521  Economy / Reputation / Re: Neg tag for opinion about laws. JohhnyUA's trust on: September 16, 2020, 01:40:44 PM
IMO we should separate our opinion from facts, even if JohnnyUA "doesn't care about the law" it doesn't mean he is not following them or abide to them also it doesn't mean that he did something illegal. Saying those lines "I don't care about the law" doesn't even incriminate you on any kind of crime it doesn't even get you arrested just by solely saying that so I don't think a negative trust for something you just said in relation to this is worthy of that, only if he said that after he scam someone from Bitcointalk is the only time I would consider a negative tag if I am a DT member.
522  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 16, 2020, 12:52:10 PM
Depay as replacement? That would be a huge downgrade compared to Suarez from the way I see it, every since he joined OL his value started to drop compared to when he was just a youngster in PSV. Barca will just be better off taking forwards in the premier league rather than taking Depay. Among the forwards link to Barca I think Lautaro Martinez is the most ideal for them to focus on as he is really proving to be a good asset for Inter, but this transfer seems to be impossible for them seeing that Inter and Martinez have a good relationship with each other.

Barca as many other teams has no money right now.
The only chance for them is to get Suarez out and use that money for Depay.

They can't even spend 25m € on a player, there is 0% to going for Lautaro.
The only thing that they can do is exchange players.

Then if that's the case why not just use the money they will have just in case they sell Suarez? I know big clubs like Barca are the most affected ones in the financial crisis but we have seen several news already that they have cut costs from wages as well as other activities just to reduce the blow, other than that there is always a chances that there will be new money flowing in the club as we all know with them having a lot of owners who will be willing to give them new money for them to remain on top.
523  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: We are looking for a smart contract developer on: September 16, 2020, 12:08:29 PM
You'll find it more easier to find a smart contract developer on freelancing sites. Why? Because you will already see their rates, reviews, and also satisfaction rating meaning you won't waste your time on talking to them one by one just to find the one. Here is a screenshot I took from UpWork and just search "Smart Contract Developers" in it where this website alone gave me 4 pages worth of freelancers looking for a job, try looking for other top freelancing websites as you will see another bunch of them.

524  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: License to Sell Bitcoin in Person as Oppose To Online Exchange? on: September 16, 2020, 11:11:06 AM
If you are talking about the United States in this question I think jackg is right to say that it will depend on what state are you doing your business in. For that if you are conducting your P2P business in New York (City) you will definitely have some kind of license which they call BitLicense in order for you to conduct buy and sell with your cryptocurrency, you need to register it as some kind of business activity. For other states or cities in the US I don't think they have something similar like that but maybe I'm not aware of some kind of law in particular so you must ask maybe a local attorney from your place to see if you can legally buy and sell crypto without a license.
525  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Legit trading courses on: September 16, 2020, 10:39:01 AM
In crypto, it takes 3 to 4 years to learn and be a pro trader. In your first 4 years, use small part of your capital to learn and accept any loss with your small capital. Since year 5, you can increase your capital if you feel you already understand the market and can manage your emotion well.

I would have to disagree with you, the length you are learning and experience trading doesn't necessarily be more good in trading. I know a lot of people here who have been in the market yet you can still see them as noobs in trading and I have seen people who have quickly adapted in the crypto market. IMO it's all about how you want to learn in trading crypto as well as discipline when it comes to your trade, mostly discipline is what is needed for you to follow your trade plan.
526  Other / Meta / Re: Appeal the ban "CoinIdol News" account on: September 16, 2020, 10:03:22 AM
I often read in the Press section and I most of the time don't engage in posts made by CoinIdol. For one other then clickbaity titles the articles don't really have any good info in it, and when people engage a discussion in your thread CoinIdol won't be responding. The way it looks like to me is you are just using the forum to promote your website and not engage in any kind of discussion or give clarification to the news you are giving. The sense of BCT being a forum is basically absent when you don't entertain anything the members are posting in your thread. So I think the ban given to your account is well deserve.
527  Economy / Economics / Re: Cryptocurrency and money total cryptocurrency market Question on: September 15, 2020, 10:54:13 PM
There's really no specific answer for this one. If we are only talking about the crypto business itself we can definitely expect the cash being invested in the expansion of the business just like what Binance is doing buying companies and websites as well as trying to monopolize the industry. But if we are trying to talk about the business owners of the company I don't think we know ehat they are actually doing with their money not unless they allow the public to know it, their lives are still private so we can't expect to know what they are exactly doing with their money.
528  Economy / Speculation / Re: at 100K will Normington, NPC's, the masses, etc fomo and bail in? on: September 15, 2020, 10:04:17 PM
You can't really associate the price of Bitcoin to any of these entities being attracted just because it has hit that price. Just by looking at the news right now you will see that some companies both big and small are buying Bitcoin as a part of their investment/treasury reserve as they see the current price attractive right now while you will see other companies don't even look at Bitcoin as something attractive to buy. IMO it's always about what is in the mind of who's running that organization and if the board agrees on his idea and it is all about that not some kind of number attracting all of them.
529  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-08-11] MicroStrategy Adopts Bitcoin as Primary Treasury Reserve Asset on: September 15, 2020, 08:47:48 PM
Quote
"Under the new Policy, treasury reserve assets will consist of (i) cash, cash equivalents, and short-term investments (“Cash Assets”) held by the Company that exceed working capital needs and (ii) bitcoin held by the Company, with bitcoin serving as the primary treasury reserve asset on an ongoing basis, subject to market conditions and anticipated needs of the business for Cash Assets, including future potential share repurchase activity," the filing states, adding:

