when it came out which was after the 2008 financial crisis, she suspects the NSA has something to do with this.
their conversation led Michelle Makori to be neutral in her view but would like to present a panel to debate with Zang about this.

here's one question that pops up in their discussion.
do you agree with what Zang is saying that because Bitcoin was brought into the traditional system through ETFs mean Bitcoin is not outside the system?
522  Local / Pilipinas / Re:Crypto Taxation on: March 22, 2024, 07:36:55 PM

523  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: dogecoin futures market to launch on Coinbase on: March 22, 2024, 06:45:21 PM
This does not look like an April Fools prank. They announced the futures not only for DOGE but also for LTC and BCH. Et voilà ... see the CFTC website:

It seems thus they're already approved by the CFTC, or at least there are no objections. For DOGE it's perhaps a bigger milestone as for the other two coins, because there are already some regulated LTC financial products (in the US and in Europe), and there's also a BCH Trust on Grayscale.

it's verified and it's not just these 3 coins too. took them so long though since binance had it for a long time. but it would be good to have their CFTC approve it and coinbase is the most popular in US. i think more people will not look at doge as a joke anymore and probably the next thing to look forward to is the ETFs of these coins.
524  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why not try out a less popular but promising token? on: March 22, 2024, 06:17:27 PM
Trying out new, unknown, less popular tokens is actually a really good idea. The big value is in low - mid cap coins/tokens that haven’t exploded yet. Sure you will hit a good amount of total rugpulls & scams but you only need one absolute moon bound one to get rich.

its only good if it's pumping in the bull market. there are memecoins that are doing something like this but i would certainly be selling them when the ATH is achieved. there is no good thing to happen when it's less known to crypto.

everybody wants to ride the pump in the bull run though so their strategy is just to keep looking for promising pumped coins, not even a promising coin but something that can generate big profit when it starts shooting to the moon.
525  Economy / Economics / Re: Ignore Financial accountability to your detriment on: March 21, 2024, 07:28:41 PM
When you see a rich man who suddenly becomes poor or an average man who never grew above his current financial state, it's basically because they possibly weren't accountable for the money that was coming into their hands.
It is not just this, there are many reasons why a rich person can suddenly become poor sometimes it is also as a result of poor investment decisions. If you make poor investment decisions even with your accountability, it is capable of making you broke and that is a mistake that some rich may make in trying to get more money and cement their status as wealthy, they may rush into making poor investment decisions that may have bad consequences for them.

Being financially accountable entails that you delegate what your income would be used for and ensure you follow it up to the latter.
In a country where there's a very poor economy, it is difficult to practice financial accountability especially when you have relations, loved ones and close family members depending on you for financial assistance. This is a challenge some of us face.

the dependents should have been helping the person they depend on as well. it's harder to be financially stable when there are people always waiting for your help and you will be dragged along when they are not helping themselves. financial accountability is too broad and teaching them to be independent is part of it. if you keep them dependent on you, it will be a bigger problem when they are used to it.

in some cultures, the wife manages the finances and the husband is just there to talk about priorities but its the partner's accountability and decision.
526  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / dogecoin futures market to launch on Coinbase on: March 21, 2024, 05:55:00 PM

Crypto exchange Coinbase has announced plans to launch futures trading for Dogecoin, Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash as soon as April 1.
https://cointelegraph.com/news/coinbase-crypto-exchange-launch-dogecoin-litecoin-bitcoin-cash-futures-april

could just be a great April Fools prank?
along with the Dogecoin futures are Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash. coinbase will launch these derivatives even without CFTC's prior approval. to da moon!
527  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A weird interview on: March 21, 2024, 05:30:45 PM
i don't think it's weird. while most lunatics will ask for porn magazines, a crypto investor most likely will want to know BTC price. but seeing you have been forbidden to go to the internet for whatever reason, i guess it would make sense to just watch the news inside. a TV would be great. i'm sure they allow prisoners to watch the news.

by 10 years BTC will be mainstream, they'd sure flash prices like the forex rates.

528  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are memecoins really important for the crypto market? on: March 21, 2024, 03:36:33 PM
And this same reasons you pointed out i exactly why a lit of them end up as failures, they are just fun fare tokens created to do what full the space, don't get me wrong I'm not against them but I hate when things get abused which in the crypto space we see a lot of those, scammers easily use memeckims to steal funds cause they dint need any complex whitepaper and their audience are those looking for huge gains which are those that
 invest in meme coins .

The only reason why memecoin are gaining ground is cause many investors haven't gotten wisdom that bitcoin is better than all the shotcoins put together and its better to own bitcoin than invest or gamble around with memecoins.

Absolutely correct mate, the reasons we have more of scammers in memecoin is because we have more of Investors looking for a way to make huge profits within a short period of time. Most of these investors lack patience and have greed that why they end up in shitcoins. And newbies also make the mistake of entering into a project because of hypes from social Media and crypto influencers without them looking deep into the coin. There is no doubt that Bitcoin is the best coin in the network, it's reputable, and trustworthy. If you have patience enough, you'll benefit from Bitcoin investment.

memecoins are for fun. it's supposed to make regular people come into crypto by having meme fun. of course they are scams but it helps spread the word. but its how important its role is in crypto market.

some lose their money and some win big which is kind of cruel when the bear market makes them cry.
anyway, this is how it would look like when you lose all your money on memecoins and have to get a job:

529  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you this the current correction was local bottom price for alts? on: March 21, 2024, 03:19:09 PM

i think this is the last chance for anyone who hasn't bought it yet. the market sometimes shows its mercy by being cruel to the weak hands. somebody sold lots of their SOL below 180USD. there are hundreds more of the altcoins that haven't gone up too well. we may never see the same price again even after this bull market. the adoption today is not the kind of adoption we have back in 2020.
530  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bothered about every DIP? It's just a mental check. on: March 20, 2024, 07:00:06 PM
i was bothered for awhile. its not he first time i am wrong with my analysis as i thought the dip would just be on 65k actually so I was just feeling very positive that it would bounce quickly so I didn't sell. it's too late for me to sell so I was just holding them since i was expecting more profit after halving.

as of the time of writing its already back tp $65k. this could be the bounce I'm looking for and my altcoins are back to green again.
531  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Selling NFTs...Where to start? on: March 20, 2024, 05:47:13 PM
Let's say I've created some NFTs and I want to sell them on any of the NFT marketplaces available. How do I know which marketplace is the most popular? And how do I attract sales? Also, which Blockchain has the highest NFT trading volume? If I launch my own NFTs (digital art) it would be on either Polygon or Solana chains.

Any suggestions and/or recommendations would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Smiley

Opensea is the oldest NFT marketplace. Prefer polygon network as the listing fees is zero. So you do not need to make any upfront payment. If you are serious about selling NFTs, you need to invest in marketing heavily. Otherwise your NFTs will remain unsold like millions of other NFTs in the market.

Honestly, NFT is a dead thing. If you want to experiment, go ahead. But don't have high hope.

that's how I see it as well. there are not many people interested in buying some overpriced JPG but if he has some special art he created himself i think one can sell it. it just needs to be very special.

i wanted to create something like this for a long time but i would prefer to create NFTs when the value of ETH goes way higher that i can only pay a few gwei.
how do you market an NFT if you are to sell?
532  Economy / Economics / Re: Everything is over priced but people keep spending on: March 20, 2024, 05:11:07 PM
The cost of things has gone up so much so that it's glaring. Imagine paying 5-12$ for an average meal you could get before for 3$. The jump cost is extremely high. Cooking a meal at home can cost you the same amount you would spend on eating in a restaurant. Funny enough people still afford all these things without complaining. My anger is that we make money to spend it all into our normal life expenses. It's difficult now to save or invest unless you part of the rich people in society. An average man has to just eat, pay bills, and survive.