I think this is the most important thing to see for their treasury policy. Yes we all know that MicroStrategy is buying Bitcoin as a means of alternative cash reserve but it clearly states in their policy that their Bitcoin reserve is subject to market conditions which as of right now they are eyeing another Bitcoin purchase because there was a significant price decrease on Bitcoin's value. Now they are just taking advantage of the market but it is also stated in there policy that their reserve can also be used for share repurchasing which they will likely liquidate their Bitcoin for that kinds of plan.
530  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Crypto service with Bank card. on: September 15, 2020, 08:04:08 PM
You are definitely looking for a custodial wallet alternative since you mention about them having tied up to a crypto debit card but I'm wondering why do you need to have an atm card for it? Custodial wallets right now have fast cash out options to dozens of banks you can sell your Bitcoin or any crypto to them and have your fiat currency transferred in your desired bank account within minutes, after that you can just use your regular debit card to withdraw the fiat currency you earned. Yes I know it will be more convenient to you on having a debit card linked straight to your crypto wallet but I don't think that there is a big difference in it.
531  Economy / Reputation / Re: I'd love to respond to Bitcoin SV's nonsense, but.... on: September 15, 2020, 07:11:04 PM
Actually this was really what I'm going for when it comes to trolls, I just posted recently in meta regarding korner having self-moderated threads in the Russian local board where he often deletes the discussion going on. Just by avoiding the topics created by them will simply just show that the members aren't bothered by his presence and he will practically be invisible for them. The trolls themselves will stop because they aren't getting the attention they are looking for in the forum that's why people are right saying "don't feed the trolls".
532  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: September 15, 2020, 06:34:17 PM
Big problems it seems for Suarez, here in Italy they are writing "He will not come to Juve, he can't get his passport done in time and Juventus will go for Dzeko".

This is a big problem for Barca too if it will happen, they probably can't get Depay.

533  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Own crypto + capitalize it on coinmarketcap =) on: September 15, 2020, 05:56:34 PM
Maybe you can take into consideration on having your coin listed through an IEO on a reputable exchange like Binance. Since Coinmarketcap is owned by Binance I think there is a guarantee that your cryptocurrency will be listed in CMC since their data on their exchange is also transferred from Binance to CMC. I'm not familiar with exchanges that give IEOs but just check them all out and if they are connected to CMC as well.
534  Bitcoin / Legal / Re: US citizen charge with running a Ponzi scheme/crypto token backed by diamond on: September 15, 2020, 05:15:32 PM
Just the audacity of this guy on creating a cryptocurrency "backed by diamonds" just to keep his scam going. I don't know why criminals think this way where if they are pushed in a corner they will create a new scam just to continue milking new people into getting their scam, it's like they got blinded by the money involved in it that they only see greed. Good thing they caught this guy but the bad thing is they got him when he have fooled a lot of investors already which millions of dollars isn't really a joke.
535  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: cryptocurency is real money real asset but why not insured? on: September 14, 2020, 11:31:36 PM
if you are asking for some kind of monetary protection like what the FDIC is giving for people who have deposits in banks I don't think you will find it in thia kind of market. Even the stock market don't have one but they do have different protection like trading halts and KYC. Just like the crypto market has a strict monitoring when it comes to there security as well as having KYC and AML procedures. Monetary insurances is something you won't see in markets where you are really risking your momey on.
536  Other / Meta / Re: Revoke self-moderating privileges from korner and other hypertrolls on: September 14, 2020, 10:25:59 PM
I don't think removing his privilege from creating self-moderated threads will stop him for continuing what he is doing, he can simply just create a new account in order to create self-moderated threads from that point. The discussion about him on the other thread was right where just by simply avoiding the topics he created this problem wouldn't exists, just by simply not posting in his thread you aren't feeding him any kind of satisfaction for his trolling.