to get out of there, level up your skills, look for a side job, save 80% of your salary to invest and reduce useless expenses, avoid debt because if we just work and the money just runs out then we will work forever

saving 80% is too hard to do for someone who has a family to feed. but it would help if they are just saving for now to materialize a small business that sure will work. i have seen people who are growing chickens in their backyard and selling the eggs in the neighborhood already. it's quite effective for the couple I knew. it's a business that will also feed them which is very much a saver.

investing would be good if they have the knowledge like in crypto but regular people these days find it hard to learn new skills.  too much entertainment in their blood watching tiktok.
533  Economy / Economics / Re: The Prices of Labour. on: March 20, 2024, 04:47:47 PM

people have money, their wants are bought, not just their needs. if they prioritized their wants, it's those luxurious cars they display in their garage.

people wanna show off their success with the car they own. but just like frank said, we don't know how much debt they have. there wouldn't be rest for those who are just showing off but the ones who can sleep well without worries are the ones who doesn't have debts and are just using the most basic Toyota car.
534  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Best memecoin in 2024 on: March 20, 2024, 04:18:04 PM
^  Even tho the 'devs' sold some tokens from what was supposed to be for community endeavors and onboarding, I think PEPE will continue to grow and get more clout.  The 'Elon Meta' is also still in play so GROK will def ne higher than whereit is now...  DOGE and with it SHIB and FLOKI will trend up too in a full on bull market.  Just wait for Elon Musk to start tweeting about it.  Grin  Memecoins in Solana are in play too giving 10x's like it was nothing...  So yeah, all the coins you mentioned.  Lolol.

Here's the thing about memecoins...  They're somewhat metrics for where the next rotation is.  So if there's a lot of memecoin action in some chain starting, it's prolly because it's the 'hot' chain.  And right now it's Solana.

yep it's time for the memecoins in SOL and this is probably because SOL is also soaring high. we could expect other memecoins from other L1 projects once their token is also trending up.

it will be surprising to see unknown memecoins emerge to the top 50 when memecoins on TRON comes out. i haven't really seen one on TRON. but there's more on ERC.
535  Economy / Reputation / Re: Anonymity of Bitcointalk forum members on: March 19, 2024, 06:17:59 PM
Hmmm! Meaning everyone's activities here is under watch right? That's interesting and would even make the system more transparent and reliable since every users activities can be seen by all.

But do we have some police and probably FBI here? Lol and the judiciary as well to bring perpetrators of illegal and untrusted activities to book?
It does not mean your activity here is under watch per se, but anything you do on the internet is somewhat public and if you give away too many details, it can be used by the relevant authorities to identify you. Mind you that the forum does not moderate scam and the system is not built to protect you, you have to protect yourself, so learn how to do that.

Having said that, as for if the FBI is here, who knows, anybody can register an account here and they do not have to make their identity public when doing so. Even if the FBI or police is here, they are not here to protect you, they can lurk around if they are trying to uncover a big scam or something related to a Bitcoin mixer.

if they are tracking illicit BTC transactions and they land here looking for the owner of the BTC address in the forum, they will be watching and i think they are already here watching. Ulbrich was tracked because of his posts here in the forum.  identifying users by their real names will still be difficult unless the user did something big and crazy crime. he will not get away with it.

i remember Theymos asked KYC to everyone as his April Fools prank, there were actually users sending their documents lol i bet if he do it again, there would be users going to send IDs still.
536  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are the Altcoins Going to Dip in Short Term? on: March 19, 2024, 05:41:15 PM
its scary to hold altcoins when the dip starts, altcoins are always going to dump more than BTC, you can see your funds draining as it happens that is why a lot are also starting to sell. i think this is just a short pullback. give it a few days you'll see it will rally again to 70k.

but if you are skeptical about this dip and you think it will go down to 40k as some technical analysis are saying, maybe convert your holdings to stablecoin for now. market still is unsure whether it will be before the halving.
537  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: web3 will Revolutionize Online Shopping and rewards on: March 19, 2024, 04:37:05 PM

The using of bitcoin to pay for things you buy online and pay for services online was one of the main reasons of Satoshi Nakamoto of creating bitcoin but that aspect of using bitcoin has been forgotten and only the investment part does exist. But really if bitcoin is using to pay food items, clothes and other things online then fiat currencies will behave well and couple with the bitcoin investment then the world will be nice planet to enjoy life. It is only few countries accepting bitcoin for only shopping and even those countries, it is only few persons that shopping with it and not everyone.

And I think that is the last dream for all cryptocurrency enthusiast. In my location I have not seen anyone does that which they are accepting bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies for payment method. But time is coming that it will happen but not coming soon.

and not the memecoin like GOMDori.

there have been several online shops accepting cryptocurrencies but none so far that has become adopted mainstream. it's still the regular fiat that internet users are using to purchase things. i think because of the transaction fee as well, will stop even the crypto user from making transactions.

what is happening is that we are using a mobile app to convert BTC to fiat and this app can be used to purchase in online shops.
538  Economy / Economics / Re: Big instutions and Banks have invested too much in Europe on: March 19, 2024, 04:22:05 PM

it's not up to Putin to stop the war. one of the parties has to surrender for the war to be over or simply just peace talk and accept the condition of Putin since he has the leverage to give the condition. Ukraine also will not accept the condition of Putin since it's going to appear NATO to be weak for they are the ones backing the country. there's the reason for war to continue.

blackrock does have a plan to rebuild Ukraine which they bid an enormous amount of money but if Putin controls the country that money won't be going to Ukraine.

Your opinion is contradicting itself. You mention that it’s not up to Putin to stop the war yet the condition for stopping the war is accept the condition given by Putin itself which means if Putin doesn’t demand to Ukraine then this war is already over because it’s still up to Putin(Russia) decision on when they will stop the war because they are the only one invading Ukraine while the other country is just on defensive position.

This war is all about Putin(Russia) goal, which will not happened if they just agree to a proper settlement between 2 party.

both are attacking each other, Moscow was even hit. they are at war.
we are talking about after the war started. after the war started, it's not up to Putin anymore. this is not stopping anymore until Ukraine has no weapons as they call it demilitarization.  when the war hasn't started yet they can negotiate and stop the war. all Putin asked for was No NATO membership.

but now that institutions are involve, this is just about controlling the debts. that's why the war will continue and will even escalate more.

The Russian invasion literally has incalculable effects on the European stability and governmental policies.

Everyone wants the Russo-Ukrainian War to end, but it is unusually not easy to maintain peace and order and it is to be achieved is rather not clear. Easy solutions rest on unrealistic assumptions and impossible efforts.
The case for reaching a compromise with Putin rests on the assumption that he wants and needs peace and that he isn’t really committed to destroying Ukraine and Ukrainians.

https://thehill.com/opinion/international/3943927-impossible-and-possible-solutions-to-the-russo-ukrainian-war/

i don't think Putin is committed to wiping out Ukraine, if he is it will be like Gaza. Kyiv is closer to Russia but the Russians left it out. they instead head to the Blacksea area leaving Kyiv alone.

what was being talked about in different channels was that NATO's plan was just to drain Russia's resources as the war prolong. but it wasn't that easy since Russia is backed by China and Russia has gas to sell.

Was Putin ready for negotiations in the first days of the war? That is, in the first days of the attack on Ukraine? Then why was it necessary to attack? It is obvious here that these were not negotiations, but an ultimatum to surrender the interests of Ukraine, and such ultimatums have been put forward by Putin to this day. But now he still wants the conquered territories of Ukraine to remain with Russia.

the West and Russia are both meddling in Ukraine.
540  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Stop paying money to learn trading when you can learn it yourself on: March 18, 2024, 07:07:17 PM

there are many tutorials online and even on youtube where a person who wants to be a self-taught trader can learn well without having to pay.
when a person is left with few options to make money, he will focus on learning what he wants to learn and will read what is necessary. what I can suggest is just do it first on the spot market. this is very easy to do and even today many people prefer to do it on spot market only.

futures can be exhausting and will liquidate your funds easy. the way to make it in the futures market is to first profit in the spot market.