Ideally - yes, not feeding the troll would be great but it's clearly not working and the troll is extremely disruptive. Some of those topic don't start out as trolling but eventually korner edits them, selectively removes posts, etc making it looks completely different than what the actual discussion was.

Limiting the existing accounts - or better yet, banning them - would raise the cost of trolling. Korner would need to create new accounts, farm them up, and then when those accounts inevitably expose themselves they could be limited/banned again. Look at the Bitcoin SV account - I think a lot of users feel compelled to respond because it looks like an official BSV account but in fact it has nothing to do with CSW or BSV. Taking that away would cripple korner's trollpower quite a bit.

Edited for spelling.

Alternative users in that board can create a similar topic to what korner is creating and start a normal discussion from them. To avoid some kind of plagiarism offense users before creating the topic should tweak their topic and give a reason why they created a similar topic, aside from that before creating it they should make the moderator aware on why they are doing that. In this way they could effectively avoid topics created by him, the lesser attention you give to him the more he will quiet down by himself.
537  Economy / Economics / Re: money is root of evil on: September 14, 2020, 09:11:13 PM
Like people will receive "equal" amount for them to buy food and other goods? What can you say for the ones making all those goods? Would you think that it will be equal for them? Like people who create and process foods will just receive vouchers in exchange for the things they created for you. I don't think that's a good idea. In this way I think corruption will be a thing that people will always try to take advantage of a system where people's lives will depend on vouchers. This won't really improve the world we have now tbh.
538  Bitcoin / Press / Re: [2020-09-12]Researcher kept a Bitcoin bug secret for 2 years to prevent attacks on: September 14, 2020, 07:09:57 PM
I think they have done right on doing so. Vulnerabilities where it hasn't been resolve yet shouldn't be disclose to anyone not unless the vulnerability is related to users doing a certain action like how older versions of Electrum are bring controlled by hackers. By staying silent they are giving themselves time to fix the issue not worsen the scenario where hackers might have the idea of doing the vulnerability said by them.
539  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Banking Giant DBS Hails Bitcoin & Crypto As Brave New Frontier in Report on Futu on: September 14, 2020, 06:36:15 PM
One thing is for sure companies don't really promote cryptocurrencies or Bitcoin not unless they have big plans on it on their own so I'm pretty sure they'll have some kind of big project after this. Remember how the CEO of JP Morgan said a lot of trash with regards to crypto but the minute they release their own JPM coin they became silent as they are involved with their own Blockchain based cryptocurrency? This is the same thing that is happening right now to big companies like this one where they will start giving praises and all that as they have a project in mind within the industry.
540  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: 2020 NBA Season on: September 14, 2020, 05:00:32 PM
Bro the Miami Heat almost wiped Milwaukee Bucks the number 1 seeded team in the East what do you think will happen when Miami faced the 3rd seeded team in the East? Because I believe it wouldn't even go as far as the 5th game of the series for us to show Miami can take down Boston easily. Also Boston Celtics is still uncertain when will Gordon Hayward will return and they definitely need him in this series if they want someone to match with Butler.

Unfortunately it doesn't work like that.  You cant just say they beat #1 so they will automatically beat #2-8.  To say the celtics won't even contend with them is rediculous.  Many times #7 beat the #2 team or #6 beat the #3 team it doeant mean an automatic win over a lower seeded team.

Yeah you can say that but I'm just saying facts here that even if Miami Heat is just 5th in the East they still manage to beat the #1 seeded game in the East which is really a a surprising thing to see. Celtics will definitely contend and be competitive especially because it is the semi-finals of the game. I'm just saying that Miami has the advantage during this game because they have shown what they are capable when they beast Milwaukee easily during their match.
